Scotch House in Moyle

Suggestion to the management, please provide good training to your staff on how to treat customers. Not sure it is problem with specific person working at this location but me and my friend were ignored consistently like we does not exist. After waiting for ~20 mins we returned without buying any drinks. Bar tender knew we were next in line but he kept serving others. Is it because we are not locals? Or because of our country of origin? Hope this does not happen to other Asians

Incredible evening with Mark and the crew at Scotch House!! From the time we walked in to meeting the locals to the closing... we had an amazing time. A must see in the lovely town of Bushmills. 11 out of 10 service. Get there!!

Such an amazing pub and super friendly staff. We were staying next door at the youth hostel, a large group of us from all across Europe. We had at least one drink every night at the Scotch House Bar with perfect pints, great music and looking after our every need. Highly recommend this place to all travellers!!!

This bar is a great place to call in for a drink or two. The staff are really friendly and welcoming. The decor is amazing and the ladies room is something that you would find in a five⭐ hotel. Well worth a visit.

Extremely clean an spacious place with plenty of plugs to charge your electronics while taking a pint. Perfect for travellers!

This is a newly refurbished bar and I called in for a quick drink. I cant wait to go back. It was really welcoming and modern. The bar lady that served us was so friendly and I was nearly going to miss my bus so I could stay for another lol... well worth a visit.

What a place. It's got everything, brilliant staff, cracking atmosphere, best live music! Great during the day for families and even better at night 🍻

This is our 4th time staying in bushmills & the 1st time we have visited the scotch bar. I went in with my wife tonight & we had a lovely few hours. The draught Guinness was the best I had ever tasted (barman said it was in the pour)very friendly barman & clientele. Will be back next time we are in bushmills. Stephen

EDIT - En réponse au patron, il se trouve que je vais passer un moment en Irlande fin septembre. On verra si je fais un saut dans le Nord. Mais vu toutes les mauvaises expériences qu'on y a eu, c'est pas gagné quand même. Quoi qu'il en soit, si je ne viens pas faire un tour chez vous pour constater le changement, je retirerais mon commentaire. Patron sympa qui sait servir la Guiness. Pour le reste, musique payante, braillarde et remixée par des feignasses. Locaux patibulaires qui crachent des borborygmes dans notre dos (très sympa de se sentir bienvenus), clairement on est plus en Irlande du Sud.

Visited Bushmills for the long weekend, had an evening meal here on the sunday night, there was a good selection, efficient service, good size portions and food was top quality

We had been having fun eating in pubs in Ireland so we were a little disappointed to be sent upstairs to eat in a rather nondescript room. The food was good and so was the service but we would have preferred to eat downstairs.

La comida era la peor comida que he sido expuesto. colectivamente Un bocado de la carne por mi esposa y mi hermana y el pescado por mí era suficiente. Un olor de los vinos por copa es suficiente - como el asqueroso, comida. Lo que nos dimos cuenta era que esto no era algo que las camareras estaban preocupados por, este no era su problema ni su cuidado. No podía basura este lugar. En realidad, llamar a un restaurante es una broma. Si estás en Bushmills tienen una bolsa de patatas patatas antes de sujetos de esta cocinero restaurantes y digo cocinar no chef.

Este lugar bistro está encima de un pub encantador en el centro de la ciudad. Básicamente es un poco aprovechada, pero acogedor y cómodo. No hay pretensiones, buena comida hecha por gente que realmente se preocupa por lo que hacen. La señorita que nos estaba mega amable. Éramos cuatro adultos y tres niños. La mayoría de las comidas para los adultos eran gran valor, puso en alrededor de £ 8. Yo era el único orden sándwich de bistec con los adultos restantes tener hamburguesas de carne con opciones como bacon, añadió. Ah, yo tenía una pinta deliciosa de Guinness. Esta fue una de las mejores comidas que he tenido en carne las últimas semanas y los otros acuerdo que disfrutaron de sus comidas. La salsa de pimienta se sirve con mi carne era absolutamente genial y me encantó. De primera categoría. Yo también fui para una parte de aros de cebolla, ya que mi esposa había elegido patatas ajo con su principal, así que podría compartir. Una vez más, los anillos de cebolla eran ace también sabroso. Rondas de suave cebolla y gruesas una pasta fresca. El bistec de ternera de excelente calidad era. Disfruté de las patatas fritas a ajo. Los niños tenían nuggets de pollo y patatas fritas. Todo hecho desde cero en la casa, incluyendo los niños nuggets. Esa es la manera de hacerlo. Hubo un momento de shock para mí cuando pedí la mostaza colman's, que es la mejor del mundo y mostaza carne tan buena como se merece Colman, y me dijeron que no tienen. Como estaba tomando en la enormidad de esta afirmación chocante ella re-apareció sólo unos minutos más tarde con un recipiente de plástico de Colman, así que mi plan para burgle olvidada una supermercado local, y tiramos un su valor turã stico en mi plato. Otra ventaja fue cuando pedimos dieta coca-cola nos dieron la 330 ml latas muy bien relajado. Muchos sitios ahora de dos botellas de litro pour sin fizz izquierda. Una desventaja posible pero no para nosotros fue que no venden postres. No dudaría en volver.

