Taco Tuesday was fab. Great food and good vibe

First visit on a Tuesday, absolutely fantastic food! Can't recommend it enough! Lots of choices in the area but don't miss out on here

Very tasty burritos and tacos! I had the California surf burrito, great flavours, my sister had the quesabirria, very indulgent and cheesy. My wife had the Baja shrimp tacos, which were mostly quite tasty but the sauce was too vinagery and overwhelmed the shrimp, which were worth tasting. A slight tweak to the ratio would be nice!

Went here it was great the portions are good . The only thing I revert was not getting the shrimp tacos they were much better than the ones I got. The chicken ones I got were too salty.

What went wrong? We came to Manchester a year ago and stumbled across Liquor and Burn, took a gamble and discovered some of the best affordable US-style Mexican street food we had had in the UK. A year later we planned a trip with the specific aim of going back to L&B. It has changed. The birria, probably the highlight of our first trip, was extra greasy this time, tasting of cheese and fat and little else (the meat was mostly flavourless). In fact, the table next to us commented how their food tasted of nothing but cheese. The chicken and shrimp tacos would have been fine but were smothered in over flavoured condiments that ruined the subtle flavours of the dishes. All we could taste was vinegar, leaving us feeling sick around 30 minutes after leaving. Today we're reaching for the Rennies. On the plus side, the staff were lovely. The frozen Margs were tasty too. Vibe was weird (edgy sweary slogans on the wall were prime cringe), and upon arrival there was no indication as to whether we should find a table or wait to be seated. The place wasn't particularly busy but nobody seemed to want to help. It's such a shame. We had an amazing experience on our first visit but this time it didn't even reach mid. It was terrible. I'm not even sure I would have rated the food 2/5 but I'm giving an extra half mark for the frozen margs. Unfortunately I can't see myself going back. At least unless things change and plenty of solid sources say as much. Not worth the 3 hour drive. Wouldn't even bother if it was a 3 minute walk.

Burritos were amazing - looked just like the pictures. Large serving, really tasty and served promptly. Frozen margaritas were 241. Boozy on first sip but again really tasty. Loved it here! Will be back.

Waited 10+mins in an empty restaurant, no service even for drinks. Waitresses saw us several times waiting patiently and ignored us and with them charging 10% service charge we weren’t going to get up and get their attention. Disappointed.

I've been to this restaurant several times and booked a table using the OpenTable app, which was very convenient. We arrived early, and the staff quickly accommodated us. They provided us with a chilled water bottle, nachos, and salsa as soon as we sat down, which was a nice touch. We ordered burritos, and my youngest had the Chicken Caesar while I had the Firebird (VE). I was unsure about the hot sauce, but the helpful waitress brought me a small tub to taste, helping me decide, and I was won over. Both of our burritos were delicious and generously sized. The staff was attentive and friendly, making it a great experience. I highly recommend this restaurant!

Simple menu but all delicious. Plus the 2 for 1 margaritas is a huge bonus.

Was nice but afterwards I’m convinced there were laxatives in them burritos, also the firebird blew my face off, was still nice.

I got the Birria tacos. Now I've eaten a lot of tacos in my time. These were without a doubt the best tacos I've eaten in my life. I didn't take photos this time because I could not wait to get these things inside my mouth. Great price and 2-4-1 on all margs. If I'm ever in Manchester again I will definitely be returning.

We come here all the time and it’s excellent, tried the shrimp burrito today and have food poisoning so i’d just stay clear of that if you go in, service and the rest of the food was mint just avoid that.

Really poor service, ordered 3 meals with chips and only 1 was brought out with 3 portions of chips. Was offered 50% off the additional 2 meals but ended having to wait an additional half an hour whilst the rest of the food went cold. Overall the service was terrible and this place has gone downhill massively.

