More Than Just Subs in Kensington and Chelsea

Fries are reheated in ovens, yes, and they do it in front of you, so don’t complain! It is about street food, so what you see is what you get. We didn’t like the fries so much, but the hot dogs were honestly really good. We also liked the kindness and the patience of the staff despite the crowd. Not bad at all.

Horrendous food that was absolutely disgusting. The chips were reheated and tasted rank, (says a 5 year old and that's saying something) don't get me started on my sub- a BLT in a hard roll with processed bacon lardons yet the photo overhead showed English back bacon, they were rubbery and foul! My husband had chicken steak fries covered in what can only be described as neon ketchup that tasted like battery acid. Everything we ordered ended up in the bin, we couldn't even eat it, I wouldn't have fed it to my dog. Overpriced Awful food, what a waste of money!!! £20 I'll never get back! DONT EVER GO TO THIS PLACE!

I’m not a food snob, but I do believe that a certain standard needs to be reached if you charge for food..More Than Just Subs is a total waste of money. We needed some fast food whilst on a short break from performing and the food was so bad. The chips were disgusting and it’s just not quality food in any sense of the word. We wished so much we’d gone to the Spanish Jamón place next door. Avoid this place, there’s plenty other fast food joints in the area that serve decent food.

Had half an hour to kill before visiting museum,. Walked around, the little one spotted this place as it was selling chips. We ordered, managed to get seated round a cramped table (well it is mainly for takeouts but good to see a seat or three). The staff were constantly busy, receiving orders, prepping and serving so obviously a popular place. The fried chicken we saw being sliced, when served both the chicken and chips had texture but were a little bland. We were asked if we wanted cheese or a dip so I guess the flavour is enhanced by those. We did get a free cookie though. Good to see staff removing any left or fallen food around the tables. With all eateries around the area this is a good budget option, food mostly eaten on the move or sat somewhere outside.

At the South Kensington store, the girl who works on Fridays is generally very poor service. she not only spent time with me but with my co-workers from the Victoria and Albert museum. added that she is rude and rude

Good kebab in a ciabatta style bread. All hot and tasty although the chips weren't great. Plenty of variety to choose from too.

I do not know how this place is trading here of all places. I had a breakfast sub which comprised of bacon ,egg and cheese. They asked me which bread i would like it on and pointed to the bread selection which had white molde on them. I then had a look at the sandwich fillings while i was waiting and the tuna had a hard crust on top from where it hadn't been moved or changed for some time. I did eat the sub regrettable as it tasted disgusting with the cheapest of ingredients, i have also been violently sick the next day and i highly suspect it was from this dirty establishment! AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE.

The staff were kind and my order came fast. I got what I needed a quick and good evening sandwich. Good fast food.

An amazing choice of subs, look great! We didn’t try them but went for the chips with cheese but they were too greasy for my liking. The waffles and cookies were lovely.

Popped in for a quick bite and were pleasantly surprised. Varied menu of subs, wraps, chips etc loved the free cookie! We had falafel wrap, doner pitta and bbq chicken sub all with salad and shared halloumi with fries. Quick friendly service & reasonable prices for London.

Can’t wait to return - please build more restaurants! If I had the money I would invest! Great menu.

More Than Just Subs is, well, a small restaurant mostly selling subs. It is located on the corner of the South Kensington station arcade. This is only a small place but there are a couple of seats. The name is a bit odd given that much of what they do is sell subs. However, there are also other things such as fries. The fries are not particularly good and it is best to go with what the place does best. There are a few different options including one vegetarian choice. The falafel sub is really rather tasty with a humous spread and the addition of a salad selection. A combination of falafels, humous, lettuce, olives, jalapenos, and gherkins in a toasted olive bread is a winner. Price is fairly cheap with the falafel sub now costing £4.20 which given the premium location is not bad. A cookie is thrown in as well. Service is at the counter but the direction of the queue is not immediately obvious. It goes from the restaurant to the arcade rather than through the exit towards the street. The ambience is all a bit rushed but is still friendly. There are not many seats and it is in any case not really an ideal space for eating as there are too many people standing around near the two sets of tables. For those who need a quick warm snack in South Ken, More Than Just Subs is a tasty and friendly place to grab something.

We returned from viewing Tower Bridge about 10:30pm. All restaurants in the area were closed except this place. It's a small venue with few tables, open till 1am. We ordered the crispy chicken sub and it was very good. Prices are reasonable and service was good. Don't expect anything fancy and you won't be disappointed.

Oh-My-God, this place is, officially, the worst place to eat fries. They are cooked in the oven, and when I say "cooked", I should say "heated", because, they're just raw. The rest of the food is OK at best, but nothing to be thrilled about. I'm never returning to this place again.
