We just had the worst breakfasts ever, most of it was luke warm to cool, my large breakfast mushrooms were actually cold, the bacon and egg were dripping in oil, the warmest part of it were the beans and they were only warm and the toast was burnt on one side. I sent mine back and waited 10 minutes before I went to the hatch to see where it was and found it sitting underneath the heat lamp, that breakfast was no warmer and still the mushrooms were cold. The reason why we went here was because we got a great breakfast here a few months ago but we won't be back. In their favour service was good from Vinnie before I sent it back.

Visited the cafe to waste time as having car serviced in the garage opposite. Cappuccino was tepid and the air con was on so the whole place was freezing cold. Not somewhere you could sit for any amount of time.

If Vin had been on it would have been much better. Slow inept service. Cups are way past the 1 working coffee machine which serves lukewarm coffee. So you get your coffee out of the machine then queue to be served. By the time you get to your table , your coffee is positively cool . And by the time food arrives , your cup is empty . Can't get another because you have to queue all over again. The place is a shambles and really Morrisons, you should outsource this as a concession coz you cannot run it well at all

I started coming here for breakfasts a few months ago and initially it was excellent. The staff are still brilliant and the food is cheap and hits the spot. I’ve watched wait times increase and staff availability reduce consistently over the last 2 months. It seems management wants to run the cafe on a shoestring budget with just a few members of staff. This has meant 1 hour + waits for customers to get served their orders, no one to tidy away finished plates and no one to wipe tables down. I watched 1 member of staff who is expected to serve people at the till, tidy away plates at tables and serve the food. This is to a room of 20+ seated customers. It’s just not good business and they might be saving some money somewhere but it’s so short sighted. Morrisons, if you’re reducing hours and staff from your cafe to hit targets or because corporate suits tell you they need to squeeze more profit, push back before your customers stop coming to your cafes. There’s better options out there and people only use these cafes because it’s convenient. Once it becomes a consistently terrible experience customers will just go elsewhere.

Great little cafe, cheap and hits the spot. Don’t expect gourmet food or anything like that but it’s spacious clean and has some decent food. I usually come for the all day breakfasts when I need a break from remote working. The staff are friendly and polite, Particularly vinny, he always talks to all the customers and strikes up conversations with anyone. Friendly and professional and a genuine nice person. Real asset to the cafe here, management take note 😜 Update: Lowered scores. Sadly. Don’t know what changed but recently the cafe service went down. I waited 15 mins watching my food sat on the hot plate as a woman in a black suit talked to different cafe staff and people dipped into the back 1 by 1. The number cards from the self service system run out and don’t get replenished so you can’t order from the touchscreen without asking for a card at a till first. Just slower service than it used to be and staff maybe a little burnt out or something. You can use the mobile app if you have a decent signal. Tried to order today but it was so slow I just gave up and left, there was a queue at the till and didn’t fancy waiting. Also the table had dried baked bean juice on it and needed a clean, they fall behind with taking away trays with peoples used plates and cups on. Feel like they are understaffed or something.

We use the store lots and call into the cafe occasionally... Table's not always clean ...the food is hit and miss. Love the people in Chorley...just sad they Morrisons don't make the absolute most of this place. Lift the standards and get people in. Last point " scrambled eggs" now look at the photo and ask yourself is that scrambled...?

Ordered a ultimate breakfast, arrived timely and a seamless ordering process. Granted this isn't a very healthy meal in the first place but even the mushrooms were deep fried, you could taste the oil absorbed into them , in fact everything was deep fried, nope not again.

-5 stars The food was freezing cold for a sunday roast and not even being able to provide half a chicken for the meal and for a substitute you get 2 thin slices of beef. Even when I sent it back I got the same food just nuked in the microwave even then the food was barely warm. There was only the cheap 3 roast potatoes that had anything like a temperature of over 70°C. The food was terrible the gravy came in a pot and i literally drank it straight out of the pot as it was that cold.

