Possibly the worst chinese delivery ever in cambridge, I could have plastered cracks in walls around cambridge with there egg fried rice . I will be pushing this further diabolical food shame on you

We ordered egg fried rice and Oyster sauce chicken. Authentic flavours and delicious food. Staff are friendly and welcoming. Service was prompt, didn’t have to wait long for the food. Easily accessible, well located on Mill Road high street. Wide range of food to choose from, lots of vegetarian options available would highly recommend.

Amazing and speedy service. Very attentive. So many options to choose from. Extremely fresh. 10/10 recommend. I will definitely return.

Really enjoyed my visit here yesterday at lunch time. As the menu has such a large selection I asked for recommendations. As I’m not big spicy food eater, but I love seafood I got recommended a perfect dish for me with tofu, seafood and big prawns with rice on side. And I had lovely pot of green tea. They have great selection for drinks and food and service is quick too. Really lovely staff working there, would highly recommend a visit as there is plenty selection of authentic, tasty and well presented food.

A restaurant with an excellent menu and pleasant atmosphere. The hotpot is fantastic, in the form of a rotation, where you can choose the items you like, repeating the order as many times as you want. As a result, I learned to like hotpot. I'll be back again, for sure.

The dishes were very watery, tasteless and were not fresh at all. The meaty dishes we ordered hardly had any meat, but had Chinese cabbage, cauliflower, beansprouts and some spring onions. Strongly not recommend!

Guobao pork is Guobao starch, and you can't eat any meat at all. The pork belly chicken was average and the large plate chicken was too spicy.

Food that reminds me of home. Delicious, reasonably priced and good portion. Highly recommend crispy sweet & sour pork and braised pork belly.

Really enjoyed the food here. Everything was great and the crispy squid was my favourite. Will need to come again to try the hotpot next time

The seafood and beef brisket noodles soup were amazing with great broth flavours. The portions were big and the quality of the noodles were just the perfect texture. Will definitely be back for more Chinese food and will try the hot pot too

Been here with my family. The food was amazing and delicious. King prawn fried rice, sticky pork noodles soup sweet sour especially Ma Po tofu was my favorite. Was very spicy. Everything was good. The quality of the food and portion. Clean. Fast service.The counter staff /young man was helpful. Will come again and highly recommend it!

Review should be much higher. As a Chinese person the food is highly authentic and prices are brilliant. Aubergine cooked masterfully.

Ordered a through Hungry Panda App. No food has arrived. No reply from the restaurant number. Very disappointed in this and £37.00 poorer with no food to show for it! I wait to hear the restaurants reply with interest.

Ordered from Uber eats and my lemon chicken which I ordered for £10 came weirdly soggy with no lemon sauce. Will not order again

One of my fave places to eat in Cambridge. The food never misses whether you eat in or take away. Always recommend to friends when they’re craving Chinese food.

£28 overall not amazing. bit more effort in expectations. spare ribs small bones with fat and meat. crispy chilli beef tasted like banana fritter. pork belly was like frozen and fried bacon with of cabbage. hardly a pork belly i have ever seen and not tasty. enjoyed the cabbage the most sorry to say. guys. not great. i’m sure you wouldn’t serve that face to face.

The worst Chinese restaurant you could go. I’m Chinese and this restaurant absolutely is one of the worst.

We ordered the hot pot (£22.50) and it was divine! Great portions and the service was great, they also took card payment. We will be back!

Mr Ho's is by far one of the best Chinese restaurants I've found since returning to Britain after living in Asia for several years. The food is excellent and very reasonably-priced for Cambridge. The staff are polite and courteous, and always, in my experience, very helpful. I've eaten here many times, and it's always been great. The sea-spice aubergine is my absolute favourite... I could eat it all day long!

Decent enough food but no salad, nothing to go with the steamed dumplings and the vegetable spring rolls. No particular effort to present good well etc. Not worth the cost.

Had singapore fried rice and pot stickers. Tasty food. I would have enjoyed something with sauce with the fried rice. It was a mixed fried rice with pork chicken and. Shrimp. The shrimps were microscopic and very difficult to find. The fried rice was dry. Potstickers were good. However £7.50 for a good portion of fried rice is value for money. On the other hand 6.60 for 6 potstickers was expensive imo

Terrible quality. Avoid ordering delivery. [Edit the response from the restaurant is mistaken. They have gotten me mixed up with a different customer. I didn't speak to them about a wrong order or replacing. It was the right order but the quality was terrible. Duck pancakes were a small portion of poor quality chunks of meat. Beef and black bean sauce was rubber like beef, in lots of oil with a chopped carrot and not much else. I ended up throwing it away.]

