Morrisons Cafe in Gwynedd

Went there with wife after shopping for cup of coffee and something to eat..ordered 2 slices of fried bread (asked for thin or normal sized bread ,but was told only thick bread available..ii found that quite amazing for a supermarket ) wife had bowl of chips which were almost cold and looked anything but appetizing ....the fried bread was absolutely dripping(excuse the pun) with grease,so much so that picking a piece up left me with grease running down my wrist ..neither of us ate what we ordered to put it mildly it was just pigslop and thats being kind...dirty cups ,uncleared tables didnt help. if theres a worse cafe around i sincerely hope i dont find it.....-10 out of 10

This cafe should never be allowed to operate staff with no catering experience tables dirty service almost non existent. This is Sunday so my wife decided to have Sunday lunch off the menu I decided because I have a stent fitted due to cancer and can only eat soft foods so decided to have jacket potatoe with tuna mayo but were then told sorry we have no Sunday lunch or jacket potatoe as we have no stock ?!!!!! For goodness sake we are in a Morrisons supermarket with that much veg and meat and there cafe has no stock. So my wife had to have fish and chips I then ordered the only other on the menu I could eat which was soup which had to go back as it was almost congealed and replaced with a fresh bowl which was ok. The sad thing is I have heard lots of people complain since but the management do nothing perhaps they need replacing as well. A good catering person and some good staff and it could be a thriving cafe making good money. Shame on you Morrisons

All day vegetarian breakfast excellent as usual. The inclusion of an avocado is always a pleasant surprise. I could eat it all day! The staff are consistently so friendly and helpful. Can't believe the negative reviews, as it's becoming a "go to" destination if we're not in the town centre itself. Diolch yn fawr iawn i bawb.

Very disappointed when we popped in for breakfast earlier today before travelling back to Bristol. Hot drinks - very limited options as the coffee/ hot chocolate machine not working. I was ok with tea but my wife cannot drink tea/ coffee due to historical dietary condition……I’ll have any orange juice then please…….no you won’t there isn’t any…….come on get the basics right please!!! I just wanted some beans on toast……wow that was the smallest amount of baked beans you can imagine…….and all served by the most miserable and least customer friendly member of staff you can imagine. We quickly ate up and jumped in the car……

Cafe took 20mins to make a breakfast despite it being half empty. Bothe the croissants and donuts I bought have best before dates of today! Very bad customer experience

Recently went to this morrisons for a breakfast, my advice is don't bother, as soon as we arrived the cafe staff seemed too busy chit chatting to each other which also included a home delivery staff member, 5 in total, in a relatively small cafe, once we ordered our food i was further disappointed with the wait we endured, due to them chit chatting still.. once the food arrived it was clear the food was cooked to fast & hot, bacon solid, hash browns solid, and stillall the staff were too busy chit chatting between themselves, not good Morrisons, definitely won't be stopping by this store again on our travels...

We happened across this cafe while shopping at the supermarket. Vegan choices were clearly marked (there were several) and the ‘build your own’ breakfast also made it easy to create whatever suited us. I had the full vegan brekky, which was only £5.99, with everything I could want including a huge mound of smashed avo. My daughter had a baked potato with beans. My only criticism was that the manual coffee machine was out of order so I couldn’t get a coffee with plant milk. Apparently there was an automatic one that could have given me a dairy coffee. Basic food but good and plentiful.

Simple honest fayre piping hot all day breakfast just the ticket. Does what it says on the tin Bacon sausages egg hash browns baked beans field mushroom toast 6.99 each had pot of tea only downer it was like nats pee plain water has more colour. Come on Morrisons’s don’t use cheap tea bags get your act together

Here are the positive things: 1) Lovely view of the sea 2) Meal deal is excellent for vegetarians 3) Deli is great 4) Bakery smells excellent. Can’t walk past without having a good nose at the goodies. 5) Cafe’s great. Plenty of variety. Unfortunately there were a few negative things as well: 1) PLEASE put air freshener in the toilets and clean them more often!!! 2) Some staff could do with cheering up!

