Punjab Take Away in Rochdale

I don’t know owner would read this. They really need to improve the quality of curry. I believe they are using sub-standard oil/ghee in the curry. I got sore throat and digestion issue right after eating the curry. Meat was ok, it should be more tender. Curry was a little bit sweet, might be a lot onions in it. The cheff should learn how to make pure Punjab style desi curry. I’d be hesitant to visit it again.

Food and service just as bad as each other. Worst place in rochdale

I would definitely recommend Punjabs - has been a favourite for a long time. However I have removed one star solely because of the lack of customer service skills. There is just that one guy who is always rude on the phone and for that reason I do tend to avoid ordering here. But order than that, the food is great.

I have been craving punjab pizzas from my childhood 20 years ago finally went back and was disappointed :( I got there 12" mix £6.50 which is the Asian style pizza with keema ,chicken donner, onions, sweetcorn and chilli's It all sounds good it looks good but all I could taste was nan nothing like how i remembered them I think the issue is ever since these types of takeaway do a 3 x 12" pizza offers they start cutting corners and try make pizzas with as less toppings so they can make a higher profit That's exactly what I got 80% nan (not pizza dough) and 20% toppings The chicken donner was diced so small into the. Same size as keema so it was crumbs and couldn't taste the meat at all I remember there keema back 20 years ago was brown with a nice strong keema flavour and now it is red with no flavour ,u couldn't even taste the pizzas sauce or cheese either just a hint of onions and chilli's and nan that's it. Such a shame menu from July 2024

Can't fault these guys have been going here for over 25 years. Everything here is freshly made and made with aromatic spices. My favourite is the kebabs and chefs special handi. thank you guy's. 😊

Food is so fresh and tasty. Staffeach and everyone are a compliment to the take away.

Food is good but the man at the counter doesn't know how to speak to people!!

Keep to a good range of products and naans are light and good sized Well made and caters for a range of people. Good pricing and not long to wait usually.

ordered donor and chips today, food tasted like cardboard was so dry couldn't even chew it, salad looked like it was 2 weeks old, the guy at the counter needed some lessons on customer service so arrogant and disrespectful, would not even give it one star but thats the lowest unfortunately avoid this place!!!

Food is very nice but need to improve counter service man on front has attitude towards customers change him or if he's the owner get some one els on front counter Friendly advice

Beat chicken tikka and chicken karahi in town

My mum purchased chicken karai at 5pm it was a collection so she picked it up and went home. When she was about to eat it they had way too much salt in it but refused to deliver the food to their house and asked them to collect it. when I asked to deliver the food the person on the phone said “we don’t do it for small deliveries” irresponsible take away that can’t take responsibility for their own mess up and want their customers to come back for their mistakes.

If you ever get chance to go milkstone road in rochdale you are spoilt for choice on which take out to get. Punjab take away is decent, I ordered a 9 inch pizza 🍕 which was delicious. Also ordered the £12 mix kebab ramadhan offer so 2 naans with donner kebab, chicken, seekh kebab and kobeda for iftari. The food was decent and fresh & enjoyed by all, prices are normal compared to nowadays take out prices.

Visited today whilst visiting the area for the first time. Walked in and asked if they take card payments which they don’t however as I counted the change I did have another diner offered to make up the difference which the gentleman behind the counter said it was okay and to give him what I had which was small change. He asked me what I wanted to order and made no fuss when I explained my son does not eat meat however I wanted meat. During the month of Ramadan and fasting once again thank you and the food was delicious. Next time I’m in Manchester I will come to Rochdale to visit this takeaway.

since it reopend the quality has gone down the drain.i orderd chicken curry and it was like dish water and no taste what so ever,i will never go back.

I want to upload pic of the doner i got but they no option the doner is dry i never had dry doner like that from any place it waa clearly taken off and over done in microwave its cheaper than others but im.disapointed

Food is brilliant friendly and helpful staff had chicken korma mince meat korma garlic naam plain naam rice was delicious and will be ordering again soon🥘🌮🍕🥗

Cheap food but also taste like it too.

Today I buy 2 stuff dish .but I sorry to say is really bed food I ever eat .stuff food price in menu £5 .they charge me.£18 for 2 dish .money no problem but .never punjab .sorry

Fast delivery, hot & tasty food, very generous portions. Excellent value for money. So glad Punjab is open again!

We had a large lunch order today for 20+ people. The food was hot, of excellent quality and had nothing missing which can happen with large orders. Everyone enjoyed and we will be back for another lunch time feast in the new year! Thank you, it was fantastic! on behalf of Yearsley Food

first and last time orderd food from punjab.... Food arrived after 40 mins pizza was bloody cold chips looked as if they had been put back in oil. There drivers dont have food warmer which supose to keep your food warm. By the time driver gets to you after doin his rounds food is cold...

Since I am a foody person so I have tried mutton curry, mince curry,samoos and today chicken BBQ with the bones.Everything was so mouth watering and super delicious.Excellent customer service and Now we have proper Tradition Food in our food street.Must try kind of food and also very reasonable prices

Waited a very long time for Punjab to reopen and it was definitely worth the wait. Food is amazing and the shop now looks amazing, done up really well. Highly recommended.

Generally good food.. went the other everything was decent except i noticed the seekh kebabs have changed abit and secondly they put less spice into food whereas before was nice n spicy an the seekh kebab recipe before was 10/10..

Family have been going here for 20 years. Probably the best tandoori chicken I’ve tasted in my life. Great value, great people.

Had curries from here for awhile gone down bank chicken madras was awful and lamb madras hardly had any lamb in was regular customer but no more

Food was nasty never tasted out like it evan my dog wouldn't eat it but then again they will eat out trust me nasty place dont waste ur money there not worth it

Not great food....naans are too thick and heavy but kebabs are okay....Kebab House naans (up the road) are perfect....thin and light

The best curries by far and chapatis to die for. Their daily specials are highly recommended.

Ordered a chicken biryani and chicken curry. The curry was nice, a little bit dry for my liking but not bad at all. The biryani left a lot to be desired, no imli no masala no biryani mix, only good point was that it was ON the bone. Id return again but only for the curry.

The seek kebab and kobedi kebab on chapati or nan from here are always nice, just make sure tell them to put everything separate, The barbeque chicken on the bone is also lovely jubbly Ordering over the phone can be a bit of a hassle, as they always seem to be understaffed

Chicken tika with naan is very nice

really friendly staff never order from any where else really good value for your money food always arrives on time plus it's really hot when they deliver never had any problems ordering over the phone or when I've been in takeaway as some of the comments on here say the owner is rude he never spoken to me or any members of my family in a rude manner

penggg asf kebabs go there like everyday so nice each is worth the money. Get free kebabs too sometimes ;)

Always come here when I'm back home for a weekend. The chicken tikka naan is the best value for money on the street.

Their Seeks kebabs are one of the Best in Rochdale.

Just ordered a pizza at it arrived looked like it had been cooked in hair and when we rand to complain he didnt even question the haors being there... Demanded our money back

Best takeaway in Rochdale the curries are full of meat and good quality meat as well, even the burgers and pizzas are top notch. You can eat in as well and get it piping hot from the oven.
