I've heard great things, and as a massive fan of ice cream, I thought I'd have to try it. The decor was great, pink pink and more pink.. loved that. The young guy begins the counter serving the ice, he is extremely friendly and helped me pick some different flavours. I was so excited i forgot to get a picture. Left very happy and though the ice cream was delicious.

Just popped in for an ice cream and tea. The decor is very kitsch but well done and the ice cream was excellent, creamy and the strawberry ice-cream tasted like real strawberries. Overall this was great. However had a chai tea latte and honestly the worst I have ever had. Sickly sweet with nothing resembling a chai cup of tea. Really don't serve this. It's a lovely place for what it is. Dont serve top quality ice cream and this brown sludge. Would recommend if u fancy ice cream but have to knock a mark off for the tea.

Disappointed no dairy alternative for those with intolerance/allergies. Rude older member of staff bluntly informed my family member that they would have to have a sorbet instead...to find out only two options were available anyway. Lovely service from a younger member of staff who made the orders. Just thought now-a-days a big ice cream shop like Morelli's would be supportive to customers with dietary requirements and offer a proper dairy alternative to ice cream

First time visiting Broadstairs, and of course had to come to the iconic Morelli's retro parlour for ice cream by the sea. Just got takeaway from the hatch, but it would be lovely to sit inside and have a sundae too. Great range of flavours - I opted for scoops of Kilimanjaro coffee and pistachio in a pot, my companion had mint choc chip in a cone. Creamy & luxurious, really enjoyed it. Will definitely return next time I'm in Broadstairs!

I remember this ice cream palace when I was younger. My parents used to take me there and I would have a huge banana split which at the time I thought was bigger than my head! We still go to Morellis now - I no longer have a banana split but opt for a coffee and sometimes cake. The last time we visited we had been on a long family dog walk and it was freezing so we all chose hot chocolates. It was lovely, I have never had a hot chocolate there before. Morellis is always so clean, the bathroom/toilets are always immaculate. The staff are always friendly and couldn’t be anymore helpful than they already are. Also the people in there (the customers) are always do chatty and friendly - everyone talks to everyone and it is just wonderful how pleasant everyone is.

We were looking for somewhere to stop for a cup of tea and a drink for our 10yr old daughter on a rainy afternoon and came across Morelli's. It was expensive but a lovely treat. We had to try the ice-cream which was delicious! On a practical note, there is only one toilet so there is likely to be a queue even when slightly busy. There is a baby changing table that you have to wheel in to the toilet to use, but there can't be much space to fit it in.

With its pink and mirrors art-deco interior and location right opposite the beach this rather large gelato certainly ticks all the right boxes in terms of seaside grandeur. Happily it also delivers on the ice-cream front as well. Alright, you won’t find anything unusual on the menu like you might at some supposed trendy places but the quality of the ice cream here is solid and there are enough guilty pleasure elaborate concoctions here to keep you coming back time and time again. I must admit that I watched with some scepticism the old lady who took my order for a ‘Margate Special’ as she somewhat nonchalantly put this ice cream together as though she could do it in her sleep but lo and behold the end result oozed decades worth of experienced precision as the flavours all sat together perfectly. From my previous visits (I first visited in 1985) I think I can safely say that whatever you choose here, you won’t go wrong. If ordering a coffee then the espresso isn’t too strong so a double espresso with one of the more voluminous ice-cream creations will complement nicely. In terms of negatives the staff seem pretty disinterested and most of the ice cream concoctions listed on the menu do not have accompanying pictures so you’re never quite sure what you’ve ordered until it turns up. These are minor quibbles though – you don’t visit a gelato on the strength of its customer service do you?I couldn’t imagine any trip to Broadstairs being complete without a trip to Morelli’s.

My husband’s ice cream sundae arrived covered in nuts, which were not listed in the menu description, my son has a severe nut allergy so this wasn’t good at all. I was delighted to find that my favourite ice cream parlour is back up and running. You can’t yet sit in its 1950s style diner and enjoy one of their superlative sundaes, but the takeout coffee, cakes and (of course) ice cream were all as good as ever.

This is the locals go-to place with a superb range of gelati; daily queues are testament to its enduring popularity. The staff work incredibly hard and are especially courteous to their older local customers. The team take great care of hygiene and Covid security. So sorry to read so many unkind reviews. This establishment is now run on a thread by its owner who takes profits out to Monaco. The absent owner business model is at fault here not the staff. Locals occasionally clear outside tables during peak times as they know staff resources are too low to keep up. And yes, some visitors slop their food and drinks without thought, and expect others to clear up after them! Thank you staff for providing welcome treats during the pandemic and keeping customers safe.

Had to queue for ice creams. The service was very slow for no apparent reason. Staff did not seem to be too bothered about the queue in my view. Ice creams were very good when we got them! There was two small tables outside the parlour, but tables were full of debris that had not been cleared away. Would probably not visit again as just felt we were a nuisance.

I hate to have to echo the reviews below but my trip to Morellis was a bit lacklustre. Planned to end a walk from Margate to Broadstairs with an ice cream at Morellis as I'd heard of its vintage charm and great ice cream. On arrival there was a queue for seating which is totally understandable in a covid world and I didn't mind the wait. The thing was there were loads of available seats inside and no one came out to say anything about how long the wait might be. After about 20 minutes they started letting people in. Not one polite word passed the lips of anyone during my whole stay, after eventually having someone come to take my order they said without any sort of apologetic tone that most of the ice creams were finished. I opted for a Knickerbocker Glory as it was one they had the ice cream for-it was very yummy but a bit ruined by the lack of charm/atmosphere .

