HAD VEGGIE BREAKFAST TERRIBLE POTATO SCONES BURNT AND HARD, REST OF FOOD COLD ,ALSO TEA GOES COLD QUICK. AVOID THIS CAFE.

I think, were they to come here now, Environmental health would close it down. The counter is grubby, disorganised and unappealing. Utensils on display need washed. A pile of egg shell and bits of egg, piled in a bowl under the hot lamps. The warm area where hot plates of cooked food are placed, prior to being taken to tables, needs cleaned. Only 2 staff on, to cover all functions, cooking, till, clearing tables, washing dishes etc., which is impossible. Therefore almost all tables need cleared and washed, and their are piles of dirty dishes, rubbish, and debris, everywhere. It's utterly disgusting.

Breakfast was absolutely rotten beans and mushrooms were cold the only think that tasted OK was the toast mushrooms were dry like they had been done in the steamer

Ordered breakfast then had to wait ten minutes on my coffee as there was no one manning the coffee bar! The breakfast took half an hour to arrive and was cold and items missing. The poor staff running around in disorganised chaos. The place wasn’t even that busy for a Sunday morning!

Sitting on an adventurous Saturday afternoon, having replied to my pen pals on the “Fans of Extreme Ironing and Fork Bending” website I jumped on my Segway and arrived at Morrisons Cafe, as my mother had given me a little extra pocket money for my 64th birthday which she had left in a fluorescent beige coloured envelope beside our bed. I commenced my way over to the available table which was ,of course, frantically wiped down with my Morrisons Value cleaning wipes, I made the safe but risky choice of selecting a late ‘Brunch’ which consisted of a simpler version of a fry up, as my good fellow friend “Percival” calls it a “ Playful but mysterious little dish” I asked specifically to remove specific items and for the following reasons - - mushrooms as they remind me of the Goomba’s Musrooms on Super Mario - Bacon - favourite TV show Peppa Pig Lamb shank - RIP dolly the sheep, who succumbed to her illness in 2003 Lettuce - was my first pet rabbit (Sibbald’s) go to treat night comfort food Which only really left the side refreshment of a banana milkshake which I was breathtakingly overwhelmed to try, as I took a sip out the straw however, the devastating memory of Harambe the gorilla who also succumbed to his demise in May 2016. I also am certain the banYana was out of date which leads me onto my next statement, I had to scurry to the gentleman’s room and frantically pull down my flared trousers that I have had for over 30+ years, what appeared to become a flock of bats entering the toilet and no lavatory paper for said visitors to the public bathrooms! Friendly, helpful staff. Love the cafes - beautiful crockery, good value, excellent coffee batista. The floristry dept is stunning. Gorgeous location. Bargains. Well cared for.

Staff were rude and food, which was a simple order, seemingly over taxed them and took 40+ minutes for a few bacon roles. Health and safety also subpar. Will never return.

Came in for coffee and toastie waiting good while for toastie when it came it was that flat and hard I complained they went and made other one a bit better coffee was cold by that time very disappointed young boys who was serving was very nice all I could hear them saying to customers sorry about that I will get other one for you 😢

Morrisons in Kirkcaldy have given NHS staff discount throughout the pandemic. The staff are friendly and very helpful. Prices are very competitive and food is good quality. Well done Morrisons.

This restaurant needs to be cleaned and staff require educating in safe food practices. It is disgusting and a total shambles. Due to coronavirus rules my sister and I decided to meet here for coffee as we no longer can visit each other. I fail to see how sitting at a dirty table surrounded by dirty dishes and food debris can be considered a safer environment than at home. I complained to Morrison's and a manager phoned and apologised and then went on to say we should use the new barista bar instead. I am certain that I will not be returning anytime soon.

Thought about breakfast here but lost significant interest when I saw a waitress moving food around the plate with her finger before serving!. Rapid exit

Was here on Sunday morning for some breakie and I must say the service we got was excellent and the food amazing we had to wait abit but then had said to us about that when we arrived and covid was all first class staff couldn't do enough thank you

Let's start with the boy who took our order, Jordan. Extremely rude, pandemic going on and he was close enough to spit on me when he spoke. Was no help when asking questions, had to ask another member of staff for help cause Jordan wasn't interested. Waited on hour on my breakfast, eventually arrived and it was stone cold, hatdlt edible and half my food was missing. Waited a further 20 minutes before having to ask again for my missing food. After being told it was just cooked it was freezing again. Very horrible customer service, get the staff on some training courses because I'll certainly not be back. I'll stick to glenrothes who actually prepare food I can eat and it's actually hot when served.

