Best Chippy I've ever been to. Very reasonably priced, very friendly service, food cooked fresh to order and extremely tasty.

Had fish and chips which was kindly delivered and the meal was hot and very enjoyable. Thank you so much for delivering

Last night I decided to grab some fish and chips from here. Last time I attended this place was last November, at that point the chips were white barely warm, quite hard with an awful after taste not even the sauce could cover it. However, as it was just around the corner last night I took the risk and both fish and chips were cooked to perfection and service was fab. Not sure if it is under new management or got a new cook either way keep it up.

Excellent value, nice fresh chips and the spicy curry sauce was awesome!! Edit - just been again two years on and Mr Chips still offers amazing value, freshly cooked food and the spicy curry sauce is still top notch 👍

Awful. 4 pieces of chicken in the curry. The rest was vegetables.

We have been going to Mr chips for a few years. Usually the food is lovely. Used to love the homemade rissoles. Until the breadcrumbs needed a chisel. Tonight the chips looked awful tasted worst. Like they been hanging around and then recooked. Also quality on sausages was dreadful. Sadly we won't be returning for a very long time

Not the best chips in town, they often taste undercooked which is always disappointing. But the staff are really friendly and helpful. The staff and the options that they have available is the reason I keep going back. If they could just cook the chips a little longer it would be perfect!

Staff are incredibly polite and helpful, the food itself is delicious and portion sizes are plentiful. Would have given more stars if I could have.

Sorry to say I called on Saturday 9th had 2 child's rissole and chips take away, there was one customer before me staff were lovely but the food was terrible. The rissole was full of under cooked chips which were in hard lumps and the chips were saturated in oilas if they had been put back in a few times. I was really disappointed because in the past the food has been great

Read many good reviews, so decided to visit . Service staff were friendly, the shop was in complete chaos ( as it was over run by a large group of very loud teenagers ). Who were not rude - just being high on life. Food was cooked to order ( always good), but when I returned home I was throughly disappointed- the fish was very over-cooked ( Dry and lacked any flavour, with little or no batter on ). The battered sausage was rock-hard and also dried out . Only redeeming thing was the chips - which were outstanding. But sadly the fish fell short of what I expected . Visited Wednesday evening

Unfortunately the food does not match the service,chicken curry with 4 tiny pieces of chicken the rest pepper's peas carrots absolutely garbage.The fish was average at best and the chips were poor Very disappointed as a few weeks ago we had lovely food ...

We had warmed up chips from the night before, they went in the bin, horrible, we were there just after it opened, we should have had nice fresh chips.

Sorry to report Chips rewarmed and rather hard (not fully cooked.) Very disappointing! Threw them away Difficult to always have fresh chips, but essential to sell a edible product if you are to retain repeat customers. Overall - won’t be back unfortunately

For very good reasons the best chip shop in town. The queue of local people at busy times speaks for itself. Not too greasy, good portions and quality fish. Good other range of standard chip shop options. Highly recommended if you are visiting Llanelli.

Worst chippie in llanelli, shuts at 9pm went in at 9.40pm... Woman had such an attitude, slamming the till draw, moaning! 20min for chips and they were buzzing!!! Undercooked, loads of bruised bits and black eyes couldnt eat them!!!! Dont bother!

it has been the best chippy by far for years ,but i went there 3 weeks ago and the chips were absolutely awful , is there a new boss, or are they using the wrong spuds ? but whatever it is im totaly gutted ,

Nice food, first time trying here. Ordered a battered burger and had it but it don't come with a bread roll? I've never had this before it has always come with bread from other places. So was gutted when opening and discovering this. Would have like to of being informed before hand so I could of bought a bread roll. Lady who served me was so polite, and friendly though.

Chips were really nice and plentiful, potato fritters were cooked to order beautifully and pie was great. The only let down was the fish was smaller than expected and the batter was soggy. Probably due to being wrapped for 10 minutes while I got home. I would definitely go back if I was passing. Staff were great too.

Gravy watered down , chips undercooked, overcharged by £1.10, but woman serving had such an awfull attitude egnoring us to the point of we nearly walked out,, wouldn’t dare challenge her about payment, filthy uniform.

Fab chips, great portions. Nicest batter sausage had in more than 20 years. Batter so light and crisp. Homemade rissoles fab flavour , however breadcrumbs too thick and can be like leather

Rarely buy chips from a chippy, but today I was really hungry and didn’t feel like cooking so thought we’d have takeaway, there were a lot of black bruised chips with lots of eyes, they were overcooked and dry. The worst chips I’ve ever had by far. I cannot believe they serve that up and charge for it. Went straight in the bin.

I took a short cut home from Llanelli beach stopped here to pick up food for my grandchildren really delicious and hot when we are down there it's our port of call on the way back highly recommended

Worst meal from any chip shop I have ever had, well over cooked fish, most of it being inedible. If this is the best Chip shop in Llanelli..then I hate to think what the others are like.

By far the worse chippy I’ve been to in Llanelli, ordered large cheesy chips with a large sausage and when I received the food apart from it being stone cold, there was about 15 burnt chips if that which were all squished together and hard, there was literally no cheese and the sausage was not edible at all!

I will be the first to admit that back in the West Midlands, we are spoilt for some of the finest chip shops. But regardless, the service, the chips, the battered products we had were all absolutely horrible and ended up throwing much away despite our hunger. We were helping my son and his girlfriend move into the area and by the time we finished for the day, we deicded to go out for a meal. Unfortunately being new to the area and a Saturday night, our luck was out with Restaurants so we thought we take a selection of chips and 'stuff' back to their new flat. As we entered Mr Chips, they said we're closing in 10 minutes and what we could see was all they had left! No worries we replied, we'll take what ever is left. Every single item from the chips to all the battered products were almost unedible. Apart from charging us full price for stuff they should have thrown away the service was almost as dire as the food. My son will be on the look out for a quality chip shop and hopefully I will get to sample decent chips on my next trip there.

I would rate my past 4 experiences here 1. Each visit has resulted in waiting for my order for over 10 minutes even when quiet. The staff seemed stressed and the food is mediocre at best. My orders have been basic yet still have taken quite a while to prepare. The food in the display cabinets looks dry and old. What was once a great chippy has nose dived tremendously.

I love my chips looking and tasting fresh with a golden glow, and I have to say my takeaway order was absolutely lovely. When you have a crazy working schedule, an empty belly and are on your last ebb for a treat...this chippy now definitely wins it for me. It takes on board customer feedback which means they care for their customers and it reflects in their service as 2nd to none - quick to order...🏆thank you!!

Popped in after shopping in Trostre. The shop was busy but didn’t have to wait long. The girls behind the counter were very friendly and helpful. The food come quickly considering the fish I ordered was freshly cooked to order. Everyone’s food was really good and hot and chips were crispy and nice. Responsible priced to. Thank you.