Absolute shambles..... Staff dont give a stuff, no customer service what so ever. Coffee machine not working properly and giving latte instead of capuccino when told they said " yeah we know try the other machine. Common sense would be to put a note on the machine. Waited 25 mins for the food but people who ordered after us got their food (yes it was the same foods) no apologies. No fresh milk for the tea, food was ok, apart from the poached egg which was like a hard boiled egg, cold toast. 2 girls stood chatting about a boy not apologising or texting.

Cannot fault the staff for friendliness and professionalism but the condition the cafe was left in was not what I expected from Morrisons. Almost every table was littered with trays full of used plates and cups with no one around to clean them away. Looked to be obviously understaffed with the cashier running around to try and clear up in between serving. Not good enough and if I was a manager over this store I'd be asking myself questions on what can be done better. Again, the cafe staff were fantastic.

I visited the cafe and I must admit the staff female were miserable bordering on rude. I ordered a all day breakfast the food was average not top quality. I had to clear my own table as it was not cleared. The only thing what was good was a young man who was happy sole. I felt like I was dining in a undertakers.

Called in for lunch and ordered a brew and something to eat. The counters were very well stocked and the restaurant was clean. The food in this establishment is a let down. The plate was swimming in grease as to say the food wasn’t drained well enough of oil. Quick things like peas were cold and extremely dried up.

Visited Morrisons Chorley cafe on Sun 23rd oct with my wife and granddaughter had a couple of coffees and a prawn sandwich, my granddaughter opened the sandwich and we thought the mayonnaise didn't look very nice, so my wife went to the till to point this out, the manager happened to be there, she proceeded to be rude to my wife, she then came to our table apparently to be rude to me and my granddaughter, she seemed to think we were looking for some kind of refund. We were simply looking to point out a possable problem. I don't know how this lady got her job but I can confirm that she has zero customer service skills along with a very bad and quite aggressive attitude which does Morrisons no favours at all, as she has ensured my family will never visit that cafe ever again, so we are also unlikely to ever shop at the store ever again.

Dont recommend this cafe at all, decided to get something to eat with my mum and son so i ordered us 2 eggs on 2 toast each from the all day breakfast menu and a kids chicken nugget meal for my little boy. We also got our brews from the machine.... coffee was warm not hot and barely filled my mums cup so i had to share mine. it took around 45 minutes for the food to come out and when it did, the toast was barely cooked, it must have been buttered and sat around for some time as it was chewy when we finally got it also... only the one plate came out despite me asking for 2. i did enquire as to whether or not the second meal would be coming out to which i got the response that i hadnt ordered 2 lots of eggs on toast, i stated that i had indeed asked for 2 to which the reply came that she was not arguing as she did not take my order in the first place, which i found comical as she was quick to pipe up that i hadnt asked for it at all (also I wasnt arguing, i only asked if it was ready) my mum then gave me her 2nd egg on toast. My son got nuggets, chips and beans, the chips seemed over cooked so he didnt eat them and yet another cold meal! Id say less if it was packed or even a little busy but there was hardly anybody in to cook or wait on. Not sure how many people are running this cafe but id have believed there to have been more than enough considering how often staff were just mindlessly chatting in the cafe happily ignoring some of the mess left behind on the tables and floor. Wishing we hadnt wasted our time or money here, will not be returning!

As a family of 4 we were deciding where to eat out and we decided upon the cafe at Morrisons. We were amazed at the large choice of dishes available and at very reasonable prices (much cheaper than the cafe at Tesco's). Me and my partner ordered the half chicken and chips and the kids had the chicken nuggets and chips along with 2 pots of tea and 2 fresh fruit juice. As we walked over to the till we were greeted by a lovely man called Vincent who made us feel very welcome and made the kids laugh with his jokes. We paid and went to our table to wait for the food which didn't take very long at all and was brought over very efficiently by Vincent and said to enjoy our meals (which was a lovely touch). The food was fresh, hot and good portion sizes and could tell the kids were very happy with theirs as they were eating in silence. After we had finished Vincent came over and cleared our plates and asked if we had enjoyed it and we all said yes it was lovely and will definitely come again. So a special mention to Vincent for the great customer service. Well done.