Asked for table to be cleaned. Indifferent girl came along and considered it wasn't that dirty! You're not at home now girl. Is no one reading these reviews and taking corrective action? Obviously not!

Do not go here! My husband and I went for breakfast this morning. We waited 30 mins for a bacon roll and a small cooked breakfast, when they arrived they were both cold and disgusting. The tables and floor etc were filthy. Won’t be back

I Went in to the morrisons cafe recently to nip in for a quick bite to eat for brunch. Everything was seemingly alright, the tables could have been a bit cleaner but apart from that everything was alright. I had a maple and pecan plait which was very nice and tasty. I would visit again for a cake or a snack.

I don’t normally review supermarkets but today I thought Morrisons was worthy of a review. Is a FORTY minute wait acceptable? Yes really. 40 minutes for a breakfast. Note to Morrison’s management. Fife has a high level of unemployed people, so the solution is, EMPLOY more staff.

Appalling customer service from the chef. Mixed grill was too much like work and came with raw tomatoes. Lots of basic items unavailable,e.g. mushrooms, chicken, poached eggs. Not great unless you want coffee and cake and have absolutely no special dietary needs.

We went in around 3.30pm to get a late lunch/tea. My husband ordered beefburger with bacon (70p extra). It arrived with just the burger/bacon in a poor quality bun and chips. No salad, no onion rings, no coleslaw and chips were cold. I ordered fish and chips with mushy peas. There was virtually no fish in the batter, the batter was chewy and the mushy peas and chips were cold. I think the fish had been sitting for a while before it was served. We checked the menu and the beefburger was supposed to come with salad etc so I decided to complain about that specifically although my meal was awful. In fairness to Morrisons the manager I spoke to gave me a £10 voucher which was appreciated as I do my weekly shop in Morrisons. The reviews of the cafe are very mixed but with 2.5 rating overall I would suggest some work to do at this branch of Morrisons. I have been to Morrisons' cafes before and for the money the food has been fine.

Good for a coffee while shopping or a lunch. Food cooked fresh and plentiful and reasonably priced. Staff friendly and helpful To all Morrison’s cafes are good but this one in Kirkcaldy is one of the best we have tried. Well worth a visit

We always have the Fish,Chips and mushy peas....so tasty and good value.Been going here from first day store opened. The one and only fault I can see is that your politely ask if you can put your dirty dishes on trolley provided ,not difficult .People just get up and leave .Not a big ask unless your disabled.Generally good value Cafe.

Having had the tasty large breakfast on a previous occasion,we plumped for the Fish and chips.It was piping hot and freshly cooked.The staff were friendly.The restaurant and tables and toilets were clean.We will return.

Opted for the big daddy breakfast, firstly because I could give some items to my partner and secondly because I enjoy a challenge, and what a challenge it was. A generous amount of items all nicely served and cooked, I thought maybe paying separate for toast was a bit cheeky however. I was even asked which type of eggs I would like, a nice touch. The only disappoint was that they did not have any haggis or black pudding that morning - not sure what or if they were substituted. Another nice touch was the self serve tea and coffee, I am a fan of tea from a pot, and that extra half a cup feels like your getting value for money. Overall restaurant was clean and the staff were cheery, breakfast was good and a fair price.

This is ideal for a coffee or meal after shopping in store. Staff are friendly and service quick compared to other Morrison cafes we have been to. Quality good and freshly made at reasonable prices.

This is your typical supermarket cafe, if you get the ready made sandwich / kids box options then nonissue really. It’s what you pay for and quick and easy bite to eat.

Coming into the cafe for breakfast, and ordered breakfast, with 1 modified item, beans - normally I wouldn’t be so fussy, but don’t like the sauce over everything. Food came out quick enough, but had beans on it, said to the girl, who was very polite about it, she went back to the kitchen to replace and came out with another plate, with Just bacon and eggs on it, baring in mind I had paid for a ‘big scottish’ she seemed confused as she thought this did come with sausage, anyway, after much deliberation she returned with Just 1 single link sausage, which I accepted because I couldn’t be bothered going back and forward with this, but felt done out of an order. Table next to us also had a problem with their order.