Terrible service, our order was all wrong when delivered and the manager refused to deliver the right meals or compensate and even when we went in to collect he wanted to charge us for the right meals 🤯 I would not order from here again.

Nothing like true Chinese barbecues, they are stale, cooked in such a rough way and taste bad. The tomato is not fresh either, moldy taste

Friendly staff. Reasonable prices. However not for vegetarians/vegans. I like Chinese food and I'm vegetarian/vegan. I ordered vegetables with rice and there were 3 really small pieces of meat. I don't like that. :(

Having tried so many fancy Chinese restaurants, I can definitly say Mr Ho is the best taste and service I have ever received in Cambridge. The staff are very polite and welcoming. I will always keep coming back x

Absolutely delicious! Great variety of tasty foods, strongly recommend a number of the dishes we tried out today; the noodles, rice and atmosphere were all delightful. Our waiter/chef was also a treat, we had a great conversation, he was kind and considerate. Thanks to him and the whole team! The decorations are a great touch as well and the whole establishment has immaculate cleanliness standards.

Food was okay, but was very unimpressed with paying £18 for a what was meant to be half a duck... I called to ask what happened and was told they use small ducks... won't be getting takeaway again any time soon!

They make fantastic fried beef ho fun, at a good price.

Service at this restaurant is very poor. The waiter made us feel like everything he did for us was almost a favour, as if we were not paying for the food we had been served. I requested for a spoon up to 6 times and after half an hour of waiting I got tired and decided to eat with my hands what I could and for the rest, me and my husband took turns while sharing his spoon. Food is not that great either, very cheap quality and way too salty. I drank a galloon of water as soon as I left the restaurant. Don’t recommend it.

Lots of choices, friendly staff and very good value for money. The only problem you will have is deciding what to order - but don't stress everything we tried today was lovely!

On my first trip (which is about 2 weekends ago), I ordered char siu (pork) fried rice. Taste delicious, quantity is nice for me (not too jelak as too much will make you sick of it), everything is well-cooked, and most importantly - thumbs up for the wok hei !

Food is fine. They accept cash only payment. Would have been great had they accept other payment modes too.

Ordered Ho fen and duck soup noodle. The hofen was so oily as it made took half of the container, hofen was broken into little pieces with dark burned bits on it. Never going back again, what a waste of money.

Changed chef recently? Taste much worse than before. 平心而论啊 经常点这家的外卖，今天点的粥 没有味道 因为没有放姜丝 而且水很多，今天的干锅鸡 下面厚厚一层油 和干锅也是没什么关系了。京酱肉丝的话分量很少，味道还行。

Ordered four dishes for take out. They’re absolutely horrible, so oily and you can’t taste anything. Will never come back again.

Ive had takeaways from Mr Ho before and they were so good I wanted to try the dine-in experience. On a rainy night, serependipitously we found ourselves at the door and decided to try it out. Our cravings for hood, warm, heartfelt Cantonese dishes were satisfied. Staff was courteous too. All in all a memorable experience, we'd like to return to try the hotpot which seems to be a speciality and isn't available at later hours.

Love this place. Great food at very reasonable prices. Very accommodating service. I have become a regular. It may look unassuming from the front but don't let this put you off - it's an absolute hidden gem!

Often get takeaway, they are very fast and reliable! It's decently priced and food tastes pretty good. Would recommend if you're in the mood for a standard Chinese

Fan of soupy noodles?..then this place is a must visit. Very large portions and high quality food with authentic taste. And fits right in budget. We tried The chicken curry soup noodles Chicken soup noodles And roasted duck soup noodles Roasted duck is my personal favorite.

Waited 20 minutes for 2 bobas,one was strawberry and the other one was yam. Wasn't even sweet.But the shop was very clean.

I ordered two rice dishes, 2 noodle dishes and a bunch of spring rolls. As this restaurant was quite pricey compared to many other local restaurants I expected good food, both fried rice dishes were story - I suspect the rice was not day old rice as even I can make great fried rice with that. The rice dishes were totally unseasoned, no salt, msg or soy, just rice that had been moved around with some bits of meat. The noodle sites were better but again unseasoned, I couldn't taste any sesame oil either, but they weren't oily like far too many Chinese restaurants. The spring rolls were meant to contain pork (they didn't, just a shred of cabbage and a couple of shreds of carrot). Massively overpriced and poor quality food. Will not trust a deliver rating again.

Food was exceptional, good quality and plenty of it. However we were the only one couple in the restaurant last Friday night, the restaurant was lacking atmosphere and was set up as a dining room not a restaurant, I've edited my rating based on the food alone, if the restaurant had been a little busier and less basic I would have given 5⭐

Had a hot pot dinner here. Average food. The buffet is a bit overpriced because it has a limited choice of food.

