Morrisons Liskeard Cafe in Cornwall, Isles of Scilly

If you're eating in the cafe the food is nice, plenty of it and is done in a decent amount of time. If you order takeaway- well, don't! I've given so many chances ordering different items for takeaway and each time disappointed. This time, I ordered an adult mac & cheese (which I've had in the cafe, a big portion, and everything there) and a kids sausage, mash & beans. As you can see, the mac & cheese portion size was a few mouthfuls, missing a piece of garlic bread and salad also missing. My child's meal was also missing the beans! You pay for a meal to only be given half the items (wasn't told things weren't in stock) and very pathetic portions compared to if you ate in the cafe is a bit of a joke! Also, despite having a 'collection' time, food was late as always. I give up ordering takeaways from here.

Good breakfast served very quickly hot and fresh early Sunday morning. Vast improvement on previous visit.

Ate here every morning of our holidays, staying at the premier inn. A full breakfast at 6.00 odd you cannot go wrong, it arrived pipping hot. Staff very friendly.

If you are travelling on the A303 & passing through Wincanton. Worth a stop for a tea or food break. Nice range of snacks/food.

Gave all 1 stars because i had to give a star. Me and my partner popped into the cafe for a takeaway coffee. The machine wasn't working properly, so the colleague open the machine to fix it... OMG it was absolutely disgusting. No wonder it wasn't working.Looked like it has never been cleaned since being installed. Shocking , god knows what the kitchen looked like. As i said gave 1 star because i had to give something to leave a review

Absolutely loved our experience at Morrisons Cafe in Liskeard, Cornwall! Had their fish and chips—huge portion and such affordable prices. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. Can't wait to go back for another meal!

Not a bad little car for especially when you're doing your shopping

Ordered a full English and tea then went and sat down. Table was sticky so had to ask staff to clean it. Breakfasts arrived but we were told the bacon would be another 10 mins! Unfortunately the hash browns were hard and very dry and tasteless, the fried egg was solid and sausages were also dry! The bacon arrived, very tasty but the fat was underdone but at least it was fresh. Shame there was nothing to eat the bacon with though!

Extremely rude and obnoxious staff, who were judgemental and unhelpful. Food is inedible, coffee and tea is just dirty water. Avoid at all costs!

30 min wait for a 2 Luke warm partially cooked breakfasts. cafe less than 1/3 full!! Grandson had chicken nuggets that didn't taste of chicken

Only wanted two hot chocolates on Sunday at 1.45pm, machine wouldn’t work not even for coffee, found a young miserable lad round the corner to help me, he didn’t say a word just emptied machine which was disgusting, I tried again and nothing, found another girl who said to wait till it warms up, I only got two half cups, by then I had lost the will to live, so I paid, started drinking and it was awful just warm water, so left it as no one to complain to, terrible service and hot chocolate.

Not a very good experience. It took a long time for our food to arrive and when it did my friend's soup had almost a skin over it where it had been boiled in the microwave and my poached eggs weirdly were really cold on the inside. Tea was way too weak although my friend's coffee was good. Sorry Morrisons 😖

Popped in for lunch after a hospital visit. Wanted Quiche but none available. Settled on fish and chips. Peas and chips vaguely warm, nice fish but way to much batter. Just after ordering one member of staff left leaving only one to do everything.. not ideal

Had a wonderful veggie breakfast, a third of the cost at one we had at a seaside restaurant last week, this one was presented beautifully and tasted lovely. We asked for oat milk which they didn't have but they took the trouble to go and get some. Diane and a new staff member were so helpful. Thank you. 😊

Visited as we regularly do & ordered 4 meals . Usually the service is fine but food hit & miss depending on what produce is in stock. The foreign Lady cooking seemed uncomfortable taking an order containing scrambled & poached eggs . We later found out why ! 🤬 Later 2 out of 4 family members were stricken with food poisoning. The same 2 meals containing egg , obviously gone past their use by date but they decided to serve them to people regardless & cause a vulnerable person vomiting & illness for the best part of 2 days! Are these people not trained in basic Health & Safety & food hygiene?! Dined on Wed 10.08.22

For a great value, Excellent Breakfast - look no further ! Full English Breakfast was Excellent - For under £8 we got a full English Breakfast with a pot of tea and toast included. Nicely presented, very quick service. Fair prices on tea and coffee - Delicious food.

Went there today. The guy serving was as rude as anything (Kyle), not only to us but other costumers was very upsetting to see. Place wasn't very busy but the time on the wait for food was 1hour. We couldn't understand why until we watched Lee dishing out...don't think he would of moved if his....was on fire! It was painful to watch. No clear instructions on kids food and not very kid friendly either! Nor acomindating. Very disappointed to see the Cafe go down hill. Will not be going there ever again! Didn't know the head from their butt's! My children were shocked at their behaviour too. I'd gove ZERO stars if I could!

Popped in for an early tea and resutarnant was quiet. Served qucikly but I get the impression that staff moral in the cafe is low.