What an experience! I had attended this fine eatery (LLLB) a handful of times prior to this visit. Once again, convincing the other-half to get her glad rags on and have a shimmy-on downtown for some decent Friday night cuisine. If memory serves, we were amidst an early evening session just around the corner, steaming as a rocket whence we decided to attempt to book a table (for two) so I bellsed them up and without boo-to-a-goose, we were booked and present. Easy slip-in, greeted, seated and watered within five minutes. Keeping in-theme, we ordered salty cocktails as an entree, likely Margaritas, with a lager (pint) chaser. Following quantitive studies of the food menu we concluded that a mix-n-match of sides (to share) would be appropriate, given our current state. As follows; - Chicken Blasts (the menu may well have changed but I am convinced these were Korean-style) it now reads as 'buffalo', either way they were four times lush and blew my B*ll*cks off (no complaints, spice is nice) - Topped fries / Seasoned fries - respectively; topped will all-sorts of good spicy and counter-spicy components / well seasoned. - Halloumi fries (deep fried) just the right balance to help us make it through the night. - L&B burrito (or its former name - review based off current menu) absolute marvel in the burrito game here. Absolutely packed to the rafters, full-flavour, and it's food like this that is responsible for me having a rear-end like the HMS Belfast. 10/10. Where quality is concerned, it was full-flow easy-going no-nonsense food. The venue is bright, light and pretty at night. Great location and mostly (for where remained undiscovered) clean. We weren't badgered with suggestive ordering upon requesting we just order a few sides, not full meals. Where service is concerned; LLLB hosts delightful and attentive staff who were welcoming and engaged throughout. These are a credit to this venue and 100% add to the atmosphere. Just at the lust minute!

Having lived close by for 5-6 years I was a frequent visitor but it really isn't what it used to be. I've watched it change little-by-little whilst still frequently enjoying the overall experience. Went in earlier in the week and since my last visit I was pretty gutted to see there have been further changes. The chicken blasts which were always amazing & covered in sauce are now smaller, in different coating, served dry with a small pot of sauce on the side whilst two halfs of a jalepeno rest on two quarters of corn on the cob. No more mad burritos with halloumi, fries and rice (now you pick either rice or fries - and no, 1/2 & 1/2 not allowed). Why fix something that was never broken? The queso fundito was good and I really enjoyed the popcorn octopus special but it's one compromise too far for me. For the last time we left with full tummies, regrets and empty hearts. :-(

What happened to the original chicken blasts 😢 Food was tasty but just not for me - the best thing was the sweetcorn on the side of the chicken blasts. The cheeseburger taco used to be amazing and is now a burger, which I don’t think it needs to be. The chicken blasts used to be so saucy and honestly, the best buffalo chicken we’d ever had (& we’ve had a lot) but is now dry chicken strips with sauce on the side. A heartbreaking rating of 3 because genuinely, this used to be our favourite place but it’s just the same (for us anyway) For anyone new, the food is still great & the staff are super attentive 👌🏼

This place was nice with good food and excellent service. We wished there was a lityle more on the menu but what we had was tasty. A nice bar that serves food.

Had to wait around 45 minutes for food to arrive. The staff were nice and apologetic but we had no warning that it was going to take that long. Table that came in before us also had a long wait. Table that came in after us got their food relatively quickly (10mins or so). Was frustrating as foods good but on a Sunday 2pm 45mins wait for 2 burritos wasn’t great. Don’t blame the staff but would have liked a warning for potential waits on food because there’s a large group or somthing ( if there was one I’m still not sure). Food was good when it came, hopefully was just a one off experience.

Went on a busy bank holiday and managed to get squeezed in upstairs. Food was incredible as always and my family enjoyed it, we will be back again!

The man serving us with rude off the bat, mansplaining the difference between rice and fries all because we couldn’t hear him over the music. Then called us “fatty” because we wanted fries?? Completely unwarranted behaviour and then to top it off the food finally arrived after an hours wait and was cold.

