Food was ok, a little bland this time. Service wasn’t great either. Had to ask a few times for tap water and cutlery etc. Pancakes were nice though, the peanut butter and granola ones are delicious.

It’s our tradition to have brunch on Christmas Eve, we’ve been coming to moose coffe for over 5 years now, love the place, the staff and the food. It’s even better now you can book a table as they are always busy.

Oh dear oh dear we visited as we had a bad experience in la Bottega next door … the place was in disarray (shortage of staff) we had two tea which were fine and the maple syrup pancakes which were cooked on the outside and stodgy part cooked inside not remotely fluffy … the maple syrup is of poor quality and nowhere near enough butter … we mentioned in passing the pancakes as we paid our bill and in fairness they were immediately removed from the the price … all the staff were very nice and very efficient we shall give them another try to determine if it was a one off

So busy on a Friday morning so booking definitely advised. Managed to squeeze us in for a table for two. We absolutely loved it, the food was delicious, so filling and the staff couldn’t have been more helpful or friendly.

After a long search for breakfast and coffee we ended up at this store in the city center! This is a chain store in the UK that is usually packed, so it's a good idea to book in advance before visiting! The place is especially beautiful and warm, with the deer everywhere in the place! We ordered two dishes with eggs, one with chicken and one with salmon, and were completely satisfied! Also, the staff was very friendly and helpful, while the prices were perfectly normal for the level of the city! If I had to say anything more it would have to do with the insistence of the waiters after a point about "if we want anything else", which was basically an urge to leave faster! I highly recommend it.

Came for breakfast. Only one female staff who seemed grumpy and curt. Commanded us to wait. So, we waited. Then, despite there being plenty of free tables, we were told we couldn't enter without a reservation. Fine. Won't be back there then. We thought Manchester was a friendly place, and it generally is. There are ways to communicate politely, and she clearly didn't understand them.

Party of 5, Sunday lunchtime, the restaurant was very busy. We were seated pretty quickly, there was a brief delay in getting our drinks, food was great, portions were large, everyone enjoyed their food. Service was good

We have always loved visiting Moose coffee, Manchester but were very disappointed at our most recent visit. My husband had eggs Benedict and found the hollandaise sauce flavourless and I found the pancakes dense not fluffy and light and the bacon was stiff and cold and not hot and crisp as we had enjoyed previous visits. The staff were not particularly attentive and we waited along time for our food. This will be our last visit to Moose Manchester….there are much better places to visit!

I have ordered in deliveru a monolith with waffle, what has arrived was egg with bacon halloumi a mix of poratos chorizo with toast. Is a complete different order and I have paid 2 things and I got one complete wrong and the other didn't come with the delivery. After call several times to the restaurant and nobody picked up the phone I have just to drop everything as I am vegetarian... Really dis

Beautiful breakfast. Mason was a wonderful server and we were glad to have been served by him. The french toast would be my recommendation, it was incredibly fluffy and amazing.

My first time trying here and I enjoyed it apart from the service as it is extremely busy. I had eggs benedict and it was one of the best I had ever and gluten free options are nice either.

Great place. You definitely need to book as so busy. The team is fast efficient and friendly. Menu is so huge and so much I wanted to try. The scrambled eggs with chorizo were tasty and delicious. Loved the decoration of the place as well. Would live one of the moose 🫎 pictures in my house.

The food is very bland, we eat out a lot and know good food, we wouldn’t recommend this cafe, much better place for breakfast, will not return.

this was a horrible experience, all the staff were unwelcoming and unprofessional. they gave me a wrong order and when i told them about it they disregarded it and told me it's not! management should do a better job with managing and communicating with their staff. after reading some comments i noticed the low ratings were from costumers with specific races, i will leave the conclusion to you.

The employee's behavior was very bad! She really made me feel uncomfortable and I didn't order any food and left.

Food was really good, the staff was awful. The average age of the workers looks like 17. Whatever I asked the look on their face was "let me ask Mommy". Wrong orders delivered in massive delay, on Wednesday morning. They told my 2yo she could not bring her own food inside, then refused to make her just regular pancakes because they were not on the menu. I will avoid in future.

