We are from the USA side of the ocean, and we walked into this place and first thing we said was that it felt like we were in New York again. I guess that's the vibe they're trying to do. It was great and we loved it. We will return.

Some bartenders are really good and friendly but some of them are just ignoring you when you want to order something. So you need to be lucky 😅 But overall, the atmosphere is good and if the service is good, then everything is better. Pleaseee don’t ignore your customers!! 😅 🫶🏻

A lively rock bar selling great food and drinks. Great decor, neon signs and some good rock tunes playin too. We went for a rock n roll bingo night, you get tickets online ours were £12 each. Its unreserved seating so if your in a group get there early. Its a really great night, winning free shots and dancing yo the tunes.

Upstairs for rock an roll bingo such a good night very very hot though such a great venue for this big enough table for rockfit with Jenny outing hubby won the full house an statue also a£50 free bar tab have to go again once claimed it ha ha great tunes prices about right free shots for a line of bingo downstairs looks good too a rock bar at last some good tunes food looks good friends said it was good staff very hard working an friendly busy night just need aircon it was a hot night though will be back didn't know this bar existed

Anna and Amy was AMAZING cannot describe how amazing these girls was. Perfect service and company from start to end. Couldn’t recommend this place enough for a bottomless brunch 🤍🤍🤍 perfect place prefect staff xxxxx

This place looks cool and the soundtrack is great. That's the good bit. We waited 20 minutes to get served at an almost empty bar while the barman pained over 4 cocktails. It was agony to watch. Eventually got a drink and ordered food. Had a Jimmy's lager, very nice. Food took almost an hour and the place wasn't even that busy. When we chased we were told there were some big orders ahead of us. I am here now, I cam honestly say that there is one group of 4 drinkers, and no other groups larger than 4 ordering food. Food arrived, no apology. Food was pretty cold but tasted ok. Asked for condiments twice. That took another 15 minutes in which time I finished. Again no apology. Worst dining experience I've had in years.

We were refused a drink at a neighbouring bar at only 22.00, so instead we found Jimmy's, delightful staff, great beers and a quirky design. Very happy and we'll be sure to be back for another late night drink!

I rarely review but these guys rock. Did the bottomless brunch and the drinks weren't horrible, sugary, hells, like a lot of brunches. Tasty, well flumpy, nice drinks. Food was banging and the staff were on the level of angelic legends. Thanks for a great pre flump guys! Will be back in 2 weeks!

We went for bottomless brunch. The drink service was to be expected and there was nothing over and above what we would think, drinks came, they were average, we drank them- they were fine. However, we didn’t get as many drinks in the 90 minutes that we have had at previous bottomless brunch establishments. The food though…The food was so bad. The bun was cold, untoasted, a simple yet important part to a burger, the actual meat of the burger was without a doubt frozen, unseasoned and not so much of kissed a grill, felt like it was cooked in the heat of the moment. The veg was floppy, mediocre and simply below par. The burger was nothing like the ones they display on socials. The nicest part was the blue cheese dip. Not really worth it. I wouldn’t bother again. Nice waitress though.

First time I’ve been in since Jimmys moved locations. Only stopped for one drink, it’s a good set up. The food smelt fantastic and great songs were heard.

Great place, friendly staff. The honey beer is delicious and food was great (best chunky chips I've ever had. Only improvement I'd recommend is vinegar to make the chips even nicer 💗

I do realise that coming here on a Sunday afternoon for a roast may not be 100% representative of what Jimmys has to offer but it was my only chance. It was very enjoyable. Calm jazz music lent a specific atmosphere and a good roast on a stormy January Sunday had me feeling all warm and cosy. Could the roast have been a little less dry for my taste? Yea sure - but the 2 for 1 and the friendly staff made up for it. Next time I’ll do the late night visit.