There are two things to talk about here - the service and the setup, and the food. The food was definitely the positive side. Since there were three of us, and the tacos come in portions of three, we decided to get 5 and split them all, which was a good amount for us as taco lovers and meant we got to try different ones. We had the birria, popcorn shrimp, holy frijole, no beefin’, and al pastor. The No Beefin’ wasn’t that great and the vegan cheese was really strong. The holy frijole was very tasty, but the hard shell taco made it a complete mess to try and pick up as it instantly fell apart. The stars were definitely the birria and shrimp which were excellent. The al pastor was still great, but my pork was a little dry. We also had a few margaritas, which were good and welcome at two for one since they were a little small (to be expected with a permanent 241 offer). Beyond the food however, it was a bit of a mess. We had booked in advance via OpenTable, not realising that the entire restaurant is just walk-ups and there was seemingly no point in reserving. You have to order your food at the bar, for which there was always a long queue, despite multiple people being behind the bar only one was taking orders at that point. When I went to ask a question of one behind the bar, she just told me to go to the end of the line. Eventually we flagged down a girl who was walking around and she said to take a seat anywhere, but ‘as a favour since you booked’ she would come over to our seat to take the order. We were seated outside across the road from the main section, which was nice to enjoy the weather, but was devoid of all the atmosphere in the main seating area which was already full at 6pm on a Tuesday. When we were ready to order, she was nowhere to be found, so I wandered inside to again be told by the rude bar staff member to just go to the back of the line. After waiting in the queue, I was told by a different girl I needed a table number to order despite us being the only ones sat in that section, which I wasn’t told before, and hadn’t spotted as it was scribbled in Sharpie in the middle of the large table. When I returned with the number the second girl was nowhere to be seen. I managed to order food with a guy behind, but it then took 40 minutes to arrive. The original server who seated us and the one who said I needed the table number did eventually apologise when they dropped off the food/drinks, but it was all just a bit of a shambles. There were so many members of staff just aimlessly wandering around while queues of people wanting to order lined up. It really seems there could be better use of resources to take orders at tables or greet/welcome people, as it really isn’t initially clear (particularly if you’ve reserved a table online) what you’re expected to do. In its current form, I wouldn’t bother taking bookings if the resulting policy is that it’s still first come first served on seats and ordering at the bar.

Nice personal, interesting Vibe, quiet old stuff. Burrito was Tasty, tacos not So much. Margharita was overpriced and not good. We have been waiting too long.

Great establishment. Much less pretentious than a number of its counterpart drinking holes in the Northern Quarter. Great drinks selection and music. Can get quite cramped when busy and staff attention to detail e.g who is next to be served or the proactiveness of table clearance could be improved. Great selection of drinks including cocktails. Great location and decor. Solid 4 star.

Top tacos, killer cocktails, awesome atmosphere.

Ordered margaritas, tacos and quesadillas. Despite having a reservation we waited 50 minutes for our food. It arrived cold and so greasy it we nearly couldn’t eat it. We never got a chance to say this to the staff since they didn’t come back after serving our food, hence we had to go to the till and wait standing there to pay. We’ve visited this place in the past and always enjoyed the food - service has always been inexplicably slow!- but this time was it for us. Won’t be coming again anytime soon.

Food was very tasty, service was ok. It would be nice if drinks, etc. were brought to table.. esp being the only customers.

Burritos and fries were so delicious, had the vegan chicken burrito & it was nice to see a different vegan option. Cool vibe stunning food!!!

For me service wasn’t anything to brag about, long waits. One of us got our meal before the other and had to wait quite a while. Had to ask for the bill as we were sat waiting for a while. The food menu is a little limited and the selection a bit odd. I wasn’t a fan on the salsa and the burrito wasn’t wrapped well. The cheese on the taco was really over whelming even for a cheese lover! Not too expensive overall, also rude posters on the wall so wouldn’t recommend for younger ones. The music was quite loud and the tables awkward placement. Sadly I think I’d give this a miss next time im in the area.

Visited today around 1pm, wasn’t particularly busy and food still took over 25 minutes to arrive and when it did, stone cold. Tacos had clearly been left waiting on side. Used to be great here, will not be trying again any time soon

We went here for drinks and really should have left when the margaritas were served in something more akin to a whiskey glass. But we had a go at their version of a paloma. The tequila in these drinks was just non-existent, so I don’t know where the namesake of this restaurant comes from. The size of the margaritas for the price was criminal.