This cafe used to be good. But in he last couple of months, the service and quality have deteriorated. A few weeks ago we waited 30 minutes and a cold breakfast was served. I mentioned this to a member of staff and was given my money back. Today after 35 minutes I went to the hatch to see if our order had been forgotten. I was then told there was a 45 minute wait (ie not at the time of ordering) 20 minutes is reasonable for freshly cooked food. At times there were up to five meals at the hatch waiting up 10 minutes to be taken to tables. Most of the fried eggs looked overcooked with hard yolks. And the bacon was hard and cold. Probably a staffing issue, but we probably won't be going again until the service improves significantly.

Very slow and poor service. Tables not cleared despite staff walking past them. Food took over 40 mins. No milk and sugar available until someone plonked a bag on the counter. People were going to customer services for a refund. The food was good once we got it. It's just a shame about the customer service and staffing issues.

Absolutely flabbergasted today at the price of our order. We are reasonably regular customers in chorley cafe, for two adult meals and drinks it is usually around £15.50, today there is an extremely limited menu available, looks like due to lack of staff as it’s bank holiday. Due to limited choice we had two breakfast barns, which the barns were dry, and two drinks , one which was barely hot, costing £16.69! How on Earth is it more to have these than full meals? When queried I was told it was the right price and cooked professionally. I contacted Morrisons online, they say ‘the cost of living has gone up’, as though we didn’t realise! But still no explanation of price charges of full meals v a barm🤷♀️. I hate leaving negative reviews online, it’s only when I feel I’ve got no joy from a private complaint. But, I’m afraid this ‘cost of living’ also costs your customers not just the supermarket, im disappointed Morrisons haven’t explained why I paid more for a lot less, and don’t like the attitude of it being laughed off in store. Sorry but this isn’t good enough guys!

Waited 40 minutes for the breakfast to finally arrive.. watched it sat on the warmer for 6 minutes before it was delivered. My finger (after being under the freezing air-conditioning) was warmer than the bacon. The toast was still bread and I underdo my toast compared to most people as it is. There was barely anyone in there so not exactly sure what the 'chef' was doing. The hot chocolate was horrible, it was luke warm milk with a hint of coco dust.

Went to order food and was told they didn't have have item I asked for. I then asked if I could look at the menu again to choose something different and was told she didn't have one and they were at the entrance. Very rude woman. Food came stone cold and dried up. Sent one meal back and it took 20 minute to return (however was fresh and hot as it should have have in the first place). Another lady brought it over, who was equally as rude as the woman on the till. Terrible service. No wonder people are choosing other supermarkets in chorley instead of this one. Won't be back for food!

Absolutely abysmal service. Ordered, paid and waited over 40 minutes for a take away breakfast. Only after complaining with many other customers in the same situation did we get a refund. The cook was rude and offered no apologies and the manager had no idea what they were doing. To make it worse they let the youngster on the till to face the angry customers.

45 minutes wait for a toasted tea cake, no fizzy drinks, only 1 coffee machine working and it only had black coffee available. The 3 people next to us ordered 3 breakfasts but only 1 arrived, they waited 15 mins then asked why the remaining 2 hadn't arrived and were informed it was because they'd ordered sausages and they take longer to cook ! The cafe and/or kitchen is being mis-managed . Always dirty tables, always a long wait and never enough staff. Staff deliver food then walk back to the hatch past dirty tables empty handed !