Went in for a few bits and spent an absolute fortune the deals they have are amazing saves you a lot of money in the long run love a bargain x

Great place to eat and cheap and after 3pm kids eat free. I hear people complaining about the staff but the ones i saw were run off there feet. Plenty cooks but not enough waiting staff some are serving tables and taking food out and helping costomers while i have notice others just do 1 job. No wonder the place is dirty at certin times of the day. Sometime people expect too much from a cafe like morrisons it is a cafe after all not a restraunt.

This was a lovely experience , good choice of meals , sandwiches and cakes, staff especially George who greeted us with a smile and helped my disabled mam to her seat, he is an asset to your company...overall a lovely experience...5stars

We decided to have breakfast here prior to doing our shopping, there was no queue so we were served straight away, our order was taken and we were advised that it would be about 15mins which was fine. We helped ourselves to lattes which are now away from the main queue where you pay which is fine, we took it that it was free refills because of this, but cant be too sure. No-one however stopped us getting a free refill. the food we ordered was scrambled eggs on toast and a full breakfast, the scrambled eggs had a funny texture almost like mince and was pretty much tasteless, the toast that came with it was, how can I put it- bread basically! could of been toasted a bit longer to give it colour. The full breakfast was ok the only faults were the tomato wasn't cooked and the fried bread was saturated in grease. The server (Tegan I think) was polite, prompt and well presented. Not the best breakfast we've had but probably wont stop us eating here again.

Husband and I visited the Kirkcaldy store two consecutive weeks and the service/food was shocking both times.

Came here a few days ago for a bowl of chips. It was well priced as the chips were only £1 and they were well cooked and tasty. Would come back soon, and I would recommend coming here for a quick bite to eat.

Good store lots of variety and cafe sells cheap reasonable meals. ATM machine and petrol station cheap petrol

Fuimos para el gran desayuno que incluía la salchicha, huevos, tres lonchas de tocino, frijoles, champiñones, tomate, patata y pan frito - scone todos por sólo £4. 60. Una gran relación calidad-precio y una buena grasientos. Bien preparado, no demasiado grasiento. Sin duda lo recomiendo.

I have been a couple of times this month I had the lamb shank couldn't recommend it more it was so tasty however it was served in a bowl didn't get that I also had the breakfast again really tasty

Sin embargo, la comida era bastante barato y el servicio era bueno para la limpieza sobresaliente que estaban ocupados asegurándose de que las mesas estaban limpias. Ordered two toasted 35 mins ago. Still no sign. It's ridiculous. Not even busy. Had to get money back. Don't go this is not first time

Today we were told we had a 30 mins waiting time, no problem ordered scrambled egg and toast and a cheese toast and 2 slice of toast it took 50 mins to arrive, in which time we witnessed the staff being verbally attacked by unhappy customers, the cafe was understaffed for the amount of shoppers using this facility, so come on Morrisons you have a responsibility to ensure your staff are not targeted in this way, they have a job to do and can't do it without the correct amount of people, would like to see what Morrisons management have to say about this, an unhappy customer.

My husband and I went for the BLACK FRIDAY FISH AND CHIPS OFFER.I was served by a friendly young man.The restaurant was busy that evening due to the special offer.We waited about 10 minutes for our fish and chips.Freshly cooked and piping hot.The restaurant was clean no dirty tables ( no tables with trays, dirty dishes)Maybe after all the BAD reports the staff was changed or received a refreshers training.I cannot complain.I will go back.

Oh my goodness. Am losing the the will to live. Have now been waiting 40 minutes for fish and chips. There is only about 10 people in the entire restaurant. When I asked where my food was 5 minutes ago the lady said she would 'rush it through for me!'. If you have anywhere to go, please, please don't come here as you won't make it there this side of Christmas!

