Morrisons Supermarket Cafe in Northampton

Upon arriving there weren’t many people in the restaurant. We ordered 2 portions of mac and cheese, a child’s chicken nuggets and chips and a cold sandwich. All the hot food was stone cold. I spent 10 minutes searching through the utensils pot to try and find a clean set. The hot drinks from the hot machine were cold and the mugs were dirty. The staff were rude and when giving them our dirty plates he slammed them down on the table and walked away. Overall, not worth it, never coming back

Ordered ultimate breakfast to share with Gd and Granddaughter breakfast as a treat. Ultimate breakfast was floating in Grease and grease on plate; yellow grease floating on eggs, sausages greasy, chunky crust not 2 slices as advertised soaked in Grease, bacon had white fat hardly cooked almost inedible. Girls omelette dry so left it. Most disgusting meal, won't go again to eat there. 😒

Very poor service , when I asked for an English breakfast was told that they had stopped cooking and I would have to have eat what was remaining in the seving pans , and when I asked could they cook my egg hard , a very ignorant and un-helpful person , told me they had stopped cooking at 1-30pm, so would not do it , what was worse than the food was watching it being put on my plate by hand , no gloves or scoops , have put a complaint in.

Oh my gosh. Wish I’d read the reviews first. I had avocado on toast with poached eggs. Never have I seen anything that looked so bad. The bread was sudden with a horrible green liquid pretending to be avocado. The eggs were on the side, and slippery as a seal. I managed to cut off a crust and eat the very firm yolk of the eggs. Avoid at all costs

The food was barely cooked and cold.coffee also barely warm.waste of money and disappointing. The last time I went the all day breakfast was hardly warm .would never go again.Disgusting!

Morrisons have suddenly stopped serving hot food after 2:30pm. We arrived at just after, hoping for an all-day breakfast, only to be told this. I think Morrisons are winding down their cafes in order to eventually close them.

Morrisons shop is going downhill, not the shop it used to be. Trolley backing up in the carpark no personnel visible collecting them . No fresh pasta today as the machine was being clean down, lack of food on the shelf’s and one lass on the tills whilst the trolley que was 6 or 7 deep.

Ordered a full cooked breakfast. Even after taking it back to the counter and asking them to put it in the microwave, it came back still tepid (apart from the hash browns which I ate). I don’t think they did heat it in the microwave as the plate was still stone cold and would have been hot if they had.

One of my local shops, I got followed around so much and obviously I felt like a criminal,I've never stolen anything in my life, and to be trailed around the store is insulting and whilst they are making me feel uncomfortable they ain't looking for an actual shoplifter, 1 or which I actual reported to the security guard at the time, I won't be doing that again! If you like feeling like you've done something when you haven't, then this is the place for you.

Where do I start. We got to the till to order and the person who was supposed to take our order said we would have to wait and went away for sometime. When I tried to order the breakfast from the website menu, we were told this is not now available even though we could show them the web page, and again was told this was wrong. We observed that the food ready for being delivered to tables was being left standing while staff stood around talking to each other. Our food was delivered in the same way and was barley warm, it was very small for a full English breakfast, with the toast that was cut up to fit in a small round tin, resulting in a meagre portion of toast. I feel that the staff would need retraining as the attitude and customer care realy does need addressing fr the better. This experience has happened to me in the past , however I did think maybe I would try again but now see this as the normal service to expect. I will take my custom else where as the Morrison’s cafe cannot produce a service worth retuning to.

Best fish and chips around any day of the week, reasonable wait time on the food and the staff are friendly. Very tasty everytime.

Terrible, we arrived at 12.45 on 25th Sept to have a light lunch. We were told they could not do toasted sandwiches if they were not in counter, there were only two white bread ham sandwiches. We took the ham sandwiches, disappointment. Not even buttered, the ham was very sparse, with no salad or tomato, just dry. Terrible. They said there were no condiments we had to have a slice of cake to satisfy ourselves.

