Moto Birch Eastbound in Rochdale

Trying to find the toilet in narnia..not helpful when your literally feel.like your going to pee yourself stuck on the motorway for hours. :/

There was a male attendant cleaning the ladies today around 8 pm and I think he was doing an excellent job! All the taps were absolutely spotless and shiny, he was cleaning the floor properly (side to side) and singing a happy tune whilst doing all this! In the end he sprayed every cubicle with a nice room spray so everything smelled amazing! The cubicle I used was also really clean and had plenty of tp. I was overall very impressed and think this guy needs a praise! Well done for hiring and training such responsible people.

Only has Tesla chargers which don't seem to be available for other cars. They don't show up in the app at all. Had to drive to the next services for power.

Tight and little space for a truck. Clean and lots of restaurants. There are three showers. There are washing machines - currently unavailable because they are broken. SNAP parking fee. Payment at WHSmith.

Worst services in the country. Insane prices, crumbling dirty structure, a bookies (classy!), and to get to some services involves crossing the road and wondering around the back of the building in the rain... Also CLOSED entirely, except loos, at just 1030p.m. on a Thursday!

Very rare you don't find a spot to park (HGV) , services tidy and showers 'Spot-On' !! Good selection of food snacks .

From the moment I walked in, she was incredibly warm and welcoming, instantly making me feel at ease. I had an issue that needed attention, and Paula went above and beyond to assist me, handling everything with professionalism, patience, and genuine care. It’s rare to come across such outstanding customer service these days, but Paula truly exceeded my expectations. Her friendly and helpful attitude made all the difference, and I left feeling completely satisfied. A big thank you to her and the team for such a positive experience – I will definitely be returning!

Visited birchwood services Eastbound with a group of friends on valentine night I would like to praise 2 ladies which work at Marks & Spencer Bev & Ila After a long journey from down south me and friends stopped for a snack and were greeted by 2 lovely members of staff who had a great knowledge on the products in store and provided us with a great customer experience. It was late in the evening around 21:40 and although there was several of us wanting assistance they handed the situation with professionalism and care. Thank you Bev & Ila Toilets and facilities very clean and tidy

I recently stopped here for a rest and was delighted with the service I received from the staff especially in m&s , it was so nice to be treated like so pleasantly. 10/10 for the young lady I spoke to named kelsey, I will be visiting again thankyou.

Popped by here on my way to London grabbed a KFC and was fab, the fries are so nice with the new seasoning. Andrew served me he went above and beyond shown me the menu and promoted different foods to me. Also helped me find the loos which was a great help! They kinda out the way a little. Andrew you're a keeper!

Costa staff excellent, very friendly and helpful

I come regularly while passing on my drives, Nicola is fantastic. She makes my coffee top notch and a friendly chat. I love to come when she is on shift. She puts a smile on my face and cheers me up.

Excellent and happy to visit every time we pass by. Lauren very efficient and friendly.

I ordered a latte and a sandwich from Costa and the service was exceptional the two girls on the tills were really nice and welcoming. I will definitely be coming again. One of them was called Lauren and she even brought my sandwich to my table

Terrible signage meant we missed the restaurants/toilets and guided back out to the motorway via the fuel station. Dim signs and rubbed off road markings.

I was in this service area on 11/25/2024, as I didn't speak the language, I don't know if there is a charge for parking heavy vehicles, I stayed in this area for 12 hours. If I need to pay, if someone can direct me how can I make the payment remotely? I will be grateful.

Nope. car park was like an ice rink. Not gritted crash in front of me so pulled a u turn I left as way to dangerous.will be reported to HSE

It is paid at a Snap terminal located in the Moto Service store. You can see it in the photos. You pay and for £3 you can get a £10 voucher at the checkout with the Snap terminal note.

As all motorway services seem to be... expensive for food, drinks, fuel, everything. Meals aren't up to much either. Only ever stop here to use the toilet.

Went to greggs for a quick bite. Good service

Arrived around 3;00 pm and wanted a Burger King meal paying by HGV voucher. Stood at the counter for a good 7-8 minutes and no one acknowledged my presence. One girl serving and one cooking. I decided to wait until the remaining three orders were filled. A guy turned up behind the counter and again showed no interest. Got straight on to his mobile. Waited another 2-3 minutes and still no interest. I finally said to them sorry but your service is terrible and too slow and I’ll have a KFC which I did and very good it was too! Never again.

I was pulling in to use the toilets, there only 5 enclosed toilets in the men’s and one was missing a door.

Everything good. But the BP refuelling station where I fueled my car had faulty nozzel, and spilled some diesel. As it didn't stop dispensing even after fuel was upto the nozzel.

Good services,large petrol station, food court,toilets/showers, plenty of seating inside and outside.

Westbound is nicer out of the two so marked down for that. Could do with a little makeover

Appalling service at Burger King one lad serving at front alone while others standing around in the back giggling, then got half a bag of fries and milk for the tea was warmer than the tea. This site really lets Moto services down, gaffer tape on the floor holding tiles together and needs a good deep clean throughout.

The closest service station to where I live - not much to say other than the distance between the front entrance and the public toilets feels longer and longer everytime I visit. It’s like if the Weatherspoons toilet adventure was set in a bungalow.

It's a beautiful place Greggs is always full of people tho but apart from that it was very splendid and the toilet staff were very kind and helpful

Avoid, this place isn't even worth one star. We pulled in this week for a breakfast stop. The overwhelming disgusting stench of sewage was so great that we gave up on breakfast, swapped drivers and left. How anyone could eat or even consider the purchase of food that had been cooked here is beyond me. Another driver since told us that the awful smell has been there for a long time so it seems that it's an ongoing issue.

Loved that there was a stop with a Greg's for the kiddies but don't understand how they can be cooking, warming sandwiches etc up but wouldn't warm a bean and sausage pastry up? .. it had to be eaten cold which on what was a cold day anyway just wasn't right.

Average toilets otherwise drive on.

Just a motorway services, usual costa etc available here, toilets are a bit on the rough side.

New showers installed on the Westbound side, so that's a positive outlook! Look at my other reviews to see where I've been!

Showing it’s age now. Steps on entry with a lift only large enough for two people, so no chance of being used by a coach load of pensioners, which explains why it’s so quiet. So if you don’t mind the dated decor it may be worth a visit because it’s quick service. Other than that, not so good. Costa serves the usual fine coffee and snacks, and although some seated is dated other seating is newer.

Visited after early flight into Manchester. Safe parking and clean site.

Without doubt one of the worst smelling truck stops around. Smells more like a toilet than anything else.

We called into costa east bound at your services today at around 6.15pm , we were served by Olivia, she was very busy and working on her own, but greeted every customer with a smile , she was very pleasant and the coffee tasted great , great customer service when working under pressure, well done Olivia

Great service station extra with a selection of eating opportunities. Airy, spacious and comfortable seating. For a service station, this was a very enjoyable experience.

There are greggs and kfc, possibly something else to eat, toilets, at least men's, are fairly fresh, however no soap in either toilets, when I approached mbr of staff they simply said there is no soap and that's it. Surely could do with some soap at the services lol.

Normal service, the toilet is fine, there is no dirt, there is no fungus, everything is fine
