The long term problems with Morrisons cafe can’t be more obvious. Just read the reviews. Those in charge at Morrisons clearly ignore what’s said in the reviews though because they couldn’t care less about their customers or their staff. If they did care they would have sorted these very obvious problems out by now and they wouldn’t have allowed them to continue for years. I’ll put the message in simple terms…..YOU DON’T HAVE ENOUGH STAFF! How many times do customers have to clear away the plates and dishes of the previous customer before they can sit down? How many times do customers have to wipe down their own tables? Last week there were 10 tables with dirty plates and bowls! How many times do we have to wait in a queue whilst the person working at the till is having to re-stock shelves or is taking food to tables? How many jobs are your staff expected to do? How many times do we have to be told that there’s a 30 minute waiting time for hot food when the cafe is three quarters empty! Today we were told that there was an hour wait on hot food! An hour to get beans on toast! So we decided to get cold sandwiches from the counter but no, they hadn’t any. Despite the exact same sandwiches being on sale 20 yards away in the store. MORRISONS COULDN’T CARE LESS ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS OR THEIR STAFF.

How long does it take to cook egg on toast,hopeless service,rip off usual greedy money grabbing prices..!! !! Hardly any staff to save even more ££...spread your own toast,to make another order up..am we idiots..? next thing you have to start cooking your own..it's a treat for some people to eat out these days with cost of living,but you definitely don't get spoilt when you eat at this place..!

Decided to drop in here while waiting for the other half to get back from the hairdressers. We stopped coming in here despite shopping every week in the supermarket because basically it was rubbish. I joined the queue to order behind the one customer already there. She paid and walked away, as did the server !!. I couldnt believe it, no “sorry - I’ll just be a minute”, nothing !. I could hear them all chatting inside the kitchen area and after what seemed like an age (probably 2-3 minutes) she returned and asked “yes ?”. The breakfast was extremely poor when it arrived, the service is appalling. Morrisons are going right down a dark and smelly tube. Avoid….

Although I try not to use this café I try it occasionally because it’s convenient when shopping and I’m always curious to see if there will ever be any improvement on the issue of this cafe being permanently understaffed. So……any improvement? Of course not. I wanted egg on toast and was told that there was a 45 minute wait for food! In a cafe that was around a third full (if that) There were at least 8 tables with the the plates from the last customer still there. Whilst in a queue waiting to order the girl on the till had to leave her station (and the waiting queue) to go into the kitchen to re-stock the cutlery! 10 minutes later she was waiting at tables! Morrison’s have been like this for years. They just don’t care about their customers or their staff. No improvements are ever made. Avoid this café unless you are utterly desperate. Morrison's as a company should be ashamed of themselves

Nothing ever changes in Morrison’s Café as the company continues to treat their customers with little short of contempt. Year after year we get exactly the same issues and everyone can see what they are but nothing is ever done. I recently returned to the café wondering if things ‘might’ have improved. No chance. Entering the café I noticed 3 of the same old problems straight away. 1) Of the approximately 50 tables, 13 still had leftover food on them. We wanted a table by the window so we had to do our own cleaning (this is a regular thing here) 2) Despite there being 4 people in the queue there was no one at the till. We had to wait 7 minutes before one of the staff, who was serving food, finished what she was doing and attended to the customers. 3) Despite the fact that the Café was barely a third full we were informed that there was a 20 minute waiting time (I once saw a woman in Mortison’s wait 35 minutes for 2 slices of toast!) So if the Café had been full would we have had an hours wait? This wasn’t a case of Staff being off sick or any kind of temporary issue. This is permanent. Morrison’s café operates permanently understaffed and they do it because they just don’t care how much inconvenience customers put up with. They don’t care that you end up clearing your own table, or that you wait ludicrous amounts of time for the simplest of meals/snacks. I know that I’m wasting my time mentioning any of this because Mortison’s haven’t improved things over the last 5 years so why would they suddenly start caring about there customers now? There’s nothing wrong with the food here by the way, although I’d question the menu choices and the staff are friendly, helpful and hardworking. There just aren’t enough of them. If you’re looking for a well organised, efficient café……. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE.

Decided to go for breakfast this morning. My husband sat down and gave me a table number while I ordered food. Sadly, when I sat down the table wasn’t very clean, the Perspex around the booth had finger prints all over it and under the table was very sticky. To think that we have just come through a pandemic the place should be spotless Breakfast wasn’t bad but won’t be visiting again

Ordered lasagne and as you can see from photo it was floating with oil yukkk. I have never had a perfect meal at Wednesbury branch but was hoping things might improve, unfortunately worst meal ever. My husbands meal of Southern fried chicken wasn't much better.

