Another tasty takeaway. By far the best paneer I've had, clearly homemade. The sweet chili sauce is just the right level of spicy.

Had hair in food !! Phoned to complain only interested if I wanted to order again and hung up avoid them!!!

Popped in because I fancied a Tandori cooked meal and was certainly not disappointed! Depth and balance of flavour was lovely, the king prawns and chicken were succulent and portions were generous. Naan was perfect and sauce was sublime. This was my second visit and certainly not my last.

Although this has changed names from Mr India to sapphire star it's still exactly the same inedible food. Dont bother

Wow. What a great meal so tasty and fresh. I eat a lot of curries but the takeaway we had tonight was seriously in the top ten i have ever had and the other 3 people i was eating with all said the same. Absolutely lovely. Initially we were worried it wasn't going to be nice by stupidly judging the place on its name. Mr India the only advice i could give you would be to change your name so it is as classy as the food you serve. Wish you delivered to Essex!

Used mr India During lockdown. Food was ok but collection was bloody awful, waited outside for ages after they said it would be ready. Didn’t get a price on ordering just gave a card number which we thought dodgy Later charged £58 for four curries Not happy. Won’t be using again

Ordered a curry after work for me and my husband and it was disgusting if your thinking of ordering don’t bother save your money!

Stopped using Mr India some time ago because we had a couple of bad curries but it is now under new ownership so thought we would try it again..... Had a Chicken Dansak, Naga Lamb, rice, naan and an aubergine bahgee.... very nice.

I hadn’t realised Mr India Heathfield changed ownership in April 19. We popped in as my daughter wanted a chicken Kurma. My goodness what a beautiful taste, sweet but not sickly, creamy and a gentle spicy kick. So glad she let me dip a chip in to try! Amazing butterfly prawn and sweet chilli panir too. Looking forward to our next tasting.

If you want to order online for the Heathfield branch of Mr India...DON'T...JUST DON'T. the order will go through, the food will be ready....BUT IN EASTBOURNE. They know this is a problem. Heathfield blame Google and Eastbourne blame Heathfield (both with a smile on their faces). The food is third rate congealed pap by the time you get it home.

Had my usual madras which was ok however the king prawn exotica didn’t excite and my wife had a very upset stomach. One to avoid next time. Mr India has always been good previously.

We have been going to Mr India takeaway for a number of years now and every time their food has been good.

We had a home delivery and were really pleased we gave them another try. The food was delivered within the hour despite them being busy on a Saturday night. The man on the phone was courteous and the food was really good. Their curries were quite spicy which we like but maybe too spicy for some and the meat was good quality (I’m very fussy with chicken but it was really good.) They’ve upped their game and it’s paid off. We usually go to the curry inn but will use Mr India again.

I used to get take away from Mr India quite regularly. However the last few occasions have been below their normal standard- have they recently changed the kitchen staff? There are a range of dishes I would usually order - on the last offering the meat was extremely tender but the sauce in which it was cooked was not only a completely different colour (dark brown), it had the taste of curry powder & all the dishes were salty - not at all as customary.

Had a takeaway from here, which was ok, but I was a bit shocked at the cleanliness of the cool box used to deliver the food.

Visiting here after some time it was very disappointing. No atmosphere and not very clean, basic and poor service . The food was not good quality.

I always avoided this place at first as is fairly pricey compared to other curry take outs in area, however I thought I would give it a try as the quality in those other restaurants has gone down hill rapidly! I am really glad I did, its been a long time since I have had such fine cuisine! I will definitely be making this my regular Indian take-out! I guess what they say is true; you get what you pay for!

Ordered here for the first time tonight and I might as well have eaten cardboard for all the flavour that was in it. Won't be going back!

El sábado por la noche y yo decidimos coger una pareja para llevar. Pidió lo que quería y me apetecía un curry. Así que fui a pedir la mía - mucha otra gente sentados esperando para recoger el suyo. Sólo pedimos 3 cosas, el hombre que sirve me dijo que 20 minutos después, así que volver así que eso es lo que hice. Luego nos fuimos a pescar y bar para pedir mi cena chip asociados. Que era un servicio rápido y listo. Caminamos de regreso a la tienda india para cobrar mi cena. La tienda estaba llena de gente.

