There is a limited menu and when we requested chicken wings we were told they were off the menu. Chorizo turned up in small dry chunks in what looked like a chips bowl, lamb meatballs were cold and tough so we sent them back . They came back warmish but still tough. The Patatas Bravas were nothing like we ever tasted before and were decidedly not Spanish. So we left our food. When the waiter came to clear we told him how poor the food was especially the meatballs and he actually admitted they’d recently changed meat supplier and he aren’t vert good! The floor was dirty and the tables sticky and grubby. It was a totally forgettable experience that we won’t repeat ever again. They didn’t take any of our complaints seriously and didn’t make any deductions to our bill. Our advice is to avoid this place.

Nice aesthetic and handy location, but such slow service and the food is mediocre. We waited 25+ minutes between ordering drinks and food, and had to ask twice about a dietary requirement from the menu after being told “I don’t know, I would assume so but not sure?” and “I’ll ask the kitchen” only to never return (twice). The food is pretty basic but the feta crostini was bizarre: two thick slabs of square feta on a toasted bit of bread. The whole table were laughing at how random and un-put together it was. There’s also an automatic service charge which is not appropriate as a tip should be given if diners want to, not added on by default. Wine selection was nice so for drinks this place would be fine, but avoid for food.

I’m not usually one to give such a low rating however I cannot find a single good thing to say about this place. I came here during lockdown when we were able to meet outside and the food amd drinks were great! Decided to try again and noticed by the menu it had new owners, and omg can you tell the difference. The place looked a mess, no where to sit and seemed more like a bar than a restaurant. The poor waitress and waiter- who were great btw, had a tough time navigating through the mess of people. Food quality was terrible, nothing authentic. Ordered Patatas Bravas and was given oven chips with some sauce! I just think they shouldn’t have lots of people hanging about standing when it’s more a restaurant that people come for. Will never come back, will go somewhere authentic for Tapas.

On arrival I felt confused and a little bit overlooked I went to the bar and was greeted by a young gentleman who when I asked for a drink went on to tell me that ‘he was doing something’…the barman…. It was a real shame as though I was relatively thirsty so felt it was a little rude however I’m sure the pornstar martini that took 11 minutes and 34 seconds to make was delicious…I’m just gutted it wasn’t mine Nevertheless I’m sure it’s a lovely place to visit if everywhere else is full

We, a party of four, arrived at the entrance to El Vino's outdoor seating at 13.30, our intention was to have a couple of light drinks and perhaps a meal before going aboard HMS Belfast. There were only 3 tables occupied with staff both in and outside of the main restaurant. We were immediately noticed but not acknowledged. There was no sign declaring that you had to wait to be seated, however, we did stand for around a minute just incase but still had no contact, be it verbal, a wave or a nod. We decided to sit down and made our way into the table area, it was only then that the nearest waitress told us to get back and wait, and in that manner too, brusque and certainly up their own.... type of style. (We wore masks and had sanitised our hands at the entrance) Despite the heat of the 20th of July 2021, we hastily retreated, then walked off, really surprised at her manner, bearing in mind we would have given them some custom. As we did it was only then that the staff bothered to take any notice and stared. I'm sure the restaurant is as others have praised it for, but for us it was easily our worst experience in a four day visit to London. It is generally the attitude and attentiveness of an establishment's staff that sets it apart from others, good times, service and great memories are never forgotten.

My friend and I received a warm welcome at El Vino London Bridge on a rainy Wednesday evening. As we have to sit outside currently, the El Vino thoughtfully rang me in advance to warn me that there were no tables available under the umbrellas. Luckily by the time we had arrived the rain had stopped, the table and chairs were wiped down and we were good to go. The service was friendly and attentive throughout our visit. The wine list includes details of vegan and organic wines which is helpful if this is important to you. The tapas was tasty, I particularly enjoyed the cheese plate. I look forward to a return visit, hopefully on a sunnier evening!

We booked over a month ago but when we arrived the only tables were in the open air. Not under shelter and no heater. It may not be their fault it was raining but the terrible attitude was. The manager was downright rude and kept saying they’d called everyone - she lied as they hadn’t. Never ever going back and teach your staff customer service.

I’d just like to write in to say what a lovely meal we had El Vino a few weeks ago. We were greeted warmly by the manager on duty, I was pleasantly surprised it wasn’t busy and there were clearly social distancing measures in place. We sat down quickly and helped with questions about the menu as we hadn’t visited before, and soon after lots of delicious tapas plates came out. The whole evening was very relaxed, the staff were helpful and I would absolutely visit again soon. Many thanks

I arrived for a business meeting at el vino at 5pm yesterday evening and was shown to a table I could have until 7pm. The table was completely wobbly but more importantly had not been cleaned as covered in drink stains. I called the waitress over and asked has this table been sanitised and it was very wobbly. I received no response but the table was sprayed and the paper towel used to spray the preceding table was rolled up and put under the leg. I was then approached by someone asking me for change. To get into the restaurant you have to queue and be seated so I wondered how he got in. Anyway on line I ordered a bottle of pinot noir. The wine arrived very quickly and as it was being poured it looked almost like a rose. My self and my friend both thought it didn’t look right so tasted it. It tasted dreadful. I went up and called the waitress and her response was oh we’ve had a lot of trouble with corked wines. I replyed it’s not corked but there is something very wrong. The manager was called who said ok do you want a Melbec. We said yes and a bottle was literally thrown on the table. The first bottle was opened and poured this as a screw too was rudely put on the table. I am not paying £32 for a bottle of melbec so I would like some sort of refund and I suggest your staff receive a little more training