Fantastic bottomless brunch! Had salt n pepper calamari with lots of prosecco and pornstar martini's, great staff especially Anna who was there with our drinks and Amy at the bar, couldn't do enough for us would give 10 stars if I could 😁

We were visiting from Texas and saw this place called Jimmy's and we had to pop in for a couple of pints. The bartender was terrific and made us feel at home. My wife had a couple of Old Mout Ciders and I had the Jimmy's Lager and a Honeycomb Pale Ale and it was all good! Music vibe is just right! Stop by and have one...or two...or three.

On Saturday 4th November I came for bottomless brunch with my partner. ‘George’ who I’m assuming was the head chef made our experience extremely warming and welcoming. The service was excellent along with the food. I suggest anyone travelling to Jimmys to try the Calamari as it was the best I’ve ever had. Me and my Partner will definitely be returning. Been before for a Sunday dinner which was fantastic and excited to come back now the roasts are back on. Turned up this time to an empty restaurant and to find out they're under staffed with only one staff member available and currently working downstairs. Grateful to the chef who honestly told us about the situation and even tried to accommodate for our booking but at this point we decided to leave it. If you don’t have enough staff available for having the restaurant open please don’t accept bookings for it or at least cancel them to save us wasting our time. Very disappointing, we were truly looking forward to it.

Came for some lunch served by a lovely man, had tenders, wings, fries very good on pricing and quality was exceptional. I'd have preferred to have a menu on the table outside rather than read it off the wall

Popped in for Sunday lunch it was amazing don't have a bad work to say about it £15 great portion exception quality. Only wish we could have sat in the restaurant area but it was closed due to staff shortage.

Went here for a works night out. Very accommodating and very polite. Worth a visit we only had drinks but understand they do food too.

BOTTOMLESS Brunch so slow that we had to go to the bar to get a refill of 2 bottles of water to go with the food before we even got the second round of drinks to the table. We were a pre-booked table of 11 and there was one poor girl working the upstairs taking orders and making the drinks for us and the other groups that were there. Staffing levels were inadequate and when another girl came up briefly she took our order but never actually gave it to the bar, resulting in only reviewing 2 rounds in over an hour into a"bottomless" brunch. When questioned, the size of the group was the excuse given, but if the cocktails like pornstar martinis aren't going to have prosecco or garnishes on, you may as well pre-mix them to save time or have a table runner to take away plates and glasses/ deliver from the bar. Overall shocking service and a massive let down on quality... Had to pay extra for some mayonnaise to go with the dry chicken tenders that didn't come with anything. Will not be coming back and recommend other people to avoid as well!

One of the best bottomless brunches in Manchester. Drinks were always flowing and the food was great. Good choice of cocktails, sprits, lager and beer for drink choices. Will defs be back!

Came on a quiet weeknight as a fallback because the originally planned place was full. Very good experience, lovely pizza, waffle fries and craft beer, will come back.

Me and my husband took our little puppy on a doggy date here. Staff were amazing and so friendly, brought our dogs a water bowl which was cute. Food there was absolutely amazing and affordable. They also do delivery which is awesome P.S ( our puppy is the white one)

Absolutely love Jimmy’s! My wife and I live in the Northern Quarter and had no idea that this place existed. We visited here with some friends on Friday 28 October. The woman who served us was fantastic, I took the receipt with me specifically so I could mention her by name in a review but I think I’ve thrown it away by mistake and can’t remember her name. We sat upstairs in front of the Kitchen pass. We ordered food which was delicious and all had a few drinks. Our little doggies also were looked after and they even brought out a water bowl for them. We would recommend any dog owner to come and visit here, you won’t be disappointed. Thank you for looking after us, we will be back soon!

