Great place to socialize and meet with friends. They have a ton of seating outside and beautiful fire pit tables. (I didn't get pic when they were on.) I don't drink, so I got a caramel macchiato. It was good but very small for $6+. I went late afternoon on a Sunday. I thought maybe they'd have more food options since they serve alcohol. I was wrong. I was wanting a little more than a muffin, cookie, or plain bagel.

I originally rated five stars but after coming back for the first time in a while we tried the coffee again and it was really watery with no real taste of coffee or the flavor that it was supposed to have. It’s a really cool spot but the drinks lack.

Awesome venue! Cova Brewing Company is a fantastic spot! The self-pour drink option was super convenient, allowing us to try a variety of brews at our own pace. The outdoor seating area is massive and well-thought-out, with fire pits and plenty of games spread across a big lawn – perfect for both relaxing and having some fun. There’s so much space that it would be ideal for hosting private events, too. Highly recommend for a great time with friends or family!

Income here regularly to have their seasonal lattes. The staff is amazingly helpful, they are polite and go out of their way to make sure your experience is good. They have food trucks regularly and baked food from a local bakery. Though they do not accept cash. Please keep this in mind, it doesn't subtract from how nice it is here. It's one of those places if you are visiting Norfolk is worth a stop by.

Very cool place. Coffee setup was excellent. Everything from espresso drinks to pour overs to cold pressed and much more. People took their time to do it right. Lots of pastries and other foods too. The beer setup was nice. About a dozen or more choices from their brewery, all available for self pour with card. The outdoor space was massive, shaded or in the sun, a great place to drink beer or coffee or both with friends. Will definitely be back.

Lots of seating outside and a lot of flexibility, but the beer is expensive and definitely inconsistent in quality, and the coffee is similar. Who charges a dollar for a splash of cream in a cup of coffee??? Staff is also inconsistent and...they can be great, but can also be condescending and rude (I've been coming here for years and sometimes the staff "explain" the process of using the cards like you're a total idiot...other times they're just fine).

Kind of an odd combination of a brewery and a coffee shop. It worked out for me as I could come at alcoholics time to start pregaming for my afternoon flight. After checking out of my hotel, I needed to kill several hours on a Monday. I don't drink coffee like literally everyone else who showed up at 11am that morning so I was feeling a little out of place. F that noise, I'm still on vacation, I'll day drink if I damn well please! So I got a card and opened a tab. They have a self pour set up, which I've experienced before but this was slightly different. In previous bars, I would add money to the card and use it to pour my brews until I tapped out. It's slightly different here as you basically have a open tab to do damage to your liver with. Place the card on the reader above the taps you want, select the specific beer and pour, easy peasy. They had a large selection of glassware, so you can properly match with your style of beer. They also had several ciders/seltzers, wine and whatever cowboy water is. Get a new glass every time and honestly pace yourself. I was able to do half pours to try as many beers as I wanted without getting in trouble with TSA. They mostly had lagers on tap, and one hazy. I tried most of them, which were all standard but good. The cashier did warn me before it happened, but the card will timeout or tap out after a certain point, and you'll have to have to reauthorized at the register. When pouring it'll tell you how much you poured, how much the pour cost and your total balance so you won't end up with any surprises when it comes to pay. When mine tapped out I took it as a sign, plus I missed my bus. By that time I had spent a couple hours drinking, reading and watching people enjoy their caffeinated beverages and baked goods. They have garage doors that opened to the courtyard, which unfortunately wasn't really being used due to the weather. There are several canopy tents to sit under, but only if it isn't raining sideways. Dog and kid friendly.

We were disappointed by this place for a very obvious reason !! The food was good, the service average, if not lacklustre and the general vibe of the place was lacking in energy BUT the main sin was the state of the main/only toilet which was meant to cater for people with disabilities. There was a broken seat just about hanging on to the toilet basin which I know my disabled mother would struggle with. It appeared like it had been like this for sometime and both hand wash dispensers were either broken or empty including the hand gel dispenser outside. The mark of a good and cared for venue is always in my case judged by the quality, cleanliness and state of the toilet/ restroom / bathroom facilities. These were a disgrace !! I wanted to tell one of the staff but felt as it was deathly silent in the cafe that it would’ve caused quite a stir.