After the enforced shutdown I wondered if Morrison’s would listen to their critics and make improvements (to the chronic staff shortage for example) so I had my hopes? Are there any improvements…….drumroll………no! Entering the cafe we saw only 6 tables occupied yet we still saw 7 tables full of the remains of previous meals. We still saw the same member of staff serving at the till and then dashing around cleaning tables. Morrison’s simply refuse to staff the cafe sufficiently. This is not a criticism of the staff by the way. They are polite, friendly, hard working and helpful. It’s Morrison’s as a company which is always at fault. Their new menu show their disregard for their customers. Whenever I’ve used the cafe a significant proportion of the customers are older people (60+) and as we know older people tend to prefer more traditional English food. The traditional roast lunch has gone. Sausage and mash has gone. The smaller English breakfast has gone. The chicken breast has gone. Basically most of the foods that older people would select in favour of modern/trendier foods (plus more Vegan/Vegetarian foods) so that it’s now s struggle to find something to eat for older people. Morrison’s ethos appears to be ‘well were convenient and older people have nowhere else to go so we have them.’ Customer service means nothing. Everything done is for the convenience of Morrison’s and not for its customers (and certainly not for its older ones.) The staff are excellent, the quality of food is good, the menu is poor and inappropriate, the staffing levels are permanently short, housekeeping is poor (due to staffing levels) …..oh and it looks like the prices have gone up. Thanks Morrison’s. If there was a cafe even remotely close to Morrison’s no one would use this cafe. Do Morrison’s care? Of course they don’t.

Totally disgusted today how lady was spoken to in the self service area by man who was collecting baskets. She had not even scanned all her items when he came to take her basket away. She told him she hadn't finished yet and he told her to hurry up. She did give him a few choice words but this was overhead by other staff.

So we thought we would try the cafe at local Morrisons as part of this eat out to help out thing, well that was a huge mistake! Ordering was quick and easy but then sat at table no cutlery had to go ask for it, which was then brought over in woman’s bear hands (covid19?) and was dirty anyway, then received our breakfasts but had to then go up and dado where our toast was that had paid for, that come over halfway though our food which at best I would give a dog! The bacon was dripping in oil was burnt to a crisp and totally uneatable, the scrambled egg looked like it had been sat all week again couldn’t eat! The chips were still hard in the centre the only thing half decent was the beans and sausage will not be going again even at half price I felt ripped off! And still as hungry as when I went in!

Went to the cafe for lunch with my nan who has dementia. We only came here because the Bilston one was closed because of a technical issue. There’s no signs when you come in on what to do (eg. Whether to find yourself a table or wait for someone to tell you where to go).The queue lines up in a cramped area of right next to tables where people can sit and eat. So dumb.No one enforcing any rules what so ever. I’m not asking staff to have to tell people to wear masks but at the cafe in Bilston the staff meet you at the door in the ‘in’ queue and tell you to use the hand sanitiser, give you a table and then tell you that only one person can come up and order. Simple.Also, there wasn’t even any hand sanitiser left here at the wednesbury one. So imcompetent.It was packed in there too with big families all over the place. All the tables were close together with the only thing separating them was plastic screens.Not protected from COVID at all. If I get it I know where from.Absolutely trash at Morrison’s Wednesbury Cafe.

Love this shop and all the staff are lovely apart from the one trolley guy. Had a rant at me again the other day because I took the trolley back to the trolley bay and he said I could of brought it back to him because he was standing there. My god the guy is so rude how he says things ! had enough this time I have finally given him the reply he deserves hopefully he will get the message. Had a go at me one day at the bus stop over bus services ? I have no involvement with buses by the way. Yes totally random but he needs to be spoken to by Management as he gives the store a bad name .

Service from the above is appalling. I go there every Wednesday to request a pizza.On each occasion I either had to go to the deli counter to ask if I could have a pizza made up. I then had to wait until they decided that who would make the pizza up.On the 11/12/202 I at approximately 14.45 again I had to go to the deli counter and request if someone could make me up a pizza. I was informed that there was no one available until 17.30 & I haven’t got the time. So it looks like going back to Asda where there no problems with there service.