We called today Saturday the 3rd October 2020, the service was absolutely shocking, I did the track and trace on the nhs app the lady serving had no idea what it was I'd done and said she would have to call someone over I said it's the nhs app ,to which she pointed at a paper version which I said that's fine I'll fill that in to ,no tables were cleaned in between services absolutely shocking will not be going back clueless absolutely clueless and rude

We were a group of 10 visiting Caernarfon for a few days and ate breakfast there every day Tuesday to Friday, the food was superb and well cooked, nothing fancy just plain English breakfast. The ladies who cooked served and cleaned tables etc were brilliant, we were made so welcome every day and nothing was too much trouble for them. Thank you ladies for a very pleasant start to the day. Hope to see you all again next September.

One of the first breakfast customers on the first day of this scheme. Morrisons cafe is always great value and the discount was an added bonus. The only tiny gripe that I have was the lady on the till who was weraing a face covering and a visor, got a bit shirty with me because I couldnt hear what she was saying through them both - she probably realised after the next couple of customers that it was her and not us that had an issue.

Took my family into Morrisons cafe in Caernarfon 1130am for 2 breakfasts for the kids and a tuna jacket potato for me (simple meal enough for a supermarket cafe to handle right? Wrong). First of all it took us 5 mins for a member of staff to acknowledge us as she was talking to a colleague, when we finally got served she asked us whether we were eating and I said yes to which she said in a snotty attitude “it’s going to be a 35min wait for food”.. which is strange as there were only 2 tables sat down eating and both had their food already? Nonetheless I agreed and said we were happy to wait which is you could tell she wasn’t happy about. When I ordered my tuna jacket she laughed at me and said they don’t do them, I pointed out on the menu the option along with other jacket potatoes and she shrugged and said she didn’t know why it was there as there is a supply issue with TUNA and they haven’t had it on the menu for over a year?! We left due to the way she spoke to us, terrible service, unavailability on the menu on basic cafe items. Wouldn’t expect it from morrisons. Sort it out

Dirty trays and cuttlery. The scrumble eggs were horrible had funny texture. It should not be allowed to serve food.

Shocking experience cafe and supermarket! Staff very unproffesional, checkout staff were awful! Stopping transactions to turn around gossiping and even derogarating customers as thry were leaving...

This was a very poor cooked breakfast, everything was overcooked. The bacon had burnt edges, the scrambled egg was too hard, the mushrooms were swimming in oil, stale fried bread. I found a black hair on my plate. I had to look through the mugs to find a clean one. We should have realised it would be overcooked when it took so quick to arrive. Maybe it would be better to arrive at 8am when it opens then the food would be freshly made.

The pictures say it all. A Saturday afternoon busy shop and the staff don’t acknowledge you as they are cleaning up and emptying the fryer. Then when I say are you serving they say yes and carry on. It took over 20 mins to then deliver a breakfast and macaroni cheese. It looked discussing but we were hungry and they weren’t very approachable.

Called here for xmas lunch uch sorry to say slops or what hint of gravy watery sprouts no cranberry sauce no stuffing not evem good enough to call food never again .service crap tables dirty ( if you can find one ) wothout dirty dishes on staff seem to pass diry tables ??

My husband collected two teas and was told there were no cups..waited and eventually decided we did not want cold tea after waiting a good while. The tables were all littered with empty cups Morrison’s cafes are usually very good but thus one was dreadful

Great food at the restaurant and a good place to shop,and a filling station for fuel to your car and other vehicles

Popped in for some lunch after getting some shopping.Rude staff who ignore you and talk over you. Tried to order hot food at the till when another member of staff without even acknowledging me, shouted over her shoulder '30 minutes for hot food, she'll have to wait'. Woman at the till just stared at me, no smile or apologies. We left and had lunch in town. Definitely a local cafe for local people only.

Now I wouldn’t normally review a supermarket cafe because, well, it’s a supermarket cafe but honestly the service today was appalling!

Called in for a snack ended up with all day breakfast brunch and scampi and chips, good value for money and very welcome after a long journey.

With all that lovely food they sell in the shop. It doesn't make it to the cafe. It's just ok when it could be great.

Eggs were hard, harsh browns burnt, bacon was soggy and beans was cold, disgusting. Would rather not eat than getting something like that in front of me!!

I ordered a toast. Took twenty minutes to arrive as they had forgotten my order! It was also very small, burnt around the edges and cold! My husband has stated he saw them leave the food on the counter for at least ten of those twenty minutes. When we arrived, the table was extrememly sticky and hadn’t been cleaned thoroughly. 2 stars - barely.

