Mr Chipz in South Lanarkshire

Usually I order curry or gravy sauce to put on my chips but the last few times it has been watered down. First time they watered down the curry it slid off the chip and went all over my top. So next time I tried the gravy again watered down so thin. I wrote this as my experience on Just Eat but nothing changed. So now I have changed my chippy and I go to The Blue Lagoon in East Kilbride shopping centre and you can eat in there also if you like. The curry sauce is nice and thick and doesn't slide off the chips.

Ordered fish and chips the was a dried up mess it must have all day my husband is not fussy but he said that is horrible we will.not be back

as a family we all really like the food from Mr chipz, so when they said it would be 10 minutes to wait i didn't really mind. I was patient for the 10 minutes, I was patient for 15 minutes but when I saw them only putting the food on after 20 minutes I was really disappointed. If it's going to be half an hour, tell me. When I queried this I was dealt with a shrug of the shoulders and a response of well its usually 10 minutes. The only reason I gave my experience one star is that I didn't have to wait for a refund.

Had delivery 25th April, my review was , bloody amazing, fresh,crispy . By a country mile the best delivered chippy delivered . Fish was so so nice

So, I placed an order for collection for 2 large pizzas and when I went to pick them up, they were not large. Maybe they are large to a mouse, or to some other small rodent / insect but not to a human being. I queried if these were the large pizzas (thinking that they may be medium ) and the guy mocked me and said “these are the biggest pizzas in East Kilbride” in an extremely haughty and condescending manner than didn’t make me particularly happy to give him my business. I can state with confidence that they were definitely not the biggest pizzas in EK - Marini’s pizzas are bigger, Dolce Vita pizzas are bigger, Domino’s pizzas are bigger, Pizza Hut pizzas are bigger, Marmaris’ pizzas are bigger, Sainsbury’s own pizzas are bigger, Morrison’s own pizzas are bigger. The list goes on and you get my gist. If he had been slightly more amenable and nicer then I wouldn’t have been unhappy but he was really rude to me. I later found out this guy is the owner - I suggest he takes up a course in customer service and how to talk to people and resolve customer queries as his attitude is absolutely appalling.

Used these guys a fair few times and the thing that consistently impressed me is their care for customer service. They must be one of the few takeaways to actually respond to reviews on just eat with details on why. In this instance the food was great but some of our order was missing. The delivery driver called back and the restaurant called me to apologise and they had already sent out another driver with the missing items. So I received the items before I had finished my meal. These guys food is great and made with care but was impressed with how they handled a mistake.

Visited here a few times when I've been in the area and the food is always amazing! I like that when we go in we have a 5-10 Mon wait for pizza crunch or fish suppers as they are done fresh - much better than stuff that's been sitting out getting soggy for hours! Top chippy in EK for sure.

I have used Mr Chipz for many a year now and must admit that the service and standard of food is first class, Ok you might have to wait , as the food is cooked fresh and don't have it sitting for any length of time. Can recomend it to anybody , they also do home delivery .

I have now used this place a number of times. Delivery is always quick and punctual. I have also eaten direct from the shop and it was excellent. We have had a variety of pizza's side dishes, fish etc. , and all have been great quality.

just been here , smells like a tradition chippy , took 10 minutes as they said .awesome fish suppers crispy n fresh ,best i ever had .everything looked fresh only thing that needed cleaned was ice cream freezer . give it a go
