Morelli's in Moyle

We were down in lovely Ballycastle for one of our regular visits and we popped in here for some ice creams. The staff were not at all friendly or helpful - unlike the Morrelli’s branch in Portstewart where they make you feel very welcome & if you’re ever unsure which flavour to go for they will offer you a taste to help you decide. There were no other customers in this shop and it was over staffed, so no excuse whatsoever for the lack of customer service.The older lady in the shop who I assume is either the manager or the owner is not at all pleasant or welcoming either.As a group of friends we all agreed we will never again return to this branch of Morrelli’s.Overpriced and underwhelming - very poor.

Had a gorgeous rich tasting cappuccino in a take away cup so that I could sit outside in the sun. A fabulous cake and biscuit selection if you wanted to indulge.

The best icecream I have ever eaten. Very special and interressting flavours I have never seen before. Delicious

This fab little ice cream parlour is perfect for a uick stop and some people-watching. Located opposite the marina in Ballycastle near to the playground it is the perfect stop for a nice ice cream. Some of the flavours I tried on my visit included Lemon and Lime Ripple, Parma Violet, Bubble Gum, and Banana! On my short trip to Ballycastle I visited twice and even had a hot chocolate. There are a lot of hot drinks and cakes available and it's full of super-friendly staff which make you feel right at home. There is some seating inside and outside also to take a load off!

Mouth watering Italian ice cream, lots of flavours to choose from, well price, need I say anymore .....!

Our visit was totally spoiled by a very rude member of staff. One of the girls serving us was so lovely and smiley, but when we came to pay it was a different story. What a rude girl. If we hadn’t already licked our ice creams we would have given them back and gone across the road to “Mauds”!

Apparently well known for ice cream and gelato and deservedly so. Great refreshment on a warm sunny day.

We had our kids so we had to stop here also, friendly staff and according to our kids very nice ice cream.

We stopped in here for a quick coffee before boarding the Rathlin Ferry and then again when we came back for ice cream and a cup of tea. Great selection of ice cream which we all really enjoyed!

We stopped for a coffee & Ice cream on what was a busy weekend. Memories of similar experiences were visited; both in Rome and in Venice! A good selection of flavours, and rich coffee. Lovely...

Irish fare has a poor reputation in America. That is not the case at Morelli's. The salmon was as delicious as the ice cream dessert.

What a beautiful little stop over on our game of thrones tour. Coffee was lovely and the Lemon Drizzle and Brownie were off the hook !! Try the ice cream 🤤

Brunch stop at this busy cafe. Great variety of snacks and cakes. Staff friendly, fast and efficient. Only one small grip, teapots awful. Food fresh and appetising. Will definitely call back.

This was a "compulsory" stop by our guide whilst touring Northern Ireland.. He was lavishing praise on the various ice creams available in this outlet and I don't think anyone on our coach was disappointed

Great range of ice cream, coffee and cake. Nice service.well worth a visit. Recommend honeycomb and cream egg varieties. Lemon drizzle cake good too.

Buenos helados italianos, bastante cremosos. Algunos sabores no valen nada, pero el de banofe o salted caramel están muy ricos. Se puede tomar también tartas y café.

Not much more to say - big selection - ridiculously tasty! I had run and raisin and salted caramel - both delicious.

Over 100 years of Ice cream production, fantastic selection of Ice cream and Sorbet. Gluten free and GF cones. Great coffee and variety of homebaked goodies.

A really nice coffee, cake and ice cream parlour.....and I tried all three. Clean and bright with a great selection if cakes. And on leaving we had to try the ice cream. Can see why they have a great reputation. Returned a couple of days later after dinner. Was not disappointed. Different Staff, same welcome, excellent service and tasty creamy ice cream.

Amazing ice cream and milkshakes very morish and often went back. Staff very friendly Reasonably priced. Tea and cakes went bad either very yummy

The ice cream in here are the best. Close to the marina and the beach. We sat in the small park and watched the boats coming and going to Rathlin island.

Called in for a pot of tea, and couldn’t resistant some yum chocolate ice cream on a cold day. Nice staff.

Visited with my family. While the ice creams we fine and also our coffee. The service and freshness of the traybake we bought was a huge disappointment.

We stopped off for ice cream. Attracted by the queue! Thought it must be good and it was! Fast service. So many ice cream flavours! The mango sorbet was amazing. Sold cakes tea and coffee too also the odd souvenir. Would recommend

Purchased tub of vanilla to eat at home in our holiday cottage. Very tasty and we will be returning to sample other flavours. Flavour On a par with Nardini's in Largs and Luca's in Mussleburgh and seemed better value pricewise.

Just lovely for a coffe, cake or ice cream. Welcoming and always nice for a friendly chat. The location is perfect.

Very friendly, great ice cream (up to 32 flavours), coffee perfect. Small sit-in area with newspapers and pleasant decor and environment. We went back several times!

Este es el mejor helado que puedes conseguir. Tuve el sabor parma violeta en 2 ocasiones y no me puedo quejar, también tenía un sabor nutella y sabor de caramelo y salados y chocolatina Snickers honeycomb, aunque no todos al mismo tiempo, todos los sabores divinos.

