Morrido Chinese Takeaways in Scarborough

This place is very reasonably priced and some of the best Chinese food I’ve had in the UK. If your not in a rush, it’s worth a bit of a wait.

Got the meal for 1 for £8.50 and fed 2 of us the chicken was lovely and fresh and the dish was tasty the same with beef curry bang on. I did try ringing them to order last night (wednesday evening) but no answer on the phones I was gutted. As showed it was open online. I was speaking to the lovely owners of the place and they said it's literally husband and wife that pull together to do everything. And they have a child so I do get they maybe busy between themselves. But it's really worth the money the portions are nice sizing. My new regular... When open 🙂

Never disappoints We try go once a fortnight atleast but travel from Bridlington since nothing come close to how nice this place is!!

Overall, a very nice take away Chinese - a must try.

They staff were nice enough. The food was good value but not the best quality. The chicken noodles were ok, everything else just meh. The chicken curry was a gloomy mess.

Huge portions. Chips are lovely, lightly salted and crispy on outside fluffy on the inside. Curry is tasty, not too spicy. My partner has the crispy shredded beef in chilli and asks for no green peppers and the man gets it right Everytime. Never had a bad order from here and the man is so lovely!

We stayed just outside of scarborough and decided on a Chinese takeaway for tea, so many takeaways to choose from but the majority were in Scarborough which meant parking was a bit of a nightmare (double yellows or metered car parks). However Moriddo was perfect, 5 minute drive to collect and on a small estate so could park right outside free and the food was awesome, spent over £40 and every dish we ordered was perfect. ( some were even better than our local!) we definitely will be coming back here again.

Food is always great value for money. Meal deals are an abundance of food for what you pay. Highly recommended this place

Dreadful ! Dried up,pale chips. The curry sauce was like water and had no curry flavour. My mushroom dish was watery and had an overpowering aniseed flavour...not pleasant. Grubby waiting area should have warned me off, but I trusted the 5 * hygiene rating. Never again !

Fast, hot and inexpensive. Classic Chinese food often served with additional 'treats' over and above the threshold price (not too sure what that is but somewhere in the early £20s).

Fancied a takeaway while on holiday at Cayton bay. Ok it was a bit further than we would normally travel but really good and the salt and pepper chicken boxes were excellent value for money. Would highly recommend.

Absolutely disgusting! £12 for 2 currys and prawn toast and the lot has gone in the bin! The chicken in the curry was the texture of raw chicken skin the curry sauce tasted like bisto not curry,the prawn crackers tasted like stale greasy snaps and the prawn toast was disgusting! Fair to say the entire lot went in the bin and we will Never order from here again... EVER! Would have given 0 but it wouldn.t allow it so had to give 1 but even that is too much.

Use these regularly, always quick with the food, tastes delicious and nice big portion sizes