We asked for two big Daddy breakfasts with Tropicana and was told to get a bottle of cola out of the fridge for some unknown reason. We were given two breakfasts that was smaller than we asked for - to be honest I'm grateful nto this now as I couldn't eat the rubbish they served up. The breakfasts were cold, bacon was undercooked, the B & B was covered in extra thick spread and black toast crumbs, the toast was cold. I didn't want to eat mine because everything I tried was so bad my Husband tried to eat his as hungry and will not complain as for fear of what could happen to the new food provided, but stated it was disgusting. I had to go shopping just to get something to eat despite just wasting £15 on pure rubbish. It's not hard to cook a hot breakfast or something that's edible but quite clearly Morrisons can't manage it I don't know why I tried this place again it hasnt improved and would be better off closed, disgusting

Morrison’s continue to show absolutely no regard for their customers by the way that this cafe is run permanently under-staffed. Management will apologise as if being under-staffed is a one-off or an occasional issue but it’s not. They are permanently under-staffed. Problems are never dealt with.1. What’s wrong with the till system because it appears that every customer has to spend five minutes ordering their meal. Any changes requested often don’t reach the kitchen.2. The person on the till is also responsible for restocking shelves. Why? This can, and does, occur when there’s a long queue. Customers often just walk out. The person on the till shouldn’t have to leave a queue. Serving customers should come first.3. I’ve lost count of the times when customers have been told that there’s a long waiting time for food. Often 45 minutes! But you look around and the cafe is half empty! How long would the waiting time be if the place was full?4. At least 50% of the times you visit the cafe you have to remove trays of food and clean tables before you can sit down. It’s the norm to see 8 or 10 tables with leftover meals still they’re. The most I’ve seen is 12 tables.5. Cutlery often isn’t properly clean because they use a machine.The food here on the whole is good and it’s reasonably priced. The staff are friendly, helpful and are always busy. Too busy in fact because Morrison’s simply refuse to provide enough of them. The person on the till should stay on the till unless there’s no queue. There should be at least one person simply cleaning tables and stocking shelves. I’ve seen staff members come away from the till to serve food then clear a table or two. Will Morrison’s every staff the cafe properly so that customers get a good service? Of course they won’t because they know that their cafe is conveniently placed so people tend to put up with the issues rather than go to a cafe further away. Especially older customers that can’t walk far.10 out of 10 for the staff.2 out of ten for Mortison’s

Although I cannot comment on the food as we only had a tea and a coffee, most unoccupied tables were covered with dirty plates. It was 10.30 on a Tuesday morning and we had to wait for the cups to be restocked, and the milk was out of a bottle, not individual containers - which is probably better for recycling. I did see 5 different members of staff working in the cafe but they didn’t appear to be in a rush to clear up. Even the tray collection stand that customers can use was full. Not very encouraging.

I'm a regular because there's nowhere else local. It's a disgrace. There's never enough staff. As many as 10 tables full of old food. The person at the til has to fill shelves whilst a queue is waiting. You can wait 40 minutes when the place is near empty. This happens every time. There are regularly errors with orders. Today there's a one hour waiting time! Some customers have had refunds and walked out. Nothing ever changes. Avoid like the plague!

Only visited as we popped in to get flowers for cemetery, (flowers no good either). Decided to stay for breakfast, well waste of £15 that was. 2 big breakfast, told the lady at till 2 rounds of brown toast, which she put in as white, so had to tell her again, brown. No milk for the tea, dirty cutlery, waited 50 mins for food, it wasn't even busy! Order came with white toast, only 3 slices, ran out of bread! Hello your cafe in a supermarket!!!! So we were given 1 egg extra!!!! Bacon, well, not bacon, more of a chewy sock! Will not be coming back to this store ever

Been many times.Food is always bland - no seasoning just tastes of oil.Ran out of viniger 3 times, after we ordered fish n chips.Staff friendly but more interested in whats going on outside the cafe.You may well end up waiting at an un-attended till to order - expect 4 min wait.But heres the killer. Tannoy system over the customers heads.It's loud, really loud and the feedback whistle like finger nails down a chalk board !Tables never get cleaned. expect to move the previous persons rubbish before you sit.Sorry to say its my last trip.

We do our shopping here so we normally go in and have a breakfast,although it takes 45 minutes to get it we put up with that and sit patiently,but they never seem to learn or change,after such a long wait you would think it would come out fresh and the right food is that use expecting to much,you can’t blame the staff manning it but you can certainly put the blame right at the door of management wether it’s management at the store in question or right to the top management,maybe you should consider two things at least stop doing food completely or staff your restaurants and nation wide properly,so management in charge of the restaurants for the whole of Morrison’s take a good long look in the mirror and do your job properly or get the sack,and let someone who knows better than you take over,no more breakfast for us from you till big changes are made.