Wasn't very impressed. We sat in the bar downstairs and it felt a little unclean generally. Paid £14 for a beef burrito and it was average. Beef was a bit dry, which implies its reheated (just my view though). Friend ordered tacos and they just looked greecy. This place was self service, as had to order at the bar. Didn't take pictures as it wasn't worth it due to how average it looked.

I got stood up for a date and got talking to the staff who all sympathised with me (shout-out Alex) and I got free shots. The food is also insane and very well priced

Boy howdy this place has changed, what happened? Where have all the cocktails gone? Where has the great food selection gone? The Almost Famous, the Big Easy, the Taco Roulette, the Quesallas‽ The burrito I had had OK flavours, but there was hardly any chicken and tons of sauce; nothing like they used to be. So disappointing.

Food was great lively atmosphere. Mix of people and great drinks to go along side the food sticking to what they know and doing it well!

I used to love this place but it isn’t like it used to be. Last time I visited my burrito was missing half the fillings and the chicken tacos are not worth the money, the portion is tiny. The menu has also become MUCH smaller, and a lot of my favourite items such as the famous af burrito, and the quesadilla have been taken off. (If you google the old menu you’ll see how amazing it used to be!!) - The staff are friendly and the cocktails are good, but it has definitely changed over the last couple of years (not for the better unfortunately).

WAITED 50 MINS FOR A BAG OF DORITOS WITH TOPPINGS (£9.5), I GOT HANGRY! Food was somewhat OK when it finally arrived. Service was non existent.

Great spot in NQ, food has always been delicious, good serving sizes and efficient service. Make sure to book in the evenings and weekends as it fills fast.

Nice place to eat in the northern Quarter can be a bit of a wait for food but worth it, gets very busy

What an awful experience we had! Booked our table a few days before for 6.30pm. Arrived at 6.25 and waited downstairs for 10 mins to only be told that we needed to go for food upstairs (no clue as had never been before.) Went upstairs and waited for another 5 mins again. Finally got seated. Water was brought to our table but didn’t get a chance to order drinks. Big table of 6 that walked in after us ordered drinks right away and drinks came very quick. We shouted over to staff if we could order our drinks and food at the same time, as by this point we had been there a bit. Ordered, and still 20 mins later no drinks arrived. Got up and left and told the staff to cancel our order as they had forgotten about our drinks. Was very loud in there- no consideration for smaller tables- only focused on getting the big groups sorted. Staff member offered to sit us downstairs and get us 2 free drinks. Said no thankyou as would would have only been waiting for them as well. Walked out and went somewhere else better! Avoid!!! Terrible customer service!!

Cocktails were lovely and friendly staff, but portion sizes quite small for the price you pay. We went on a day when food was 50% off which was great but I think without offers the price is a bit steep. Some vegetarian options but could be more.

The roasted cauliflower was really nice, just not really impressed with the chicken,it was dry and overcooked,the staff were very busy, and not able to be attentive, waited ages for our meals,the food was only just warm, and everything was just over done ,over complicated, maybe just not my style of food , not sure ,? won't be rushing back. Took half of the meal home,to throw away next day?

Burritos and birria tacos were very nice. The wait staff were all friendly and helpful but both the drinks and food service was slow, especially considering it was at roughly 3pm.

We attended as a hen do and the staff were so accommodating! The email organisation was excellent and the food, drinks and atmosphere was amazing on the night! Thank you so much to Lucy and the team for having us :)

Had the quesa birria, was a bit overwhelming with the burned cheese around the tacos. It was crying out for something to cut through the grease. Pints were good as was frozen margaritas. It did get a bit annoying when a big group of loud guys entered, so we left because we couldn’t hear each other. Also they need to sort the table/stool situation. The stools are not compatible with the tables.

Food was amazing, service was great and friendly and prices were very reasonable for central Manchester. Really enjoyed eating here and cannot reccomend it enough. We left very full and happy!

Came here Friday evening with a friend, although empty at the start it quickly filled up with groups of people drinking and having a good time. Food was tasty but took ages to come out and we found hard pieces of shrimp shell in our burrito. Music was also very loud which although expected for a busy Friday night made having conversations difficult. Other than that had a really wonderful time and a good selection of options on the menu.

