Staff dotted along whole food area , and although only 6 customers in the whole cafe we waited ages to be greeted / served . When ordering chicken ciabattas the man serving us said over his shoulder to a colleague “ any chicken left?” To which she replied yes. I thought an odd question as the bird and baste section had 3 in the rotisserie cooked ?!! We were told by another colleague drinks were in the upright fridge in seating area , but we looked and one Lipton iced tea left ? We explained when ordering and was gestured towards the main supermarket with a “ there’s a whole stacked cabinet out there “!!!! So , we ordered , then wandered across the store to get drinks and took them back to pay . We had limited choice of seating as the cafe was filthy ! And although a staff member came out to bring an elderly gents cutlery , she walked back past the tables with dirty plates on ignoring them all !!! 25 minutes passed and still no food so my partner went and asked .. to which he was told sorry .. table 88 ( our number ) had two breakfasts on it and we thought done ? Turks out that was the order from table 88 hours previous !!!! At this point it was getting farcical! Then we were told no chicken but they would sort it . Then we overheard “ no ciabattas !!!!” Another 10 mins and our food finally arrived. A very warm and friendly lady apologised and offered a free drink / cake because of the mix up . Then we started to eat … at this point only 2 tables had been cleared and NOT wiped ! One elderly couple opposite sat down but wiped their own table . The ciabattas … huge ? But very very dry ? The chicken … clearly a pack from the fridge in store had been grabbed . We ate half but it was too dry . So we left . My partner spoke to the original chap who served us to explain how bad the experience was , but he just shrugged ?!!! We will not be returning again , which is a shame as only 5 minutes from home. Customer service- shocking Food quality - poor Cleanliness - shocking Oh , and as we left we saw packs of ciabattas the same size S ours reduced ! So clearly same as had been used for our dinner !!!!

If I could give this no stars I would ! .........................how many times do you give this place " a chance " ................people complaining and getting refunds continually nothing left most of the time so you queue to pay then sit down and only half your order arrives because they haven't got it ..............no till receipts ..................no serviettes ..............and when you do ask for a refund you then have to queue again and see a surly looking supervisor that makes a song and dance about processing your refund !! a complete waste of everyone's time ...........better to close it and put something else in its place

This was the most awful breakfast ever. The food was so over cooked that you could hardly cut it. Cheap and nasty ingredients. .

This cafe was good in the beginning but is going downhill rapidly. Staff seem to spend most of their time running around like headless chickens. Food and drinks take ages and don't come out in order as last time we were in three peoples food came out b4 us. On last occasion our order came wasn't correct was changed and we had eaten before our drinks even arrived. Waitress walk bk to kitchen after bringing out food walking past tables full of dirty dishes the cafe looks a absolute mess. Often condiments are missing and not offered. On another occasion despite ordering 2 dishes the same we got two completely different meals. Come on Morrisons you have competition and they are putting you to shame

Do yourself a favour don't waste your time or money ! hopeless sent off to table with a number then the cakes arrive then a good 20 mins after you have eaten your cakes you think ..............................did I order a drink ? yes but no sign of it so you then have to queue up for a refund !

Went in at 12-30 for fish and chips and 2coffees told they had used all the fish ok you have a fish counter can’t you get more so went for pies and chips that came out later but they forgot the gravy the chips were cold and tasteless I went to the counter to ask for vinegar was told ,I don’t no have you looked on other tables I said no not my job so was told will have to see if there is any never got it because she never even looked what I bought and paid for was left on the plate it was disgusting even when ordering at counter I had to wait for the two serving why they was having a conversation which a lady they new they was oblivious and could not care less that I was waiting . Won’t be going there again might as well of put the £19 in the bin

Awful. We ordered through the app. Then a miserable worker came over and said ‘you ordered any hot drinks? My screen isn’t working’ she the brought over our drinks and one of them was wrong so had to be changed. She had an attitude. They then brought over 1 meal which was missing some items. Then they had to ask what else was due to come out. Once this had come out the lady bringing over the food seemed like she didn’t really want to be here. The food was not the best I had a breakfast my bacon was as pale as anything and my hash brown was mushy and cold. The chips were advertised as chunky chips but came out hard and just about warm. These were not chunky chips.

