Hard Rock Cafe in Manchester

Always loved the idea of Hard Rock Cafe, I’ve been in twice now since writing this and I’ve loved it. I remember working on the doors underground like 5 years ago and it always brings back memories. The Diablo burger is to die for it’s really that good, sadly I didn’t get a pic when I had it the first time. Note for Hard Rock Cafe would be that for some extra money, there should be an option for a group by booking to come in and take photos of the stuff on the wall maybe like an hour before public opening for a small price since getting pictures whilst the place is open is hard and awkward for guests.

It was very quiet staff weren't overly friendly drinks overpriced for what they were. £40 for two drinks and plate of Nachos..

Everyone was very nice and helpful. The food was a little lacking for the price, HardRock relies on the brand rather than the quality of the food for the price point.

The waiter that served us was so friendly, accommodating I couldn't do enough for you. As I am gluten and wheat free intolerance . They had a Pacific menu for people that are intolerant to wheat. They also made sure that they had covered all the areas when cooking the food. I was very impressed. A lovely place to go and pictures of rock singers

Strange thing, you can't get a shake for take away. Huh. But they have all the things, the food is as to be expected and the staff is wonderfully cheerful.

We spent New Year's Eve and it was a lot of fun. Live band, karaoke and exquisite food. Your team of incredible employees.

Visited on a Friday afternoon so it wasn't too busy and have to say, the Diablo burger was really good. No problem swapping out the meat burger for a vegetarian option for the non meat eaters. The barbecue sauce ordered for the fries was something special. Special mention goes to Andy, who was our server, he explained about all the items on display on the walls and some good recommendations of places to visit in Manchester. Look forward to visiting next time I'm in Manchester. 10/10

I visit Hard Rock Cafe in every new country I visit… I must say my experience here in Manchester was definitely the most enjoyable. Amazing food as always, great staff and lovely venue!

Hard Pop Cafe... just pop music, no Rock during the 2 hours that I have been there!

We visited this restaurant last night and enjoyed the food even if our first choice the fajitas were not available that we found disappointing since they don't have a big menu in the first place. Also the Messi toy was advertised on the kids menu but not available that was disappointing for our son. The service was pretty slow, even when we asked for desserts and bill.

A name that makes this place hugely popular. You can sit and gaze at the walls that are covered in music memorabilia whilst listening to rock music through the ages in an MTV of old style with TV screens playing the videos of days gone by. The food is average and by no means lives up to the enthusiastic prices. But no matter as people go here for the name, the history, the t-shirt and the legacy.

I can recommend it to everyone who goes there!

Why does the staff play “games” with the guests?

Safety for allergies. They ask you about it before taking the order. Nice meat cooked based on the request. Good ambient with good music and a little museum with musical objects.

Pre-book as busy nice place worth a visit

Lovely surroundings, but food is far too overpriced for what you get and the service wasn't fantastic for us. Will mot be returning to this restaurant, but will go to other restaurants in the chain.

Great place to visit before a gig. Great atmosphere and the staff are amazing. Typical Hard Rock, always great. Would recommend the Manchester one.

Food was great, atmosphere was great as always, service was very poor. Added 10% on the bill even though it was a different server every time. After the meal and after we had paid the bill, we was finishing our drinks and the server Abby asked us to "move to the bar area as someone was waiting for our table". After paying nearly £100 for two meals, I felt this was very unprofessional and impolite considering the bar area was very full and there was no where to sit. We had paid to sit at that table with no pre known time limit so why should we be forced to move

This is a place we always visit when we are in Manchester. We were in the area for hacienda at the warehouse project and we called in for some pre drinks before we got to the apartment. Great service and atmosphere as always and the drinks and cocktails were excellent. Visually a stunning venue and a music lovers heaven would highly recommend a visit if you're in the area!!

The entrance house was great, we were quickly sat down. I booked for my partner’s birthday had balloons, which was a great touch, but everything from there was a little downhill. Drink orders started off wrong miscommunication with the waiter, the waiter also didn’t know the menu was told there was no garlic bread when there was. (then made aware he is in training which we totally understood) When the food order did arrive that was incorrect, which was swiftly fixed, but then didn’t change it on the bill at the end. Food was rather plain nothing really exceptional for a hard rock. Little basic and boring and sauces and condiments tasted stale and not quite right. My meal the chicken fajita was sizzling, but the meat was cold. Overall quality of the food just seemed below average. No compensation offered at all, staff were friendly just not very helpful. For the price and cocktails we were left disappointed and underwhelmed. I visit every hard rock in every country I go to and unfortunately my hometown has to be the worst. The only reason it isn’t one star is because the staff were friendly.

Great vibe, great staff and most importantly - great food!

We came here to use some vouchers. Cool place to have some drinks and food. The ribs and tacos were good, however, the beef in the tacos was a bit chewy. Good atmosphere and decoration.

We were upstairs. The waitress was very friendly and efficient. The quality of the meals was good, but not extraordinary. I would only come back for a drink, but not to eat.

