Great views and freshly cooked breakfast

Very nice stuffed toaster and hot tea with the best sea view.

Long, long wait. Hot milk for a cup of tea, didn't know and almost burnt my hand. Wanted sandwiches, 2 cold and 2 toasted. 45 min wait at least and it wasn't mega busy. Food was ok, no utensils had to ask for them.

Nice cafe a short walk from the main strip. Views are amazing over the beach. Great friendly service. Although portions could be bigger.

View was very good, Food wasn't great, service was ok, staff not very friendly or welcoming, made us feel like we were an inconvenience

Had two hot chocolates and two cakes. The hot chocolate was fantastic the cake was reasonable. Big let down was the staff demeanour, I would have liked a nice cheery greeting or at least a smile. I know hospitality is a hard business but the staff just didnt seem very welcoming.

Stumbled across this place by accident as it started raining and we dove into the nearest cafe. So glad we did. The cream tea was delicious and lovely coffees. There is a great view of the beach. Staff were very welcoming and helped us with directions to the castle

Lovely view over the bay .. ordered breakfast which was served but without utensils sat n waited for them to bring as its table service but no had to go up n ask .. by this time the eggs were cold ..but wasn't very warm to start with n I understand there as been a egg shortage but the scrambled egg didn't cover one slice of toast let alone 2

Great views from the window. Came in for lunch and had a gorgeous mushroom soup and ham sandwich. Coffee was spot on too. Just 1 street back from the front, very clean and hood service too

Cafe with a View We were lucky enough to sit at a table in the window looking out across Scarborough South Bay (see photo). The view is amazing and a great bonus. Service was good and the staff friendly and helpful. I had the vegetarian breakfast which was lovely. Would definitely recommend this cafe for both the view and the food.

Best breakfast in Scarborough. Lovely food. Well cooked and quality ingredients. No bready sausages and stringy bacon here. Definitely worth a visit. We'll be back for cake! Fantastic view of the beach too.

First visit to this place and loved it. We were lucky enough to get a seat next to the sea view and really enjoyed having some nachos and latte whilst looking out at the sea. Food very reasonable and delicious.

Lovely lattes and cake. Good service and a great view out the window. Possibly the most secure café toilet in Britain with a lock on the outside door and two on the inner door 😊

Dropped on this cafe while trying to find somewhere nice with a toilet to have a quick bite and a drink. We had a cream tea, the chocolate orange cake and a pizza toastie, all very tasty and reasonably priced. The cake was gorgeous and the little 'un enjoyed the unusual toastie along with his flavoured hot chocolate. And of course the view over the beach is wonderful. Will definitely be back next time we're up that way.

Lunchtime visit, looking for coffee and cake, we were turned away at the door, apparently they couldn’t accommodate us, they only had a few small tables available. No are you ok to wait, let me see what I can do, just go away we can’t accommodate you.

Embarrassing.Slow service run by children, and"cook" unable to make an egg mayo sandwich despite having the ingredients. Won't be back and definitely not recommended.

Visited twice in the same day which says it all really. Had a lovely morning coffee and then returned for a late lunch. Sharon and Tracy couldn't have made us more welcome. Located up the hill from the main South Bay beach you'll find Cafe View and wow what a view. Beautiful even on a wet, cold, December day. Great value menu serving paninis, baked potatoes, sandwiches, scones and homemade cakes. It's even licensed if you fancy a cheeky glass or beer. Thanks again, good luck with your new adventure and we'lll be back next year.

Called in here for lunch. Was shown to a table .sat for 15 mins without being served whilst 3 other tables who came in after us got served .been here a few times whilst visiting Scarborough and it has always been OK.

Great views . lovely food off the main track but better for it

Popped in here today 17/8/22 for a drink, ALL staff very blank miserable expression looking. Maybe working in a lighthouse on a desolate remote island would suit these guys better.

We waited over 20 minutes to be served, when other tables were seated after us and served before us. We ordered 2 paninis and 2 canned drinks. Fair to expensive pricing and very Solemn staff. Disappointing experience for something that could be so lovely and quintessentially British.

Got ignored by the staff so wasn't able to put in a order to try this place would rate zero if I could .

Disgusted in the place Put an order in for food and drinks and got the drinks but waited an hour for food for them to bring out food for another table at a decent speed and never even made our order. Terrible service. We walked out because we were appalled by the service and the staff weren’t even sorry for the wait They don’t even deserve 1 star. If I could I would put minus stars. Definitely avoid.

Absolutely disgusted in the service. We never got our food that we ordered. They served a table that came in after us with food and then when asked they never even made ours. Amazing little cafe, friendly staff & the best breakfast on Scarborough! Very impressed.

Called in here today waitress was very pleasant but didnt seem experienced in the job , that didn't bother me , what did was having my jacket potato and beans served on a side plate , it came with a pot of coleslaw and little side salad , annoying thing was no room to eat properly without it spilling all over .....just serve your food on a decent size plate . Jacket potato was awful , reheated rubbish , overpriced and no soap in bathroom !

Very good cafe in Scarborough, which is very hard to find as most are rubbish, great view of the beach from the rear of the cafe, very reasonably priced food and coffee, 5 people with drinks and meal under £35, quite impressive

Called in Cafe View with family for lunch. Management and staff are extremely welcoming and friendly. We all ordered regular breakfast and toast. All the food was lovely and hot when it was served. Portion size was just right. Nice big slices of toast as well. Drinks of cappuccino and tea was nice and refreshing. Overall price was very reasonable for the food and drinks. The cafe had a good number of customers which is always a good sign I think when on holiday. There is a ramp inside the cafe to reach the seating area, customer toilet and great views over the beach. High chairs are also available. We will definitely be visiting again when we are next in Scarborough.

Lovely cafe with great view over the beach, as the name suggests. Staff are very welcoming, Waitress service excellent. Called in with family and all enjoyed the regular breakfast, toast, cappuccino and tea. The breakfast portion was just right, nicely cooked and well presented. Will definitely be visiting again when next in Scarborough.

Just had coffee/tea here, but it's a lovely little cafe and is aptly named for the fantastic view of the sea. Very polite and welcoming staff here.

Had a lovely lunch here today, gorgeous paninis, served with salad, lovely soup and a warm roll, the cakes looked lovely on the way in but we didn’t try. Nice pot of tea, all reasonably priced. The amazing view was a lovely surprise as we walked through. Highly recommended.