We were hoping for a pleasant meal with our grandson but were bitterly disappointed! The so called ‘brunch’ contained several items that were cold, even the chips were lukewarm, heaven knows how long it was since the meals were cooked, they had not even been kept adequately warm! We were not the only ones to complain, several customers asked for their food to be reheated and at least one table demanded a refund! A lot of food was wasted and a lot of disgruntled people. We won’t be eating there again, a pity as we always used to enjoy the ‘flying start’ in days gone by!

positives, place was spotlessly clean, girl taking order was lovely. quite confused by the fact items were unavailable on the breakfast when the cafe is in a supermarket. waited over half an hour, it looked quite nice but everything apart from the hash brown was stone cold, not even look warm, on both meals. my sister went with her husband 2 days later and they both had scrambled eggs, and again they left theirs as they were stone cold. will sadly definitely not be back, a shame as i do all my shopping at morrisons as its my favourite supermarket.

Food generally good but staff disorganised, some clearly look bored, tables dirty, last time we went they’d attempted a table wipe then left detergent bottle out on a table for the entire time we was there, dangerous to children. It’s not the food, staff need to try a bit harder, I work doing the same job as them, I see a difference that’s all.

Asked if they could make a cheese sandwich for a child as there were none in the chilled unit,but was told no as all sandwiches are pre made before arrival. Eventually a cheese spread sandwich was found. I handed over a cheese and ham toastie to be toasted and am currently still waiting (20 minutes later). I ordered a jacket potato with tuna .Staff member has just been to inform me that they had my order down as number 28 and not 38.....hence the delay... .what a joke.....now just been told after 30 minutes of waiting that there's no tuna. I asked to see the manager, the manager isnt in today, l ask to someone in charge, l am now in receivership of my money back plus £2 extra.Oh and the toastie was dire but daughter ate half as she was starving!!What an absolute joke.....absolutely disgusted!!Intended buying a few groceries from here but will now go to a decent supermarket instead!!!

I had forgotten my visit of three weeks ago when my wife and I tried to have lunch here. Having waited 40 minutes for it to arrive, when finally making an appearance at the table it was both incomplete and cold. Went to Subway.This morning I tried for a cup of tea and a bacon roll, couldn't be easier?The tea was great but basically I made that myself, the butty however was awful. The bacon was cold yet greasy and the roll could have been used as a cricket ball or ice hockey puck. The bottom line is that no one seems to care here. Other Morrisons are fine and indeed this one was both my favourite and closest.More reasons NOT to shop at Morrisons.PS The picture is the sandwich I left, I was going to complain but the place was deserted. No surprise.

Things are in the wrong aisles, why would Nesquik be in the cereals aisle? Why wouldn't cordials be with soft drinks? The prices are random, 165g of L'or coffee costs less than the 100g version. Asda is the better choice for being able to find anything and it's cheaper too.

Asked for a refund after the food arrived stone cold after over 35mins wait - when there were only about eight tables occupied. We could see the food sat on the serving hatch for at least ten minutes. Very limited slow staff, with one particular woman wandering around like she was management but not actually doing anything. Other staff opting to fill sandwich refrigerator rather than get food out from the kitchen, but the kitchen were still keeping up with orders. Very disappointing when service and quality had always been quite good previously. Unlikely I'll return.

Came in today with my dad and I usually wouldn’t complain because I work in food and I know how irritating it can be to get a complaint however, it’s something that needs to be said:(. I came in for my lunch and decided to go for the burger although to my surprise, there was no burgers, no chicken tikka and basically the whole of the menu wasn’t available. I decided to change my mind to the Turkey, stuffing and cranberry roll because it sounded delicious. We waited half an hour and I’ve never seen less effort be put in a turkey barm, even in the busiest hours, I’d never let any food go out like that. 1 stuffing ball and the tiniest dollop of cranberry sauce and scraps of turkey. It’s a shame because I usually enjoy Morrison’s cafe food. The sweet potato fries were also a disappointment being hard in the middle. However, I didn’t complain whilst there because there wouldn’t be anything to switch to because even though there’s a whole shop of food, they had nothing in and we can’t wait half an hour again. The girls working there are lovely though and it’s a shame to complain.