Ten pound a head for a delicious meal brought to your door....fantabulous! Chicken Tikka was scrummy and the chicken jalfreize divine! The only downside was the lumpy pilau rice

Por desgracia, esta parece ser la única india (sólo para llevar a la izquierda en Heathfield). Así, probamos por primera vez la semana pasada. No fue una experiencia barata y muy decepcionante. Su problema es, cuando un automóvil, usted sólo una vez en su hogar para mí, a 8 km de distancia, así que es demasiado tarde. Utilizan A Tarka Dahl era como! ! ! Tuvimos que hervir hasta conseguir la consistencia y probar, pero incluso entonces, nadie comería. Pollo Tikka era tan dulce, como la preparaban probado toda la bolsa de azúcar en, ¡puaj! Enfermizo! Os recomiendo comprar más lejos y llevar a casa.

Pedimos una entrega y lo hicieron completamente equivocados. Intentamos comer de todas formas y fue asqueroso. Les llamé y me dijeron que tenía que ir y recoger un reemplazo! Intentamos conseguir un reembolso - No interesados que no podían ni siquiera se molestó en disculparse. Así que nos fuimos y nos dieron otra orden que ahora estaba parcialmente correcta pero terminó en la papelera como todavía repugnante. Así que este lugar es mejor evitarlo. Es una lástima que están conectados (aunque no puedo imaginar cómo) al Café Rasoi que es preciosa

Disgusting, avoid like the plague. Don't even display a hygiene rating, wonder why? Threw meal away and got a decent take away just down the road.

We use this takeaway quite often. Particularly recommend the vegetarian Thali. Believe it is a family connection to the Cafe Rasoi just down the road.

Este es el lugar para ir si quieres el mejor curry en la zona. Picante, caliente, pero no era insoportable. Pollo que se deshace en la boca.

Not the best nor the worst Indian we have ever had but we will be trying one of the other Indians next time. Average.

I'm no stranger to hot and spicy foods. But as I'd not tried Mr India before I opted for a Chicken Korai which I've always known as a moderately hot dish (but not excessively). Echoing a previous reviewer all I can say is the overwhelming experience was that of 'spice' ! There were very few, if any, actual flavours I could pick out at all.I couldn't actually finish the meal - which for anyone who knows me must say a great deal in itself!To add insult to injury - I felt decidedly unwell for several hours afterwards.Avoid!

Following my review in April where I said that this once good takeaway, serving tasty and fairly consistently good fare had now become average at best, I now have to demote Mr India to Terrible. My daughter and her friend ordered a delivery on Friday and were both ill afterwards. Neither had eaten anything in common, or seen each other for well over a week, so the takeaway was the only common denominator. Avoid!

On Saturday we had out first Mr India delivered takeaway. The food arrived not as hot as it could be and covered in grease. Once we started eating it we realised there was a common theme through all our meals...spice! Considering we ordered mild to medium spiced foods we spent the whole time downing glasses of milk. Why use so much spice? It really ruined the food. We wont be ordering here again because on top of the poor food the final bill was very expensive. Maybe it was a bad day for Mr India but we wouldmt risk it again.

Mr India, a takeaway only, sharing its heritage with Cafe Razoi in Heathfield High Street which remains very good, was once excellent but is no longer reliable. Once the food was flavoursome and fresh, the spices vibrant and the service good. Over the last couple of years we have persisted in the hope that the last meal delivered was an aberration but unfortunately the standard has really declined.Often greasy, the food seems to all taste the same, albeit more or less spicy, is often delivered not hot enough, the oil is often stale, the poppadoms tasting very musty quite often, and the after effects of a curry the night before would suggest that this food isn't as healthy and light as a good curry can be.Sorry Mr India, you may deliver the food but sadly not the quality you once promised.

I've ordered from Mr India for year, once I would have said it was the best curry in town... Now I'd save your money, this evening we placed an order for delivery which was over half an hour late!! When it arrived there was gease from one of the meals all over the bag, the other curry was almost cold & looked like it had a glass of water poured on top!! This Mr India experience I can honestly say was my last!

We regularly get a delivery to Dallington from Mr India. Rarely are we disappointed. The specials like Achari are citrus and spice, a great combination with any of the other dishes on the menu. The Thali set menus are amazing value and easily feed two. Highly recommended.