Staff very rude,attitude of barstaff dreadful. Explained to bar person i was next to be served and told he will serve him before me,inasked how come and was told because he can. Great attitude from staff even when trying to be helpful.....'NOT' Wont be visiting ever again

Absolutely no problems at all with Hard Rock. Until i queued along with another customer at a busy bar. We waited patiently to be served and the young male bar tender ignored us to serve a young man at the side of the bar who had just arrived. When challenged politely he turned to us and said"i am serving him" this male also stated that we were ahead of him but he still ignored us saying" i am serving him first" sorry but not acceptable!! When i highlighted this fact in a calm manner i was told to calm down!!! Sorry that was pure cheek and i walked away collected my wife and walked out to spend my hard earned cash in another nearby establishment. Training issues highlighted here.!!

The atmosphere is great as always! The cocktails are excellent and the staff are very friendly. All highly recommended!

Food was pretty poor specially for the price. £20 for a burger that tasted of gristle. Probably microwaved absolute joke. Burger was lukewarm and chewy. Eating the whole thing was a chore and it became very dry very fast. Then the waitress (I think) took my Espresso Martini off of me because I didn’t have ID but let me order it? Pretty piss poor service and they forgot the wraps for the fajitas ect. Wouldn’t come back again. Edit: Just got the desert and the brownie tastes of sand I think I could’ve put out the great fire of London with a single block. 3 Gallons of water is required just to have the concrete mix go down my oesophagus. Please for your own health dont order this artery clogging ‘dessert’

Service Carl was an absolute delight - very attentive and helpful. Large portions in the usual stylish hard rock flair.

Usually always visit when in Manchester, Budweiser on draft is always crisp and ice cold, and the service is always very good. Some great decor with outfits and musical instruments of the stars, and the food always looks good (although I haven’t eaten here) and they do a teatime BOGOF for certain drinks!

Very nice staff, great food and good ambience

It was Black Friday, probably one of the busiest days of the year. I give a round of applause to all the staff who kept it together and worked together. We were there for quite a while this evening and the restaurant was constantly full. just one booking after another. I'll give it to them. Our waiter, Jesus Ramon, was an absolute star. Although it was jam-packed, he still took the time to ask us how we were and gave us the full service smiling ear to ear. Probably one of the most genuine waiters we've ever had, without a doubt. It was my best friend's birthday as well, and he happily respected our request for a private singing of happy birthday instead of letting all the staff gather round us, as we're both a little shy. Whilst we were eating, this guy was in action every second. From running food, drinks, clearing tables, resetting tables, taking orders, going up and down the stairs. I hope he sees this review and realises that he's a legend and that if we ever come back to Manchester and eat here, it'll all be because of him. Cheers Jesus :))

Had to send the meal back because it was cold, fresh meal came back and it was only luke warm.

Been years since I've been to Hard Rock Cafe, I was in Manchester for the night with my son and he really wanted to go as he had seen the Messi menu,l. We were seated straight away and a waiter came over and took our drinks order and food order. Crayons and an activity sheet were provided and kept my son busy until the food came. We didn't have to wait long for our food even though the restaurant was really busy. Our waiter was great with my son and he came away really happy that we went. If the kids get the Messi menu at the end of the meal you take your receipt to the shop and they will receive a Messi toy which he was over the moon with. The food itself was lovely and there were no issues at all. It was interesting looking at all the memorabilia on the walls as well. In terms of pricing it was what I expected and probably right for a place such as this.

Have to say - the breakfast we had this morning was beautiful! £11.50 can’t ask for more than that - my poached eggs were perfect. Food was piping hot and cooked to high standard. Service was spot on (lovely man ginger beard, didn’t get his name) Thank you!!

Recently visited Hard Rocks cafe, I have to say that despite the inviting decor the service wasn't what I expected. Initially welcomed by a member of staff and told to find a table near the bar and someone would be over to take our order. However after 30 minutes and the girl at the bar just stood there my partner decided to ask if she was going to take our order. Her response was you order at the bar, and didn't really allow us to say that we had been advised differently. The service wasn't the most friendly I have to say and the drinks were just ok despite it being empty. I will give it a second chance but for the price of the drinks I'd expect better.

Good service, very low quality of food, we have been to hard rock in other European cities and the quality has always been good, not in Manchester.

Lovely food, friendly staff. All fine. Surprise 10% service charge that does not seem to appear on the menu at the door or on the website after I specifically looked. Staff member seemed happy to remove, but I didn't ask. It makes things really awkward. And in reply to the company's reply, what I'm understanding is you're intentionally setting your customers and employees up for a really awkward interaction without forwarning. That seems fairly unfair to all concerned, especially your staff, when a "* 10% service charge applies" on the menu would resolve it. Poor form, really.....

Great walk-in service, food came really quickly, staff were great.

All of us said that we would happily go back, with so much more on the menu that we all want to try! Every dish was huge, with portions being just what we wanted to keep us full on a busy day. The boys loved the Messi inspired meals and toys. So much so that they have put them up in their rooms to remember such a good day!