Billed as the best ice cream gelato parlour in the UK, this was incredibly disappointing. The service was slow, the food was disgusting and the strawberry ice cream was the worst chemical tasting ice cream I have ever eaten. What £36 for a family of four and we all had to go and buy chips somewhere else that save your money

Slow service. When the food came it was terrible chemicaly and the scones smelled like cheese they took the payment befor the meal so we couldnt get a discont of the terible food. They do not desurve the title of best ice cream place.

Queued up 15 minutes to get in then equally as long to get served. The lady on the door must have been on holiday when Morelli's had their Customer Care course. Brusque would be putting it kindly. Woefully inadequate staffing levels, they lost far more money by people giving up and walking away than they would do employing more staff. The young lady who eventually brought our coffees was the antithesis of the bouncer on the door, friendly and polite although obviously stressed by her ridiculous workload. Coffee was surprisingly o.k. and I was told I could have a refill for £1. I declined as life is just too short to try and get served again. Get more (pleasant) staff.

Just been to Morellis, spent 30 minutes on queue to get in, and plenty of tables available, just full of empty glasses and waiting for being cleaned. The lady doing the seating incapable of organising the seating and clearing the tables. Also not wearing a mask appropriately, hence breaching COVID guidelines. Went for take away in the end; and the chap serving take away was incredibly rude. Ice cream ok, but not worth the wait nor the rudeness. I just wander how bad the experience will be in a busy sunny day. This is a clear example why chains rule the English cities, experience brought me to my childhood of holidays in England when going into an independent shop was playing Russian roulette with service and quality, as if the business was doing the customer a favour by serving then.

This ice cream parlour is popular. On a rainy Saturday in late October there was still a 10 minute wait to get in. The disposable paper menu is used to collect your personal details (if you haven’t got the nhs app), and indicate your order, so the waiting staff are with you for the least amount of time. Payment is taken on a wavepay machine before you get your food. We had waffles, which were much larger portion sizes than expected. One between two would have been fine. Very tasty. Pleasant staff. Not 5 stars because there seemed to be no reason for not getting folks in to fill the unoccupied tables, therefore a lot of unnecessary waiting. And if there really was a reason, menus could have been handed out to folks in the queue which would have speeded up the ordering process.

Loved Morellis since I was a little girl on holiday there. Had to have ice cream while on a visit recently. Everything was very COVID aware and explained upon arrival. Ice cream was superb. Have to say the coffee is excellent too. Great Gelato bar.

Always come here for ice cream when visiting. It is the best. I guess they know it as find the staff a bit arrogant. Also given its popular with families I don’t find they are particularly family friendly !

The (slightly) crazy thing about Morelli’s is that from it’s simple Broadstairs roots it’s become a world wide phenomenon, just have a search on Instagram to find stores in places like Dubai. Why?, because the ice creams, sorbets and gelato are amazing. Make sure you ask about the specials or this months Zodiac flavour. And if you don’t like ice cream there are some great cakes on offer. Dog friendly, take away options and a great vintage feel, which isn’t faked, it’s the original decor, this place is an institution.

I was so looking forward to trying out this ice cream parlour. Arrived with my husband, 12 year old son and 18 month old daughter. Covid barrier was no issue however staff seemed put out by my request for a high hair.Tables are very small, decor 50’s style - lovely. Unfortunately this parlour has the looks, not the substance. Menu items are shockingly expensive - for a decent sundae, the average price is £14 each. No waffles which was disappointing on a Saturday afternoon. Had 2 basic fudge Sundaes (vanilla ice cream with a pot of fudge sauce) and a banana split - total price just short of £25. Service was very quick and you are billed immediately - something to bare in mind. Ice creams arrived, very under whelmed. 2 scoops of vanilla ice cream in a small glass with a wafer and flake. My husband didn’t enjoy his, cream with vanilla ice cream doesn’t work I agree. No one checks in with you once your order is delivered, service is curt, seemed to be lots of exciting flavours but none evident on the menu. Once finished you get up and leave. No please thank you or anything like that. And leave via the exit door in the corner.

We were on a holiday trip and landed in Bristol for local tour. While we pass by the city central, we found this cozy Indian restaurant. When we entered for dinner, we were welcomed by the staff with warm smile and that initial moment made us comfortable to dine in. The menu looks pretty straight forward with choice of Starter, main course, sides & choice of beverage. Trust me the food is really great and a great palate to your taste buds. The team showcased "Atithi Devo Bhava" ( Treating guest with same respect you give to God). We were suggested fewer menu options and the choice of beverage (Alcoholic and non-alcoholic). Trust me the food is really great. If you want to try an Indian street food with family and friends this is the best in town as per my experience. Give a try to this place and I'm sure you will make one more visit to this place. They have a great menu and refer the latest image I have uploaded. They do organize outdoor events and bulk bookings as well. Quick reference guide: 1. Avg meal per person: 25 - 30pounds 2. Food served are freshly prepared 3. Any allergens notify prior to order 4. Restaurant have clean rest rooms 5. Bar service - Yes 6. Staff behavior - Excellent 7. Take away - Yes 8. Delivery - By 3rd party 9. Family seating table - Yes