It's a basic pub menu, but the food was well cooked and served promptly. Our waitress and the bartender were really friendly.

No hay 'ambiente' para hablar. Chanchulleros de mesas en la parte de arriba. Una camarera en la noche de jueves. Pequeño menú (sándwiches básico). Los lados fritos estaban bastante soso, debe utilizar un aceite de no freír en grasa. Mi hamburguesa era decente, así como sandwich de carne a mi esposo. Para un pub tenían muy poca variedad de cerveza. En general es bastante decepcionante, pero no pudieron entrar en las opciones para comer mejor en la ciudad esa noche - demasiado ocupado. Así que reserve con antelación para otros lugares.

Went in for a drink on Saturday my wife says it's the best glass of Guinness she as ever had I had cider that's good any were old world but a good must visit.

We weren't sure about this place upon entry. Overall we liked it. It's not a fancy place, but it is a great value. They had an €8 special that had a variety of options. We had the chicken Goujons and the plate was massive! We should have shared one! Sadly that day they didn't have fish and chips, but it was no big deal. The service was very good!

lovely meal had. bar downstairs, small restaurant upstairs. all meals only £8 including a side of your choice. would definitely return. butternut squash soup, chicken goujons and the chicken and bacon club sandwich were all beautifully presented.

Menù limitato nella scelta ma abbondante nella quantità. Veloci nel servizio. Personale gentile.Bagni puliti. Da ritornarci.

Una signora di Bushmills ci ha consigliato questo pub, frequentato esclusivamente da inglesi, che ci hanno accolto molto familiarmente. Abbiamo cenato con piatti da pub, chicken curry, pollo con una salsa di curry e pesce fritto con insalata e patatine fritte. Anche i dolci non sono male. Bella serata. Ambiente molti informale e anche per famiglie con ragazzi come la nostra.

My wife and just went in for a drink in the Scotch House, and we received a really friendly reception. We had our drink and then tried to get a taxi home - we tried every number possible, and the bar man did his best to help. Anyway - no taxis available! The barman offered us a lift. 'But who'll look after the bar?' I said. 'Och, I know them all, they're all locals!' he replied! I've drank in bars in many, many places - and I have never before had a lift home from the barman! It's not the best looking pub in Bushmills but it will always be our local when we're back.

from the outside questionable. Oh yes looks can be deceiving. walk into the main bar, a warm welcome from behind the bar. Table for four, up stairs is the restaurant. Pleasant greeting from the waitress. seated at table, which is one of 10 tables. Roomy and comfortable. order given then wait. During this time the drinks are brought up from bar by a very funny jolly man. that's it you start laughing and just keep going. food arrives and gosh it is plentiful. Roasting hot perfect. The chunky chips to die for dry crunchy and lovely. Cleared plate all round. Sweet apple crumble or toffee sticky pudding. all served with cream. could do bit more toffee sauce, small grip. great value 10 pound for two courses.will go back homely.

My husband and I ate here during an overnight visit in Bushmills. We shared the garlic mushrooms for our starter (5 massive breaded mushrooms - delicious), he had the steak and guinness pie and I had a steak sandwich. Everything was delicious, although the 'pie' was really just a large filled Yorkshire pudding. Portion sizes were very generous. We didn't have room for dessert.If we are ever back in the area we would eat here again.

We dined here a week ago - we had 3 steak and Guinness pies and the burger in the restuarant upstairs and a few drinks in the bar downstairs. The food was delicious (garlic chips were toxic - in a very good way!) and the staff were very friendly. We will definitely be back!

This little gem in Bushmills was the perfect spot for a traditional irish pub dinner after a long day hiking the coastal causeway route! The steak and Guinness pie was to die for, best I've had in all of Ireland. The staff was super friendly and the place was clean and the beer cold. What more could you ask for?

Called here again for a few drinks and a bite to eat and yet again the drink was good the crack was good and the food was excellent!!! We all had a few beers and a main from the menu and had change left outa £65 quid and there was 4 of us and for the quality of food we got u cud'nt beat it anywer else in town!!. Arrived late and needed a quick dinner. The upstairs restaurant of this pub serves basic and tasty grub. More than adequate but nothing special.

Went here based on Trip Advisor reviews and we were satisfied with the experience. We both got the same burger which was well cooked and tasted great. The price was average so no complaints there. The staff there were friendly also.

Only place we could get into! The food was passable, staff were friendly but very busy felt rushed. It was good for what you paid but would not go again.

This is a cute little restaurant/pub in Bushmills. Surprisingly the other guests were from all over the world. We didn't meet any Irish except the servers.The food was good, especially the seafood chowder. Prices were reasonable.