Been several times over the last 12 months, stayed at premier inn again - but begrudge paying just under £10 for a breakfast at the next door restaurant (that premier say has nothing to do with them...but they can book you in for meals ) !

Good staple fare, with no trimmings. The only trouble is that the place gets full and there is not a lot of room.

Dropped in for a bite whilst waiting for the bus back to Llandudno. Extremely keenly priced considering we had a salmon sandwich and a piece of custard washed down by tea. All under 8 pounds fantastic price. Highly commended.

There only appeared to be 1 member of staff on when we entered the very small restaurant, she was taking orders, delivering food and clearing tables. By the time we left there was another member of staff there. We ordered a breakfast and a sausage bap, the food was just okay, the yolk of the egg was rock solid. As I took the top off my bap to put sauce on it had far too much butter so I scraped the excess off along with a small hair, not what you want in a cafe.

Just visited the cafe on caernarfon Morrison’s. Asked to order food at just before 5pm knowing the cafe closed at 6, but was told they had stopped serving food as she had cleaned to cookers!! Disgraceful service

I feel that I had to write a review as I was a bit put off by the negative comments that I had read about the standard of food & customer service. I am pleased to say that did not experience any of the negativity that I had read about.

It is cheap but the shocking customer service you get at this particular Morrisons café really does let it down. The staff are rude, they are often out of stock of items and you have to wait a long time for your order. I don't get poor service at other locations. It is handy at times but I would try other options in town before settling for this café.

Whilst staying at the nearby Travelodge we decided to visit for breakfast. Very disappointing. No coffee! No orange juice! A pot of tea with no tea-bag! Advised to buy it from the supermarket. Breakfast was ready for ages, sat on the hot plate waiting for the cashier to finish chatting. Asked for brown bread got white! Will not be visiting again!

Actually sitting in cafe now been waiting at the till for about 15 minutes just to get served. Rudest staff I think I have ever encountered shocking.

Popped in here after taking my son and his friend to the hwylfan. It was busy and we were just about to sit down. We were slightly in the way of the waitress for seconds while I seated my baby in a high chair. I told my eldest son to mind himself as she was trying to get past. She abruptly says “excuse me” and under her breath says “Jesus”

Stayed at nearby Premier Inn who wanted £9.50 per person for breakfast. 3 of us so that would have cost £28.50 for just ONE morning. Morrison's cafe, just 2 mins away, offered a selection of different hot breakfasts, the biggest and most expensive of which was only £4.70! We had a Big Breakfast, a Little Breakfast and a Flying Start for less than £12 in total and all were completely satisfied (we also swapped items between us to make our own preferences).. It was a no brainer. We just came to Morrison's cafe for breakfast instead and could fit in two each for the less that the price of one at Premier Inn. There was a 20 minute delay one morning but we weren't in a rush. Staff were friendly and food was really good for the money. Not often you see fried bread as an item these days either. Highly recommend going here if you don't want to pay inflated hotel prices. Plus free parking!!

Despite being extremely busy the ladies in the cafe worked like demons. Very quick at taking our order and serving us a superb breakfast. It was a great delight after going to Galeri first and the waiting staff hadn’t even turned up. The two ladies serving breakfast on the 23rd June deserve a pay rise. Well done ladies you are amazing.

We visit North Wales every year for the Sunset to Sunrise charity motorcycle ride in aid of Macmillan Cancer Care.

Been here twice as a quick breakfast was needed before heading for home to Liverpool.

Called in to this cafe for a tea time snack with my daughter. Nothing that would stretch the cooking ability of the avarage chef or in fact any body who is handy in the kitchen. The choice we opted for was a toasted sandwich and a burger in a bun.

Whilst staying at thr Travelodge just across the road whilst visiting family, we ate here twice. The first time the staff were lovely and friendly & the full English big breakfast was lovely and made fresh for us.

A most enjoyable coffee and sandwich in a relaxing atmosphere at a corner table.

Stopped off here on our way to Pwllheli, knowing that Morrison's do a nice breakfast.

