Staying at a local campsite and popped in for a pint with the hope that food was still being served - late on a Sunday night! Landlord was great! Very friendly and nothing seemed too much trouble, even cooking our onion rings from freshly batter using beer he had just pulled and making a peppercorn sauce from scratch - it wasn't on the menu but he was more than happy to add that to our order. All the more impressive when he was the only member of staff in the pub! Guinness was good and we both had Steak and Chips. Good steak, cooked very well and to our liking, home made chips too, to go with the aforementioned beer battered onion rings! Pool table in the side bar too.

What can I say, a fantastic little pub in Hinderwell. The landlord Mark is very friendly and we visited twice for an evening meal while holidaying nearby. The food was lovely, the atmosphere was great and we chatted to people from other parts of the UK. Good food, nice prices, and entertaining conversation. Well worth a stop there, and we will definitely be going back next time we are in the area.

We visited this pub on Monday, at 4.30, told no food until 6. Not a problem as happy to have a few drinks first. At 6.15 th barman walked out as no one had turned up to replace him. No food! Called at chip shop across the road and ate fish and chips in the pub with a pint. A very strange way to run a business.

Called in on a wet Wednesday night having walked up the cliff path from Staithes. We were a bit muddy and had a wet dog but the landlord was really friendly, he even brought the dog a bone. Lovely fruity cider on draft, my friend had a beer, said it was the best pint he’d had for ages. We had a lovely chat with one of the friendly locals, We had breaded Brie wedges with toasted caramelised onion flatbread, salad and chilli jam, followed by chicken fajitas and my friend had scampi. The food was beautifully cooked, and really tasty. I hadn’t eaten in this pub for a few years, What a really lovely night, we will definitely be back very soon, thank you x

Me and my missus loved this pub. We are still laughing about a conversation we overheard when one bloke said “Who do you think will come in later, do you think Fat Arms will be here?*. We hadn’t had a pleasant experience in the other pub in the village, and talking to other people in the Brown Cow it seemed clear that neither had they. This is an old school, friendly boozer with a couple of very nice real ales on the bar and a roaring open fire. We both had a very nice time in here and will definitely recommend and return anytime we’re in the area. Tip. They don’t do food but they will allow you to order a takeaway into the pub and provide you with plates if you’re having a drink. I wonder if Fat Arms ever did go in that night?

Gorgeous place to come to and is always on our list as a ' must go to'when we are in Filey. Beautiful setting and everything here is really delicious. The lemon meringue tart and coffee cake are to die for. It's lovely sitting outside and enjoying the sunshine. Sadly it was raining today and as we have a dog we couldn't go in, there was some seating under a canopy for the ice creams but sadly for us just a bit too chilly to sit out. It is cash only so that is something to always remember when visiting.