Opted to pay cash for my shopping today. Notwithstanding the fact that I had my receipt and it clearly stated that my cash transaction had been processed I was told by Manager: Tom Page that I had used a check-out that was Card Only. It was rather like being told that black is white but he and his check-out colleague insisted that I must have broken the rules! Mr Page's colleague told him that I should be barred for my taking umbrage when she accused me of using a Card Only machine to pay cash. I can only assume that she thought my using a machine that was clearly set up for cash transactions was on a par with shoplifting! After I completed the transaction I was left waiting for 10 minutes while they fetched my 4p change. To say this was a pointless confrontation would be an understatement - it was plainly ludicrous. I had paid for my goods, had the receipt and still they insisted on blaming me for the check-out machine malfunction they had convinced themselves had taken place. Not only this, Mr Page demanded on two occasions that I place my mask over my mouth as I tried to remonstrate with he and his colleague, when he himself wasn't even wearing one! The phrase: horrid hypocrisy comes to mind. Why are Morrisons employing staff so devoid of social skills to whom the concept that the CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS RIGHT is an idea they cannot begin to understand? I live opposite and have shopped in the store for 15 years but after this awful experience I will try Asda instead! Disgusted!

Visited Morrison’s Northampton today (08/09/20), to have an all day breakfast, but Changed my mind and had ‘Haddock&Chips ‘. Turned out to be a very good choice. The Haddock was white and had a great taste and the batter was light and enjoyable. Forgotten the price now, I never remember but can recall at the time, it was great value. I hope they do not change this and I can highly recommend.

Hi" there just been for a half price breakfast " at morrisons supermarket cafe " wow " absolutely delicious and tasty full English breakfast " l only paid £2.97p "" the bacon was cooked to perfection as well the sausages " egg was just beautiful cooked ' as l cut into the egg it run all over the toast ' absolutely amazing breakfast. Definitely worth a vist trust me a great way to start your day ! And you can do your shopping as well " morrisons are really well organised and l was totally comfortable. Shopping and having a breakfast cafe experience. Really recommend morrisons shopping and cafe " many thanks to all the lovely staff and management at morrisons and especially the cafe staff and chef's thanks so much for a great start to weekend " trevor Northampton England.

Iv taken my grandchildren for tea every week to Morrisons Kettering Rd Northampton, and up untill 18months ago the staff were lovely, they never didn't have what we ordered.. But since then they've got worse n worse! No fish, no ice cream for the kids, some times the staff have been pleasently and we've found an alternative.. But two weeks ago an 'unfortunate' member of ur staff.. (Not for the first time) came onto the till.. I started to order an got "no there's none of that" (fish again) OK ice cream kids get excited about their ices... Again NO! Very rude face like a butchers dog just shrugged her shoulder wasn't interested... So I said right were off and we left. And I can tell you now... I won't ever take my children in ur supermarket cafe again. Here's a tip... Sort ur staff out sort ur service out and most of all... Stock up!!.

I was passing through Banbury and decided to call into Morrison’s for a snack. I ordered eggs royale and a pot of tea, The young man on the till took payment and said they had no hollandaise sauce but that was ok so I paid and sat at a table. A waitress came over and said they had no eggs royale so I had changed the order to scrambled egg. When it arrived it was on a muffin with bacon and hollandaise sauce, not a good combination which made it look like someone had been sick on the plate. I won’t be revisiting any time soon.

Nice cup of latte and cake. Service really good. And a bargain too. Been going for many years to Morrison’s

Called in on Sunday the shop wasn’t busy as it was 10:35Ordered 3 breakfasts and didn’t wait long2 breakfasts had to have the bacon cooked again as it was cooked. My breakfast was COLD and the replacement took less time than the original. Hash browns were black as were the sausages. Scrambled egg was water. The pot of tea was nice.

Called in for something to eat and decided on the scampi. They were out of scampi Which is strange as they have a freezer full in the shop. We had the salmon fillet which was cooked well and a reasonable price

After reading other reviews went with trepidation as to what we would get. Were thirsty and hungry and went in against our better judgment. Although we only had coffee and cake, staff were pleasant and extremely considerate of my friend who has special needs and put themselves out to help. Cakes were fresh and tasty and coffee was excellent. Unlike some reviewers, the mugs were spotlessly clean as were the tables. It was a very slack period as far as customers were concerned, and I do wonder if other reviewers visited when they were busier. We will certainly give it another try, perhaps for a meal, to see if they are consistent. But certainly couldn't fault them on our visit.

Took my daughter and grandson for a breakfast after doing some shopping, we ordered 3 breakfasts and tea. When we looked a the (tiny) teapots they were covered in stains and looked dirty, so we ditched the tea but by then (unfortunately) it was too late to cancel the breakfasts. We collected knives and forks all of which were also stained and we had to clean them with tissue. By now we're distinctly unimpressed as was the gentleman behind me who also complained about the state of the cutlery and the teapots.1) The bacon was almost raw and looked like it had been dipped in cooking oil and taken straight out.2) The beans tasted sour, the sort of taste they adopt when they've gone off.3) The sausage looked like it had been brought out of a retirement home and was hard.The best part of the meal was the toast which wasn't burned.That's the last time I do that.