I visited Moose Coffee for a quick breakfast. The atmosphere was very relaxing, the location is very central and convenient. The food was tasty, and scrambled eggs were perfectly cooked by Zoe. Lexi and Oscar were very nice and friendly, and real professionals. I would definitely recommend this little spot when visiting Manchester.

Overall great brunch, menu is quite extensive and everything looks great ! My friend had the avocado toast with bacon and cheese which was very generous; i had the combo eggs benedict but was a bit disappointed. Not a lot on the plate per se, the serrano ham one was nice but the mexican chicken was disappointing. We shared a french toast with banana and pecan which was delicious. Good size for coffees. Would return to try other plates like the pancakes!

We had a really delicious Sunday breakfast before catching the train home.

As part of our wedding anniversary weekend we visited Moose Coffee for brunch. A bit of an unknown and I was pleasantly surprised. The coffee was great and would give Tim Hortons a run for it's money. To eat the wife had the mighty moose. The potato hash is their main draw here. Very tasty. I had the Bronx which I would thoroughly recommend. Our waitress was Eve who was friendly and attentive. Mihai was the chef for the day. The atmosphere was friendly and relaxed. The restaurant was busy and the food came as you would expect during a busy period. Would thoroughly recommend giving this place a try.

Very good atmosphere and vibes - had lovely Christmas decorations. However, the waitress who took our order seemed rude and did not want to work there. I went there on Thursday for breakfast and I wanted the stacks with the Vegan Grande Bouche, which I thought was doable but the waitress (with short hair and did not seem like she was English, she was probably Eastern European) said apparently they can't do that and that I could only order the Vegan Grande Bouche (not the stacks) which made no sense! She was being lazy and did not want to be flexible, which was a shame as I was really looking forward to visiting this place. I had to go for the Vegan Grande Bouche which was decent, it was abit too sweet for my liking. There was another sweet waitress (who had a bun and seemed British) who gave me cinnamon and was generally sweet. I also phoned them the evening before to ask if they did vegan pancakes and the lady who spoke to me on the phone said they did but when I went there the following day, the waitress with short hair said they didn't! I suspect she was the same person who answered my phone call as she seemed unbothered about the customers and probably biased. All in all, good atmosphere and vibes but some staff (particularly the lady with short hair who looked Eastern European) needs retraining in customer service!

The food is good, but unfortunately it was ruined for us. The staff's behavior is extremely bad They really wanted us to leave as soon as possible There is no service in the true sense of the word Even when we asked for the rest of the food with us, they threw the travel boxes at us on the chair and walked away with contempt, and when I asked for a bag, they did not give us by hand. They threw it on the table, but it was a bag!!!!! I'm really surprised by how they treated you.. The staff's behavior was really bad, I didn't expect to be treated this way by them, I didn't do anything bad to them, my family and I were really polite and calm.. It was as if we came to eat breakfast without paying.. I asked them for the rest of the food to take away, they brought the food boxes and threw them on the chair, then I asked them for a bag and they threw it on the table, they didn't even respond to talking to us.. It's really strange and it made me really sad..

Excellent choice of breakfast before the train back to Leeds, staff were very accomodating even as a Walk In. Had a better experience here than trying to get in the Leeds bracn the day before. They even charged up my phone for me when asked, as I had forgotten my charger and was about to travel. Quick Service but not rushed, polite and interactive even when busy, good communication on waiting for our food. Good sized portion's and price, I got the Jersey Benedicts and was not disappointed, my friend got a breakfast and really enjoyed it too. The girls serving were very efficient and I would recommend it for anyone in Manchester, the coffee was good as well.😁👍🙏

I went for brunch with a friend and was offered a table outside..even tho we had prebooked (it’s November). When we got our table the staff said they didn’t have any Bacon, Sausage or Chicken, not a great start. We ordered drinks and food together and we sat for 40 minutes and hadn’t received an ORANGE JUICE. All the tables around us who came in after had both their drinks and food before us. We decided to walk out as it doesn’t take 40 minutes for avocado on toast never mind to even get a drink. The hostess did not bother to say anything as we walked out, this service is not acceptable. I have visited the Moose Coffee on Dale Street and received excellent service so clearly this is a problem with the staff in Manchester