Went today with my wife for a quick lunch. I had noticed that people have complained about ordering on screen. You don't need to! As it' s not far off Christmas I decided to order the Christmas lunch and my wife ordered the scampi and chips.I was pleasently surprised by how clean and welcoming the cafe is. And was more surprised by the varied (including baked potatoes and salads - not just chips as mentioned by other reviewers) menu on a very professional looking folding card. This was also very clean and many more specialised eating establishments could learn from this.My dinner was well presented and contained all the traditional components other than parsnips (thank goodness - I hate them!). The only issue was the mash that tasted as if it was from a packet. Other than that my mesl was well worth the £5.25 I paid for it.My wife's scampi was a good sized portion and well cooked but she would have welcomed a few more chips. Onlly negative comment from me would be that the staff don't seem that motivated and only have one speed.This supermarket cafe is certainly bettter than Tesco and Sainsburys and probably better than Asda.

Just nipped in for brunch, but left feeling very disappointed. Now, you have to order your food on a computer screen, which doesn't always act accordingly. We, as many others of the older generation would rather be welcomed into the cafe by a live human being, who can offer you the options and choice of food, without the fear of us pressing the wrong button on an impersonal screen. ( which is what happened today, and caused a hold-up in the queue, that was growing by the minute).We are not as computer savvy as maybe other people are, and judging by the sympathetic comments behind us, it would appear that the computer screen put a lot of other people off too. We had decided that we would just have a cake and coffee instead. That is until we reached the till, where we heard people ordering hot food!We then decided to order hot food too. (We so wish we hadn't bothered!)After half an hour the breakfasts were delivered, decidedly cool.If that's what we received after half an hours wait, we won't be bothering again.We were there long enough to hear many customer complaints about the computerised ordering system, and the quality and temperature of the food, to think that if Morrisons don't re-think their Chorley cafe set up, their customers will take their custom elsewhere!

We called in on Sunday for a big breakfast and it was terrible, it was just say warm and the quality of sausages and bacon very poor. It's obviously cooked en masse behind the scenes and plated up to suit. My partner sent hers back as the bacon was grey and undercooked unlike the sausages which were dry. Her replacement was also poor and she left it. Mine was edible and I ate it as we had a 150 mile journey and I was hungry but we'd never go back.

The food is cooked en mass and as such is either dried up or hard. There’s very little choice. It’s pretty much chip with something. If you’re out shopping and are desperately hungry then a light snack is probably going to do, but the shop is on,y minutes away from the town centre that offers so much more. The

After an early morning swim I went for breakfast. Ordering the little breakfast at £3.90 and tea st £1.15 I thought it value for money. It was freshly prepared and hot. I would recommend and will be back soon

I often have tea with my granddaughters here before shopping after school. Sandwiches and cooked food rather plain and simple tea and coffee nothing to shout about but children enjoy it could be improved with more thought to provide Earl Grey tea and good grade roast coffee which I get free at Booths supermarket

Lovely service and a delicious meal. Great generous portions. My steak and ale pie had ample quality steak with vege and gravy that I could dip my puff pastry top in. The posh scampi were huge, more like good size Aussie prawns!!

Restaurant has significantly declined compared to past experiences over the years. Musty damp smell as you walk in 3/4 Empty restaurant on what should be the peak time (this in itself isn’t an issue however was not a good indication of things to come). Waited over an hour for food in an empty restaurant despite asking twice where it was. Food arrived cold, burnt and inedible The only reason this got a poor rating over terrible is because the staff were nice. It’s like they accept they know things are awful but it is out of their hands. Didn’t complain about the food as the overall ethos I felt that this was not worth doing as nothing would be acted upon. I only give constructive feedback in person if I feel it’s helpful and will be acted on. This pub feels like the decline is so bad, it’s not worth complaining in person. I’m only posting here so other people don’t waste their time and money. Only restaurant meal we have ordered takeaway to collect on way home whilst our meal is in front of us. We saw the funny side and laughed for 20 minutes about this. We consider this experience a lesson learned, £40 odd quid of education and to never come here again.