Came for lunch here during the summer holidays. Staff seemed completely clueless. Most of the menu was unavailable and egg with the breakfast was cold😡 The menu looks good and I'd probably try a different Morrisons

3 Welsh women ran this cafe to.petfection this morning, hearty well cooked breakfast at supermarket low prices with fresh bean coffee and fab quirky cafe to sit in. Can't recommend it highly enough

Standard Morrisons breakfast. We had two breakfasts and it set us up for the day. Second visit the florr needed to be cleared of a slippery item.

Turned up to eat at 4:30pm to be told that they didn't have any food left! We left feeling very disappointed, surely they could have gone to pick up some things from shop floor? Won't be visiting again.

Wanted a quick meal having been to many other Morrison cafes thought this would be the same how wrong was I firstly the lady serving me was rude as I found the menu misleading and also as Late in the day not much choice when I asked what was available she walked away and basically ignored me was it because I'm English unsure but when my Caernarvon born partner arrived speaking Welsh asking same questions it was all smiles we ordered our food then had a 35 minute wait would like to say the food was awful but it wasn't but would not eat there again

we stayed at the travelodge just round a corner, Morrisons is a great place to go for shopping, but also for a really nice breakfast freshly made for you, If you want a good fry up instead of a travelodge box breakfast (OK if you like that kind of thing) then Morrisons is the place to go.We consider Morrisons our shop of choice when shopping, but also when we need a meal away from home.

We have been twice this week for breakfast, a big breakfast & a small breakfast a tea & a coffee, very pleasant staff, i was told there was a twenty minute wait, what's twenty minute's nothing, the food was cooked perfectly, we are going tomorrow as well

Had breakfast here while staying at the nearby Premier Inn. The café was super busy, and as it's quite small we were lucky to get the last table. The Full English and bacon sandwiches were very good.

Had breakfast, cooked breakfast was good and hot and served quickly, children had muffins and a fruit salad, the muffins were very dry and the fruit rather tangy. Quick and convenient and the staff who served us seemed friendly.

Having visited in Oct 16 Morrisons cafe in Caernarfon, the member of staff who served us was extremely rude and not very friendly, we gave them the benefit of the doubt and went back Feb 17 to have breakfast and was the same member of staff as on our previous visit and again was rude and unfriendly, the tables were unclean and sticky, cutlery was also dirty. Will not visit again and given the previous reviews it looks like a problem that Morrisons don't wish to address.

Called in en route to our New Years holiday accommodation.Food good but the tables were not very clean and many had crockery etc left on them. We had to clear a space for our food. Obviously a different team on when we returned the 2nd. Jan 8 of us ordered various meals. The staff were really good & helpful. The tables were cleared and clean. This was early afternoon and they were still fairly busy. So well done to the staff on that shift. Even the toilets were clean & up to date on the rota, unlike our visit on the 30th. Dec when they had not been cleaned for a couple of hours.

Me and my Hubby went here at 12.45 p.m. on Monday. It is only a very small cafe on the left hand side as you enter the store. There were a few empty dirty tables. There were 3 visible members of staff. I stood at the counter for over 5 minutes and at no time did any of them acknowledge me. When I finally got to be served, the lady said that there was a 25 minute waiting time. They seemed totally disorganised so we decided to eat elsewhere at nearby McDonalds.

been to a few morrisons in the past, the first time as this one, what a treat, lovely tables and chairs seaside theme, better than some where the chairs are attached to the tables and are sometimes hard to get out off, the staff where very friendly and young staff, one girl serving us what very helpful and polite and apologised for a little delay, the food was very good and piping hot and very reasonably priced, when we are down that way again we will go back, well done to the staff too they are a credit to Morrisons

Plain awful from start to finish. 30 minute wait for no apparent reason, lots of empty tables and they didn't seem very flat out. Service poor not one friendly interaction or even please and thank you. Dirty everywhere and summed up by two people completing what looked like an audit (one in shirt and tie) go into an open food area with no hats. Food wasn't worth the pain but wasn't the worst.

Excellent value for Money With childrens metals casting one pound. All food items are very reasonably priced.

Arrived at 9a.m. in a group of 3 and there were only a couple of people in front of us, The lady at the till did not seem to know how to operate it and service was painfully slow. The two others gave their orders but when it got to me the till froze and I had to wait. They didn't have any granola and yoghurt (this is a supermarket!!) so I asked for toast. I finally got served at 9.40! I had been in the queue so long my coffee went cold. The tables were dirty and had not been cleared and the whole place seemed disorganised.