We went here having had a local stop us in the street and give their very high recommendation. They were right as the food is very good traditional pub grub and very good value for money. The quality, look and feel of their recent renovation (my opinion only) could have been done better. If it was up with the times then this place would be packed and fully booked every day/ night of the week.

We had a very very nice and unexpected dinner! Good vegetarian pasta made for the vegetarian one of us, delicious steak pie served in Yorkshire pudding, very testing fish pie. All the dishes were very well presented! Nice furniture and beautiful atmosphere inside the restaurant. The waitress was definitely lovely and so funny! Waitress of the year!

Having a short stop at Bushmills, we tried the Scotch house. For sure, some scotch food is needed. I ordered the scotch burger, which is incredible delicious. Also the french fries were very good. Besides , the staff was very kind to change a take-out coffee for us, and the cost here is cheap compared to the quality. Highly recomanded place of me.

We found this place by accident on a Wednesday evening around 8 PM. The pub downstairs was classic. We ate upstairs in the spacious, clean, bright restaurant. They already had a family group of about 12 people with children. Our party was four adults and two small kids. The service was exceptional and quick. Our waitress really knew kids and catered to them. She brought out their food right away. The menu was typical pub grub. The food was excellent with good portions and a very reasonable price. I had an outstanding seafood chowder. We had five meals, four pints, and 2 kids drinks for £ 56.

We stopped here at recommendation of our B&B owners. I had the seafood chowder which was incredibly rich and fresh. The restaurant offers excellent value. We had 2 mains and 4 pints for about 20 pounds.

Called here for a bite to eat again and all i can say is well done. Food was great and the staff were very friendly. Highly recomend this wee pub for a bite too eat and a pint as it wont empty ur wallet.

Called here today with a few friends and had a very warm welcome and great food. The service was good and the steak and guinness was fabulous and served in a giant yorkshire pudding with mash. My friends had the scotch house burger and fries which they really enjoyed and the menu is very well priced. Will diffently recomend to friends and family and i will be back very soon :) :)

We visited this establishment with another couple. Our first experience was that good we went back for a second night. This is not one of your high class restaurants with fine china but it is a great little eating hole. The meals we had were just great. Price was reasonable. The two young ladies who provided wait it service were extremely good and helpful to four foreign out of towners.

The restaurant is upstairs. Clean and basic with a limited menu. Pub grub but very good quality and generous portions. Value for money without any doubt.

Great food and service. Had Angus burgers, several kinds of chips, and the Guineas pie. Good kids menu too.

Called in to this wee pub for a pint and a bite too eat and I must say it has impressed me with its fine service and great food!! Had a pint of Guinness and a bowl of there home made soup which was delicious and I must add one of the best tasting soups I've tried to date . Will diff call again before I head home as there steak and Guinness has too be tried .

I went there for dinner just before the kitchen closed, but thee staff didn't seem annoyed at all. Had a nice Yorkshire Pie and mash, but the best part was the owners and patrons at the bar. When I couldn't get a taxi back to my hotel, they offered me a ride. The bar and restaurant were newly done up, looked really nice.

Recently went to visit the bushmills distillery and giants causeway and on my way from one attraction too the other I felt a wee bit peckish. So had a look around and was told about the scotch house bistro Wich has recently opened its restaurant again so decided to give it a try and to my delight am glad I did!!!. The bar itself is very bright and welcoming and there is a fire burning wich gives the place a feeling of being at home from home. The bar is excellently stocked with all the whiskeys and spirits and has a very large variety of local beers and nice wine's. The staff are really friendly and when I asked for food they pleasantly asked me if I would like too be seated in the bar or upstairs in the restaurant too wich I decided to go upstairs too be seated at a lovely table by a window with plenty of light. I then went too order my food from the simple and must say really well put together menu with no hidden costs and actully explains everything in a manner that u can understand. They have a seafood chowder and steak and Guinness pie along with house burgers and steak sandwiches all not too expensive and a kiddies menu with plenty of variety and again not expensive. After bout 10 mins looking at the menu the delightful young waitress came over for my order and I asked her wot she recommended too wich she replied the steak sandwich or steak and Guinness. I decided too have the steak sandwich along with chips s I was feeling really hungry and when it arrived I was not disappointed . I wanted my steak sandwich medium rare and it was cooked too perfection along with the fried onions and peppers and not to forget the chips and peppered sauce it was delicious and well presented. Top marks to this newly opened restaurant and I highly recommend this wee touch of class too anyone visiting the bushmills area as you won't be disappointed. I'll be back for sure and bringing the family with me next time

Holy Moses this was an eye opener......a very "local" bar. This is fine but unexpected in such an area of tourism. A few strange but harmless characters. Mx

Is this not the perfect town to have this dish. It was great. My wife had soup and sandwich. Also thoroughly enjoyed it. Staff was friendly. It was quiet when we were there but it was early. Relaxing atmosphere, no rush. Great place to stop when you are exploring the coastline,.