Very expensive. I was very disappointed with the coffee. The food is good. We wanted to eat “something small” here in between and drink a coffee - in the end we spent around €60 for two people. Completely overpriced. The coffee, an Irish coffee with rum and caramel, tasted far too strong in every component, so we didn't finish it. The food was good - we had a chicken/tuna salad and a nacho platter. The portions were also very large. The service is fast and the location, as usual in a HardRock Café, is coolly decorated. However, you don't have to go there just because of the furnishings - smaller cafes in Manchester that don't belong to a chain can make better use of the money.

Wonderful experience for me and my family the last time we visited

The boneless wings and chicken Messi burger had a lot of salt in them, to the point I could not finish them. I wanted to but my body said no. Staff were friendly and kind. Beer was nice.

Really lovely staff, lots of pieces of past artists guitars/instruments or outfits. I had ribs which were good, but not the best I ever had, I expected fall off the bone ribs, the ends were slightly burned and most ribs were a bit tough to get off the bone. Drinks were 2-for-1.

We always look forward to a visit to a hard rock cafe, and this did not let us down . Great service, which was attentive but not too much, just right. Everything was explained to us when we sat down, and we were asked if we had any dietary needs before we were asked for our order. The Hard Rock is only a five minute walk walk to the AO Arena, which was really handy . The merchandise area was quite small, but the service was good. One tip is if you buy any merchandise, buy it before you eat as if you fill in the questionnair, you can get a voucher for a few pounds off your bill.

I had food here and it was disgusting. The whole place was also freezing the whole time we were there.

They made us wait 47 minutes outside in the dark Just for our food to be barely cooked. Now my mates are throwin up, I dont recommend goin to this sitty place.

Hardrock café; a nice concept, the same map at every location. A beautiful location with many old "music attributes". We were there on Friday evening around 9 p.m., not smart, because then there is a performance and you can't hear each other. The food is basically like any location; not quite ;-) although the children see this differently. There was now a pink hamburger bun, say you don't want this, it tastes really different. Nice and nice service. Many types of beer on tap.

Just had drinks on a Friday night (after 9pm) it was 2 4 1, so a nice bargain. Great to walk about and it not being busy.

We celebrated my daughters birthday with a few delicious cocktails. The staff were great and the music awesome. The nachos we ordered to share were delicious. Had a problem with the taps in the ladies loos. There were a few of us trying to get some water to wash our hands !! It took awhile. The photo booth wasn't working which was disappointing too. We had a great afternoon. 😊

Came to Manchester for the first time last weekend. Always love a good hard rock cafe, foods always great and service too. We had the fortune of meeting Andrew our server, and wanted to give him a shout out in the hope he's recognised for his epic customer service, professionalism and friendliness. Happily helping us out, getting us fed and talking about Manchester and where to visit.. he's clearly in love with the city and his passion hearing about various history and places to check out was lovely. He made this visit, it's always unusual to come across a waiter so positive and generally happy to talk to you! Props to Andrew. Hard rock is built on people like yourself, without people like yourself it's just another restaurant. The restaurant itself is big, plenty of seating, great atmosphere, great music importantly and great food.

Mac and cheese is bland. Over priced. Torpelo chicken and chips. Bland. over priced. Tots nice but over priced. Nachos nice. Boneless chicken wings half of them were inedible chicken - brown meat, joked it must have been a buffalo mouse! Service was good but not personable - doing a job! Wrong drinks twice. Overall, for the cost, and the meh food, wouldn’t return! Atmosphere is always loud and usually enjoyable. £5 for guac in a small tub - robbery.

My girlfriend and I visited Hard Rock Cafe for my birthday and we had a lovely time, our waitress Emily was attentive and helpful despite service being busy. Food was amazing and very filling, the Hot Fudge Brownie is immense!

We came yesterday after an event we attended in Manchester, having never been before we were excited to try the food. The loaded tots were lovely, but I wasn't keen on the bbq trio. Which was unfortunate as the atmosphere of the place is great and the staff are attentive.

Was very quiet when we visited so was lacking any atmosphere and the Ribs seem to have gone downhill since my last visit. Staff great as always though.

We were greeted by Steven who was our table host, my partner was coeliac, so was Steven which was brilliant as he provided all of his knowledge for the menu, got us a GF menu and took our drink orders. The manager Rik then came over to calm us down again with the whole process, explained how they have regularly sanitised areas for all GF food and said Steven is our perfect man! Steven was great, took his time with us, even had a little chat. He was so friendly and honestly made the night fantastic for us! It was our first time at Hard Rock Cafe and it won’t be our last! One of the best experiences we’ve had in a long time! Steven is a credit to the team and we couldn’t have been happier with our night!

The employees are very nice, attentive and accommodating! The shop is fantastic, all sizes are in stock. The ambience is outstanding, for me it is one of the most beautiful Hard Rock Cafes next to Orlando! The food is, as usual, delicious and fresh. Brilliant place, live music, great food, staff are very friendly.

Our server was quite rude. He told us we couldn't order a drink until everyone arrived. He was very stressed I could see so we didn't moan.. but we won't be going back. Last time I went to a hard rock the staff were amazing..A bouncer also appeared half way through out meal staring at everyone which made us uncomfortable 😐...don't go I'd advise 😅