Nice and friendly staff, fixed us table even tough there were none spare. Good food, quite tasty, spicy, and probably suprisingly spicy for us. But we loved it!

Amazing cocktails if not s but pricey

Amazing food but wont’t be returning since they don’t take cash although I must say the waitress was incredibly kind and accepted my cash then she paid on her card. Clearly the restaurant doesn’t care about people who chose to use cash to help budget or even people who are homeless or don’t have bank accounts.

Whether you're a local or just passing through, this spot is a must-visit. I can't wait to return and have more of their cocktails and Mexican dishes!

Been here many times and always had a great experience why is why I am so shocked the service was so poor. I was served by what happened to be a new bar manager( he kept bragging he lifted a drinking ban for a young girl). He not once but TWICE made a very rude comment to myself. First of all, he was taking the order for the people in front of me and asked me when I wanted, to which I replied yes, he very rudely snapped and said “tell me then”. I expressed I was ordering separately to the group in front of me and when it was my turn to order he cut me off several time to have a shot of tequila with his friends and to have a casual chat with them whilst I was one word into to my order. When he decided he was finished after a few minutes of me being cut off, he passive aggressively said “Do you speak”. He made me extremely uncomfortable and my friends who joined me later also said when they were reading out their order he cut them off too to have his own conversation with staff. The queues were horrendously long which I understand can not always be helped, but he definitely made matters worse by having his own conversation with friends.

Our group of five had booked in for a table and got seated quickly. Ordered food and drinks shortly after and got drinks quickly. The real problem here was receiving our food. Most of our mains came out at the same time but chips and ‘snacks’ didn’t come out. We asked our server who checked, but once we finished eating our mains the items hadn’t come out yet. We eventually got our snack item but despite other tables getting their chips we never got our two orders. Ultimately said we didn’t want to wait. The server was apologetic and gave us a discount on our bill but a shame. Food items we got were really nice but the kitchens organisation leaves a lot to be desired.

Roll up your jeans, roll up your beanie and bring out your pronouns! Yea it’s a trendy dive in NQ Manchester rated highly on TikTok by them hipster types. But unfortunately for us it didn’t make the grade! We had two margaritas (241) a lagerita and a el Diablo. We also had chicken strips and the burrita tacos. Over cooked, greasy food! To be fair I’ve not had the burrita before so nothing to compare and the meat inside was nice but the outside seemed really overcooked! The gravy was nice! The customer service whilst not poor was just ok. We would not return!

Had big hopes waiting for a change from a Barburrito restaurant.. although the portion was slightly larger (more expensive as well) the supposedly "spiciest" was really mild, was very wet and it was borderline impossible to have more than 3 bites in the burrito without it starting to fall out from the bottom. I'd suggest serving the burrito wrapped in foil at least so the customers can unwrap as they eat. Flavour-wise very... Bland. Little flavour. A very traditional British approach to foreign food(?) The idea and concepts were almost there but the flavour... Maybe I had my expectations too high for a place that comes up when searched for "best Mexican food restaurants in Manchester" The atmosphere was okay, weird for a mexican restaurant. Indie music a bit loud at 1pm as if it was Revs de Cuba at night. Didn't drink any cocktails but they look nice so don't get put away from going there if your plan is cocktails.

The quality of the food is very poor. If they consider this as Mexican food, that means that they've never been to Mexico. The service is really poor, same as the food. The place also looks dirty. The menu card was completely greasy. First and last time in this place

I thoroughly enjoyed my burrito. Nice to know they serve halal chicken. The service was personal and light-hearted. I would definitely visit this place again.

I have been coming here regularly for around 10 years or more and it has always been my favourite go to place. I am not sure what has changed but they last few times have its been a disappointment. In November we had poor service from the tall, i think manager after being served the wrong burrito (given pork instead of beef). We came last night and sadly, for the last time. The menu has changed and is now limited unless you like seafood or chicken. I chose a beef burger for this reason and it was terrible, dry and tasteless, smothered in tomato ketchup (not cholula). I left hungry!! The soft drinks are flat, a pump issue they knew about but still served me the drink!?!? There isn't a rush on with the staff and for 7pm on a Friday night, the place was practically empty, a shame its standards have dropped, reflecting in its custom I think.

