Its ok but price its a bit too expensive and mostly focused on oriental food that would cuisine.

Great food, decent service and atmosphere was a bit dead ngl although I did go at opening time. Best part was the garlic grilled chicken you could get cooked for you at the meat station!

It was very good all the people were very nice and friendly

went on a Monday night around 5.30 and it was very quiet. Warm welcome at reception and drinks ordered were ready immediately and taken to our table. Although assurances were given that there would be a number of vegan options available this was reduced to a very small number as many vegetables were cooked in animal fats. However the non-vegan range was ample and every selection was delicious. There were options to have freshly cooked meals and the serving dishes were always full being topped up regularly . The service clearing used plates from our table was prompt and polite. The whole experience was amazing, excellent value and highly recommended

I went here tonight with my wheelchair bound brother, and from the moment we entered, the staff couldn't do enough to help us. Doors were opened, and we were then seated right next to the buffet. A quick toilet stop was needed for my brother, and the staff member pointed out where the lift to the toilets was, and then insisted in taking us up to show the way rather than leaving us to it. Absolutely no issues with wheelchair access. The food itself, well it's not Michelin Star quality obviously. It's £23 for all you can eat. There was a mix of mostly really good dishes, with the odd minuses thrown in (beef joint was very dry due to sitting under the heat lamp for too long, some of the chicken wings were burnt to non-edible,) but the VAST majority of the food was very nice. I have to add a special thank you to the guy cooking the steaks. He was so cheerful and obviously enjoyed his station, and also new how to cook a rare steak. Top marks. The guy on the noodles tho, hah he definitely doesn't enjoy his job, The noodles were ace tho. A smile would have made them even better. Really enjoyed our visit tonight. Thank you to all for making it a hassle free one.

What is there not to like. From starters to mains and desserts. There's something for everyone. You couldn't possibly get to Tey everything in one visit as there is so much to choose from. It's our second visit but we will be back to the the foods we were to full to eat. Great service. Great Food . Great Atmosphere. Can't wait to come back soon. Ian and Andrew

This was nice place to eat, food was lovely, but the staff interaction ruined it for us. Possibly a language barrier, as soon as we were seated we were told ‘you pay now’ in a very abrupt tone. Another member of our party tried to ask how much and got told ‘no, I only talk to her, name on booking’ No split bills so I had to pay the whole amount on my card - £200 which I wouldnt have had, luckily people transferred me before I paid. Just seemed very rude. Food was nice

We went for boxing day in the evening . The good was ok alot of selection . The floors are really sticky and slippery . Much to our disgust there was no running water in the toilet facilities or any hand soap available. So loads of people not washing their hands touching tongs for the food and germs being spread. I personally feel that full price for 13 year old is a lot .

We booked on Christmas Day for 6 people the price seemed very reasonable for everything you get, we were seated fast staff were very polite and considerate. The food was spectacular and extremely tasty and warm they had vast selection of food varying from Carvery, Indian, Chinese, Mexican, Italian, Japanese, Chargrill, Noodle Bar, Salad Bar and a wide selection of deserts which were fantastic our children’s favourite was the chocolate fountain. The atmosphere was brilliant while the restaurant was packed, staff were extremely hard working and nice so I left a 15pound tip we can’t wait to go back and strongly recommend