We were staying nearby in the Dixon Hotel & dropped in here for drinks. What a great location. We sat in the outdoor area where tables were very well spaced out for social distancing. We enjoyed a great bottle of rose wine at a reasonable price whilst people watching. Service was good but I would have preferred staff to be wearing masks whilst serving & I'd rather pour my own wine so that there is less staff contact. Apart from that they were doing a great job coping with the new restrictions

I booked a table for 7 for bottomless brunch on Saturday 12th October. When we arrived we were informed that it actually wasn't bottomless, but a maximum of 4 drinks per person. The staff said they are having ongoing problems with their marketing department about this and judging by other reviews, it seems it has been this way for a few months now. And yet, they still have large posters in their windows saying 'Bottomless Brunch'. The additional note is you can only stay for an hour and half. Nowhere online or in the restaurant does it say you can only have 4 drinks. For £35 it is not worth it, and it is false advertisement. We did not order anything here and went elsewhere. A complete waste of our time, especially as we spoke to the restaurant to confirm the booking by phone, so they could have told us there. They're obviously hoping people will decide to stay once they're already there. Really terrible.I've only given this an extra star because the staff were really polite.

This place looked fascinating when we passed it earlier in the week so we thought we'd make a reservation for Friday night. When we walked up minutes before our reservation time we noticed the place was packed. So packed in fact that some people had spilled out into the outdoor seating even though it was 2 degrees outside. When we walked in there was no staff in sight, so we squeezed past other people to the bar and questioned a staff member about it. He just looked bewildered and told us to sit down wherever we could. There were no other seats, so we left and went down the street to Brigade and had a much nicer time.

I came here after work (as I work within the complex) with a colleague for dinner - we booked in advance after looking at their website and because we knew we were eligible to use my taste card as a "241".In agreement with the most recent reviewer we found service to be very slow. I had to go to the bar to order the food we wanted (after around 20 minutes) and when we came in we hung around by the door for a long time whilst the staff chatted - I had to interrupt to them to ask where our table was. We also had to go to the bar to pay as no one came to take payment for a long time. When we looked at the menu we were very disappointed with the options - there were only sharer plates or "for the table" options such as crisps, nuts etc., The online menu had shown individual main meals so we were quite disappointed that there were such no options in the restaurant - (with the exception of one item: a hot dog as the waitress correctly pointed out). The platters were a strange mix of foods - black pudding/scotch egg/chips/tangy tomato sauce for example. One thing I should point out - the staff were all very friendly when they did serve us - the Manager especially - and he did ask if the food had been okay too. The bar had a great atmosphere but I think having a meal in there was a bad idea! I'm sure it's a great venue for post work drinks but there are many better places for eating out in London Bridge and I wouldn't recommend this as one.

I met up with former colleagues after work on a Friday and as expected the place was heaving. That said the staff there were very attentive & they struck the perfect balance between friendliness and efficiency. The drinks were served efficiently and the Tapas arrived in good time. I found the portions a tad on the small side but what lacked in quantity was made up for in quality. The sausages in particular were morish. There is nothing gimmicky about the place; what you see is what you get. It is the service with a smile that spoke to me though and based on this I would recommend a visit if you are in the area. A big shout out to the manager who not only checked up on tables herself, but also stored my shopping for me in their staff room. This really, really impressed!

Stumbled upon here, whilst looking for somewhere near London Bridge to have a drink & a bite to eat. Menu is conducive to sharing which was perfect for us. We ordered a bottle of NZ Sauvignon, a little on the pricey side at over £26 but I figured it was about average for central London? For food we ordered prawns, goats cheese & Spanish tortilla plus a portion of flatbread. The waiter delivered our first dish (prawns) which came with lemon, a finger bowl & an empty plate (we thought after this was probably for the prawn tails) but he seemed to think it should have something else on it, so went away to check. He came back & confirmed it was meant to be empty, but as he'd raised our expectations brought us some complimentary olives. I'm so glad he did as these were fab! Big & juicy with a sprinkling of sea salt (& stoned too which was a pleasant surprise).I've got to say we were expecting the food to be quite mediocre & fairly average. We were wrong. The prawns tasted fabulous, real flavour & a gutsy sauce to accompany them. The tortilla too was lovely. Full of flavoursome potatoes and probably one of the better ones I've had. We were informed a lot of the food comes fresh from Borough market, and that the Spanish tortilla is made by a Spaniard locally. It shows & they should definitely make more of this as it wasn't evident that I could see. We also sampled the Expresso Martinis which again, I couldn't fault. Great setting with good views of the Shard, just up the road from London Bridge tube. Well worth a visit if you're in this part of town.
