Twice I've been to Morrisons to have breakfast in the last couple of months. Both occasions the food was cold. Serving relatively warm food on a cold plate. Not the brightest idea.

We visited the cafe for breakfast today, the food was fine but the service was poor. It was not the staffs fault as they were clearly under staffed. I approached the manager of the cafe who quite frankly did not care at all and blamed head office. He was arrogant and cocky , a disgrace. The staff were working really hard and they agreed with my comments

It always amazes me that a cafe in a supermarket constantly runs out of food ! We ordered Brown toast and got White, the trays were just thrown on the table . I don’t blame the youngsters running the cafe, but the training is very poor.

We decided to have breakfast before shopping today and it was not great. The order was wrong, it seems as near enough is ok. Bread instead of toast, egg we did not order. The porridge was watered done and from a porridge pot !!!! The standards have definitely dropped as we come here often. All I can say was the staff were friendly and polite. Another case of poor management. The quality of the food we had was ok.

As a party of four looking for a breakfast to start the day we ordered 3 small breakfasts and one porridge (without the fruit). Very surprised to be told that no sausages were available and would we like something to replace it. We all agreed with extra bacon but sadly that was not forthcoming. The medium sized plates were packed full of food and although the bacon was not cooked as much as some of us liked (personal choice) it was reasonable value for the price. Our porridge eater was very pleased with her breakfast. At the risk of being pedantic the butter spread on the toast and bread was quite sparse. The two members of staff who dealt with us were very pleasant and the server extremely helpful

Stopped off for a quick break. Had a coffee and a jammy dodger. The coffee was surprisingly good. Handy location with parking.

Heading north along the M1, we decided to stop off for a few grocery items as Lutterworth is conveniently close to Junction 20. Noticed there’s an in store cafe and took the opportunity to have quick lunchtime snack and drink before moving on. Layout and ambience is that of a cheap works cafe from back in the day and the cafe is really in need of a refurb. Some menu items such as soup were unavailable and the coffee was just about drinkable. Staff were cheerful and although there’s plenty of car parking, next time I think we’ll go to the Costa (which you drive past on the town’s one way system) rather than have a repeat experience here.
