This was by far the best fish and chips I've ever had!!! The bloke who served us was lovely and very polite!!! Would 100% recommend this place!!!

Avoid if you can. The chips are RANK 🤮 In a town known for fish n chips how could you get it so wrong. Never had bad fish n chips in Blackpool but never been here. Were they the cheapest potatoes, probably but that taste.... were they precooked in bad oil then reheated in bad oil. Seriously, had to eat a piece of rock to get rid of that rank taste it wasn't going away and I don't normally eat sugar but had to. Seriously guys AVOID !!!

Spent nearly £20 in here for me and my son! I had Fish Chips and mushy peas and my son had Sausage chips and gravy! The worst chips I have ever had absolutely awful ! I would have asked for my money back if we hadn’t been so hungry.

I ordered fish and chips from here. Located on a quite bit along Blackpool Stripe. The fish were under cooked and the chips were rock hard with no taste. Everyone looked tired and grumpy. Very disappointed in my order as family and I were all hungry.

One of the best Fish and chips I had recently. Freshly made, good quality food. Huge amount of food and really delicious. Good service and kind owner. 10 people can sit. Kids seating available

Wife and myself called in for fish chips fish . Fish was the best i tasted for a long time. Used to go to Yorkshire fisheries not any more. Try this chippy you will not be disappointed. Also they allow service dogs in . Thank you for a great meal .

Overpriced charged 10.50 for fishcake chips and a can of pop guy who served was miserable chips tasted like they were not fully cooked fishcake was decent about the only thing that was won't be back and wouldn't recommend at all would give 0 stars if I could stay away

Quality has gone down! After visiting this place a few years ado and the family enjoying the fish and chips and sausage and chips, we visited again on the evening Wed 24th Aug 2022, place was quiet around 7.30pm and we sat down to place our order. Order consisted of fish and chips, sausage and chips and battered sausage and chips with canned drinks. Pros ~ First impressions looked good Good Portions Staff Friendly All food served is Halal Tasty sausage Cons~ Seats all have tears in them, looking very old and dated All battered food was totally tasteless Cod was a little too soggy Issue maybe their oil used? Drinks very pricey Charge 0.30p for any sauces, tartar, mayo, ketchup Would we return in the future? Unfortunately no as there are a number of other fish and chip places to try, which is a sham as they used to be so good.

There workers look like racists. they always treat the Asia's/Brown people so differently. they go make faces and make angry noices like we did something bad and sometimes they would ignore us

Lovely staff, it was a really hot day and they were lovely, quick service and can't complain about the price either 🙂

Had an amazing experience, the lady from the chippy gave us a free kids meal as I lost my bank card and wasn’t able to pay. Overwhelmed with the emotions and such a great people around us. By the way, the chips and sausage were delicious ( especially when your child was expecting it but in very last minute you have to say no - I can’t buy it) due to some kindness lady she had her lunch and it makes us very happy and full Thank you very much xx

This has to be the BEST fish and chips I have ever had! Cooked fresh in front of you, the portion sizes are great even the kids meal, value for money, room to sit and eat inside, the lady running the place was pleasant. Overall i would travel from Manchester to Blackpool just for this food. 5*

Incompetent staff, had us hanging about like idiots waiting for our order they never put through. The staff member acted as though we hadn't ordered anything. Food was stale and undercooked as well , won't be back.

came here tonight, desperate for food as all the others were packed! waited 15 minutes, miserable man behind the counter. serving the food and the burger I had wasn't cooked and cold! id rather starve next time, than come here!

Absolutely disgusting!!!!! Rude, arrogant and extremely unhelpful staff. Attitude towards customers definitely needs touching up, a customer skills course could possibly help the members of staff that were serving on the evening of 29th August. There were no closing times displayed anywhere, on the outside at least. When trying to place our order we were told rather abruptly the menu was very limited to nuggets, fish and chips. Gave us less food than we had asked for then we realised that we had been charged for 2 full meals rather than just a portion of nuggets which they refused to listen to, just walking away when we were trying to explain. I purchased a tomato sauce for my son which I had literally thrown at me across the counter by the young boy. The chips were awful and tasted like they were from yesterday. All in all this was NOT a good experience and I would not recommend this chippy to anybody. This really needs sorting out, not acceptable in this day and age but the problem is that people will pay these prices and often accept this service simply because of where they are and because their children are hungry. The owners get the custom anyway because people need to eat so why sort the problem and the workers do not care about complaints because they quite clearly do not like the job which I sympathise with but there are ways around that without letting personal morals slip and treat people the way they do. I do not often give negative reviews on here but out of all the places I have been, this by far the worst experience of customer service I have EVER received and witnessed.

