Mr fish in Highland

Absolutely disgusting, partner had kebab there was hardly any salad just lettuce and onion, also was cold, my chips were really undercooked, will not be returning

Unexpected discovery as everything else shut on a Monday evening. Spotlessly clean. Haddock and chips were delicious and fresh. Huge portion. Oh my, that haddock. Chips old fashioned hand cut. Staff were welcoming. Vast menu for all and salad bar looked fab, particularly their coleslaw. Nice end to the day.

Awful experience, food was disgusting , I was overcharged. After bringing it to his attention, he refused a refund. Attitude was intimidating. The prices on the board seem to be an estimate only Only accepts cash and refuses to provide a receipt.( HMRC dodge ???)

Bloody Lovely, Cooked to pristine. The staff were lovely, I'll be coming again Fish was VERY succulent and the flavour of the chips exploded in my mouth.

21/07/22 Me and my mate along with his mum Ordered food and wanted it be be delivered to his mums address In dingwall. My Mate ordered the food online and to be delivered we ordered the food around 4;30pm that day and said it would be delivered by 5pmish. it came to Half 5 coming on to 5:45pm still no sign of the order. My mate Called MR FISH And said to them the order was due to be delivered around 5pm this was almost 5;45pm the phone was handed around in the shop until we got the boss on the phone. He said to him it was delivered to the address in dingwall which it wasn't then he asked the driver did you deliver the order he said yes to a man and his kid in my mates mums street got the wrong address. So mate mate said to the boss in MR FISH said what do I do now then the Bosses words were What do you want me to F*cking do about it and hung the phone up on him with No apology, our a refund! There online service and delivery is a complete shambles. We will not be eating out there again. Ever! With the Bosses attitude he shouldn't be aloud to work with people and serving the public.

Visiting the area we decided to have fish and chips with mushy peas for evening food , it was cooked too order and at £19.70 not the cheapest we’ve had …… we had high expectations and we were very disappointed, the chips were pale and stodgy , the batter on the fish wasn’t crisp or light , it was spongy and soggy , very stodgy, the peas … well I doubt anyone could mess up mushy peas ….. we picked at them and didn’t enjoy so won’t be visiting again……

Service is always very fast, staff are hard working and it shows. Food is always good, I have found other places in Dingwall have soggy refried chips or feel cooked from frozen, Mr Fish is always good and has a nice variety.

Very greasy and didn’t like the batter. It was more like toad in the hole than a sausage supper. Not enjoyable, didn’t eat it.

The king rib, chicken fritters, battered sausage hit the spot - so did the cheese burgers After a quick visit to Dingwall we always seem to polar back to Mr Fish - great food

I've been here a few times, as it's very close to where I live. Each time it's been good, always freshly cooked, and very tasty.The last time, however, wasn't as good. Maybe because it wasn't a Friday night - typical fish night. It was cooked freshly, I think, they did have some fish in the precooked bain marie, I didn't notice if my fish came out of that or fresh out of the fryer. It took ten minutes for my order, so I presumed that was the fish being cooked, maybe it was just the chips, But the fish tasted oily, it had bones in it which it hasn't had before, and just wasn't as nice as all the other times I've been. The chips didn't seem as nice either. And they never put enough salt and vinegar on, no chippy does these days - even when you ask for loads they still don't put enough on.They insist on trying to put your meal into a carrier bag as well, I don't need one as I live so closely, it's in paper, that's good enough for me. Why waste single use plastic? I have to tell them no bag, yes I am sure.Next time I go, I'll make sure it's on a Friday.

Purchased fish and chips tonight. The fish was cooked fresh along with the chips Quite frankly the best fish and chips I've ever had except from a small fishing village in Newfoundland Canada. Will definitely be going back. We are on holiday from North Yorkshire

Good chippy, everything seems to be cooked to order, which although means a bit of a wait, you know the fish will be freshly cooked.They don't put nearly enough salt and vinegar on, no chippies do. Luckily I have my own at home.The kebabs had a good spicy chilli sauce, the pitta was good, and the meat was plentiful. BUT the meat was poor quality, full of bits of bone, and not much flavour. They do have chicken kebabs, maybe I'll try one of those next.

