just been to try the new chefs cuisine. I had the steak pie and my friend had the chicken stroganoff and it was so good Fantastic value for money and the staff are so friendly and welcoming. go try it you will not be disappointed

First time having a meal here. Absolutely amazing value. Food was fantastic fresh and tasty. Would highly recommend. Staff were lovely and friendly. Will definitely be back. 🤩😋🥰

It's been nearly 4 years since I first visited this place. My fiancé and I went there again today with my family to celebrate my aunt's birthday. The food was just as good as last time, and from reading other reviews they seem to be very consistent in this. Something I especially like is you can go back for seconds. This seems to discourage people from overfilling their plates with more than they can eat like in carveries where you only get one pass, as they can go back for more if it wasn't enough. My elderly aunts don't eat so much now, but fiancé and nephew are both skinny dudes who can eat for Scotland and they didn't leave hungry! Aside from the carvery and desserts it's mostly self-service, which suited our party of 12 (including four children and two auld yins). You get to try a bit of everything if you want to, and with everyone eating different amounts at different speeds it worked really well for us. The waiting staff clear the tables quickly and without hovering over you do a great job of spotting when a table is ready to order dessert (which is pretty generous and delicious). Great food, good atmosphere, very enjoyable. Would advise booking as the place is usually busy and for good reason.

We love this place. Been a few times for lunch and you cant beat the value and the portions. It's good old fashioned food, steak pies, lentil soup, fish tea etc but it's done well and they even give you a cup of tea if you want. I give it 5 stars cos at its price point there is no competition based on sheer value.

Great wee place for food. Super cheap lunch, portions were great and traditional food dishes are perfect. Service is good although our waitress is a bit abrupt and scary. Definitely a good place to go in Motherwell. Place was super busy so you may need to book.

Visited here today as I am the only member of the family who hasn't been. It was really great food. Good choice of starters, main meat dishes were beautifully cooked and the fresh vegetables were just lovely. Amazing choice of deserts too. The décor of the club is quite dated and old but you just couldn't find fault with what you receive for the money you pay.

Good food, great choice, good size portions. Sunday Carvery choice of four meats, lots of vegs & potatoes. Execellent service, & welcomes parties. Need to book ahead to be sure of a table. Very reasonable price

What can I say... amazing food at fantastic prices. Lots of food to choose from and service is first class. Food is alway well presented and hot. Would highly recommend eating here as you won’t be disappointed at all. Staff are very friendly and nothing is a bother to them.

Had lunch Wednesday food was nice but the service was really slow 1 hour and 30 mins in still waiting on sweet to come, was actually contemplating just paying and leaving without it ..to be fair I've been about 4 times before and service was great,

We go for lunch and love the food every time. Then last week we went for Sunday lunch and the meat melted in your moth and veg was amazing. It’s a must with a hang over on a Sunday !

Myself and 3 friends went for lunch, it was okay staff friendly and helpful, only downside is bar is in another room

Go here often for lunch with family. Definitely the best place in Motherwell to eat out! Food always cooked fresh and lovely service!

Excellent selection of food, all fresh including pakora, soup, salad, pate etc. The main course was the carvery, was absolutely delicious. The chef was helpful and friendly.

have lunched here several times with friendship club and have always found the food and service to be very good indeed. In fact, we are returning in a fortnights time for our end of session lunch. Good choice of food, inexpensive and quickly served. Reservations taken and advised for special occasions. The restaurant is well presented and clean and the service is well done. Plenty of parking space available. Has a regular clientelle and is well worth a visit.

Went with my partner and daughter was absolutely brilliant good portion size and very reasonably priced staff were great as well defiantly be back I'm in the industry myself and know the pressure all the staff are put under nowadays and it's great to find a place that take care and pride in what they cook

had a great carvery meal and there was pleaty of meat to choose from and the knickerbocker glory was lovely.

was like being back at school with the carvery didn't like the roast beef it was really chewy just overall bad experience wont be back

We always book for sat lunch and we always have a good meal. Service good food great and good for the price. Been a few times now and will definitely go back again. All the staff are great and friendly.

Great choice of starters, mains, and sweets, staff very friendly and helpful ,service was quick.I have tried steak pie, fish and chips, savoury mince and potatoes. I never have any other sweet than their Knickerbocker glory which is an absolute treat not to be missed I thoroughly recommend this to everyone. Prices very reasonable , and a large car park across the road from the restaurant.

Has a good carvery for a sunday roast, take your granny and grandpa and they'll love it. They also have bingo, music nights and other stuff on at nights. Tell your old folks to check it out.

Always get a great meal here! Portions are great and food it always fresh! Staff are very friendly and you never have to wait long on your meal getting served to you!! Prices are fantastic too, £7.50 for 3 course meal!! Can't beat it!!!

here for my god daughters christening on Sunday 24th April , the club is big and has 3 halls , we had a buffet but it wasn't the best and the selections of beers on draught was limited , prices not to bad , the toilets could do with updating.

My family, who are from a mining and steelworking background, invited BF and I to this venue for Sunday lunch. It is near Ravenscraig, where the community took a major blow many years ago, leading to misery, unemployment and poverty. Bad me has got a bit spoiled and snobby, and from the outside it doesn't look like the most inviting place, but read on...The function suite area in which the Sunday carvery is served was warm and pleasant, and the food was a treat, not to mention very good for the price (about £10 a head for as much as you can eat). Good hearty soup for starters, also prawns, pate and oatcakes, salad, hot pakora (when in Rome!) and overall catered for the varied tastes of the locals. We were pigs and tried a bit of eveything, all good. The main course carvery was generous, for the most part very good food, although the mushrooms were cooked in an odd sauce that didn't quite go with anything else, albeit that is the only fault I can find.Staff were very friendly, quick to clear away empty plates/cups/glasses and the puddings looked great too (I'm not a sweet tooth and was stuffed anyways). BF had a big slice of chocolate fudge cake and said it was the bees knees. My folks stuffed themselves too - no change there! - and a great time was had by all. I did note this was a very community centred place where people were allowed to take food away for others who couldn't make it (e.g. soup for elderly relatives) and it warmed my heart to see that. If we lived nearer we'd be there regularly.