The Christmas Day dinner at mr Basrai was absolutely fantastic! The festive atmosphere, complete with beautiful decorations and cheerful music, set the perfect holiday mood. The food was exceptional, offering a wide variety of dishes to satisfy every taste , from traditional Christmas favorites like roast turkey and ham to an impressive selection of international cuisines. I am writing this on boxing day night after watching my wife vomit at home for five hours on Christmas day at home & 14 hours in A& E which tells you how terrible this place is. To start this Christmas nightmare we booked in months ago for our family dinner of four with a 50% cash deposit and got a written receipt for Christmas day but on arrival we where advised we had only paid a £10 deposit each and shown a machine receipt for £40 cash we had never receive, not the £80 cash receipt we paid. The new receipt was obviously put in the till after the fact later and wrong but because I didnt have the written receipt with me & we where caught out. It gets better on checking the new food & drink receipt at the table we where charged for FIVE drinks not the four we ordered, after a very long argument with the waiter we got the extra drink we never received refunded but told it will take 7-10 days for the refund. If it was not Christmas day and I was not with my wife and family I would have demanded a full refund there and then but obviously if I did that theres not Christmas Dinner on Christmas day for my family, what a mistake that was, we should have left there and then. The nightmare continued with my wife's parma violet gin coming wrong and being given something disgusting drink she couldn’t drink, at this point we had gave up complaining because they simply didn't care or listen. I personally didn't eat one thing because of the bad taste in my mouth from the experience and couldn't wait to leave. On leaving my wife went to order a taxi onside with my kids whilst I spoke to the owner. To my surprise all I got was an aggressive agourgant man who sproated nothing butruddish about how he had a million pound turn over binssnes and didnt need my money but he said he had noticed I hadn't eaten a thing and offerd a one person refund that I didn't receive and he clearly just wanted rid of me and in fairness I just wanted to leave completely frustrated and annoyed with the whole situation. On leaving to get the taxi home I found my wife vomiting on the street outside which I can contim now was food positioing after spending 14 hours in A&E in escalations on drips of fluid and anti sickness, with first paracetamol for the pain & then give morphine it got that bad! My best advice would be to avoid this place and if you do go check your receipt and definitely do not book months in advance with cash. At this moment none of that helps with our families Christmas & boxing day ruined after watching my wife vomiting time and time again in A&E on Christmas day night and all boxing day. We know 100% it was Mr Basrai's food because my wife did not eat a thing Christmas day saving herself for this visit until 5pm, she's not a big eater. A bit of freindly advice Mr Basrai's yours customers should always come first and when someone doesn't eat a thing in protest on Christmas day which you noticed theres clearly an issue and playing the big man with bravado not caring about your customers is not the answer. I and all my family and associates will never step foot in your establishment ever again but I know who will the food stardards agency! This is the most unprofessional, rude corrupt restaurant that serves food that puts your loved ones in hospital on Christmas & boxing day. Legal action and a report to food stardards agency and media reports will follow and I completely stand by this statement as a statement of truth.

I was pleasantly surprised. This is the first time I have been here in the 18 months I have lived in Blackpool. There was a wide choice of food so there was something for everyone's taste. Both pre cooked and fresh prepared food. The place was very clean and the staff very professional, pleasant and efficient. You did not feel hurried and you could eat as much as you wanted. I found small plates so a tryout of a lot of different foods. The food was also hot. There was a lot of deserts to choose from also. I would go again

I have been many of times to this restaurant and enjoyed it, I was a little disappointed on this visit as they did not have the variety of foods available.

The members of my pool team have been coming back to Mr Basrai's three times a year while we're in town for a tournament, it's become our favourite tradition! We'll be back every year we can, it's a highlight of our weekend. Food is very good, selection impressive and atmosphere is very good. Please sponsor us!

First time here yesterday, reviews are mixed but from my experience it was fantastic, the waiting staff were quick to take away dirty plates and bring you fresh drinks, the cooks were talkative and knew how to cook what you wanted and how you wanted it, the food was varied from around the world, can't wait to go back

The service and majority of the food was beautiful however the chicken korma chicken was pink, not realising until after my daughter had eaten this n then she ended up with a really bad stomach

Cold soup. Freshly cooked steak was tuff as old boots could not even cut it with my knife, says it was sirloin I don't think so probs cheap frying steak. NO PRAWNS on the salad bar. Food that was on the hot plates was cold,stale,rubbery not nice at all. Everything had dried up. The man cooking the stir frys which I did get some prawns was ignorant, didn't smile, I was going to ask him what charm school he went too. We will not be returning to this restaurant. Save your money and go else where. £44 is alot for 2 people when it's a load of rubbish.

Getting in and seated was chaos. We had a reservation, and there were walk-ins seated before us, everyone was in the same que. When we were finally seated, we went to look at the food on offer, my 4 year old nephew was excited to see noodles and eagerly put some on his plate he waited for them to be cooked for him but we were unsure what to do, the member of staff at the station didn't interact or attempt to explain or take them to stir fry for him, another customer came up to the station and was served instantly. There was a good selection of food on offer, but some were empty and needing filling because it was extremely busy

Food is brilliant definitely recommend to go in dinner time as it is a little bit more money but it’s worth it, you can order unlimited amounts of sirloin steak (although the fat cap is very tough) you do get a steak knife, the lamb chops are probably the best parts, choice of seasoned and unseasoned chicken fillets. Huge selection of all foods as they advertise seafood, sweet and sour chicken beef ect. sushi is a bit on the down side as they do use imitation seafood and not huge selection but the desert does make up for it with a chocolate fountain that you can use which a lot of places don’t have these, sauces and ice cream but the service is a bit slow to take the plates away and you do pay when you first arrive if you are arriving with groups 5+ in peak times you may wait 5-20 minutes which is a bit unfortunate but it is a very busy buffet