Went in for an espresso martini on Sunday 6th November and it was the worst cocktail I’ve ever had, I don’t even write reviews of places but it was so bad I feel obliged to. Was initially shaken with no ice and tasted bitter and warm, and after complaining the girl on the bar just shook it with ice to the point that it tasted like watery vodka that burned my throat. Will be avoiding this place in the future, so many better bars to spend £9 on a drink

It seems that a different company have taken over because the entire place is so different. We used to come in once a week for burgers or a roast but now it is just a basic pizza place with awful staff. The staff are plainly RUDE compared to the group of young girls who used to make such a fuss of us whenever we came in to eat! Now the staff look miserable and it doesn't feel like a proper NQ bar at all, just average pizza and rude staff. I feel like perhaps new owners have implemented some corporate rules and the atmosphere just isn't what is was? My husband and I used to come in and chat to the hostesses for ages, getting to sample cocktails and complementary prosecco, now it feels so cheap! NOT impressed with what seems like new ownership. Wasted my evening last night, needs proper food back and more friendly staff I didn't feel welcome at all and I WAS a regular!! As an Ancoats local don't bother

I was supposed to have an espresso martini but ordered Jimmy’s stout cause I am big fan of dark beer. It was really good. I might visit there again. The one-star deduction is for unavailable burgers. I wanted a burger and potato after seeing them on google review. There are only pizza and some sides on their menu.

Excellent staff, beer and prices. Visited this at the weekend when Manchester was baking and City was playing their first home game of the season. So was a little worried about what the service would be like. I needn't have worried. Fast friendly service all day. We stopped just for one, but when we got seats and a table in the sun and had our first pint of Jimmy's Cider, one quickly turn into half a dozen! Even though the place was hammered before kick-off time the service was wonderful. I had just had a very bad experience at the Crown and Kettle and boy oh boy they could do with visiting here and seeing what customer service is all about. Will be back again. Thanks all for making our day!

Great vibe in Jimmy's. Enjoyed the atmosphere,Jimmy's cider and the fab food. Visited on Wednesday evening while staying in Manchester. Three of us decided to share a selection of starters between us instead of having a main meal each. We had the cock fingers,warpigs,Fleetwood mac n cheese with brisket and cheesy loaded fries with bacon jam. When the dishes came we couldn't believe they were starters the portion sizes were really good, the flavours on all the dishes were delicious tender chicken in a light spicy batter , juicyribs, melt in the mouth brisket in the mac n cheese and sweet bacon n jam on the cheesy loaded fries. We couldn't finish the dishes as the portions were so filling. Along with super friendly staff we had a great time. Well worth a visit.

A nice atmosphere and wonderful staff and would be brilliant if you want a drink. The food was subpar. I spent £35 on what was clearly a frozen lobster tail which had then been overcooked. There are many restaurants nearby that have fresh, quality food. I'd visit one of them over Jimmy's the next time I'm looking for something to eat.

Sunday lunch, beef was fabulous, I loved the veg my husband wasn't keen. Was all very modern style (baby parsnips, baby multicoloured carrots, kale, tenderstem broccoli). We agreed roasties and Yorkshire pud appeared homemade and were lovely. Gravy bit thin (comes in a teapot for fun) Menu is very limited. 3 starters. 3 mains, 1 dessert for Sunday lunch. They tried to serve me Hendrix Gin with lime as they had no cucumber and no lemon. I opted to swap for a beer. The Jimmy Hendrix decor, doesn't match the genre of the keyboard player who was on. He was good but the place seems to lack identity. Also there were 3 kitchen staff, 3 servers, 3 bar staff and the keyboard guy for about 20 customers. Doesn't seem cost effective to me. Toilets are downstairs in the bar, restaurant is upstairs.

Had a really great meal here- highly recommend the Mac n cheese but the burgers were also fab. Great drinks options and staff were all lovely

Went on New Year’s Eve for what appeared to be a reduced menu. The only vegan option was a rock hard / burnt and tasteless veggie burger on a bap (not even a proper burger bun). It was taken off the bill but I wouldn’t suggest going here to eat… very poor food. Also their White Russian cocktail tastes of nothing.

Check this place out. Quiet Tuesday drinking decent beer. Great service from the lad behind the bar. Good ideas of where to get decent beer around Manchester too Jimmy’s Honeycombe pale ale is the biz

What a night myself and my brother had here. Met some great people and had a dance. Great prices too!

This was our first visit to this bar but it won’t be our last. It has real character and offers something different to many other places. They seem to do their own range of beers which are interesting and tasty. I had their version of Guinness which was very good but they also do a honey IPA which I believe uses hives around Manchester as a supply! The service is really nice and it was great to be able to sit outside and enjoy everything going on around us.

