Mr Chipz in South Lanarkshire

Got 2 fish suppers about a month ago. Worst fish and chips ever. Chips were rock hard, must’ve been refried over and over. Absolutely inedible. Fish not much better. Complete waste of money, will not be returning. Not even worthy of 1 star. Completely disappointing.

It appears that the old owner has not taken down HIS website, so folk out just watch what you are doing , now I have paid the previous owner and will have to claim this payment back from my bank . What idiot leaves a old website up when the new owners have taken over this business for months now.

The shop has changed names a few times in recent months. Until recently, the food was still to a good standard. Sadly, it’s gone way downhill. Chips that were once crisp n fluffy are now greasy n soggy. The vape counter at the window suggests they are not trying to attract customers by the quality of food sold. Sad to see. Go elsewhere if you can.

We got a selection from this order, special fish and chips, chicken goujons, mozzarella sticks, fritters and a half pizza crunch. We received a call from the take away to let us know they had no sweets chilli left, which was fine. We don't really have that ever. The special fish looked nice but once half eaten it was clear that the fish was not de-boned very well. As I almost choked on a fish bone, and was put off the rest of the fish. The chips where perfect and nibbles perfect.

chips were awful not even cooked and so greasy, all went in the bin. fish and sausage were very greasy and barely edible. used to really like this chippy but very much doubt I would order from here again which is a shame.

Food was bad, a soggy mess. A fish and chip shop needs a competent fryer. My order was not prepared by a competent fryer

This is the third time, chips were awful, not even ready, as for steak pie, taste horrible, onion rings rank, I recommend don’t order it. Very disappointed. 0/10

The worst food I've seen in 40 years,chips look like frozen chips from a bag not freshly prepared,same low quality sub standard rubbish,it's changed its name to Tony's but don't let that fool you,it's still ran by Indians and that means utter trash,they removed the ice cream stand and replaced it with cheap smoking vapes looking more like an Asian corner shop than a chippy, atrocious I can't believe just how bad this place is

First time ordering and the food was lovely and was still roasting hot considering I live the other end of Ek delivery was nice and early and the girl who delivered it was very pleasant by go to now for a chippy dinner

Not the best let’s be honest. Very soggy and the chips and batter had a funny taste. Only went here due to my favourite chippy being shut. Don’t think I will be ordering here anytime soon.

The chips were really dry and had a strange taste from them and couldn’t be eaten. They also didn’t have the extra vinegar that I had asked for on them. The fritter was nice tho! Really disappointed as I have ordered from here many times before :(

They Closed yesterday for Scotland game but continued to keep there website open. Took my money and now refuse to pay me back. Not answering phones ect, Human decency would be to refund me.

I used to enjoy this chippy but recently the potato fritters has tasted like rubber, hardly any potato and looks like rotten bits through it, the sausage you used to get the choice of with or without batter, so my daughter hasn’t been happy they don’t do that now, you ask for salt and vinegar and don’t get it, but really disappointed with the fritters

Fish was squashed and soggy with the piece of lemon being hotter than the fish itself. Fritters with curry sauce had warped and spilled everywhere and were like mush given how long they had been travelling. If you can't afford proper containers to deliver food, people will stop ordering. Can't believe I gave 5/5 on 24/03/24 to then have this happen.

Probably better going to the shop to pick up. Fish Supper didn't travel well. Batter wasn't crispy. Chips are great though and kids sausage box is great value for money.

Fish had cheese all over it, I know we requested cheese as an extra but who puts in on the fish! Tartar sauce was coleslaw. The chicken was disgusting, not cooked and was black. Only decent thing, slightly, was the chips. Will not be ordering from here again, complete waste of money.

Stopped in last night for a munch, the food we got was absolutely disgusting, I got a sausage and my partner got a pizza crunch and honestly the worst we ever had, 2 bites in and it was in the bin, shop looks like an absolute dump, out dated and dirty, really wish I had jumped on my instincts telling me to leave, ended up having to go back out to Marinis at Lindsayfield to get something decent to eat. Avoid unless you like eating from a wheelie bin

food was fine, a bit cold but tasted alright however not consistent. I ordered a chicken nugget supper about a week ago and it came in a long container but ordered tonight and it came in a small container so half the portion of chips, a bit disappointing as they should be consistent for the same price