Very busy when we went. The table was booked beforehand, which is a good idea tho they do take walk-ins. Initially, staff greeted us after queuing outside for ten minutes, we paid for our food and then got shown to our seats.there was no further contact with any staff member. The food was varied with Indian,Chinese, Italian, chips, steak, salad, and mixed sea food and a poor selection of sushi. Fizzy pop came in the price of the meal with unlimited refills. a good selection of Iceland quality deserts and ice cream. Apple crumble was thick and stodgy with no bowls to use for the custard. The desert spoons were none existent and only had dirty tea spoons to use. The main courses were OK, but the sauces tasted like they were out of a jar. Some of the chicken products were fried to within an inch of its life. The spag-bol tasted more like an Indian dish and was not enjoyable. Toilets were small for the size of the place, and only 1 cubicle was in use. All in, tho it's worth a visit but I wouldn't personally go back as I feel I have to eat as much as I can to cover the cost and leave feeling bloated

The indo chines was absolutely a hit ! The only problem is the pork section should be put in one place , like chicken and pork sausage was in one are so mix contamination, people can use same spoon 😪 . We avoided the areas had pork but then it was all mix

We had booked knowing it would be busy as it was a Saturday and when the illuminations were on. We expected it to be busy and it was. We told the waiter we had booked upon entering.. we were told to wait but it was not clear why we were waiting. We were one of the first people in there as it had only just opened. We were then ushered over to a lady who wanted us to pay before eating (fair enough .. I imagine they get people trying it on and not paying) however we were immediately asked what we wanted to drink not knowing what was available and not being told what what we could have. We had to ask. We then got told about the unlimited refill drinks which we thought great and ordered these not realising that they were only fizzy drinks. We had a lot of trouble explaining this to a waiter as we had a member of our family who doesn't like fizzy drinks. We eventually spoke to someone who was able to help and she kindly said we could swap to cordial. The food was okay ... just what I would expect from a very busy buffet. We were all able to find something to eat. In conclusion it was far too busy with the entrance area completly blocked as we were leaving with people queuing to get in. This isn't completly the restaurants fault as like I said it was the illuminations but I do think it could have been handled better. I think the staff could be more helpful. The plus sides were the refillable drinks (for those who like fizzy drinks) and quick food with a variety to choose from. I probably wouldn't return to this particular restaurant however I have been to others from the same chain and had a much better experience.

We decided to come here on a whim as the original place we wanted was fully booked, glad we did. Although a very busy restaurant, staff were totally on the ball.. from getting us sat down, drinks to refilling food to taking plates away, so quickly. Food was very lovely too. Everyone is crowded in like cattle and tables are so close together. We did visit on a weekend though so it’s bound to be busier. Food choice is good, lots and lots of options and was hot too. A lot of stations were empty and running out but the ones that were full, were tasty. Lots of curry choices. Can cut your own meat for the carvery which I liked and the drinks are also free refills which I think is rare at buffets. Lots of choice for puddings aswell altho pudding area for messy and food everywhere! Overall a good experience and would return.

I have been 2 this place once a week if not twice a week for the past 6 month with my kids. An on my arrival 2day was asked for I.D 2 prove the ages of my children at 4.5and9 years old of a man named many on the reception this will be are last trip here.

You can't split the bill between your group and we were asked to pay half way through eating , usally at all you can eats you pay before being seated or after you have eaten

Too busy, rushed and the food wasn't brilliant, too much choice can lower the quality. The worst thing was waiting for the plates to be refilled. Not enough staff.

We visit here very frequently as a pick me up after work. The food is always fantastic, the staff are so lovely and always go above and beyond. Such a little gem in Blackpool and the free parking above whilst you dine is a fantastic incentive. Ps. The beef in black bean sauce is to die for!

Good variety of food Good service Indian food was better before, chicken in masala doesn't look fresh. However, still I recomend it. I invited family from US and they were impressed by the food and service.

There was a lot of Chinese, if there was more of different stuff it would be a 5. Fir the American it was chicken nuggets and onion rings.