From what was the top Supermarket Cafe, Morrisons in recent months has rapidly moved in a downward spiral.Todays visit saw us purchasing sandwiches - not much you can do wrong with these, is there. A resounding YES. Bread on one pack was hard to the point of being stale with filling that was less than nice (tuna/sweetcorn) with the other one (Salmon and Cucumber) feeling as if it had just been brought out the freezer. Icy cold, dry salmon with almost transparent cucumber which I find diffiicult to decide if it was because it was so cold or so thinly cut. Bit of both, I suspect.When we went to get a table, I was surprised so many were empty (bearing in mind this was around 13:00 on a sunday) but finding a clean one was virtually impossible. They had been cleared OK but the remnants of sauce, sugar, other food marks had been left and not sure if any table had been subjected to a wipe. Whilst we were there we did observe a coupld of tables being cleared of trays fairly quickly after the user left but absolutely no disinfecting or wiping was taking place.Certainly not the standards I used to be exposed to in Morrisons stores but certainly this reducing quality service is being seen in many I have visited.

The food here is absolutely amazing!! I always come when it’s half term, the slushes are beautiful! The macaroni cheese is different every time and that’s what I love about it! Although only minor point is that the chairs are fixed to the tables so it can be awkward to move in and out at times.

Took 3 year old grandson, who enjoyed a ride, and had a good value coffee and cake. Good parking, even in the snow.

Came here at 13.20 on the 16th of November. Got to the till with my friend who was in front. He tried to spark up a conversation with the till lady and she ignored him making it all very awkward he said thank you for the receipt when it was handed to him and still she said nothing. I then made a point when it was my turn to simply say nothing as she had been so rude. So the entire service was done completely in silent apart from when she said “you having the same?” Not what you’d expect from a cafe. Won’t be returning.

This is one of the nicer Morrisons Cafes and unlike some of my recent visits to other branches, is clean, tidy and has the dishes removed quickly after customers have left.

A las 12:59 pedimos. Espere 56 minutos para que los alimentos lleguen - sólo para camarera para dejar la placa en el suelo. Otros clientes también indignado en sábado cerca de tiempo de espera. Probablemente 5 - 10 minutos antes de cada mesa de comida. No es un menú complicado. Mucho, pero muy lejos de ser eficiente y productiva. They revamped this a while ago so is a lot nicer now for enjoying a break we always go in there first before the dreaded weekly shop

This is a relatively new coffee house/cafe in Great Bowden village. It has a long community table down the middle and small tables round the outside. Also a little gallery upstairs with soft seating. We enjoyed particularly hot lattes here and they were very good. There are gifts, cards and home wares at the side which looked inviting. The staff were friendly and helpful and the menu looked very interesting.Small but perfectly formed is how we found it. We will visit again.

Tuve la cigalas que no es adecuado, pero terrones reconstituida maloliente scampi. Los guisantes son terribles nastiness pálido lata. Patatas fritas bien. Supongo que no se puede esperar mucho por £4. 75.

Mi madre dijo que la comida era genial, pero no cuando nos fuimos. Las patatas fritas eran cansados, los niños burger parecía estar bien pizza era una pizza de Chicago la ciudad que era normalito. Mi sopa era asquerosa y no pude comer, pollo y verduras y un bollo de pan con barato. Era muy barato, aunque los niños comidas £3 y £2 sopa. Además no había baja en carbohidratos podía ver opciones. Menú en conjunto muy anticuada y la calidad de la comida directamente de los años 80. No volveremos de nuevo.

Cold Latte, kids running riot, slow service and generally a poor ambiance. They have changed the cafe around as well for some reason making to worse. Many tables left dirty for the entire time I was there. Cost effective though and food was well cooked

Fabulous staff, including Wendy and Sam, always very pleasing and happy to help. Food is always good, plenty of variety to choose from, lovely puddlings, its not The Ritz, but then at these prices it was never going to be. The amount of people that we see there every week means it must be a wonderful place to eat, and that the staff must be equally as fabulous! Keep doing what you are doing Morrisons

A convenient place to have a drink or a bite, always delivers the same quality of fare, still can't get over that they display cakes and other eats without covers on a counter which people line up along whilst waiting to be served, with youngsters and adult alike breathing all over it.