Whent to cafe for a bite to eat as been before to this store for weekly shopping /petrol . And have used the cafe before .On this occasion we decided just to go for somthing to eat .On arriving whent to get mugs for tea and coffee .the all had tide marks on them we tryed 6 mugs . So i asked a young boy in the uniform of Morrisons if could get clean mugs and he just totaly ignored me so i asked him again same response he walk rite past me .I then spoke to the women behind the counter .told her what happened .her reply was he heard u see he has brought clean mugs . She handed me 2 mugs on looking at them they were the same tide marks all round them . I again asked for clean mugs . She looked at the mugs and yes again they were dirty and she still handed them to me . .when i showed her the mugs and again asked for clean ones .yes again they were dirty . So we leaft if they cant clean the mugs rite whats the rest of the hygiene like . Any way when on way out i whent to customers services asked to speak to a manager .told him when he arrived what happened . He said he would check the mugs and speak to the staff as it wasnt acceptable . Well we watched him as he leaft and he dinny go near the cafe .He never even asked for my name and details . No apology from him too . We will not go bk to this store .manners cost nothing and customer service .is there main aim . We ken its a store but we do expect the staff and mangers to be polite .We dont complain on a daily basis like most do Wasnt looking for discount or that just looking for some respect as customers . And clean crockery

Even pigs would be disgusted by this place.Looked like the tables hadn't been cleared all day. Cutlery and plates still had remnants of previous customers food.Customers opposite where I sat also complaining about the state of the place.Really, is this how Morrison's want to portray the place?Waited 25 mins for a simple plate of chips, which upon arrival were nothing spectacular.Complained to cafe manager/ employee, and didn't have much, if any feedback, however they appeared to get cafe employees to begin the clean up process, even if this was too little too late.Absolutely will not be back to the cafe facility here.Good supermarket, sadly let down by lack of care and attention to any sort of customer service.

Visited restaurant around 0945. About 10 customers seated and 2 in queue in front of me. We had obtained our drinks and tried to order hot food only to be told waiting time would be 20 mins as they already had 6 orders?. The 2 men in front of me only wanted toast but answer was the same 20 mins. I asked why there was not a notice re delay or why we were not told prior to dispensing drink. The answer from the person on the till was that customers normally asked for delay time before dispensing drinks. This is not the case and is an absurb statement to make. Walked out and will not use this shop until attitude changes.

Just dropped in as we were in the supermarket and needed a quick lunch before some afternoon appointments. It took an age to get served at the till, even though the queue was pretty short. The food order was wrong, the place was a mess with hardly any clean tables and it took a full 30 minutes for the food to arrive. There was utter confusion and no sense of anyone running the place. The staff were friendly enough, and were a little stressed, probably due to the obvious agitation of many of the customers who also seem to have been waiting for over 30 minutes. One customer actually went and found his order on the hot plate as he was watching it sit there spoiling.I never expected anything fancy, the food was pretty much as I'd expected. Cheap and cheerful... Although the the salad was surprisingly limp considering we are in a supermarket.In the midst of all this chaos, we even witnessed someone walk in and out again after helping themselves to some cutlery.. Nobody seemed to notice or bother and as staff were very thin on the ground never mentioned it. It was an utter shambles, and very surprised at the whole experience. The place was less than about 1/3 full, so couldn't justify that as an explanation for this anarchy.

My husband and I went to morrisons tonight for tea a wee change we thought . I had burger and chips a small roll not a burger bun burger was black chips were overlooked and very dry.best is yet to come my husband chose steak and ale pie . Pie was overcooked really hard chips same as mine but the grave was in a teacup gravy all over side of cup. It was disgusting we will never eat here again it took 30 minutes to come to our table and was not even very hot

Coffee is best if you take it black and add milk yourself. The fried food is fine. The poached eggs are like bullets unless you request them soft. Cakes and sweets are fine. Good prices/

We ate there many times, good place to have a break, a coffee or lunch . Tiny and clean, the food is on the average, not bad and not amazing. Big and good for everybody, average prices. It's in the Morrisons on the frontsea. Friendly personnel. To try.

Whilst I can agree with some reviews that on occasion the tables could be cleared and cleaned more quickly or that the wait for food can be longer than ideal, this is dependant on time of day. What stands out is the value. The fish and chips are always excellent and the meal deal after 3pm means kids eat free or you get two mains and two drinks for £9. Prices for sandwiches, cakes and drinks are substantially lower than most other cafes. We enjoy a visit here to make the supermarket shop more pleasant. It may not be a place for a fancy meal but it is great for a tasty filling feed and can be quite a sociable wee place too.