As of about ten minutes ago I just finished a double battered sausage supper from Mr Fish and if they were still open I would probably go back for a second one.Never tried them before, didn't actually know they existed until I was checking the opening times for my local (Renato's) and found they were closed, google suggested Mr Fish to me and I'm so glad it did!Sausages are a little nicer than the usual el-cheapo meat sticks you get in some other chip shops, batter lovely and crispy!Chips are so fresh, surely that oil was changed just before I went in! If they're like this all the time then they're the freshest chippy chips I've had in many years!Definitely try Mr Fish if you're in the mood for a really good chippy.Side-note: my meal would have been approx £1-2 more in Inverness, so it's great value too!

We arrived in Dingwall late one evening and decided to get a takeaway from Mr Fish. We got pizza, stuff from the frier, kebabs and a Calzone.the pizza and frier stuff weren't very good, but the kebab and Calzone were good.

Great fish and chips, cooked while you wait therefore fresh as it comes! Wait is only about 10 minutes. Very friendly staff.

Decent fish and chips - pizzas looked good too! Stopped in on passing and enjoyed good food reasonably priced. Easy to park.

The only fish is haddock but the quality of the fish and chips was excellent. The fish was cooked to order and all nine of us thoroughly enjoyed.

Ate from gear twice in two weeks, they only cook fresh and you can tell, the battered fish is excellent, the staff are polite and friendly, just wish they did the chips for a few minutes more

Great for lunch walk down hill from Tulloch Castle (the Castle doesn't serve lunch) fish and chips were good, reasonably priced and the portions were generous.

We turned up at this take away in December 2016 and ordered fish and chips for 14...with a few extra bits. The service was excellent.. we didn't have to wait too long and the fish was lovely.

They really do the best fish and chips in the neighborhood and high quality products great pizza , thin crust, my son loves their nuggets and friendly staff as well

What can be said but make sure you wear your expander pants! The portions are amazing, freshly cooked and huge! How chips should be!! Excellent!

Después de un largo día de caminatas y excursiones regresamos a nuestra casa y quería tener una buena comida de pescado y patatas fritas. Mi marido fue a Dingwall para recoger la comida. Esta fue la peor comida de nuestro viaje de dos semanas. El pescado y las porciones de chip eran pequeñas. Todo estaba muy grasienta. Además, la grasa no estaba limpia y tenía un sabor extraño todo además de ser grasienta. Que habíamos comido en varios increíble chippys durante nuestro viaje y pescado Sr. fue una decepción total.

Bland, tasteless, soggy, undercooked slop. Had to throw it all in the bin. Chips should be brown and crispy, not white and squishy.

Pretty expensive.Chips not cooked great.Very pale.Had the wrong order on several occasions.Used to do affordable specials,even these have gone up in price.If I want a decent chippie I go to Avoch chippie.

Dreadful food appalling service what more do you need to know. If you are starving to death then there is always grass in the fields not tasty but then neither is the food in this place.

We were staying locally and looking for something for dinner. We came across this place and had a lovely meal. I had the mushroom pizza which was freshly cooked and was delicious and hubby had the chicken kebab. There was plenty in the kebab and again he thoroughly enjoyed it.We went on a saturday night and it was very busy but our order was taken and we only had a 10/12min wait. Would defo come back here and recommend. Plenty of choices.

Everything is freshly cooked when you order so you may have to wait 10- 20 minutes but it is well worth it. Chips delicious,batter crisp and tasty and they also do pizza and kebabs, an authentic Italian chippie and in my opinion very good.

You have to wait 5 minutes as it's cooked fresh, but it's well worth it. Lovely bit of fish. Open to at least ten every day, apart from Friday and Saturday when its eleven. Enjoy. They also do pizzas and kebabs but haven't tried them yet.

OK chippy but the calzone pizzas are awesome. Worth a visit to try them out. Friendly staff and food is cooked to order not stored in a hotplate for hours.

Mr Fish is only an average chippy, and the pizzas are poor. However, it does excellent burgers (freshly grilled) and the kebabs are always good too

I just happened to notice such a bad review and had to write my own - I go here every time I want a fish supper and they are the best chip shop in town and have done for the last 3 and a bit years that I have lived here. The service is excellent, although if too early you do have to wait, but that is encouraging because you know they are doing it fresh. Never had a bad experience yet. It is a takeaway and of a very good standard compared with many I have been top. I have not had any of their pizzas, but have heard many people say they are very good. Get your fish supper here every time! (Don't like that people only review things when they have a bad experience - the other review saying bad things has got to be in the minority. Great staff!

Staff were unfriendly, unhelpful and abrupt, food average and after waiting for it to be cooked, when we got home it wasn't what we ordered. Won't be back. That's the 2nd time we were I satisfied with the staff. There won't be a 3rd time.