Nothing good to say about our recent meal. Reheated, claggy noodles in an overly-salty sauce; tasteless and greasy spring rolls (mainly cabbage); reheated rice. Mr Ho also has an awful food hygiene rating (1/5 [requires major improvement] as at Nov 2019). AVOID.

Very delicious and 20% off! The salt and pepper tofu wasn't crispy, but that's my only point for improvement ;-)

1st time there and really enjoyed the sweet n sour ribs and the lamb ribs. Sadly only here for a few days but go find out yourself

Nice Chinese restaurant with tasty food and very kind staff. Just keep in mind you can't pay with card under 10£ if you go there.

We went there ON Saturday morning and were the only table. No one greeted us so we sat ourselves down. There was no one waiting on tables and eventually the man behind the counter took our order. We wanted to have the skewers but didnt knoq how to order. Unfortunately the dishes we had were poorly cooked and badly presented. There was nothing good about the meal, service or atmosphere

Avoid at all costs! Rude and terrible service. Food was undercooked. Staff wear sandals to serve food... awful overall.

Got a deliveroo order home. Prawn curry was disappointing. Not the usual Chinese curry you expect. Chow mein was good and beef was decent. Wouldn't bother ordering again. Somehow has a high rating on deliveroo and trusted that rating.

Excellent food (love the king prawn dishes in particular), great value for money and very friendly, polite staff. And they are happy to increase or decrease the spice level depending on your preference. Also great for takeaway. Thoroughly recommended. Will certainly be going back soon.

My favourite Chinese restaurant in Cambridge! We happened to find this place when we lived on Mill road. Food there are authentic, tasty, and most importantly not too greasy. Even we are not living on Mill road anymore, we visited this place every couple weeks.

Absolutely amazing authentic Chinese food! My wife and I loved it! 100% reccomend!

Whilst the food was pretty tasty - good portions for the main courses and rice dishes there were other issues that spoiled the meal. We had a Quarter Aromatic Crispy Duck - it must have been a baby duck ever as the portion of meat was so small. My main issue was the cleanliness of the place. The toilets were disgusting, looked like they hadn't been cleaned for a week, no paper towels in either of the dispensers, and the soap had been watered down so much it was barely more than water. There was also plenty of dust and dirt on the walls. If I had seen the state of these before we ordered I would have not stayed to eat. It was also very cold in the restaurant, my wife ate her meal with her coat on the whole time. And to finish off they don't accept card payments. However, there is no indication about this until you go to pay. I know there are other restaurants in the area that don't accept card payments but at least they let you know beforehand!

£16 a head hot pot, ingredients will keep flowing until you're happy and full. Good range of authentic tasties including seaweed, cow stomach, tofu, various meats, fish and veggies. Definitely recommend the spicy soup, plenty of chilli kick and Szechuan pepper in there. Nice laid-back atmosphere and friendly service, bonus facial steam from the bubbling hotpot too. Be aware - they didn't have a card machine when we visited so it's a good idea to bring cash.

Very friendly and considerate service, very fast serving, very tasty food at a very good price as well. Particularly recommended to those in a rush and those hang out late but do not want to compromise the health level of a late night dinner. The chef is very considerate, so don't hesitate to give them your personal preference. We did request the meal to be cooked a bit lighter than average, and the dishes arrived in the exact taste we wanted. We really enjoyed a night there.

Very yummy no-nonsense Chinese food, great prices, great location, and lots of choice! The spicy garlic shredded pork rice was great.

We ordered Sichuan dish (Mapo Tofu) and Spicy chicken. Both dishes came with identical Chinese style red sause, which were not spicy. I don't recommend this restaurant if you like the real Chinese food. Rice is not included in dishes and they are overpriced compared to what you get.

I hadn’t had Chinese food in ages before coming here, and the meal i just ate was a wonderful return to a cuisine i love. I had the hot and sour soup and a crispy sweet and sour pork dish, both of which were absolutely delicious — so delicious, i completely forgot to take a photo for this review before diving in! The prices were pretty reasonable too: my friend and i each ordered a starter and a main dish, and our total came to £28.50 (which i should mention had to be paid in cash, in case you aren’t in the habit of carrying cash on you). It’s no secret that Mill Road is choc-full of great restaurants, but if you’re in the mood for Chinese food, i’d highly recommend Mr Ho 😊

I love this place! I always come here and get the spicy hot pot. It's 16 pounds per person and you can order whatever food you want. I always get the fish. Y'all should give it a try!