Very cool bar. The food is tasty and the drinks are nice. They have done a lot of theming here to simulate an American dive bar including beer neons for beer they don’t even sell! 🤦‍♂️This place could easily become my favorite bar in Manc if they stocked some of the beer on their walls. Dive bars prices wouldn’t go amiss either 😉. I will be back though!

I have been to Jimmy's a number of times now and I really do love this place. The atmosphere outside is ace and the Aperol Spritz are great and have NO SODA in as they shouldn't! :) Last weekend I tried a few small plates as did my colleagues at work and the food was exceptional to be fair however to charge £6 for 3 chicken wings is a bit of a farce to be honest. When you have so many restaurants that do wings to a high standard but at such a cheap price, i find it difficult to understand where Jimmy's get their pricing from. You can buy wings for pennies so to be charging £2 per wing really doesn't sit well. Realistically 5 wings at this price would be fair but still not cheap when wings cost naff all. Having said that, they were some of the best wings in MCR and the other smaller dishes were lovely too (although still rather pricey). The only other negative is the aircon doesn't work inside and I felt bad for the staff as it was really hot and the beer wasn't cold and was really flat which needs sorting as it's happened twice now. Apart from this, I would definitely recommend

The Sunday lunches are excellent.

The original Jimmy's was my all time favourite bar in Manchester where you'd go for excellent drinks and to listen to rock'n'roll music like Stones, Bowie, Beatles, Strokes etc and stay until late. These days they play quiet, cheesy 80s music and close at midnight. Safe to say its no longer a rock'n'roll bar and I even asked the doorman if it's no longer rock'n'roll and he said it isn't. I spoke to a few former regulars who said it's just like any other bar now. The branding is still there and it looks like Jimmy's, the staff is friendly, the drinks are good and reasonably priced and to be fair, the food looks really good - just wouldn't describe this place or the food as rock'n'roll. Apart from that it's a former cool bar that's gone 9-5 and it feels a bit like when Kings of Leon released Sex on Fire and became mainstream, plain and a lot less original.

Fab place to go too.. Food is amazing the atmosphere is electric.. One of the best places in Manchester

SO happy to have the doors of our beloved Jimmy’s back open! Visited today for a Sunday roast, and as expected it did not disappoint🥳👏🏽 The food was absolutely fantastic, we especially enjoyed the beef, yorkshires, stuffing and of course the bottomless gravy- this is what dreams are made of😍 We were served by the lovely Tara, who was very friendly and attentive❤️ it was also nice to see some familiar faces from the Liverpool Jimmy’s in the kitchen cooking up a (very tasty) storm😁🍽 Thanks Jimmy’s for a fab Sunday, see you guys soon!🤩⚡️🥂✨

The long awaited return of Jimmy's, the building and work they have done is really been worth the wait. I never thought it would be able to replicate the charm of the old site but I was happily proved wrong. Service was good and atmosphere perfect, the playlist for the evening was spot on. The only thing nagging is that I felt there beer selection wasn't great, there own beers are nice, I would recommend the smooth IPA but past that I feel the Pale is pretty poor and other drinks are a little meh. But I don't think that is really what Jimmy's is about, so unless you are looking for a great range of beers ignore my only doubt.

First person to spill a drink in here and I wanted to be the first person to leave a 5 star review for the new venue in Ancoats. Welcome home Jimmy's bar! The absolute standout place to be in Ancoats now and the only place that I really want to go. Great music, brilliant staff and tasty food on top of an unrivalled aesthetic. Tip for the Guinness drinkers, Jimmy's Irish Cream is nicer than pints of actual Guinness. I know this as I drank almost a million of them at the launch. Felt like I was in Ireland with every sip/gulp/send. Well done lads n lasses. You've smashed it! Here's to my new local...

Horrible place. No class, no quality, I went to see a band that I can hardly say they were playing music. Another low standard place in Manchester. Does not surprise me at all. Nightlife in Manchester is a nightmare.