Worst congealed curry sauce I’ve ever seen, considering the chips were hot don’t understand. Couldn’t even touch them, was disgusting

Normally my go to chippy, rolls were stale chips inedible I asked for tomato sauce but it came deluged in it, for a regular customer not good enough

Chips were reheats & the fish had been fried in what tasted like, poor quality oil. Won't be rushing back on this performance

The food was late and missing several items. When we called to ask for the remaining food to be delivered we were told that they couldn’t deliver it and instead we could get a meal on a different night. Having now eaten the food that did arrive, we won’t be taking them up on that offer. The sausage was fine (although the batter wasn’t very crispy) but The chips were inedible- stone cold and undercooked. We’ve had good food from Mr Chipz before but we won’t be risking it again.

chips and burger were very greasy - chips and fish cake were rubbery like they were warmed up - not up to the standard we usually get.

Some of the chips weren’t cooked, the chips cheese and curry sauce was cold.

1st time ever leaving a negative review with any takeaway, we ordered 2 suppers and a kids meal, and every portion of chips received was inedible. The chips were solid and were undercooked. We called the shop for replacement chips and were sent the exact same, was so disappointing and cost us a lot of money for the food. I don't know if it was a problem with the oil or the fryer, but it's the worst chips we have ever had. The sausage and steak pie were lovely but the meal was ruined by how bad the chips were and even worse when the replacement chips were just as bad

batter on fish was not crispy or crunchy - it can only be described as flat, anaemic looking and slightly soggy. When you cut into it and picked it up the fish broke up and fell out of it.

Smashing grub, nice and early, toasty hot. Hard to beat

Vile. Food was covered in grease and had very clearly been lying for a long time before being delivered. It was extremely soggy and the batter on the fish was incredibly chewy and thick. It was all stuck together and almost impossible to eat. I will never be back.

Have used Mr Chipz for a while now. The food is always fresh and cooked perfectly. It's my first choice when ordering fish and chips online. If their food and delivery remains of the same quality, I will always use.

Was up from 2am untill 8am being sick, ordered 2 pizza crunch , one for me and one for my pal, I started being sick around 2am and kept being sick every half hour untill 8am , still feel sick as I’m writing this (5pm), my friend was being sick from 9-11am non stop , please don’t order from here no clue how they have 4.3 star rateing , stay away from this place

They said our order was out of delivery when I wasn’t and then we had to wait a further 30 minutes for our order to be delivered when the order arrived it was soggy and cold really not happy with the service

Chips were ok bit of an aftertaste with sausage, sausages obviously been sitting for a length of time. Ate half of one, would have ordered a Victor's but weren't listed for delivery

I can't fault Mr Chips. The food is always super hot & delivered early. The fish suppers are fantastic, great size of fish with no bones, which is a must in this household

Ordered last night, delivery was missing one item, called the chippy told it will be sent out, it wasn't. Out of pocket and son had to leave for late shift with only part of dinner. What we did get was hot and tasty enough. But very disappointed by service

The chips were bad quality really hard and inedable not enough curry sauce on the chips cheese and curry sauce this is the last few times now same issue at least this time it was hot as last twice was not.

Dried out greasy fish black chips (not from being over cooked just bad potatoes)and scraps mostly unedibile supposed to be mid week treat and very disappointing won't be ordering again as food went in bin 😑

When I called shop because order was marked delivered was told before I have an address that it was on the way? He then checked said be there in 5 mins. Just Eat them message to say it’s delayed. It arrived over 30 mins late, was cold and greasy. Only fit for the bin. Tried calling shop back says voice box full? The attitude of the guy at Mr Chipz was awful and he was lying through his teeth. £30 for food that went in the bin. With Neither Mr chipz or Just eat taking responsibility. Last time we order from here appalling customer service and food only fit for bin!

Normally my go to chippy best in EK, only downside this time was i ordered two rolls and fritters and got 3 fritters in a box instead bit of a let down.

I regularly order from here and always had brilliant meal but my fish tonight wasnt good at all. The batter was soggy and the two fish stuck together I couldn't separate them . Chips were lukewarm too. Not up to the usual quality ,sorry

No delivery was made to our address and was submitted as delivered on app!! Phone restaurant and they told us driver on way then we waited another half hour tried to phone back restaurant and no answer and they have closed and we still do not have our food!!! Absolutely ridiculous do not recommend