Roomy and open, with plenty of seating and beverage options for the coffee and beer lover! Parking is out back and the bathrooms offer multi stall, updated restrooms. The brewery sits on one side, featuring a long wall of beer dispencers and various sized cups. The system is digital and looks very updated. They also had many different beers to choose from. I ordered the hot Biscoff latte, the iced biscoff latte, the hot caramel mochiatto, the cookie dough cupcake, and the cookies and cream cupcake. The hot Biscoff latte was not overlery sweet and tasred like a true Biscoff treat. The service was quick and efficient, no cash, as well as touchless payment options.

We went to Cova for an event on 16 August called Flea Market After Dark. The event and beverage selections were not super exciting but thats not why I am writing this. Upon entry to the event we were encouraged by friendly people to sign up for some sort of potential prize on some sort of tablets. We did and did not suspect anything odd at the time and were led to believe it was some kind of raffle type prize. Today we got a call about our "prize". IT'S A FREAKING TIMESHARE PRESENTATION IN MASSNUTTEN, VA. but they dont come out and say it. They say you won a 4 day vacation and some cash, like $200 or something and pass you and your spouse off to the next person in their con line. This is absolute B.S. and now they have our contact information and have called both my husband and I SEVERAL times already. We will never go to COVA again unless it is to stand next to this fake friendly con artist lady and tell everyone what she is actually doing when they come in and unsuspectingly sign up for a "prize". 0/10, they know what shes doing and allow it.

Honestly, I don’t usually have a weakness for premium coffees or cute cafes, because I’m pretty utilitarian about caffeine and feel that the experience rarely justifies the price. This place is the exception! The location speaks for itself, and the service and offerings are just as impressive as the venue. So much attention to detail. My cappuccino was served at the perfect drinking temperature—no cooldown period required—and stayed that way the whole time thanks to the extra thick cup it was served in. Super rich and velvety thick foam. Little things like that made my morning! Contents of the pastry case are better than those in most coffee shops, and I’m picky when it comes to desserts. I had one of the big cupcakes with real buttercream that was so delicious, I’ll have to come back for another on my way home.

I’ll start with why i was gracious in the 2 stars. It’s a great outdoor space in a nice area. I love what they've done with the space and I’ve enjoyed a few larger events there. However, I'm offended by the staff, cost, and general “rip you off” attitude. I had one glass of terrible wine and my boyfriend had a beer for $30 and they wanted a 18-25% tip when I served and seated myself, and even cleared my table. I’m sad that you're a few blocks away and I’ll never spend another penny there. I think you got too greedy, and are taking advantage of your local community. They too will get tired of the crazy pricing and go elsewhere. Peace and best wishes.

Food (beverages): 5/5 they have a decent selection of beverages ranging from coffee to one side of the area and then a wall of beer on the other. They do the whole tokens where you can charge so you don't have to wait for someone to pour a pint. Atmosphere: 5/5 they have a smallish inside, but make it up with a clean nice charm. A simple modernist approach, they also had live music on Sunday that brought in a lot of people. They also have a great outdoor section with some bonfire pits and places to chill when it gets to summer. Service: 5/5 friendly, nice, and welcoming. Nothing to complain and all kudos around!

My wife and I had a wonderful time here. The beer is self-serve and they have someone there to show you how it works (its easy)! You get a card (or 2 in our case) connected to your tab that you place in the card reader over the beer you want. It only charges you for how much or little you pour, which is perfect for trying a few without committing to a full glass. It also shows you the price of what you poured so its easy to keep track. You grab a new glass each time and use the rinser before you pour, so things stay clean. There is great outdoor seating and it's in a great area, with a nice sized yard/field that was being used for an outdoor trivia night. The prices were good as well! There was also a food truck this evening. If there isn't a food truck, outside food is welcome. We are definitely coming back.

Fine as long as you're not either vegan or vegetarian. No efforts made to accommodate if you are and absolutely no alternatives to the fry for breakfast. We were informed by staff that all food was fried in the same fat rendering the mushroom, tomatoes and other potentially vegan options inedible to my niece. Having paid for full breakfasts at McNaughtons, she was given dry toast and a ramekin of baked beans! The full fry was adequate but by far the most begrudging I've ever seen with 1/2 portions or smaller items served up. Avoid the black pudding at all costs.

Lovely cafe located in the heart of the village. Not overly large, so may be disappointed if full. Full and varied menu and the staff are friendly and helpful.

The breakfast spots in Ireland seemed to open later, so my appetite was in craving mode; Cafe Cava did not fail me. The breakfast sandwich with egg, bacon, and sausage was terrific...I could have eaten three but only had one because my doctor would have had an issue. ;-)

Great selection of beers. I like the self pour taps, so you can get however much or little you want. Nice outdoor area to hangout and enjoy your beers.