I'm a great fan of the cafe here. Used to bring my kids here almost evening Sunday and got to know some of the staff to have a chat to. Food is cheap and their offers make it even better value for money. Shall miss this cafe when they close the supermarket.

We decided going home, to stop at Morrison’s Cafe Centenary Way Little Clacton, we had a very busy morning and refreshments was badly required, so we first check to view was it open? My wife returned to say yes, and so we set off. You have to wait in a area which is frankly very silly, more so if your like me disabled in a power chair, with attached to your chair is a assistance dog, they have placed the start to enter the cafe just where it is narrow ad customer help desk is on your left, and you must wait until a member of staff arrives open the tape which stops you entering. This man who arrived could not been more warmer , he smiled and explained just where he was placing us, but he then on showing us a table, asked would you like water for your dog, that was so outstanding, as so few places ask this. We had our drinks and my wife also got two delicious mince pies , so cheap yet so moorish. After we finished we left for home after enjoying a throughly enjoyable experience.

We only stopped in for hot drinks but the staff were super helpful. There wasn't any vegan milk on offer but one of the staff got some in from the shop and brought a jug to our table. It's the little things.

Been here a few time, food is good. But dont like the way you have to make your own hot drinks. A bit of a wait for food as well.

Stopped here before along drive home on a Sunday morning to have a breakfast. One of the first through the door at 9-40a.m and ordered meal at auto point as que at till already. When the breakfast turned up the Hash Browns were replaced by "chips". Come on Morrisons, a great big shop like this with hundreds of hash browns in the store and you end giving the Cafe customers chips for breakfast, shame on you. The mushrooms were tastless and the supposedly hot water in the machine for the tea wasn't boiling leaving a scum on top of the tea. Not good, most dissapointing, a big store should do much better. Won't be back, worst breakfast for a while.

Probably the Best Fry up I ve ever had 3 sausages,3 beacons 2 fried eggs,2 black puddings,2 tomatoes,2 fried bread,baked beans & mushrooms Luvvly Jubbly

Every week I take my 92 year old mother for lunch. As she has limited mobility we now tend to visit an out of town supermarket for convenience as the town centre of Clacton surprisingly hostile for those with special needs.We visited Morrisons in Little Clacton where the bright clean environment was a real treat There was the usual choice of cafe food which was very reasonably priced. There is a self select/service/pay option which makes life even easier. Well done Morrisons.

Wanted a quick bite so visited after shopping. What a disappointment, food was sub standard. The bread of the bacon sandwich was crisp, had obviously been put under a hot plate to await being taken to table. There were no hash browns available to have with the breakfast, it was brought to the table minus butter for the toast and with egg yolk on the plate that was not from the egg on plate as that yolk was in tact. Chips instead of hash brown were luke warm, bacon fat was uncooked. A total waste of over £9. Will we be visiting again....a big NO.... email now on its way to Morrisons.

I find it unfair that after 3pm you can get two adult meals and two kids meals and 4 drinks for ten pounds.ì had two adult meals two teas cost me 11pounds 50pence.as a pensioner and a regular to the cafe I think there should be a deal for adult meals two drinks two meals 10 pound or something similar.there is nothing wrong with the kids deal but what about pensioners.

We often grocery shop here and just before leaving enjoy brunch. The menu is reasonably priced and the quality of the food is above average. The staff are friendly and maintain a clean and tidy restaurant. The beverages are always a welcome and refreshing end to a heavy shop.

ok you are never going to get 5* cuisine at these places but in my opinion you cant knock the good value offered here.I had the 'big daddy breakfast' ( as a treat!) and wow it was big.everything you can think of in a cooked breakfast and cooked well.I find the staff freindly and make a real effort to keep it clean.

