Mr Beano Cafe in Canterbury

Cafe offering reasonable priced food. Friendly staff. Appears to be popular with local Herne Bay residents. We visit Herme Bay on a regular basis and usually pop in here for brunch / lunch.

Love this cafe. So friendly and the food is always lovely. Well recommended to any member of the public. Best cafe in Herne bay I'm my book. Had a lovely birthday suprise by the team. Thankyou and see you again very soon. Gary and angela

Such pleasant and genuine service here today. Generous portions with fresh salad too. Literally half the price of a pub lunch.

All the staff polite and very busy. Coffee the best I have had for many (and I'm serious) years and the bacon sarnie had half a pig in it and just as I wanted it. Chips unexpected but hey who's complaining? You can not go wrong here. Only 4 stars as my wife complained that her prawn sandwich was a bit short on prawns. But I would go back in flash

A very friendly cafe . They were very accomdating in allowing are well behaved dog to come in . The meals are generous and the staff veryfriendly

On holiday & where we stayed recommended here, we went for breakfast and it was excellent. Good value, quick service, friendly staff. The breakfast was delicious, good size portion, hot when served and yummy coffee. Highly recommended.

Needed a cuppa and seeing as their toasted tea cake was 50% the cost of the last café we tried (it was closed!). Extremely welcoming and friendly staff. Fast service. Prices are very reasonable. Nice and clean.

Whilst mooching around Herne Bay we popped in for a quick snack.All food served was very well presented, served efficiently and we couldn't fault the service.Cafe was busy and everyone seemed to be enjoying what the cafe had to offer.A complimentary drink was also a bonus.

Walked in, wasn't acknowledged. Sat for a few minutes and more people walked, they were served first. We got up and left and went to another cafe just down the road where the service was so much better. Won't visit here again, such rudeness.

After a nice sea front walk on a chilly but sunny day walked up to shops, as it was lunch time looked around for somewhere to eat, Beano cafe menu had a good choice. It was very clean a member of staff came as soon as we were seated, we ordered and was very pleased with our choice, and very reasonably priced so very satisfied.

Perhaps it's my age, but I am a firm supporter of the great British Cafe! As far as I am concerned, you can keep haute cuisine; give me a bacon sandwich, or a well cooked and presented Full English breakfast any time!If you ever go to Herne Bay, make sure you visit Mr Beano. You certainly won't be disappointed.A busy and bustling place, the staff are fast, efficient and friendly. The menu has a surprisingly wide selection of dishes that will suit all tastes, and making a choice was tricky. In the end I settled for a bacon and egg sandwich, while my wife had eggs on toast.The food arrived very quickly and piping hot, and we washed it down with coffees that were better than some I have had at the better known coffee shop chains.Next time we visit Herne Bay, we will be making a beeline for Beano!

A good cafe doing a choice of breakfasts,main meals and snacks.Food was delicious, lovely and hot and served with a smile.Breakfast of eggs,bacon,beans and sausage was very good and not at all greasy.Quick service and a welcoming atmosphere.Ace!

I’m a regular at the beano cafe as a resident of the town. I have eaten at all the cafes in the town but this cafe easily beats all the others. From roast dinner to big breakfasts the cafe has it all.

Good choice of breakfasts,snacks,grills,burgers etc. Absolutely hit the spot with the megabreakfast,eggs,bacon,beans,sausages & chips,freshly cooked and served with a smile.Smashing cuppa too.Friendly welcome and noticed the owner had a great rapport with his customers.

We came here for a quick bite and were treated to excellent service from the staff. We thoroughly enjoyed our sausage and egg sandwiches! Massive menu, very reasonably priced. Thanks Beano!

Had breakfast but wouldn't let us swap drinks don't know why so charged for drink and never got the one with breakfast? I'll keep going to hot cafe instead more accommodating and go that extra little bit.

Este fue uno de los muy pocos cafés abiertos en festivo el lunes. Precioso, pero el Roly Poly natillas sabor rancio. Vaso grande de zumo de manzana por £1. Mi amigo disfrutó su bocadillo de pollo. Los clientes mantienen que deja la puerta abierta que refrigerados a todo el mundo que el hueso. Creo que valdría la pena volver a probar uno de sus muchos desayunos.

