Morrison's in Powys

We were at Brecon for the day, so we decided to call in to morrisons cafe for a cuppa and a bite to eat. Unfortunately there was no hot food available due to a problem, nevertheless you could have sandwiches and cakes etc, The wonderful Adam who was behind the counter was so helpful and very kind when I asked if I could purchase some porridge from the store and eat in the cafe, which he said would be fine. Adam was very polite and supplied me with oat milk ( amazing) as a lot of the cafes, Greggs being one of them had "run out" of oat and soya milk earlier. We had our food then realised our parking ticket was due to expire, and I still had my cup of tea to drink.. I asked if I could have a paper cup as I saw some by the coke machine, Adam asked me if I was taking it out, and supped me with a disposable cup for hot drinks , what a lovely, kind person ..A Credit to morrisons .. Thank you again, Adam, for such perfect customer service 👏 🥰

Clean and easy access for a snack, lunch or dinner, the Breakfast was very good and value for money - lots of parking

Overpriced, Bacon liked it was cooked 2 weeks ago, dirty seats, tables and cutlery. My husband scanned the track and trace on entering, was then met with how do i now you did it! Made to feel very uncomfortable

Food was cold doesn't taste of anything you can tell its been kept in heaters for hours vile not worth it at all

Arrived for lunch on Tuesday 27 August. Parking machines not working. Only sandwiches in cafe with brown bread were out of date. Ordered two hot meals and a toasted sandwich that arrived reasonably quickly having been told there was 20 minute wait. Peas were ‘faded’! Sandwich was over cooked and cheese burned around edges - tasteless! Some shelves in supermarket seriously empty and no apologies from manager when asked about tinned salmon. This is not the first time I’ve had this experience in Brecon - needs a big boot!

Called in at Morrison's for a breky while staying locally. I had the Big Breakfast and my wife had the vegetarian version.....all good stuff...tasty, hot and filling....sets you up for the day.....

Hate going to the unmanned checkouts but after myself and two other customers were rudely treated by a member of staff i will use the unmanned checkouts, at least they say thank you.

For the price of two coffees up town you can have fish and chips and a latte after 3pm. Supper value and good food.

lovely cuppa and cake also a full range of food to suit everyone taste. the added bonus you can do the shopping at the sametime

Cheap and nice fish and chips for lunch. Crisp batter and excellent chips. Very good quality for a cafeteria

Excellent Fish & Chips but even more impressed by the patience shown by Kelly on the restaurant cash till, with her treatment of her elder clients. Such patience and caring is a rare commodity in this day & age and I was so impressed I felt I needed her employers to know!

Had a really good breakfast and service for the price . Clean and well managed with a proper pot of tea . You definitely get what it says on the tin , which is rare for me

We ordered Egg Benedict and two other meals of toast. Eggs Benedict although advertised not available because they had no eggs?? A breakfast was ordered instead that was very good. Service good although this place is always busy.Carpark close buy..

This cafe is ok for a quick cup of tea or coffee if you don't mind sitting in amongst dirty tables and plates.

Bien situé au coeur de Brecon et bien pratique pour prendre les sandwichs de la randonnée du jour. Seule surprise, le parking payant. Pas très cher, c'est sûr, mais on ne s'y attendait pas sur un parking de grande surface.

We go nearly on a weekly shop and always enjoy a meal before or after the shop depending on table availability. I had Gammon,Egg,Chips & Peas recently at £5, the staff are friendly and kids eat free after 3pm.

Talented, brilliant, incredible, amazing, show stopping, spectacular, never the same, totally unique, completely not ever been done before. The one-stop shop for a post-night out breakfast. 10/10 would recommend to a friend.

The store itself offers a wide range of hot and cold food to take away. Originally this was a good thing for just £3 you could pick up a hot meal, snack and drink, then the hot meals became separate sometimes. Also the hot meal range was fine but staff don't seem to want to help. I like the wedges and southern fried chicken piece but this now is wedges and a burger, when I asked if I could just have the meat without the bun I was told no it comes with a bun, but it's not glued to the bun, I didn't want to pay less I just didn't want the bun. I don't think this would be a problem elsewhere.

Very clean and nicely decorated coffee shop, staff were lovely and very friendly lovely full English breakfast at a good price

Great value in a remodelled dining area. The food is good value, well cooked and served with a smile.

I have to say the fish in the fish and chips is brilliant. To me, as good as or better than a chip shop as the batter is lighter and always seems freshly cooked. The value with a childs meal and drinks etc. is outstanding. I come here as an occasional treat for convenience as I prefer in general to support independent local premises rather than chains but I sometimes find it very handy and a bargain!

When I first visited the food here was atrocious but the store and Cafe have seriously improved and the food here is fantastic and made with Morrisons own products! Sometimes the food can be a bit cold than you wanted but either way the food tastes fantastic! Very good pricing as well to be fair! :D

Whole store has had a facelift recently the restaurant/café has been opened up and has some outside seating when the weather is good. The food is good for the price and there are plenty of different offers on for various meal preferences, clean, and the staff are friendly.

When is a meal not a meal? Answer, when its a Morrisons breakfast. Any meal at £4.50 and above comes with a free drink.But the catch is that a breakfast here is not classed as a meal. So there you are. Having ordered the top of the range Big Breakfast option, you could expect that indeed a drink would be thrown in. Its a pity that this isnt the case and should be considered by Morrisons. The meal itself was ok but I would not classify it as a big breakfast. It consisted of a half of a slice of fried bread, one small plain sausage, half of a warm tomato, two hash browns, one egg, small portion of mushrooms and beans and finally some very thin rashers of bacon that formed a modest clump. It was a bit of an anticlimax. The contents did match the desription on the menu board but the sparcity and quality of the ingredients was a let down.

Breakfast a little dried out, beans I did not eat at all there were so many mixed colours, where they have been using old and new beans together, you can tell because of the colour and how dry they were. Service not the best you do not expect to stand at the counter for 8 minutes before being served as the staff are running back and forth the kitchen and dishing up the food ignoring the new customers. This is a busy restaurant and should have more staff. I visit very regular not for meals all the time mostly for a pot of tea and scone to sit outside ( this is one bonus seating outside ) On a few occasions I have called for staff to take my money as my tea going cold whilst waiting to pay, they need someone at the paypoint in busy periods at all times.

Look forward to lunch when doing our shop, good selection of meals, Fish,Chips and Mushy Peas for £5 is great also the Sausage, Egg, Chips and Beans great value.