After shopping stopped for a bite to eat I ordered poached eggs on toast which were hard I sent them back they came back hard again so I opted for a fried egg. The new ordering service is pretty slow and it’s difficult to order single dishes such as poached eggs I ended up with a small breakfast which wasn’t very appetising. Morrison’s usually are good so perhaps they were having an off day

Needed a quick lunch before shopping and decided to kil two birds with stone

very helpful staff plenty of items on the shelfes came away with every thing we needed so i nice big trolly full

The restaurant here is very clean, good value for money, friendly staff would eat here again without hesitation

Nothing much to recommend this place.

Have tried both breakfast and Sunday lunch there. Really lovely every time we go. Give it a try, we both loved it.

The beakfast is great, there is a large variety of items to choose from and it all is bought to your table when freshly cooked.

The veggie curry is not vegan so my only options were sweet pot fries and onion rings. Could have had normal chips. So 3 options. I think they do jackets with beans but I hate beans and who wants a jacket without no (vegan) butter and (vegan) cheese?!

its ok and not too expensive and good value after 3 p.m. as kids eat for free if an adult buys a meal. Some meals are very good but others are poor.

Went for a breakfast, which looked Scrumptious!! Unfortunately the only hot thing on the plate was the egg, everything else was tepid, I could not eat it but had eaten enough that later on in the day I was terribly sick.

Morrison's food is always good value for money. Good service, clean and staff are friendly. Little Clacton is particular nice the store is very popular on Sundays.

The ultimate breakfast was fantastic swap the fried bread for an extra round of toast, great value at £6.50, £8 with a coffee on top. Service was fast, efficient and friendly. Graham on the till was very professional.

The restaurant was practilly empty. Waited nearly 30 minutes for our order. It came out cold, barley warm. We were lucky enough to sit in view of the kitchen. Our order was on the warming shelf for about 10 minutes before they added an egg an brought it to us.

Really good food and choice at this cafe. Prices really reasonable. Eaten here three times now. Treied the steak and ale pie, lamb shank and hunters chicken. All excellent. Quick service. Low prices. All dishes were £5.50. Wow. Where else can you get lamb shank for that price! Do try it. I'm going back next week for their Christmas dinner. Yum!

We visited the store café on Sunday after shopping at Morrisons. Despite it being only 12.45 the staff said several popular items on the menu were unavailable. The prices are reasonable and the staff are hard working, courteous and friendly but they appeared overwhelmed with the number of customers. We persevered and waited in the fifteen minute queue to the pay point. We were told there was only four roast beef meals left and my wife and I ordered two beef lunches. We were advised there would be a half hour delay for the meal, which we accepted. After an hour we complained and the waitress offered a free cup of coffee to compensate. The meals eventually arrived but It looked as if the items on the plate had been reduced and eked out to make everything go further. More to the point the food was barely warm with some items actually cold, presumably where the meals had been standing for a long time before serving. We were going to complain but we considered there were so many other people visibly complaining and so much chaos and disorder with the kitchen and waiting staff that we would put up with the offering as best we could. We ate a small proportion of the food and left. This is only a low cost supermarket café but the visit was very disappointing and not recommended.

Do my week's shopping early on a Monday morning and have breakfast here. Not as good as it used to be. Often have to go looking for someone to serve you since they cut the staffing down. Food not as good as it used to be either. Staff friendly though.

After shopping if your feeling a bit puckish its very handy, mostly traditional British grub and good value for money, its fine for what it is, usually we come here after our lunch time shop.

A really good shop, with lovely helpful staff. Always a good deal on. Free trolleys no pound needed.