We were staying at the Travelodge so we called in for breakfast we had to wait over 30minutes before the food arrived it was ok but I have had so much better at other Morrisons cafes the waitress said they were short staffed,you need too sort this out.

This has to be the most miserable store I've ever been to.Not one member of staff smiled or said please or thank you, and the check out staff need to be reminded that no everyone speaks welsh so when a customer says "I don't understand" it's not polite to tut and sigh and then repeat yourself even louder !.

En route to Holyhead for an early ferry, we needed breakfast and found this cafe. The toast was simply divine, hot, buttery and freshly made. The rest of the breakfast was good too but I just had to mention the toast. Have I already said that?

My friend and I had eaten at Table Table over the road the previous day but were unimpressed. We decided to try Morrisons caffi. They didn't have the curry that I initially ordered so my friend and I both ordered the cheese chicken,coleslaw and mash.The mash was powdered and the chicken finished in the microwave but at 2 meals and drinks for £9 it was far better value than the £26 paid to Table Table. The food was supermarket cafe standard but you know what.......it was ok and at £9 for 2 it gets the thumbs up from me

My car wouldn't start so we went for a cuppa whilst waiting for the RAC a great cafe, clean, reasonably priced, with clean high chairs and friendly staff.

Totally and utterly appalled by the hygiene,Lack of it! Dirty floor,food everywhere,filthy tables,and i mean filthy,every table had dirty trays,mugs,&leftovers.Poor girl on her own trying to serve,cook,prepare food.A young man walked in with a clipboard,ignoring the state of the cafe,just continued doing his order! Totally disgusted at Morrisons…YOU NEED MORE STAFF!!! PREFERABLY SOME THAT TAKE PRIDE IN THEIR JOB!

Only had a breakfast here, but it was what I would term a "proper old-school cafe breakfast". Tasty bacon, lovely fat sausages, a dippy egg, beans, tomato, mushroom, and a piece of fried bread that shattered when I put my fork to it - that's what I want in a brekkie! All washed down with a cup of tea, while the staff shouted pleasantly at each other. As a man weaned on Dock Road cafes in Liverpool, it was just what I wanted!

We always eat here when travelling home from our welsh holiday. Although the seating area is tiny, we still manage to enjoy the food. No complaints yet!

This is the most vile place I have ever been to. Giving it 1* was painful for me. We came here for a nice breakfast before going into Llanberis for Snowdon climb thinking as its a Morrison's, the place would be decent. We couldn't have been more wrong. The place was filthy, dirty plates everywhere - the area where food was prepared was covered in rubbish and bits of old food.The staff working here do not wear gloves or hair nets and touch the food whilst handling money and scratching their hair - they also had long nails which I noticed when my refund was given to me - that in itself is a hygiene risk! How can staff handling food be allowed long nails let alone uncovered hands! It's unhygienic and made me feel sick.I will be reporting this to the FSA as this is just not a place that humans (or even animals) should be eating.

Visited the cafe x2 for breakfast this weekend with our grandson ! The service is extremely efficient , food well cooked and served with a smile . In particular a special mention for Dilyes ( not sure if I have spelt her name correctly ) - she is a credit to the company ! She is friendly , helpful and goes the extra mile to make sure customers are satisfied ! Our grandson appreciated her efforts especially !!!!

All your british favourites at a reasonanle price. Better than other supermarket cafes that's for sure. Good service aswell. Their breakfast is very good and reasonably priced.

I don't like shop cafes, but this wasn't bad. Drinks & food were of good quality & everything seemed clean, with plenty of space between tables.

My first impression was marred by having to remove the detritus of the previous diners in order to sit in something resembling civilization. I just moved the mess to an adjacent table.The only reason I gave this review one star is because the girl who cooked my meal did a damn fine job and delivered it hot and very well cooked.The failing is with the management, who clearly fail to employ sufficient staff to keep the tables bussed and the floors swept.There is only so much penny pinching you can do before an eatery becomes a dangerous place to eat.If you have insufficient staff to run a clean operation, just close the cafe.Disgusting!