Had a lovely lunch at Mr Chippy, the fish was cooked from fresh and chips just as they should. The kids enjoyed the jumbo sausage and chip. Would recommend.

To say we're trying to get out of a pandemic and should be hot on hygiene we were really shocked when the man serving today (alone) cleaned the tables then proceeded to pick up with his hands our sausages and fish! We asked for our money back there and then! We had waited half an hour at this point to get served and was waiting for the food. Very bad!!

Arrives at 8pm to be told its closed and everything is off now me having worked in a chip shop and him clearing out the oil trays tells me it's been of a while when I wasnt due to close till 8.30 very rude and unprofessional also the door was open with a open sign visible

First time visit, lady that served us was brilliant, working by herself, hope she's appreciated by her employer. Food was delicious.

Found this place just by chance as we decided to walk further up. Food was nice service was fine. Glad we got there when we did as it got really busy so seems a popular place prices what you would expect for area

Great chips and good cusservice. Plenty if space to sit down or just walk opposite and watch the sea or the big dipper depending on your preference.

Can’t rate the food as I refused to eat here but looking at another customers I didn’t miss out on anything , I ordered 2 cheeseburgers and chips which they wanted £14 for . Over priced for a what would cost a couple of quid to make , staff were just rude and ignorant not a single manner between them I walked out in the end

I've had fish and chips here and they are pretty good and the staff are friendly too I would rec amend it for a meal at night time and day.

Wish we had seen reviews before eating at this place staff were miserable and ignorant do there job so slowly I'm surprised any one gets served never seen anything like it and the food was pricey for what it was and I'm not a fan of sitting in to eat, and having to eat with plastic knifes and fork and out of polystyrene carton

Possibly the worst chip shop I have ever been to. When in Blackpool you expect half decent fish and chips, not when you go to Mr Chippy. The chips tasted bland. It is like that were reheating last week's chips. The food was that bad, my dog wouldn't even eat it.

Visited here on the way back to the Big Blue Hotel, Really busy and freshly cooked food, But took an age to get our order, Obviously we weren't the only ones. We only got Sausage and Chips twice and 2 extra Sausages so we could split the meal up. £2 for a sausage and my lad wouldn't eat them. Chips were nice though.

Go here often when visiting blackpool... they always make fresh fish and chips love, there can be a slight wait but that all depends on the time of year or day you go... but it's okay having a slight wait if the food is fresh and hot... They charge 20p for the sauces which isn't alot... they only do cash payments which is slightly a downside as not everyone carries around cash nowadays... They have parking on the road which is paid parking but it's hard to find a spot when it's peak season... This place serve some halal options on their menu which is a bonus but you would need to still ask and verify the options available... The slight downside is that the portion sizes are rather small for the price your paying and would be good if they gave a free sauce sachet and the rest bought... The seating is very minimal which isn't the best during peak as your stood around waiting for a seat...

The cheeseburger buns where cheap looked like they were used and cold and chips are tough to eat. Price expensive the food needs updating and food hygiene they got 5 star how did they managed that. Table looks horrible yuck tooot

Fantastic service and freshly cooked

Visited 22/04/18 Paid £5.15 for sausage, chips and Fanta. Sausage was rock hard and had probably been kept warm all day. Chips were part cooked and then reheated, very dry and bland. I don’t write a lot of reviews however as these were the worst but most expensive chips I’ve ever had the displeasure in eating, I feel others must be made aware

Did not have to wait long. Order taken, then cooked. Had Cod and chips and curry sauce. Nice cod in a light batter, nice curry sauce. Ate inside, the only downside was they did not have proper plates or knives and forks. Good value, clean and efficient and organised service did very well considering it was illuminations time.