Tried using the app to order, very slow process. Then had to go to the counter to collect tea and coffee . the app is a waste of time. Breakfast was like warm. I gave sainsbury breakfast 5 stars

absolutely disappointed, if I would be able I would put 0, been waiting over 40 min for 2 breakfasts when not busy, food cold and stonebaked that's probably why not busy

Visited last Wednesday morning for a full English. Food just average, average wait time. So decided to visit again on Wednesday this time opting for a bacon and sausage sandwich which was delicious, packed with bacon and sausage and served on lovely fresh bloomer bread. Top marks. Thursday morning as we had about 50 minutes to wait for the Plymouth bus from outside the store we decided to opt for the same sandwich,. We waited and waited, when after half an hour the sandwiches still hadn't appeared and other peoples 'full English' was arriving which I know was ordered after ours, I decided to ask (politely) would ours be much longer as we had to catch a bus in approx 15 minutes (miss this one and it is another hour to wait). I was told rather abruptly that other people were in front of us ( I don't think so). The order had been messed up. Shortly afterwards the 'sandwich' appeared served on hard ciabatta bread, I said to the very pleasant waitress this isn't what we ordered, she said well that is a bacon and sausage sandwich...errr no it isn't, we had a lovely bloomer bread sandwich yesterday. To which she replied I must have misheard you ???? When I opened the said sandwich it contained the fattiest of bacon which was undercooked I My punishment I believe for daring to 'complain' about the abysmal service. This cafe has really gone downhill over the years we have been using it but it won't be getting a chance to redeem itself. A 3-4 minute bus ride into Liskeard will get you a really good breakfast at Wetherspoons which is where we went the next day. Perhaps after the takeover the new owners will have more consideration for their customers.

Just had breakfast and a couple of coffees sat outside with my family and Lisa was absolutely lovely 🙂 Chatty and friendly and still got on with her cleaning. Hope to see her again when we will definitely be returning.

We have Sunday lunch there most every week. Friendly staff. Good food.

Just sat outside , your security guard is not standing back from the door and giving people the safe distance they should keep, people are trying there best to keep away from him.

3 quality sausages,chips, egg and baked beans......£4.20 It just doesn't get any better !

The food was not at its best today. Undercooked eggs burnt sausages rubbery scrambled eggs. Worst food we have had here.

I ordered my food on the electronic menu, the item showed available, staff informed me once I had gone to my table they had ran out, so I ordered a different option, only to be told 10 mins after that was not available also. Food was ok but peas were cold. Staff were friendly, but electronic menu needs to update food which has ran out.

If I could give it zero I would. Their knowledge about vegan food is non-existent. Not great if you have allergies involving dairy. I asked for a vegan breakfast but the mushrooms had been cooked in butter and the toast had been spread with butter 🙄

Lovely food at very cheap prices. staff are all lovely and friendly. Go here regularly and they even know my regular order

Food was good when it came but it was nearly an hour after we ordered it and although the cafe was busy for the first twenty minutes it was almost empty by the time we prompted them after 45 minutes and it still took another 15 minutes to come; We could have done our shopping in that time and we missed our son and daughter in law visiting by the time we got home.

Value for money and good service by friendly staff

The shopping is great but the restaurant lets it down so many times asking for the quiche only to be told its not available, if that is always the case then take it off the menu.

Big breakfast was too much on the plate!

Only had a cup of tea and scone,asked for fresk milk rather than the little portions and was told to have those but said i didnt like them and he didnt wanrt to give the milk

Lovey restaurant with great value food but the restaurant only has 2 highchairs? We needed 2 and 1 was already being used by someone else which made for a very stressful visit trying to keep a very busy 20mo sat on a chair while waiting for food

I often pop in to this cafe after a shop with my mum .The food is ok but I think that's because they are rushed off their feet here.not enough staff .but they work hard to provide you with a good quality meal.The prices are very reasonable to .When the coffee machines are working they are great and serve nice coffee and teas. I think a better range of sandwiches would be an idea .The range of hot food is very good but improvement needs to be made.its a shame that the staff are in such short supply , but they are pleasant and helpful.Great cakes and doughnuts and the tea is always a great cuppa!!! Worth going to ..

My wife and I were horrified to see cat on the menu but we detest the furry buggers so we had seconds, we can heartily recommend the tabby and the spicy sauce was to die for, delicious!

Yes The cafe is well presented and the food is good. However if you want a good selection of Sandwiches, then you need to get there early before dinner. The general shopping experience is good too. Well worth a visit

Great for a cheap breakfast, and tend to use the cafe to set myself up for a day on the beach with the kids, who also enjoy it. Tasty sausage, bacon with all the usual additions. Suggest you avoid the scrambled egg. Tried it once but I don't think fresh eggs were involved at all.

Excellent veggie breakfast and just a minute off the busy dual carriageway

Fodder arrived quickly and hot except for mushy peas that I belive were heated using a microwave and soon go cold or not heated long enough. Seems to be a problem in other Morrisons stores - once had lamb shank that was cold but the rest of the meal was far too hot to eat!

Undercooked bacon overcooked poached eggs , ok for the price .

Reasonable quality at very low prices equals very good value for money.

Try to not use it for food only grab a quick coffee as always take a long time to cook food and always saying it's a 20 mins wait for hot food.

Have waited over 40 minutes for two meals. Then told no hollandaise sauce. Won't do this again!