Amazing breakfast, word of warning though, definitely book in advance, we booked a table for 10 am, glad we did, people was queuing out of the door to get in, booked solid all day unless you like sitting outside, food was delicious

Moose is always busy for a reason! The food is incrediblly delicious, and there is a large variety of sweets and savoury options. The pancakes are massive, and the portion sizes are extremely generous overall. The coffee they serve here is delicious, and the staff are always very attentive. I'd definitely recommend for the best breakfast/brunch options in Manchester!

Visited with my sister and mum. The European staff lady with curly hair and really looked after us and made a fuss of making sure we were happy with the service and food. French toast was freshly made and lovely. Will visit again.

We ordered two vegan dishes - the scrambled tofu and the avocado toast alongside coffee and orange juice and it tastes really good. Unfortunately the service was poor as it took them a lot of time to take orders from us or it took up to 25 minutes to serve us with the food we ordered. When they did, one of the dishes wasn't vegan as we asked for even though we verified it multiple times beforehand. All in all, my husband and I recommended this place, though if you are really hungry, the vegan options are not as big as their other options

Great place for breakfast with lots of choice. Waitress was super friendly and upgraded my table to a booth which was very kind. I stupidly ordered a maple syrup hot chocolate and my main meal came with syrup so it was a little overwhelming but otherwise a great meal

It was a very busy place, and the food looked good. We only went for a coffee, if I marked it on the coffee it would be a minus. I had an espresso and it really wasn't nice.

Thought we'd pop into Moose Coffee for a quick breakfast before heading back to MK but didn't realise it was so popular that there was a 45min wait in the que to get a table. The staff did however let everyone on arrival know how long to expect a table and gave out menus for perusal while waiting and offered alternative places to eat for those not wanting to wait. Besides it being busy the staff were super friendly and patient, the restaurant was clean and the food and coffee were great and we didn't wait long for anything once seated.

I recently visited Moose Coffee in Manchester, and it was unfortunately disappointing. The food was bland and uninspired, with no sauces or condiments provided, which left the dishes lacking in flavor. For the price, it didn’t feel like good value — especially with an extra £1 charge just to switch my eggs from fried to scrambled. Small charges like that add up and leave a poor impression. When it came time to pay, the experience felt unnecessarily drawn out as the staff member handling the till was busy chatting with friends, which only added to the frustration. To top it off, the card machine even prompted me to leave a tip, which felt ironic given the overall experience. The only positive part of the visit was the mocha, which was genuinely enjoyable. But otherwise, it didn’t feel like the experience or quality was worth the price. If you’re looking for a satisfying breakfast in Manchester, I’d recommend trying elsewhere. Moose Coffee looks promising, but unfortunately, it didn’t deliver.

Stale waffles, nasty coffee. The potato hash tasted of under boiled potatoes (with blight) rolled in rancid oil. The bacon was old and brittle.

Arrived just after 8am on Sunday. Place was empty bar 2 tables and was asked if we had booked. Then told we could only eat outside. With young children we were hardly going to eat outside. Couple behind us went to walk away as they also hadn't booked yet there was a table for them. Staff weren't helpful and won't be back

Moose Coffee is our go to place when we visit Manchester. Lovely food, heart portions and lovely staff.

Been loads of time before and it was always good however this time the waffles were inedible and I sent them back to the kitchen. But still force to pay for them with a £3 discount. No apology and rude staff. My mums breakfast was smothered in Nutella and the maple syrup was 100% watered down. Such a shame as use to be our favourite place for breakfast. The front of house staff was condescending rude and obviously not in the right profession as someone who mangers a successful happy restaurant. Hope it is just an off day for staff and it becomes a good place again.