Didn’t have a good experience. I was at the wall and didn’t know how to use the tap properly & when I asked the lady who was supposed to be helping she made snarky remarks to me accusing me of being a drunk. I didn’t appreciate the comment as I have never used the taps before. It was very rude and uncalled for. She shouldn’t be at the wall to help customers if she isn’t going to be helpful.

I love the "pour your own" approach here, and the fact that you pay by the ounce. Prices are very reasonable, and the staff are very helpful. The "pour your own" style works especially well for flights because it gives you even more flexibility. They have a nice outdoor seating area, and frequently have food trucks on site. They also have a great coffee shop side - the samoa pie is a must!

COVA has a wide variety of beer... stouts, lagers, sours, and IPAs... along with seltzer and wine. The beers were all good and with the large selection sure to please everyone. They even have a coffee shop! Dog friendly, nice little spot. Glad we went!

This place is dope. Really hits a broad target audience of beer geeks, coffee nerds, and foodies with the food trucks. The space has a really cool atmosphere with all kinds of different people

Awesome local brewery and coffee shop. Run club meets up here often. There's food trucks outside quite often and snacks inside. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Room for kids and dogs to play outside. When the weather is cool there are fire pits as well. Recommend checking their web page and social media for current events/food trucks/specials. I'm a HUGE fan of local and nitro cold brew and these folks hit on both those!

This is a solid 4 star brewery. The process is easy, the staff is friendly and helpful, but the coffee shop in the brewery is just silly.

What a great brewery! Tons of outdoor spaces with different seating options. The indoor area is bright and welcoming and the bathrooms were immaculate. All the beer is self-service- you get a card that tracks your purchases. I made myself a sampler and then poured my wife a glass of Chardonnay. They had 4 wines on tap as well and several seltzers. They also have a full coffee bar with local pastries and a handful of other menu items. Their coffee must be great because the line was constant. Other meal options include a food truck on site. And today was Girl Scout Cookie day, so that was our dessert! We had a great visit to Cova Brewing- the vibe and the people were all positive- and most importantly- the beer was delicious.

Hampton roads needs more places like this. There is inadequate parking space however. Some patrons parked inconsideratly taking up too much space. We had to park in the mall lot. On the side of the venue, there is an area allocated to maybe 10 golf carts, but there was non there. It could be used to fit some cars, so the empty spaces are utilized.

EDIT: I don’t often go back to add onto my reviews; especially when there isn’t much else to say. But I cannot brag on this place enough! The service has consistently been top notch and the rotating taps always offer something new to experience. We have brought many friends and family here over the past couple of years and not one complaint. We love this place! Original review: Waited and waited with bated breath for this brewery to finally open. Had no idea there was going to be a coffee shop inside as well. Now they can get our business for a pick-me-up on the way too work and a much needed draft on the way home! We went during the soft opening and the staff could not have been friendlier. We have never been to a brewery like this before and the staff was excited to explain how the system works. We tried out the pilsner, coffee brew, and nitro brew. Pilsner was my favorite. The iced mocha was also pretty tasty. It all was very reasonably priced as well. We did end up spending a pretty penny because we picked up some merch on the way out. Realized afterward that the tip % was based off of the merch as well. Oops. Support local! In short, the wait was totally worth it. We’ll be back!

I love this wee cafe. It looks unassuming it doesn’t try to be anything it isn’t like a few others in Bushmills, the food is out of this world. I had a fry and it was amazing. I’ve tried a few other dishes too and they have been amazing. Staff are helpful and friendly. Portion sizes are big and the prices are good. All in all it’s the best place to eat in Bushmills.

Suggestion to the management, please provide good training to your staff on how to treat customers. Not sure it is problem with specific person working at this location but me and my friend were ignored consistently like we does not exist. After waiting for ~20 mins we returned without buying any drinks. Bar tender knew we were next in line but he kept serving others. Is it because we are not locals? Or because of our country of origin? Hope this does not happen to other Asians

On arrival everyone's temperature was checked due to Covid and all staff wore masks at all times which was reassuring to see. A decent choice on the menu where you can get a set menu with 2 courses for £18 which includes a 10oz Sirloin for a small surcharge. We all ordered steak though some came back not cooked to what was requested. Value for money was fine as we had 4 starters, 4 mains and 2 bottles of house red which all came to £130.