Not good decor has changed however very slow at checkout and they werent even busy our food came out before I had paid for it. Woman behind till rude to customers, by the time I had paid for it it was cold. Not good customer service needs improving.

Visited Morrisons Supermarket Cafe recently and did not enjoy the experience.There was no cutlery, sugar, serviettes or milk and no interest from staff in remedying the situation when asked.The fish and chips was very average and the bread and butter we ordered never arrived.Will we return - a fairly obvious NO!!

New look is great. Best thing about morrisons cafe is always going to be sausage, egg, chips and beans. With bread and butter. Best bread and butter pudding and custard around.

Called in for lunch and quite frankly we wished that we had not. I had fish and chips that was well below par and my wife a jacket potato. Our food was barely warm and just not enjoyable at all, we were on the verge of returning our meals but didn't have the time. We will not be going back here in a hurry.

Breakfast was poor, so we got a full refund, fried bread so hard you could not cut it, beans had no sauce with them, bacon was over cooked, will not try that again

I have used this café for some years and have always been fairly satisfied. Admittedly I tend to use it for either a breakfast or sausage bap so my experience is limited but I have always been satisfied.

Meals are not cooked properly, not well presented even their famous fish and chips are a let down. Their sandwiches have very little filling and they do not cater for people who want a simple sandwich such as just cheese or ham.

The food is very basic cafe type stuff but is acceptable for the price, the drinks machines are quite terrible not producing anything hot, I had a chocolate that not only came out Luke warm but had no chocolate in it, this is not a one off.The tables are not cleaned regularly enough and from first hand eye site no cleaned well enough.The food comes out In a timely fashion but sometimes you do wonder when some of the ingredients were cooked that appear in front of you?

we decided to have dinner out while shopping, and both chose the chicken stack, not a great start when the server realised that the cook had not put on any melted cheese on them so he put a cheese slice on top and said he was sorry for the cheese being cold, the chicken fillett was over cooked rubbery on the outside and dry on the iside covered with some rancid sauce, better value and better food at mcdonalds

Always considered Morrisons Supermarket cafe to be head and shoulders above the rest but this visit has made me have doubts .Only about 20% of tables occupied and with adequate staff numbers we were amazed at having to wait 30 minutes for 1 cooked breakfast and a muffin with poached egg .Just about to go to enquirer when it arrived. There was an apology but I did comment that half an hour (Ordered at 11:13 delivered 11:45) was a bit much which the server again apologised for. The food was certainly not hot, giving me the impression it had been lying under a heat light or similar. We were famished so decided to just eat it and not complain. On the positive side, a few minutes later, the manager arrived, proffered her apologies and pointed out that it hadn't been half an hour as the clock I was looking at was fast. She said we had been told there was a 30 minute wait, which certainly was not the case. We finally accepted a new pot of tea to make up for those we had virtually finished.Perhaps disclosing why the unacceptable delay had occurred would have been a good idea and certainly not arguing over a couple of minutes.Haven't written off Morrison's but another negative experience may well have me rethinking!Need to smarten up you act please.

We went for an all day breakfast, tea for drinks. The breakfast arrived and had obviously been stood for a while. The hash browns and the fried bread were dry, the bacon was soggy with a scummy residue indicative of being kept together in a heap and warm. Sausages were "ok". Beans and tomotos were fine, the eggs were freshly made and nice.... All in all I couldn't recommend the food. The tea was reasonable and there were lemon slices available, for lemon tea.In all fairness when the breakfast was shown to the acting supervisor she had to agree that it was not up to standard and gave us a full refund.

Award winning fish and chips what a joke small fish 12 chips horrible cheap mushy peas the only award this should win is the worst for money fish and chip even the waitress was embarrassed with it

We visited the cafe today, while we were waiting for the car in Kwik Fit.We had a coke, 2 tea cakes a coffee and a small cake.Price was quite reasonable and service was fine.Did notice a quite dirty milk reservoir on the coffee machine. The cafe, was an absolute state. All tables dirty and many with the remains that had been left by past customers.The small things matter.

I have eaten here with my family dozens of times. We find it convenient and inexpensive on weekday evenings when we are juggling getting in from work and then taking the kids to their various clubs (Taekwondo, swimming, youth clubs etc etc). When you just want a decent hot meal and you are short on time, Morrisons cafe is ideal! kids eat free on weekdays (with every adult meal purchased).