Hadn't been for breakfast for a while as last 2 visits were rubbish so must have been 3 to 4 years. 3 of us went and it had changed, for starters you have self serve, hubby likes his bacon well done so we looked for a person to ask that was our first problem no one on the till. We used self serve and customised each breakfast to our tastes, got our drinks and sat down, I then went back for cutlery but no forks, waited a couple of minutes to see someone but eventually had to go into kitchen entrance to ask, another 5 mins before they brought some. 25 minutes later our meals arrived, mine was the only one that was correct but looked like it had been under a heat lamp for 10 minutes, the beans were dry and the mushrooms were sat in a pool of fat. The lady said we could have a coffee top up as we had been waiting for so long. I went to get them but one machine was not working and the other had 3 ladies stood waiting as that one had run out of milk, I stood for a couple of minutes but no sign of anyone coming so gave up as my breakfast was getting cold and even drier. Hubby had 2 slices of toast cut in half, the last piece was black not just brown but black and funnily enough was put at the bottom.

Well used to LOVE going on a Thursday with my 91 yr old mom hubby and friend but last few weeks noticed the following:- lack of selection of sandwiches, little selection afternoon teas, only ever seen 3 people using the pre order machine, no napkins (using kitchen rolls) no small spoons, milk, cream, mayonnaise, coffee machine overruns. (This is a regular thing) Tables not cleaned away, can not put trays away ourselves in unit because they are full. IF ITS A CASE OF NOT ENOUGH STAFF employ couple more even if it someone just clearing the tables lunch time to allow the other staff to do their jobs. There is a LOVELY LADY called KAREN (don’t know her full name, she used to work on the order desk) nothing too much trouble for her always happy to help even though she always busy.

I waited almost 45 minutes for my vegetarian breakfast to be served. Obvious that they need to hire more staff to meet their customers needs. Also, took 10 minutes for an employee to come to the till so the queue began to build up. I was late back to work due to all of this waiting. Should be much quicker as it’s just a cafe and not a restaurant. Disappointing, but the food was ok but was missing the sausages.

Went in shopping last night at your bescot store. What a joke shelfs empty what do your day staff do. Dates are a joke almost out of date and some foods are damaged and bruised. Lack of staff. When spoken to managers about lack off food on the shelfs their answer was not very straight forward. My shopping experience at bescott was not the usual standards that I have had shopping with morrisons and leaves a lot to be desired.

Went to Morrison’s today. I had shank of lamb with mash and peas and it was disgusting. The gravy was pure FAT , there was a few peas floating in fat my husband had pie and that was almost cold and flavourless. I would never eat here again.

I visited this café last year and would never again. Ordered a white coffee and was charged the price of a cappuccino because apparently its extra if you have a white coffee ? Guy who brought us our meals threw them at us across the table. Have noticed he has been moved back to trolleys again. Bawled across to me one day stand back from the automatic doors, but they never open properly anyway. Try to stay away from Morrisons as the guy is just a joke. Come on Morrisons do something about him.

Just been to here. It was absolutely awful. 20-25 minutes to queue to order at the till with a totally incompetent person imputing what we wanted. Followed by a further 25 minute wait for food only for it to be overdone and cold! Tables full of dirty plates and cutlery. Asked for the table to be wiped and ended up doing it myself. Had a refund and left. Won't be returning. Don't waste your time or money.

What a nightmare. No teapots, only 3 with no teabags, no teaspoons, no little tubs cream but plenty of he milk and the coffee machine ran out of milk. Noticed 15 lots waiting for food. I had sandwich but my mom ordered jacket potatoe. Took 50 mins and a lady who was behind me in the queue only ordered 2 toasts and tomatoes which where tin ones. She waited the same. She went & asked to speak tdo the supervisor. The lady said it was a disgrace and needed sorting to be told SO. Not a very good reply to a customer. The staff were running about like mad so I assume it's lack of staff. Suggest head office sort this out.

