my wife and I regularly have 2 eggs on 2 toast, followed by a pot of tea and a hot chocolate, all for £12 . drinks are supplied via a machine, quite often this machine is out of ingredient and tepid only. the eggs and toast fine. the staff work hard, the management all need either a good kicking or sacking. This observation is made from the lack of cleanliness and expecting the cashier to deliver food to the tables, the tables sticky. the staff are shorthanded, if I can see this why cant management. they are either not interested or lazy. this is a shame, it must also be disheartening to the staff. a good client draw being thrown away

Not sure why all the hate for the Morrisons cafe. Went there for an important business luncheon and couldn’t have been happier with our fish and chips, brought to us by the lovely Louise. Had some great bottomless teas between us, and while the sponge puddings were all out of stock, the kind cashier let us have our vegan, non-gluten mince pies for free. They were pretty disgusting, but that’s not the point - they were free! Thanks, Louise and the team. We may even come back for a company away day in due course.

We took the whole family there for brunch. £24 plus in total. It was utter rubbish. We just could not eat it as it tasted so bad. Processed food. Even the kids could not eat the Pizza. It was dry and tasteless. I had full breakfast and chips and could not eat it it was terrible really bad. We could not wait to leave. Do not try Anything it terrible. Total waste of money I left hungry . Toilets are two floors up. Nightmare ferrying kids to the loo.

I’m not one to write reviews but after the experience I had, it’s very much needed. I wanted to play a food shop over the phone and pick it up the next day (I’m a last minute person) not sure if I was able to do this so I called the harrow Morrison’s store. First of all the ladies tone was really rude - I went on to ask her if I could make an order and her tone was so rude, she explained that I couldn’t make an order for tomorrow and hung up the phone - HOW RUDE! I didn’t think it was possible to make an order this late but I thought I’d double check as you never know. This is why I don’t shop at Morrison’s.. the people are so rude! KEEP SHOPPING AT TESCO

Although a local supermarket and generally serves the community well my pet frustration remains as I experienced today lack of helpfulness.Today I asked one staff member restocking the chiller section for advise on where I could find seaweed and he could have not been any further uninterested if he tried, the same seen when I took a leaking chilled cappuccino to first a security team member coming out of the rear store room on his phone, he eventually took it from me and tried to hand to a store staff member who did not want to take it, rather pointed him to where he should put it.I do get it that it not an easy job in stores, often one where staff are not rewarded but would appreciate the support, guidance and service you receive in other stores such as Sainsbury’s and Tesco in terms of customer service.

Visited today after food shopping with my friend and they had a sign up saying no hot foot due to a problem so we opted for sandwiches with crisps although we did see people after with chips and things like soup so they didn’t really advise well what was on offer...Ordered to lattes and used the machine both lattes where lukewarm and when I mentioned to staff at till she said there’s nothing they could do so I used initiative and added some hot water from tea machine (although this wasn’t much hotter) The prawn sandwiches had very dry bread and looked like it had only been filled in the middle and the ham ones weren’t much better. I complained to customer service and they said they would be getting someone out to look at machine I said in the meantime you should maybe lower your prices as nearly £2 for a lukewarm coffee is a rip off or at least warn customers as if I’d know I would of gone elsewhere! She did refund me £2 !

Visited on a Saturday and staff rushed off their feet, no forks, no hot water for tea, no coffee, long queues.Came back two days later consistently under staffed lady on till serving tables, we were there at 3pm food choices limited to 4 hot meals and staff closed the cafe at 3.20Used to love coming here as food good value for money but very disappointed on recent visits due to lack of staff. If youre thinking of coming at lunchtime on a Tuesday dont as as all the people attending classes at the Art Centre are in there

Although part of a large chain of public houses, the Moons in Hatch End has kept, its own identity. The friendly, efficient staff, coupled with, good pub grub, at affordable prices, has attracted both young and old patrons, creating a lively, friendly atmosphere. I and my family, highly recommend this pub, which we frequent regularly.

Make no mistake about it, this is a supermarket. Not surprisingly, it has a brisk carry out trade which we availed ourselves of late at night. Our order was provided promptly straight off a shelf as was the pay-at-register bill. Place was bright, clean, tidy and service was prompt. Our choice of food items was exactly what we went there for. Unfortunately, most Tesco are bigger and better.

Found a fly in Salad bar, sweet cornCompared to other pests such as rodents and cockroaches, flies are responsible for causing the highest number of staff illnesses. House flies (along with other species of filth flies) are known to spread a range of harmful diseases. The World Health Organization estimates that house flies are responsible for transmitting at least 65 diseases.

This is my nearest supermarket but tend to avoid it if possible because of the awful refurbishment. They've put all the 'basics' Milk, butter, cheese, joghurts, behind closed fridge doors. When you open them it takes up half the aisle. Bread is right at the back of the supermarket and they ve filled the front aisles with children's clothes. They've put too many spaces to mother/ baby parking ( particularly down the side). And to top all that they've hiked up the prices on most items...... Very very poor.

Looks lovely and so welcome since it's been redone. Came for breakfast, worked out a little expensive and didn't taste as great as we thought. Would have preferred a greasy spoon or good old McDonald's but can't go wrong after a morning shop. Would be good to see more action from the coffee bar though as this would also attract a lot of customers who are just passing and want to grab a drink to go on their way out!