Came here for lunch today and it was very lovely. Kind staff, lovely atmosphere and they were so nice to accommodate our big group and offer table service. The food was nice however some of the dishes such as the shrimp tacos were a bit small. But would definitely come here again for a drink or a burrito!

Waited over two hours for food whilst other tables got served before us. We were a big group which I know takes more time but over 2 hours is a bit much. Two of the staff members clearly didn't give a damn, one lass actually tried to get us our food so we could leave. Like both we and they wanted!

The food is absolutely incredible, the staff are lovely! It's not badly priced but if you're wearing a skirt/dress be warned the seats are metal and they're cold when you first sit down 😂😂 Will definitely be back

This January’s discount promotion is a great month for someone like me, a homemaker. It helps me take a break from cooking and experience the flavors of different countries. Today, I visited a Mexican restaurant for the first time. The food was fantastic, not too much, allowing me to enjoy a delightful lunch.

This place used to be so good but now new menu. All best items gone more expensive staff rude won’t go back now

first of all, we easily found our table as we were guided by some very friendly staff, and nearly as soon as we were seated had drink orders taken by a very friendly waiter. we ordered the classic 2 for 1 margaritas, which we really did not enjoy but I think this was down to us being wimps more than anything 😂 for food, i ordered the cali surf burrito and my boyfriend ordered the el reyes without guacamole, and then we shared some house fries. food was 50% off in january which we thought was a fab deal. i found the burrito portions a little bit too much, purely because the fillings were so rich, but enjoyed mine as much as I could have. I don’t usually like guacamole or pico de gallo either but I really liked it in this. my boyfriend really enjoyed his too - the birria beef was really rich. the house fries were as good as fries can be too, although the sauce was not really chipotle mayo, more a lightly flavoured mayo, but no complaints here as i love mayo. to finish off, we ordered some of the blue raspberry frozen margaritas and I was worried they’d be too icy to drink but we found it quite easy and they were lovely. all of the servers were very helpful and attentive - my only complaint is that there is a lot of noise in comparison to the sizes of the dining room - for reference, we were there from around 4.30 to 6.15. overall a very nice experience with pleasant food and good drinks, if not a bit overpriced in places.

Came for some food last night. The waiter was really friendly but it was quite busy and he seemed run off his feet. Menu is tiny and not like the one listed online. There wasn't much to choose from at all. I had the burger which was quite nice but drowned in sauce. My boyfriend had the chicken burrito which was average. We ordered a snack for a starter which was basically melted cheese with veg in it and very bland. Didn't really live up to expectations unfortunately and I wouldnt return.

Tasty food, a little long to wait for our desserts but service was good on the whole.

My friend and I were very exited about coming in and enjoy the food but unfortunately food took 36 minutes to be served and when it finally came was very salted that we couldn’t eat anything. However staff were incredibly lovely and friendly next time I come to Manchester will definitely come back to this lovely place as I know that one bad experience doesn’t mean will always be the same.

Meat in both burrito and fries topping dry and tasteless. Both positions were marked with 3 chillis in the menu and had barely any spice to it. Buritto felt apart when eating and fries had so much salt that I couldn't eat them. Terrible food. Saff was lovely though, but won't come back.

Had great food here, the complimentary tortilla chips while you wait are a nice touch and the burritos were lovely and packed with filling. I had the chicken Ceasar one and it was great. Huge portions of everything. Staff were really attentive and the service was super quick, food was ready in record time! Really surprised by some of the recent reviews saying they had to wait a long time as our experience was the opposite!

I felt like the tacos prices at £9.50 were very simple and plain. Only had a small taco size piece of fried chicken and Mayo. Service was very good but food was very mid. Unfortunately wouldn't go just for food.

Friendly service and good quality food. The style is not super authentic but a bit of a USA twist on Mexican food (lots of sauces, burgers etc). The drinks are also well made. Overall it's a little on the expensive side but not when compared to other sit-in taco places in Manchester.