Food is not allright, not wow but allright. Had better bufets and cheper that this. And what was socking for us was that made us pay for our 11 months baby to get in. I told them that is is not eating and the gut at the bar sayd very rude that if we don't pay for her she can't eat food from our plates. We was 4 people,tired and hungry so we got in anyway

me and my wife booked a table for 6 o'clock having come down from bradford for the comedy club. When we arrived they was a huge cue but the door said booking have priority so we walked straight in. Only to speak to a couple that had been waiting over and hour an a half to be seated having booked there table for half 4. Only to be told at the same time as us they was no free spaces and our booking is cancelled the person who told us this was rude and was trying to push us out of the door like actually pushing. This place needs a serious upgrade of staff and maybe not take walks in if it mean people who booked 4 days in advance can't get in certainly won't be back if I could give it no stars at all I would

Nice place to eat with the family. Good choice of different foods. Food was OK about what you expect from an all you can eat buffet. And free parking aswell which sweetened the deal. But the toilets do need attention as only 1 cubicle open in the men's and the toilet seat was fitted very poorly

Quick service. Seated at our table promptly. Food was absolutely incredible. Two things I would say is we weren't shown where the food was which I know is obvious but the majority of buffets will give a brief description of where different foods are located. Second thing is the dessert section was quite empty when we got to it and the apple crumble was extremely hard and dry due to it sitting there for a while.

First time I have been to a Mr Basrai’s buffet in a few years and i am saddened by how downhill it was went. Attended the Blackpool one on 10th September with my friend and the only relatively good thing was my friends sirloin steak. Food was lukewarm/cold. Desserts were sickening and not much variation. I had 2 small plates of savoury food and never finished either due to the standard of it. Will not be back.

Not good, not worth money, echoed by very few people in place on a Tuesday evening, maybe 90% vacant.

*SEVERE FOOD POISENING* Wasnt expecting anything spectacular as we have been before and reaction was mixed last time. Firstly they charged me £5 for a one year old to attend which I found a little extreme. However this is no big issue. Initially the food seems good and pretty much everything was to our liking. Towards the end of the meal my partner noticed the chicken was slightly pink on the inside, which I then pointed out to the staff to ensure no one else would eat that particular batch. My concern was met with dismissal, barely a word, certainly not a sorry. Any way I digress we ended the meal shortly after and headed home. Upon getting home my wife complained of stomach pains which we both put down to just pregnancy not agreeing with the greasy food. Long story short, from the next morning we have both had severe food poisoning, liquid coming out of both ends. My partner visited the GP to receive advice on what to do while pregnant if there is blood in her stool due to this, the GP confirmed this is a sign of severe food poisoning. Look up possible complications with this, they aren't nice. I'm currently writing this review from my toilet 35 hours later, unable to leave and in substantial pain and discomfort. Cheers Mr Basrais. Just very lucky my one year old daughter didn't eat the chicken. Will not be returning again.

Waste of money Our second visit here and we were appalled that standards were much less than when we came last year. All main dishes were dry, very poor quality, not worth the money we spent. Deserts were tasty though. Overall I won’t be rushing to come back, waste of money.

Absolutely worst customer service ever me and my partner ate hear and she chip a tooth on the first bite of her food we ask for a refund for only for her as i ate and she couldn't eat anything because of the pain. The managers attitude stank he had a go saying we was making it up and shouted at us so we left Will never ever go back AVOID!!!!

Food was not the best would not visit again

It was my first time visiting the buffet restaurant with the wife, it was very busy and the food was very fresh. You also can park upstairs in the car park for free for two hours.

Second time here but this time round the food throughout was completely bland! I’m surprised because last time we came here (about a year ago go) the food quality exceeded our expectations hence why it became a ‘must visit’ when in Blackpool. Every cuisine I tried was completely tasteless including dessert/pudding. The grill counter was also bland. I think it’s safe to say I won’t be visiting here anymore.

Look, it is what it is. As world buffets go, it's pretty decent, fairly good value for the food, and the beer is where they make their profit. Staff are all friendly and helpful, a lot of them are very young and probably not getting paid much but they're professional. Range of dishes is decent but there's a lot of chicken. Most of what I ate was nice and tasted fresh, the Chinese chilli chicken was a little bit dry, and the desserts were mid. But all in all it met my expectations. Don't be put off by the plyboard on the windows. It seems they have been the victim of a pathetic racist attack.

We love it here such a wide variety of foods, something for everyone! This is our favourite place for family and friend gatherings and great for the kids too. Food has always been great

We pre booked, but had to wait for 4 walk in groups of 4 to be seated first. We were sat in a tiny 2 person booth by the ice cream counter, were everyone walks past, so no privacy. Sadly there was very little salad selection, and no dipping bowls for sauces. However the food in general was good, and a wide variety, wish they had raita sauce as well as the mango. There was not a lot of desserts.