We went to Mr Chippy and we bought 4 fish and chips the food it's good and the staff are very helpful it's worth the money

Today we were at the pleasure beach all day and we've decided to try This Chippy place . It is very pricy . The chips and fish were probably cooked and just reheated. It was horrible , gave us horrible heart burn . One of the meals we've ordered was jacket with beans . We asked for salad . The arrogant owner who made us feel he's paying us a favour by us eating there , said no salad. So we asked for jacket potatoes and beans no cheese / no butter. The jacket came half cooked and soaked with butter !! We returned it . He refunded for this meal but to be honest it made no difference as all the experience was horrible and we will never recommend this place

- Two Fish & Chips did come up to £16 with two cans and few ketchup, but it was worth it. - Food was amazing and tasty. - Portion size was huge. - Definitely recommend

Was staying in a hotel local to hear so popped in on the way back and the food was terrible. Well the little on the menu they actually have.

Éramos una familia de 6 personas y después de un día precioso (en noviembre) y un paseo por el frente, decidimos llamar a nuestro favorito "fish and chips". . . . . Pablos. Por desgracia estaba cerrado (fuera de temporada? ) caminamos un poco y sucedió el "Señor Chippy" ¡Qué error! Este es el peor lugar del mundo. Pescado y patatas fritas en una bandeja de poliestireno colgados (no sé lo que el pescado era, pero sé que no era pescado bacalao) asqueroso y desagradable. Pedimos una hermana bandeja de patatas fritas y pan y mantequilla, pero me dieron una hamburguesa. Otra hermana y su marido había pastel de carne y patatas fritas, todo era incomible. Tomamos el té y esperar la tradición blackpool de tetera, pero nos dieron vasos de poliestireno de agua caliente y una bolsa de té.

When visiting Blackpool there is nothing more traditional than eating traditional fish and chips whilst walking down the Prom and Mr Chippy will not disappoint.

Beautiful food and lovely inside. Good price and very freindly staff 10/10. If you find yourself in blackpool its worth a short walk away from the sea front you wont be disappointed.

Visitamos después del día en Pleasure Beach y pedí lo anunciaban como un flan de carne. Cuando comemos contenía el riñón. Odio el riñón. Personal pregunta por qué estados unidos "budín de carne" en el menú y me dijeron "Gestión de necesidades para actualizar". No reembolso o cambio de orden, fuimos en la papelera y he perdido dinero. No me ofrecieron ninguna disculpa. Prefiero pagar los precios de Pleasure beach que te timen por estos timadores de nuevo.

Pasó por aquí con mi novio. El hombre detrás del mostrador se veía muy miserable y parecía como si él no sabía lo que estaba haciendo. Él era bastante desagradable! Tuve que pagar 10p de ketchup. 2 perros calientes en rollos, pero me dieron en vez de la salchicha en rollos. También pedimos un pastel con patatas fritas y salsa de pot en el lado pero cuando la orden el hombre detrás del mostrador había derramado salsa todo las patatas fritas y la tarta sin preguntar si en realidad quería la salsa tanto o no. Las patatas fritas eran horribles. . Muy bastante pesado y parecía que la habían preparado un par de veces, así que posiblemente yesterdays patatas!? Evitar aquí!

We ordered fish and chips and a chicken burger. The fish was very soft so it was hard to eat it maybe needed just a couple mins more but the service was very fast. The fish was a bit bland and I've tasted better fish. The chips were okay but were very fresh. You need to pay for the sauces which I disliked. We asked for just lettuce and mayo in the chicken burger but we only got lettuce, I get that they were busy but you need to be able to get your orders right. I don't think I would go back if I went Blackpool again, but I do like that there was a halal place nearby. The prices were average and there is plenty of seats both inside and outside.

Unless your desperate I'd walk further up the front for a decent meal. Staff seemed a bit off. The place wasn't that clean don't get me wrong it wasn't filthy but it wasn't clean either. Didn't feel great after eating here and the prices are not great for what you get. Save your money and the sick feeling in your stomach and go else where. Far better places in Blackpool

Best Fish n chips in Blackpool and it's Halal.

