Ate in this establishment about 2 years ago and said never again! Recently thought it can only have got better.....WRONG! Full English, rock hard stone cold fried egg, cold beans, cold hash browns, half a dried up tomato, sausages were cold, but to be fair cold sausages are ok, but not in a fried breakfast! Spreadable Lurpak should have read pourable as it was about the only thing that was hot!

This has to be the worst place I've ever encountered to have a breakfast no wonder it was empty.firstly the staff member we encountered looked like he had been sleeping rough for a month.the coffee was stone cold as was the breakfast.it looked like yesterday's leftovers we left most of it for feat of food poisoning and I left angry,I never address anything when I'm angry.so I contacted Morrison complaints department asking for a full refund.none I would strongly advise anyone from entering and eating should be up for trades discription "freshly cooked warm inviting atmosphere"what a joke.

Went here with my elderly mum yesterday,No idea about allergies at all,the man on the till had no interest in finding me anything because he was on his phone at the same time as talking to me.I know porridge is ok,so asked for that,the reply we haven't had porridge for ages,okay can I have soup without the roll,we haven't had soup for ages,will have a jacket potato then.grunt.(fro him) the smiling lady brought two cold jacket potatoes to our table,which we ate due to time constraint. never again

Three times I’ve been into the Restaurant (??!) this week & on every occasion something was broken/ not working, on two occasions I walked out, but today Saturday on their busiest day it was the Till not working !! So we were all unceremoniously told to order from the self service checkout by some imbecile of a boy with his hair in a top knot who looked like he didn’t have the intelligence to walk and breath at the same time let alone work behind the counter dealing with customers!! Some of these customers were elderly and had never ordered in this way before, but there was no member of staff assisting these people, it was left to the next person in the queue !!, so you imagine the length of the queue !. When I eventually got my breakfast it was ok, but not hot, I couldn’t be bothered to waste any more time by sending it back as the queue was even longer !! Management need to review the practices here as your losing customers although I doubt very much if they care or even read these reviews!!!

Visited the Brew again to see if any improvement and sadly no. The elderly lady serving was all on her own and so slow. The backlog for drinks was ridiculous. Waited about 20 mins. Some people gave up. Lady was cheerful at least bit why is she on her own? Shame because the cakes look nice and it's a nice setting but think ive given up now.

we went to the restaurant/ cafe for a quick bite. the self screen wasnt working, neither was the soft drinks pumps. there was a very limited amout of food the counter fridges. we deiceded on avacado and egg on brown toast. They had run out of avacado and would need to check if there was enough brown bread left. so after the bread was found the be in stock we ordered the egg on brown toast twice, one with butter and one without as im intolerant to milk. also ordered a tea and coffee. we hadnt been there before and didnt realise it was self service, we where waiting for drinks to be brought to us. we then saw other people getting their own drinks. the lady on the till obviously didnt want to be there, she was not informative or helpful, but did tell us they where sort staffed. the food arrived quickly. we started eating, i couldnt figure out if mine was butted or not as it was so greasy. i asked the lady who had cooked it if both orders where buttered and she said yes. great! she apoligised and said her collegue should have told her. she promptly made me another and offered me a milk freeoption. she was very nice, but it again was very greasy. the whole place was very dirty, inparticular the counter and coffee/ tea area, no napkins and some condiments missing. it was not busy at all in there, no excuse for how dirty it was and how can they run out of things next to a morrisons store!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was very unwell the following day and had to take a day unpaid of work.

This is a review for the Brew coffee shop. My friend and I visited this morning. One miserable woman on the counter. Did not acknowledge us at all. She was busy doing other drinks but instead of a cheery ' won't keep you waiting too long' we was completely blanked. Stood there for over 10 minutes. A queue of 3 people behind us. When finally it was our turn there was still no ' sorry for keeping you waiting'. Just a Curt 'yes'. Honestly how depressing. Will not come here again. The Brew needs more staff and cheerful ones at that. What a miserable experience. This assistant should not have a customer facing role. She could curdle milk!!!

I visited this cafe with someone else & very disappointed with the meals we ordered. They were so small for what we paid & only just hot enough to eat. My friend also didnt have all the food that was ordered and when i asked the cook he said that someone else must have put the food on my plate? The menu clearly stated otherwise. Also if your going to order a pot of tea then surely it should have more than 1 tea bag in it? I know it sounds petty and i almost never complain at all but when your one of only four customers (three of which were already "served" ) in a huge cafe you'd expect a much better service instead of all four cooks/staff chatting amongst each other behind the hot plates instead of providing the basic service that they are being paid for. In hind sight i wish i took notice to the lack of customers there in the first place and i hope that management do something about this soon because judging by previous reviews i am far from the only unsatisfied customer.

Went with some friends for a coffee. It was the end of the day and there wasn’t much left but somehow we ended up mentioning it was my birthday. We were served 2 delicious 3 tier platters of fresh sandwiches, cakes, scones, jam, cream, tea, coffee etc. It was beautifully served and the 2 ladies still on duty were so kind. I would never have expected such great service and so nicely presented. Will definitely go again and hope we see the same staff when we go back.

I have been to this cafe before and the food was good. I wanted a cheap brekkie so ordered at the machine. I always ask for a soft egg. The food arrived promptly at the table. As soon as I started eating it was obvious everything was stone cold. I went up to the staff member and asked for the new hot brekkie to be sent out. It arrived and was very nice. Value for money. They should use better quality bread for toast.