A well run supermarket "add-on" restaurant . Inexpensive, wholesome food. Not posh nosh but still tasty. Service can be a bit slow when busy, but overall OK

an average supermarket that has plenty of parking space and sells a variety of foods and drinks, not as big as other supermarkets i have been to but does the job

had breakfast food here, not bad, just typical cafe stuff even if it is in a retailers shop, wanted to try it and compare it to Tesco, no real difference, same food, roughly same prices, just a different shop lol, it was more than 2 years ago when i visited, but august 2016 is the earliest date available to select

Ordered the Big Breakfast and was cooked fresh but the bacon was borderline raw, Sausage was poor quality. Mushrooms tasted boiled, Fried bread was over dry and buttered toast was awful,Its a shame as there food was ok but it must be cheaper to serve almost raw bacon and cheap sausages and mass produced fried bread that flys off the plate as you cut into it, Another cost cutting breakfast. Never again

Fish and chips for £5 with a pudding for a £1. Excellent value and top quality fish. Other meals we had were panini and cream tea all top quality and excellent price.

It's hard to know where to begin with this review as it's been terrible for quite some time, but this is the first time I've seen them on TA, so here goes!

Decided to have breakfast prior to shopping with my daughter. Cafe is clean, bright and nicely laid out. Meals came within a reasonable time. Quantity was good but the food, or rather the cooking of, could be improved. I assumed that restaurant food was griddled or grilled these days but I must be wrong as the mushrooms were swimming in oil and not pleasant, whereas the fat on the bacon was almost raw and was inedible. The other items in this breakfast were passable but I wouldn't return to eat there again.

Popped into the cafe after doing the weekly shop and the food was revolting, my wife had more than one hair in her meal and my food tasted like it had been under hot hold for hours. The food here used to be good before they had there refurbishment. Avoid avoid avoid

Really you can't beat Morrisons for breakfast. Great value and great food. Staff are always friendly and nice surroundings since the refurb.

As they are short of staff we had to wait for everything from waiting to order to asking what goes with what as it is not clear a d the only person to ask didn't know but was very welcoming.the food was cold the toast was cold so all said and done I will not be having breakfast here again

The store has recently undergone a revamp, whicjh includes their restaurant, This is now bright and airy and an improvement on how it used to be. It now has a lounge area with easy chairs if you would just like a tea or coffee. And has special baby food warming facilities.

Morrison's have had a revamp of its Restaurant very good one now seating has been made far more easier and it looked so refreshing bright welcoming.

I have visited various times but did not have Trip Advisor Good varied menu,very competitive prices I called in today and had lamb shank,mash and peas. £5.00.Plenty of seating.Tables clean.Lockable compartments available whilst eating for shopping trolly Good value for money

It was Sunday morning around 11am and myself and partner fancied breakfast out rather than mess around at home.I dont mind Morrisons as a superstore so thought it would be a nice breakfast, how wrong was I !!!!!!!!!!!!!! Worst bit of judgement since the Toby carvery at Stanway two weeks previous........

Normally have breakfast here on a Monday morning after doing my weeks shopping. Very good value but the speed of service has gone down a lot recently. Maybe it is because I always go very early in the morning but it used to be better.

I assume the carrot waved to get you to shop there is the breakfast, superb value, half the price of elsewhere, but and a big but, the waiting time and queuing is terrible so only give it 4stars

Shopping can be hard but why not after relax and enjoy a good size meal cheap great range plenty of choice F you got a Defence Discount Card you get discount on what you buy

Able to stock up on bits and pieces for our stay; and great to have cafe on site to have a nice lunch in.

Re-discovered Morissons and now do my main shopping here once a week. Usually come early on a Monday morning and have a breakfast. Good service, good choice of breakfasts and very reasonably priced. Nice seating area.

Breakfast in morrison's is very good value it can be quite busy but that is a sign of its popularity. Other meals are equally good value, service is ok.

Usually have breakfast here once a week after shopping. Good value for money and a good choice of food. Best time early mornings when it is quiet.

Very wide choice from a nice sandwich right through to main meals you can really relax enjoy get back your steam the staff are very helpful.