First visit since the revamp of what used to be a nice little cafe. I ordered Eggs Benedict which came on the soggiest muffin imaginable, really nasty. The hollandaise was very vinegary. My friend ordered Lamb Shank which arrived just as I finished my meal, nothing special. Far better food and far better value at the Wetherspoons on the oppositge side of the road

I know it's only a supermarket cafe, but actually the addition of a cheap and cheerful eatery is exactly what was needed in Hatch End, given the amount of mid to high priced restaurants in the area. It's because of this that I'm so bitterly disappointed with my experience today. I want the place to succeed however, so I'm going to write this review as an open letter to the management:

Appalling customer service they really couldn't be bothered to speak to us, smile or even make eye contact. Filthy tables even though not busy, got a glare when we asked a staff member to clean one for us and she said "it is clean!" When clearly it wasnt. Asked for ice in my drink got another glare and was told they have to go "over there to get ice" so clearly no one was going to go all the way of 12 steps to the other side of the restaurant to get me ice for my drink. Depressing grumpy atmosphere..this was like a visit to the twilight zone..do not eat in Hatch End morrisons!

Oh dear, inadequate service, lack of supervision,. very small portions, a general apathy, probable very low pay, tables not cleared. All up I would dismiss the manager, if such a being exists. Great for a quick, or not so quick snack, cheap. but the downsides outweigh the upsides. The only exception upon which everyone agrees the fish and chips, the only saving grace........................... Shame.

We decided to have breakfast here as we had stayed nearby in a lovely hotel, but they were charging a high price for breakfast. We had the small breakfast consisiting of bacon, sausage, beans, hash brown and four slices of bread, really good value and delicious at £3.90 per person, it was a plateful and plenty for a good start to the day, the cafe staff were very friendly and prompt.

Just don't! After a shopping trip with an elderly lady I decided to give her lunch in the cafe. From asking for their salmon with hollandaise (and being told they had run out of hollandaise even though, lets face it, they are in the supermarket and could easily purchase some!) to waiting over 45 mins for the food to appear, and then seeing the order was incorrect the complete experience was a disaster. The manager did her best to resolve by refunding and handing us a £5 voucher but that does not excuse the fact that the staffing levels were so low that they were obviously struggling to cope. Tables were dirty and uncleared, wait time was unacceptable and while I can't comment on the actual taste of the food as we left without eating it as it was not what we had ordered, I can only advise others not to eat here unless you are prepared for a long wait!

I used to go here regularly when I worked nearby, and still visit when in the area. It's a basic supermarket cafe, but I (and my former colleagues) think the fish and chips are great, and only a fiver. Lovely white fish that falls away from the fork in flakes, just as it should. Like a good fish and chip shop only half the price

NO TISSUES EVERYTIME. I don’t know how much money they have saved by not supplying the tissues. This is not the first time, even though you go in person they always avoid giving tissues. it’s common sense that whoever is buying food will need to wipe his/her hands.

It was more synchronicity than accident that the first Wetherspoons emerged from the first year of Thatcher: the rise of this business model walked hand in hand with the gradual erosion of the Working Men’s Club, where subsidised beer was part of the overall energy of what was on offer. Back in the day, men would sit so very loyally in these institutions, often finishing a shift, going straight there to either nurse beer or watch what entertainment on offer. It wasn’t urban myth that women of the seventies and eighties marriages would walk to these clubs and serve their men the dinner there, or come in for a row. The proverbial stay at home wife still exists, though today a far different creature, being kept happy with holidays, cars and home furnishings. This bar has an ignored tourist base: all Wetherspoons now, regardless of geography should be aware of the Arbnb market. But, like all chains, it has no hope of dealing with this energy, preferring instead to deal with the constraints of blanket brand approach. Here, moments away from the most exclusive boy’s school in the country exists a dogged Trinity: heavily pierced and tattooed staff with relationship interconnectivity with staff elsewhere in Harrow bars, gossip with customers that are not too happily married. 2 fiercely compromised gentlemen of note need really badly to hold court: one a compulsive gambler and self appointed Town Cryer/Snitch, the other a coke addict, needing cheap boooze and proximity to a nearby club that facilitates more time away from the missus. Both are guilty of rumour spreading to qualify for Anglo Saxon Village punishment. Further back from the seventies, gossips, snitches and muck spreaders were Cukked: bathed in excrement and shamed. The third aspect to this Trinity is the barring policy of Spoons. Here the really nasty alternative life of a post grad is eased with the power to barr. The town itself has the barring from this bar as a kind of weird Badge of Honor. Everyone who has it in them to give money to this institution has been barred at one time or another. Note that it took a huge amount of effort to have Greene King barr a very irritating individual claiming to be the cousin of Tim Martin. His very best friend sits here whilst others remain barred. Another visit is due. The poor social media (almost), says it all. Wetherspoons has it’s critics but remains a great brand. Reliability, social cohesion and a sense of history are it’s strengths. BUT, it has a tendency to be one thing in the centre of things and another in the suburbs and regions. It need not be so. A visit to The Beaten Docket in Cricklewood is where a traveller will find groups of guys playing cards, backgammon, enjoying each other without a whiff of a chance of one of them stabbing the backs of the league. Centrally located Spoons are a boon. If thinking that this bar represents brand or locale it serves, think again, go instead to the Three Wishes in Pinner or the Spoons in Baker St.