You must try the whipped vanilla icecream in a honeycomb cornet. The icecream is divine the best I have had ever. And I do enjoy my whipped icecream this is a must if in Ballycastle .

This is a great location along the sea front to see the best views of Rathlin Island and enjoy some ice cream and generally enjoy the world go by

Nos alojábamos en localmente y quitó un helado. Era tan buena que nos teníamos que volver al día siguiente. Mi hijo había parma violeta uno de los días que era fabuloso.

Having the pleasure of an unexpected day off and a trip to Rathlin in the offing I decided to get a couple of coffees for the boat trip over. I also ordered 2 slices of traybake. I noticed that the slice being served from the heel of the cake was less than half the size of the other pieces so I requested a slice from the middle from the pleasant girl who was about to oblige when the owner/manager stopped her saying very loudly "Don't give that to her!" Somewhat taken aback, and embarrassed in front of other customers, I asked why and she replied they only serve from the back. I wish I had just left it but I paid for my expensive half slice of cake (which was pretty tasteless) and left with my tail between my legs, I suppose as I am a tourist she doesn't have to court my return custom. Well she succeeded. I'll certainly be back in Ballycastle but not in Morellis.

Friendly and helpful staff. Choices, choices, choices! Love Morellies icecream! From creamy vanilla to parma violet and turkish delight. Only downside was what to have!

We could not get into the Cellar Wine restaurant and had to eat here as we could not get a table anywhere else. Food was oily, and cold service was awful. Especially the garlic bread. Don't eat here if you have a choice

You will be spoilt for choice with the flavours of Ice cream availalble at Morelli's at a reasonable price too, the staff are also very pleasant too

Morelli's en su reputación de helado delicioso. La tienda estaba pegando - lleno de gente, así que fue una especie de salida y en un ambiente pero la variedad de helados eran muchos. Yo tenía un cono de chocolate con miel peine y hielo galleta toffees fudge crema de chocolate

Vine aquí con unos amigos que nunca había estado, estaba esperando un gran servicio al cliente, con todas las críticas, pero fue tristemente decepcionado! La señorita detrás del mostrador actuó como ella no quería estar allí o servirnos, y quería dejar tan rápido como sea posible - El helado era promedio y caro, y nos íbamos a quedar para tomar un café, pero el mal servicio nos desanime, así que nos fuimos a la bahía Café unos momentos por la carretera y el servicio era mucho mejor. Fuimos a otra tienda de helados en la ciudad al día siguiente y sin duda volveremos allí para un servicio mucho mejor y crema delicioso helado antes de volver aquí!

Este es mi ir a tienda de helados en Ballycastle. Tiene muchos sabores de helados, eres un poco malacostumbrados. Te recomiendo que adquieras una bañera de dos bolas porque es razonable y es la cantidad perfecta para comer! El personal es siempre encantador y amable! A veces puede que tenga que hacer cola, pero era de esperar porque el helado es tan genial!

Pedimos dos tiramisú helados debido a la descripción en el menú. Cuando llegamos no era lo describían! Ni siquiera tienen café. Cuando nos quejamos nos dijeron, que cómo nos dicen que lo hacen con chocolate brownie - Esponja empapada de café no! Me mi dinero pero nos decepcionó

Esta fue mi primera parada después de bajar del ferry de Belfast. Yo estaba húmeda y necesitaba un café. El personal y la clientela era increíblemente amable (por favor, factor en que trabajo en Londres!). Café y una tarta. Pasé una buena media hora para secar fuera antes de llegar a la carretera de nuevo con las direcciones de pub Joey Dunlop.

Me encanta la cafetería Morelli. diminuta. Sirven helado de docenas de sabores en un lado y café mostrador del otro". La estrella tiene que ser las tartas y bollos homebaked. Fantástico. La otra estrella es el personal. Muy simpáticos y atentos. El mayor problema es conseguir un asiento ya que es muy pequeña, pero cuando no simplemente relajarse.

estado yendo a esta pequeña tienda de café ya que se cambió de ser una sub-oficina de correos. Siempre hizo el mejor café con leche en Ballycastle, pero ya que fue tomada por Morelli, ahora tiene la ventaja de los mejores helados en la costa norte, una selección, casi cada sabor bajo el sol. Y el personal es estupendo!

Great selection of ice creams well presented and served by helpful staff at a reasonable price. Highly recommended by all of our group of 12.

Llevamos a los niños para un helado aquí antes de jugar en el parque. Nos hubiera gustado haber tenido café en este establecimiento. Era precioso, impecablemente limpia y deliciosos bollos se muestran!

Such choice - never realised there were so many different flavours of ice cream. Staff very friendly and helpful when one couldn't really decide what flavour to choose.

Y helado de la cafetería de Morelli tiene gran café, pasteles y helados. Los clientes podrán, si lo desean, sentarse en la barra, que fomenta la conversación con los vecinos. La tienda es muy popular con los lugareños, siempre es una buena señal. El servicio es ejemplar, y creo que el mayor valor de Morelli es Kate, que trabaja allí durante la semana.