Out of the pleasure beach straight into Mr Chippy. Waited About 10 mins for food.It came, very dry chips my sausage was inedable had burnt ends !! All the family came away and said to avoid at all costs. Sort ya chips out !!

We ate here with three grandchildren. Plenty of food and great value for money. Food cooked fresh. We couldn't finish all our food as the portions are so big.

its a great chip shop very helpful we always use it but my son is in a wheelchair and the access is poor carnt get in or out great food tbf

Called one saturday evening as was after a snack in the early evening and no where else was open. Had the chicken and chips which were tasty enough though nothing special. Place was clean, price was reasonable and the service was good. Does what it says on the tin really.

Looked inviting from outside and clean.On entering it was busy but kind of a specked that being a busy Bank Holiday - however there wasn't a q system in place with people coming in each door.Took a while to get served which is ok but then the time taken for the order to be prepared was well off the scale. The cook was moaning like mad about how busy it was and that what do people expect.Well people expect a quick and friendly service with fish and chips. It's like it was the customers fault it was busy.There are only a couple of tables - not a problem though as we sat on the seafront opposite.Food was ok. Not great but it got the job done eventually.

Lovely fresh cod, tasty chips, clean and hygienic inside. Very reasonable prices. Very close to Pleasure Beach so ate on way back to car, would definitely recommend! Best fish and chips we have had in ages.

Asked if I should get a taxi to Blackpool north station and was told to walk as it was only a 15 minute walk due to us missing a train because of your long serving time. However, I was angrily surprised when that 15 minuets walk turned into 2 hours, the chips weren't even that good...

During our April visit to Blackpool opted for food from here. There are a small number of seats and the establishment was very clean. However the food was average, children did not like their chicken nuggets and I must agree we've had better.

The chicken nuggets ok. The chips were good and the portions were a decent size for the price. We did have a problem when the cashier managed to break the till during the transaction but got it fixed with some help in the end.The seating area was dirty and I probably wouldn't have eaten my food there (I took it out with me). Probably wouldn't go back but I'm only visiting Blackpool.

Huge portions and great service! It's hard to find anywhere in Blackpool to feed 2 adults and 4 boys for £20 something but this chippy filled us up twice on our holiday and the food is lovely! We will be back ;)

2 x fish and chips one sausage and chips and one battered sausage chips. Unfortunately one of the fish and chips was not good due tonthe fish looking undercooked and was a scabby piece of fish. The chips are really nice. But £1.00 for a can of pop is crazy prices. The sausage was really nice. Many chippys in Blackpool probably wont return to this one but only because there is better chippys for better value. But give it a go if you hungry and in the area.

Next to the pleasure beach, food and prices are reasonable! Would recommend others try this place out.

Tried my first ever fish & chips by the sea here and it were amazing. Loved the high quality of the food served here. Staff were very friendly would definitely go eat here again.

This was an experience I will never forget, we were visiting Blackpool for the lights and this was the first Chip shop we came to before getting on a tram and although it doesn't look fabulous the food definitely was. After taking many minutes to decide what we were going to have we placed the order, this along was fun as the guy behind the counter was full of smiles and even cracked a few jokes. There was a small queue of people waiting and so we thought we could be waiting around 15-20mins but NO, the food was ready before we even had chance to sit down at our table, not many places have that sort of speed. If your after a quick food but still like quality then this is the place to be.

This is at the end of the strip but the hygiene rating is 5 and the prices are good. Portion size is reasonable without being excessive and prices are good for the area.

Just nipped in for some food. Young lad behind the counter knows how to greet his customers, service with a smile, always nice being referred to as sir. The restaurant was so clean and the food was nice and fresh!!

Good service, nice food and a decent price. A surprise really for this isn't your typical promenade chippy. Nice chips which looked like they were from fresh potatoes (not frozen), tasty peas and gravy. The fish was better than average. Will return.

We are regularly visit chippy and Shane who served us was polite and great customer service. The manager is arrogant and unwelcoming towards customers.

My family and I are regular visitors to the chippy and find the food as excellent and the guy Shane who served us is outstanding with his customer service very polite. Unfortunately the manager is not his customer service is appalling and the way he speaks to staff in front of customers is wrong especially the way he spoke to the young boy that was working there it was a disgrace.