Usually visit the cafe pre shopping, buy build your own breakfast which is very good. They never seem to have enough staff as tables are needing cleared. Usually 10-15 wait for hot food but that process being g cooked to order.

Popped in for coffee and cakes while out walking, around half the tables where full, a couple of tables where waiting on food as the number markers were visible, there was a queue at the cash point, lady on cash point very distracted by the other member of staff in kitchen and kept telling customers she was very busy, there was 4 staff members none of which looked interested in providing customer service, when we finally were served, we had to look for a table without dirty dishes and then we had to clean the tea spoons before we used them, very disappointing, as I have used the morrisons cafe before and had a good experience.15.11.15,

We waited and waited for our table to be cleaned, and when she turned up the cloth was in a disgusting state we told her please don't bother and left.Also told waiting time was over 20minutes for 2 toasties, shocking so you lost out Morrisons, hubby just left the tea he made on the counter never again

Do you like cold tasteless food? Then go here! Staff couldn't care at all, was cold to sit in, coffee dire - waiting on someone to finish shopping?? Ask for a glass of tap water! Totally over priced for the gash you get!!!!

my husband my self and daughter went to the cafe and order our food told 20 min waiting time payed for order then a member of staff came over and asked if my husband could change his order since they had no more pies left .had to wait another 40 min and food was not hot

We usually buy our stuff at Morrisons. It's a new big supermarket on the kirkcaldy's promenade. It's useful 'cause it's close late in the night. Always offers, the petrol has good prices, convenient, the fidelity card sometimes give you some money voucher to use directly for your shop when you accumulate points. Never too busy, big parking, friendly personnel. Recommended

I took my family here for dinner before doing our shopping. We got two kids meals for free as we had two adult meals. One of my kids had a burger with chips and beans and he loved it, it was a good portion for a child. My older son had the kids macaroni cheese which came with garlic bread. He didn't seem to enjoy the flavour of the pasta. Both kids meals came with a bag of fruit and a drink. Both adult meals were hunter chicken stacks, which was chicken covered with cheese, bacon and bbq sauce, it also came with chips and coleslaw. The chicken was very over cooked, it was dry and so hard that it couldn't be eaten. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. I will be going back to try something else on the menu but only because I shop in Morrisons and it makes it easy.

Been here and won't be back staff need more training.a long wait for their breakfast. Staff to busy talking to each other rather than serving customers.

poor service, don't have half the item on the menu and what they do have you have to weight a long time for and it is not worth the weight never again will I use the place to eat .

We used this supermarket when staying at Pettycur bay caravan site. Good selection, restaurant, butcher, fishmonger etc,only 10 minutes in a car from site.

Went for meal before football at Raith Rovers. Bug crowd. Wide Menu catering for everyone. I had sausage, egg, beans and chips. Great value. Coffee too. Staff were great. Bit of a wait due to big crowd. But efficient and organised. Offered us teas while we waited. Highly recommended.

2 meals for £9 and kids eat free you can't whack it. Service is a bit rubbish (the girl on till usually ok), the person bringing or cooking the food clearly doesn't listen or please themselves. Ordered mushy peas, came with normal peas. When questioned girl said no mushy peas, (it's a supermarket they could of opened a tin) I don't like normal peas so asked her to bring beans. Was informed she would have to take my whole plate (I was concerned about it getting cold), as cannot just bring out beans. No idea why. Actually followed her back to the counter as the look of disgust I got for asking for beans (when really they should have said they didn't have mushy it wasn't a problem) I thought she would spit on it! The fish is delicious. Chips average. Kids meals always good too and you get a drink. Along with some shoppin if need me. Wouldn't come unless I had the kids bit well worth the money.

Could not fault the tea time offer of two meals including tea or coffee for £9 at this store. Yes there was a twenty minute wait but the restaurant was busy and the food was freshly cooked to order.Whilst the meal deal was good value for money, it is worth pointing out that Morrisons was getting value for money from their sole member of staff on duty. Extremely pleasant and helpful when we placed our order. Extremely pleasant when serving our meal, extremely pleasant when clearing nearby tables. Yes ! Morrisons you got your money's worth out of that employee,If she had some assistance then the downside of uncleared tables and there were many, would have made it an even better experience.