Been coming here for years, and always been impressed. Recently the service is slow, orders are wrong, no cups, dirty tables, no cutlery, no sugars. Turned really bad, sometimes 45 minute wait for a wrong order. Cafe is often dirty. A lot of stuff on the menu is unavailable, sometimes the cafe is closed when it should be open. Very disappointed of recent.

Visited today. Ordered food for hubby and 2 kids. We waited 45 minutes for 2 cooked breakfasts, a burger and chips and a child's spaghetti bolognese. The bolognese was piping hot (not good for a 4-year old) and the breakfasts were cold - almost as if they had been sitting on the side for a while. The burger was overcooked. And to make matters worse we were eating with 2 other people. We ordered our food 5 minutes apart. Theirs arrived quickly and so they ate first - it was a shame we couldn't all eat together. Awful food - won't be going back there. It cost about £30 - a lot of money for a family with children.

When out and about for work I needed a wee and stumbled across Morrisons in Hoddesdon. What a lovely clean cafe. The staff were nice and chatty, the restaurant was clean and tidy. I ended up staying for a sneaky breakfast. Well done Morrison's I will be back.

Firstly omelettes had sold out....at 2pm?? Then my eggs and avocado cake with no avocado. Upon challenging the server he blamed the cashier and offered me a sausage instead as no avocados....last time I checked this was a supermarket!! Poached egg was hard boiled. It wasn’t busy, no excuses, just incompetence.

Would definitely NOT recommend this café, saw a member of staff in kitchen area with shoes and socks off attending to her feet!!!!. Watched her touching/rubbing feet and then DID NOT WASH HER HANDS when finished........... could not believe what I saw, absolutely disgusting. OK, may have a problem with feet but at least wash your hands, not only should this be common sense for someone dealing with food but where was the Personal Hygiene aspect of it.Food is well below average.

Waited 3/4 of an hour. My friends all got their food but no sign of mine. Car park time limit getting close. Asked the manager. He found out something was wrong and mentioned something about cooking some fresh eggs! It was smashed avocado on toast with poached eggs. When it came it was nice. They have added more covers recently. As they can’t keep up with service anyway not a particularly wise thing to do. They really do need to get their act together.

My partner and I popped in to the cafe for lunch whilst shopping in Hoddesdon town centre and were really impressed with the prices and the range of food on the menu. The main issue was the wait for food, it took about half an hour for my partners chips to arrive and about a further 10 minutes after that for my soup to be prepared (even though I saw them pop it in the microwave). Once the food was ready it was sat on the hot plate for over 10 minutes with no one taking action to bring it out to us. People were delivering items at such a slow pace I actually had to approach the counter to collect my food. I asked about the delays and the manager said “most of the staff are on lunch” which shows poor organisation. The food was fine, nothing to get excited about but good for a quick lunch. One of the waitresses collecting plates was so bored and tired it looked like she was travelling in slow motion. Only go if you have a lot of time to spare!

We arrived at noon and had to wait ages to pay for a coffee. No tea spoons so had to use a dessert spoon. Once all our friends arrived we queued again for ages to order some food. Fortunately the man at the till was lovely. Everyone was complaining. Where was the manager? Judging by the body language ticking off a member of staff in front of everyone. He would have done better helping out and take her out the back later. Embarrassing to those who heard. Finally got our number and paid. Went to get some cutlery. Only knives and no napkins. Asked a member of staff who said she would "try" and get some. Obviously not confident and no wonder why. Just a few forks bought up and a paper towel roll. I wouldn't even give that to my cat to use. She confirmed they hadn't had napkins for a few days. That's down to bad management. Sat down and eventually a meal was brought up and the number stated. Err, that's my meal but not my number. My friends had the same problem with the right meals but under my number. Bit of luck we were on the same table. The only good things were the meal, a jacket potato with 5-bean chilli and the lovely guy at the till. This is a good location, the food is fine but they really do need better management. I owned a restaurant so I am not talking out of the back of my head. Get your act together or lose your customers. Incidentally, the waiting took a big lump out of our car parking time so had to abandon shopping. Shame as you lost out here.

My sister and me had the cream tea which was quite nice, plenty of choice if you wanted a piece of cake, also a variety of sandwiches, then you can have a cooked meal, was nice but had bit better cooked food, Having said that I would go back

Glad to say the tables were clean. The man at the till was a delight - most friendly and helpful. It is a tad slow in there so perhaps they need a few more staff. I ordered a gammon and have to say it was cooked very nicely as was the egg on top perfect. Their chips could do with being hotter and crisper. The price was very reasonable and at least this time they had some tomato ketchup.

This should be a five star review. I have been coming here on a fairly regular basis since the store opened. My favourite is the eggs benedict. But on my last 2 visits, I have walked out without ordering. On both occasions, I have been been told there is a 45 minute wait for food. The orders have not been big. The first time was 2 bacon rolls. The second, beans on toast and eggs benedict. Neither myself or my husband wanted to wait. I sent a Facebook message to Morrisons, but was given a generic reply and that the store manager would be informed. Surely the store manager knows?? This is such a shame, because we travel from Stevenage, but you have now lost our custom.

This visit was ok. Nothing special but the tables were cleared. One nice man thought we’d waited a little too long for food and offered to chase up but it wasn’t too long. Nice to see he was customer aware and deserved top marks for his nice attitude and care.