Been a few times over the past couple of years. The place absolutely stank of smoke and grease and the seating was in need of replacing, the tables wobbled like mad. Foods pretty good but the furniture and poor service let it down. Staff completely uninterested.

It was my second time coming here and I was hoping my first experience was a one off but sadly it wasn't. Booked a table with my girlfriend for a birthday treat. 20 minutes after being seated our drink and food order was finally taken. Drinks took half an hour to come and half the drinks were missing as the frozen margarita machine was being refilled. Food came after 40 minutes but girlfriends main meal was wrong so it was sent back, also one of the sides never turned up. It was another half hour before the correct main meal was brought back out and the side was still missing and we had to chase this several times. The server was very polite but seemed overworked. It put a damper on birthday celebrations as we had to eat our mains separately and by the time the side turned up I was past caring. The bill was adjusted and we we're given some free drinks which made up slightly for the inconvenience. It's a shame as the food was actually very nice but the service was abysmal, won't be returning.

Arrived at Liqor and burn on time for our booking and was ignored by the bar staff whilst they had a chat. Finally directed upstairs to the restaurant and told our table wasn’t ready and to go back down to the bar, not a problem as they said it would be 10 mins. Went back upstairs after 10 minutes and shown to our table. Had to ask for menus after 15 minutes, and then nobody came to take our order. Team would literally walk past their table with their head down and ignore us. Waited for 40 minutes and left. Table next to us had been waiting too. Went across the road to common/nells. Amazing and attentive team warmly greeted us, sat us after a few minutes and had delicious pizza with in 15 mins!!

Afterfl four of us arriving to our booked table at 8pm food and drinks ordered straight away, an hour later the drinks finally arrived only for food to be yet another 15-20 mins later, food was ok at best and slathered in sauce that overpowered everything. It was busy but lacked any real atmosphere apart from busy. Was. An experience to say the least anc not one we will ever return to.

New menu… I am a massive fan of Liquor and Burn. We have been coming for years and it is always the first place we recommend and take people to when they visit Manchester. That being said we went last night and tried the new menu. Sadly it did not live up to the expectations of L&B. There is only two veggie mains, one burrito and one taco. This is rather low for Manchester where there is a large veggie population . Additionally a large proportion of the menu contains nacho cheese. This absolutely ruins the food. I could not finish my food because it tasted like chemicals. It reminded me of the cheese you get from the cinema. Sadly it’s hard to avoid because it’s over a large amount of the menu and all the loaded fries. The chips were so salty so I had to leave them. Also our food came out at completely separate times. My partner had finished his food before mine arrived. On a positive note the staff were lovely but I won’t be back until the menu has changed and will be telling others to go to alternative restaurants.

We had a table booked at 2pm, we were waiting for over 1hr 30 mins for food to come until we asked bar staff how long will our food be (the restaurant wasn’t busy. Kitchen staff is appalling , we was seating and 4 other groups who came in after us received their food even thought we ordered small plates which was 3 things and still had to wait such a long time for absolutely no reason. Poor service from kitchen

The food was tasty however it was disappointing as it was supposed to be 50% throughout January and the waiter didn’t give us this. The food is expensive for what it is at full price.

Went for lunch. Reasonably priced with quick service. Pretty quiet at the time.

Love the food, tasty tacos of yumminess, what a great place time and time again to eat at!

Great place for a casual date, but don't bother with the margaritas. We ordered them on their 241 (which is always on!), and for £11.50 it felt like a rip off. When you took the ice out of an already tiny glass you had about 50ml in each glass. Was tasty but not worth the price. Nor was the £4 soft drink. The burritos were very tasty but again felt overpriced for how much we go. Staff were 5* though: very attentive, polite and nice to talk to.

Service was excellent and food was tasty but quite strong for my delicate palate

Decent enough birria, not amazing - but good. Fries were flavorful.

Food was good, cocktails were good too, but it was really bright, the music was really loud and the decor just didn't add anything to the experience. Was hoping for a Latin theme of music and aesthetics to go with the food and drinks.