Price was good, £4 for 2 teas n scones, a wee bit dry (probably had been taken out of the freezer) but fine wi Jam. It was fine for us as already made up and till wasn't busy. However, felt sorry for a couple who I spoke to before getting our scones, they had ordered breakfast and were still waiting. We were finished and just chatting when the male of the couple politely asked about his breakfast. (must have been about 20 minutes after we got our scones and unsure how long they had been there.) Not sure what reply he got but seemed that the staff couldn't have cared less. They were still there breakfastless when we left but hope they enjoyed it when it did arrive.

The food in the café is bought for the price and the convenience certainly not for the gastronomy, with that in mind I am sure you wont be disappointed. There are some excellent deals to be had on children's meals in the evening when eating with an adult all canteen self serve style.This is a relatively new store therefore still clean and fresh fixtures and fittings.

hot chocolate was tasteless and very watery and tea very weak/rubbish .. cakes were dry, verging on stale - dinny bother!

got one complaint,we went to morrisons allmost every weekend for breakfast and i allways got the meat free breakfast.but now they have stopped doing this even though i was told from staff member that it was most popular breakfast,you can buy the breakfast by ordering every thing seperate but it costs more.well done morrisons for another screw up.

I have been a couple of times to this morrisons cafe it wasnt good the food is tastless, dry and quite obviously all comes in frozen like the majority of morrisons foods across their food counters.What people dont know is that most of morrisons frozen foods and meats come from thailand, so much for good british ingredients.

Been here twice with my boyfriend got 2 bacon rolls! Waited 20 minutes and the bacon was cold! Came back a second time got chips and cheese to take away, heard the girl cooking saying "order please" meaning the food was ready no-one brought it to us till 10 mins later was ready to go up and pick the takeaway up myself! Disgusting! I feel as though the staff have no clue what there doing! Never be back again. The cafe is spoiling it for the shop!

Tried to give this place a chance! Been 3 times now and everytime had been worst than the last!! The staff have not a clue what they are doing and the food is terrible!! arrived here on a sunday morning and we decided to have a light snack with a cup of tea, after queing for 5 minutes and arriving at the cashiers point with our self served pots of tea on our trays, we tried to place an order for 2 x bacon butties only to be told that there was a 20 minute wait for all hot food but it would be delivered to our table when ready, we decided against waiting that length of time as our teas would either be cold or finished by then, there were other disgruntled customers beside us, we left !!

Had dinner with my misses after shoping had the 2 macN' cheese it was good nothing exsiting but it was still good. Good for after shoping food 4 out off 5 for us.

Date of visit:09/12/2013.Time: 12:28pm.Well I thought we would have lunch at the new Morrisons cafe that has just opened, that was the First mistake.I ordered us Two quarter pounder cheese burgers with chips, Two Lattes and Two carrot cakes.So my order for the hot food was ordered at 12:28:35pm and never got to the checkout counter until 12:42:55pm as with all Morrisons cafe's there is only One till to pay.So I eventually get to pay and sit down with the Lattes and Cakes and then waited around 15 minutes for the food to arrive and when it dose the burgers come with the bookmark rubbery cheese slices and the burgers were shrunken and dry as was the burger with only roughly chopped pieces of Onion to wet the rolls.So I took pictures of the burgers and went to customers services to complain to the Manager Dionne Kerr and waited around 10 minutes for a Teenage Duty manager called Andrew to deal with the matter.I told him about My issues and showed Him the photos of the burgers and gave him the opportunity to look at the food on the plates which He declined.I explained that My guest had to eat the chip as He is diabetic and needed the carbohydrates which I think went over His head.He offered Me a refund or gift vouchers I decided to go for vouchers as it was not about the money but more about the rubbish service, so He offered Me a £5.00p voucher until I mentioned that the hot meals cost more than that and was offered £10.00p.I spent £13.58p at the cafe which could have been spent elsewhere on better quality food and service where I don't have to queue for over 12 minutes.And then be fobbed of by a Duty Manager who didn't know how to handle simple complaints.Not a good experience for a First time visit to a new store.
