Service was very friendly and super helpful. However the food was terrible! We ordered sausage and mash and it came out so quickly it was definitely reheated! The sausages were tough and the gravy tasted weird. I definitely would not recommend this place. Food should be cooked fresh

Never been before and only found bu accident by googling local restaurants and this one popped up with fantastic reviews. Had a Mixed grill which was offered to me even though it wasn't on the menu [it should be] Huge size dinner and really friendly service would definitely come again

My wife & I visited The Moorhen on the 29th, April 2025. We have come here many times for the food & the river View which is beautiful & serene. I had booked a table & on arriving we were shown to our table & on sitting down we were given the menu, I asked the waitress what happened to the original menu & were told that this was a New trial menu that they had been using for the past several weeks! I told them "they should have hung the new menu" this new menu is about a third of items on the original menu. The food was well cooked but lacking in extras needed to make it a good tasty meal. If they Don't go back to the Original menu or something similar we shall not return to thisbpub/restaurant. In this day & age if pub/restaurants don't comply to what there customers want they Will go out of business! My rating Don't bother going there!!!

Excellent service as always from Milos and the other staff. Lovely food also and great view of the canal. We will be back again.

Had a great family ( 10 of us ) brunch yesterday (8th March ). Food and service was excellent. Would have been regular future patrons but unfortunately staff advised that after next weekend breakfast and brunch will no longer be on the menu. So sad that this review too late to change that.

Had a lovely meal of nachos to start and rump steak and the ultimate burger for main. We were served by Milos who was very kind and quick to serve us. All good was cooked well and out to us in good time.

Good food at reasonable prices, comfy seating and a great play area outside for the kids to play. We had excellent service from Jordan who made a real effort to interact with the kids which was nice, they got colouring in and the kids meals are great variety with lots of vegan options. Great for families.

Came in for dinner today and was really pleased. The food was lovely and service from Milos was wonderful. Will be back soon.

We had a fantastic dining experience at Pub and Grill yesterday. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, perfect for a relaxed meal with friends. I ordered the ribeye steak with chips and merlot & beef sauce and it was cooked to perfection – tender, juicy and bursting with flavor. The chips were crispy and golden and the wine sauce added a rich, delicious touch to the dish. My friend went for the mixed platter, which included chicken, pork ribs, corn, and coleslaw. It was a hearty and satisfying combination, with the ribs being especially tender and flavorful, and the coleslaw adding a nice, refreshing crunch. Our server, Sue, was absolutely wonderful – attentive, friendly and made sure everything was just right. She truly added to the overall positive experience. I highly recommend Pub and Grill for anyone looking for excellent food, great service and a welcoming atmosphere. We’ll definitely be back!

Food so mych better lovely service from leo would advise anyone to go we all had great time . I have alot allergies they provide me still with food cooked perfect.

Beautiful food, burgers and especially the horny chicken burger was fantastic, we tried a bit of everything and it was all great, staff were fantastic too

Server Milos was a true gentleman ensuring we were well looked after. The food was lovely abd we couldn't even squeeze in a dessert Thank you Milos!

Popped in for Lunch with a business colleague had the lunch menu I had mini grill he had the salmon, and both had apple crumble for dessert was lovely great value for money as well.

This was our first visit to this pub and what a gem it was! The food was delicious and great value for money. We were served by Milos who did above and beyond to make us feel very welcome with his friendly manner and efficient and helpful service.

We visit The Moorhen about once a month and the food is always amazing, never a complaint from our table. The staff are fantastic, professional and personable. Milos is an outstanding member of the staffing team and on every occasions provides incredible service.

We were welcomed warmly and shown to a table. Sophie served us, she was friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The food was well presented and well cooked. The salad was very fresh. Very good value for money. We will return to try again!

Please avoid this restaurant like the plague I was seriously ill with food poisoning the place is dirty and flies the tables and floors sticky and dirty hygiene really bad now I know why I was so sick I ended up in A&E I will be reporting to the food & hygiene environmental health for the place to be inspected so hopefully nobody else gets ill also I've now been told by someone who works there in the kitchen food has been dropped on the floor where the chefs are rushing around and under staffed they are told by the manager Sarah Thompson to pick it up and put on the customers plate this is absolutely vile now I know this I will take further action but please stay away people to avoid any illness discusting unhygienic pub restaurant!!!!