As a regular Morrisons customer, the cafe there is an easy option. In addition to kids eating free, the food is actually nice, the toast and breakfast always goes down well. It's just some of the staff, the man who works there is the rudest idiot I have ever met, and despite always checking they have my order correct, IT NEVER COMES OUT RIGHT. How hard could this be, too much time is spent talking, and nothing is ever really clean. There are some nice staff and I guess this makes up for the rest. Also what's the point of having items on the menu that are never in stock, when I go in now I ask what they have got on before I read the menu. Please Morrisons sort this out, this is really giving you a bad name. To end on a positive note the meal deals on a evening are really good value.

Sorry to say worst Morrisons cafe I've been to the quality of food is shocking at me here twice. The first time I got a toasted current tea cake that was undercooked and caked in butter the amount I scraped of was rediculous. The second time I got a breakfast and again the toast was uncooked items of food cold. The tables weren't very clean either. It's a shame as it's been turned into the new concept cafe as has the one I've been to in Stockport. I think the team should have a visit there to see how it should be done.

We went there today at around 3.30pm. The menu board said that there was a free drink when ordering meals costing over £4.50. The first thing I noticed was that the trays were wiped and clean (unlike last time). We had cheese omelette with chips and beans and it was very nicely cooked, and we didn`t have to wait long for it. The waitress was pleasant and polite. There was a good selection of coffees to be had from the machine, and they were indeed free. It was a very pleasant visit - and as a bonus, the rude old man wasnt there today. Result!!

I've eaten in quite a few Morrison's and some of them have been top notch. This one what is happening? If you have bread and butter it comes with black bits from burnt toast fish and chip's what is a delight in other stores is served in dirty fat . Disappointing YES the best Morrison's I've found is Bromsgrove, yes quite far but a world of difference. They do a very good varietied menu but you must really chose your store Bescot is better than Wednesbury.

I went there today with a friend for brunch. It is spacious, pleasantly laid out, with a good variety of comfortable seating, and the decor is modern and pleasing.

Used for many years for weekly takeout so spent many £'s . Usually very good food. Then without NO NOTICE to a loyal customer we Phoned to make order and said closed for refurb on recorded message. Not very good customer service . Phoned since and phoneline just ringing out😔 Disappointed that u've let yourself down. Now having to use another takeaway 🤔 So u have lost a customer and business. Shame as usually reliable and good food. Now learnt under new management don't offer the normal menu as of 08/11 /2023 . Price have probably changed too!! No option to pay via card even on phone order's so cash only !!! (stupid in this day and age especially post COVID ) Person on phone no good After 5+ years using U wont ever be using u again U have lost a customer!!!! UPDATE 25 /05/ 2024 We actually started using U again and U've done it AGAIN . We went to order food for a family takeaway . Guess what CLOSED yet again with NO NOTICE WHATSOEVER . We had food from U last week it wouldn't of taken a lot to inform regular customers that U are going to be CLOSED the following week for whatever reason . Even if just a note attached to delivery . Can't even use discount code!!!! U keep inconveniencing customer's So U will lose trade and customers which is a shame because food is usually good 🤷🤷 UPDATE 24/10/2024 U've done it AGAIN closed with NO NOTICE !!!!! Like I mentioned last time we are regular customers u've closed for no apparent reason. With NO NOTICE !! U should put a note on delivery to say if U intend to be closed ! Or mention to people on phone if phone orders . Or post a note on Tividale valley app for online ordering. It's simple 🤷 but U fail every time

Have used this branch several times, food excellent but tables and toilet disgusting, it really lets the store down, please employ staff that take cleanliness as important as serving, I felt sick with the state of the toilet it looked like it had not been cleaned all week!!!!

We went there as a family and were sat at the back of the restaurant. At the counter was an elderly man and I guess his kids. No interaction from the owner and the kids who were meant to be were non present and paid very little to the customer. The restaurant is very busy with online ordering but they lack professionalism with on site customers. We had to get up three time to go and ask them to hurry up with taking our order, bringing us table water and the list goes on. We ordered the platter of paronthe and some specials. We even ordered some spicy, was there any difference? Well sadly no. They were very slow to come out and then came out separately. Not good when serving 10 people and they all got their food at different times. If they didn’t have non interested kids doing the customer service I feel somewhat things could be better. But there is also an issue with the speed and efficiency of the kitchen and the bland food. I understand that we all have different preferences but when you specifically order something to be spicy, how do you get that wrong? The whole party said that every food item was different in thickness and filling but that they were all bland. There are toilets in the restaurant and some limited parking at the front of the venue. Not worth a second visit unless things improve drastically. But they seem to content with their online business rather on site service. A shame