We are regular uses of Morrison's Café and we visited this one while we were on holiday and we were staying at the Travelodge nearby. The breakfasts were good and so were the sausage and bacon baps. The café is quite small for the size of the actual Morrison's, could be a lot bigger as it is very popular.

We had two breakfast today,and I wish we hadn't,t they were awfulThe egg yolks were burst on both and were over cooked tasted like leather,as for the sausages they had been fried to death in edible.Sent 1back had a refund,cashier just gave us the money but nobody addressed the issue.think their chef needs retraining.also the area was a mess a cleaner was washing walls down with a disinfectant which is not very pleasing when you are trying to have breakfast,but the floors were full of crumbs and straws.Expect more from a store of this standard

We were visiting the Castle and we decided to have a snack at Morrison's Café. My husband had a ham and tomato toastie, it was toasted to perfection,plenty of filling, with a lovely side salad.I had a special deal of a small cheese sandwich and a jam and cream scone with tea for two. it was under £10 for all of this and the staff were extremely friendly, especially a lady called Christine

I am a great fan of Morrisons cafes as I think on the whole the food is decent (breakfasts are excellent) and tasty and the cost is more4 than reasonable. While I have visited this and many other Morrisons cafes Caernarfon's store is by far the worst.To start with the service is very, very poor. The staff are on the whole pretty ignorant and I have often stood at the till while the 2 or 3 staff chat and mess about totally ignoring me and have seen them behave exactly the same with others. It would be ok if they were to say "sorry, will be with you shortly", but they don't they just ignore you and don't even say sorry when they do decide to serve you. This is not a one off experience it happens many times.It is by far the dirtiest Morrisons café. Every time I have visited the majority of the self service trays are dirty as is the cutlery. Also the tables are very infrequently cleared and many times you have to remove the previous diners stuff to another table in order to get a seat.The only redeeming feature is as stated at the beginning of this review. the food, especially the breakfasts, is delicious and cheap.I'm bnow getting to the point where I am going to write to their head office regarding my views on this.

Service was pretty poor - they were pre-occupied with arguing over something to do with their stock. The porridge took quite a while to come, but was brought to the table and was tasty. The tea was good. Fresh whole milk available. Blue lights in the toilets. Watch out for marauding smack-heads.

Met friends here for a meal before doing our shop for our caravan holiday further down the coast.Fantastic value for money,food extremely well presented.Great service and friendly banter from the waitress,(i think her name was Dawn).We will be back,thank you.

Whilst staying at the travelodge on 10th April next morning we headed over to morrisons for a quick breakfast. It was very popular and we got the last table. The staff were very efficient and although we were told approx 20 minute wait it was only 10. We sampled scrambled egg on toast. It was enormous and very nice and left us not wanting any lunch. Even the grandchildren passed on ice cream later in the day because they were still full. Top marks.

My husband and I went here for our breakfast while on holiday. It was lovely and it set us up for the day, we were staying at the Travelodge behind, so was easy to get to. Staff very friendly and the only little complaint that I have is that the cafe isn't very big, but it is a very busy little cafe and am looking forward to going back next year to have the lovely breakfast's.

We decided to pop in here for breakfast after reading another review from our hotel. I asked if they had porridge as not shown and thd friendly girl found out I could have some. Big cooked breakfast for hubby. Small eating area. The cook was not very friendly but overall you got a good value breakfast.

Could not fault it, do not bother with Table, Table restaurant for brekkie....a quick walk across the road into Morrisons supermarket and a lovely cooked breakfast, for a reasonable price awaits you....enough said!!!

We had breakfast here and thought it offered great value. Parking easy, staff friendly and good prices. Easy for those passing through or staying in town.

Stayed at the Premier Inn Caernarfon and didn't want to pay £8 for breakfast! Walked over to Morrisons and got an All day breakfast for £4.55! It was very nice and very large! Couldn't eat another thing all day.

Excellent bakery, cracking Spelt bread, friendly staff always willing to help. Good salad bar, and fishmonger, their Cumberland sausages are to die for.

smaller than average store, in a lovely spot. views of the menai straits form the carpark. very near to the shops too. small café, handy for a quick drink.

Sitting there with my husband and grandchildren waiting for my meal which never arrived. They said I hadn't ordered it but oddly enough I had paid for it. The staff are too interested in chatting amongst themselves. Morrisons in the Bangor store is much better.