When in here to see if it was better than Ramsgate's Mr. Beano. I am glad to say is is 1000 times better. The service was great. The cafe was clean and tidy. The meal was great and cheap. Not much more to say. I recommend it 100%.

A nice family run local café that serves all the usual food with a friendly atmosphere. Worth a visit if you are in town and fancy a coffee and cake or even a full meal.

Su cuchara promedio de grasa, no horrible, pero he estado en mejores cafés de Beano. Es un poco como estar en la sala de estar, pero no conozco. Está bien para un rápido Brew o desayunar pero no quieres parar aquí por mucho tiempo ... prefiero salir en algún otro lugar de Herne Bay para una experiencia más agradable.

Great food, great staff. What more do you need? How about a great name? Well they have that to, definitely recommend this place! Great place to eat from the wide range on the menu.

Nothing better than a Full English, and with a Candian friend coming to visit, what easier excuse could I find, to go out for breakfast.Well if this experience didn't put him off British cuisine, I don't know what would.Table that ordered long after us, received their food before - because they were regulars, and the obese old hag was clearly flirting with the server. There were scruffy old men, whom I thought were alcoholics/homeless, walking in and out with cigarettes in their mouths, apparently friends with the "waiter"Half my food arrived burnt AND cold. The other half didn't arrive until i had finished my coffee and what i could actualy stomache eating. Despite asking 4 times if it was coming. I would have left without paying if I could.Expressed my upset to the server in a calm polite manner, he just shrugged and walked off.I've been to alot of Beano Cafes around Kent, I Love them! But this will be one I will never return to.

We (myself and 2 others) decided to go the Mr Beanos as we've visited the others in the area and had a good experience and it was close to where we were parked, I hate to say this one is the worst of the other beanos we've visited. The price was expensive for what we were served. The menu was poor and had little choice and the service was terrible. The guy taking orders looked bored and grunted at us when he asked what we wanted, we made our order and sat waiting for our food, when it arrived the bacon was mostly burned and the portion sizes were very small. We asked 3 times for our toast as they forget to give it to me, it finally turned up once I had finished my breakfast. The tea which came with the breakfast wasn't very nice but maybe that is my taste. I wasn't impressed and will not be returning. Very much a shame as all the other beanos cafes are so good.

Lovely clean cafe and very friendly starff .prices are very good for what you get food is always nice and hot when it comes would definitely recommend if your in Herne bay

I was a frequent customer when I lived in Herne Bay. The service is great, and the owner is a wonderful man, as well as his son.

Not much I can add to this review; I keep going back there for a cheap lunch or breakfast having been disappointed with others in Herne Bay

Cheap food, good portion sizes. The staff were all very friendly and our food arrived quickly.If you want a cheap meal without the frills, this is a good place to eat.

This cafe is really efficient tasty food and very friendly....the tables floor and toilets are spotless! I have been here a number of times and am never disappointed! I am really fussy and would recommend this to any one looking for a decent fryup

In general, I like Mr Beano cafes. The food is consistently good, the tea is excellent, and the prices, for what you get, very reasonable. The problem is that they are often crowded, especially at certain times of the day, with young mothers with baby buggies, usually having loud conversations with each other, talking to their boyfriends on their mobile phones, or castigating their offspring, often with four-letter expletives. If you can avoid these, and you can, this Mr Beano makes a very pleasant venue for an informal lunch. I recommend the pies, served with roast potatoes and vegetables. You don't get many potatoes, unfortunately, but the piles of peas, cabbage and carrots make up for that. Lovely!

If you are looking for good ,honest.well cooked food at really sensible prices this is the place to go.If you are looking for ambiance it isn't.Service is great,location central- 100 yds from the sea.Baked potato's superb

Very pleasantly surprised by the standard of food. We both had a bacon sandwich and cup tea, but the pleace was full of individuals and couples having full meals and specials of the day. Very clean and simple good food.

Nice service but sausages, bacon, beans, coffee all cheap ingredients! Toast was nice though (thick slices) but better value elsewhere in town

Undoubtedly the best fry up in town I can highly recommend the mega breakfast great value and always cooked to perfection.