The service and atmosphere were really nice and inviting and busy, which set the scene for us looking forward to our meal. The food itself was a surprise... We are vegetarian, so that might have affected our experience a bit. The pancakes and the hot drinks (toffee nut hot chocolate and pumpkin spice latte) were good, sweet and flavourful and nice fluffy texture of the pancakes. I love potatoes in all forms...but now I'll need to say almost all forms. The potato hash was the biggest letdown; bland even with the onions and fried onions and whatever else was on it, a weird crumbly barely cooked texture. I ordered extra because I thought I'd love it and didn't even finish my first portion. We also had their version of huevos rancheros which was...better than the hash. In short, go for the sweet stuff on the menu, not the savoury.

We had wanted to go to moose for a long time and chose our daughters birthday to treat her. Wow it was definitely worth the wait we all thoroughly enjoyed everything about moose. We will definitely be back

Absolutely gorgeous food. However the service was lacking. We asked for drinks which had been added to the bill but never arrived. Yes it was busy but the service should still be good and be made to feel welcome.

Had an amazing brunch at Moose Coffee York Street this week. The food was truly delicious (cooked by Minai). We had pancakes benedict & eggs benedict and it was one of the tastiest brunches ever. Our waitress Emily was amazing, very attentive even though it was super busy. Also thanks to India for seating us in the fabulous booth. We'll definitely be back next time we're in Manchester :)

Book a table or bench prepared to wait, this place is busy for a reason. The best french toast, bacon and maple syrup, I have ever had.

The only thing they’re generous with is the length of their spoon handles. They’re shorter only than the queue. Some chutzpah to call the pot of tea ‘generous’ when it just about fills one (dirty) cup. Expect a queue to be seated and then a 30-minute wait for drinks and a further 30 minutes for your food. Food is decent. But waffles tasted store-bought. Outside atmosphere isn’t great. Water falling off the awnings occasionally and umbrellas blocking a nice sunny day. Inside looked much better. Like the name, though.

This cozy little spot is a gem for breakfast lovers. The Lula Bacon dish was absolutely delightful - perfectly cooked bacon, creamy avocado, and a perfectly poached egg. It was clear that the food was made with care and passion. The staff was friendly and attentive, making the experience even more enjoyable. Unfortunately, it was a very chilly, which was a minor drawback. However, the warmth and flavor of the food more than made up for it. I would definitely recommend this place for a delicious and satisfying breakfast.

Tried their simple pancake and it was amazing! The coffee was great as well! Service was also super friendly as I was served by Oscar. He kept checking on me and very kind to make sure all was ok. Overall very good experience! No wonder they have been expanded to some other locations and become an infamous joint in the city! Location is also super central, a good fit for workers or tourist who stroll around the city.

We had a lovely breakfast there. Great food! Despite the fact they forgot it was a special occasion (a birthday) food was great. We even bough a diner cup to take home.

We've tried to go to Moose a couple of times and failed to get in. This time we booked! It's well worth it. Great North American style breakfasts, reasonably priced and well served. Great range of choice. Really good.

Fantastic menu, food just as good with great friendly service

Had the worst dining experience there. Waitress forgot our drink order twice during the entire dining time. It was five of us went there and she forgot our drink order for the first half hour, not even bothering give us any water, we have three young kids with us that day. So I asked her where were the drink she came again to made order but only remembered half of the order, come on, how hard was to remember add 5 drinks while for the second time I asked the same thing!!!! The food was just alright , any Cafe house in Manchester can make them. The attitude of the staff there was the most unpleasant part, we definitely won’t go back again and will tell our friends to avoid going.

Lovely American style brunch. The food and service were excellent. Thoroughly enjoyed the daily special coffee. It’s the perfect cafe for catch up with friends/ family or a cheeky date. The cafe if also pet friendly which was perfect for our little cat (he enjoyed the blueberry pancakes).

Breakfast on a sunday morning. I was lucky enough to go to New York a couple of years back and I love diners, now this does dinner food but at more realistic sizes not saying the portions are small but some of the stuff you get in America is massive I had bronx hash my wife high line my daughter waffles with chocolate spread a couple of juices and a couple of coffees (mine diner style my wife Hazelnut latte)all was good served in nice surroundings there are a couple around it's worth a visit
