We all enjoyed a lovely Sunday Carvery lunch, the roast beef was so tasty and tender that it just melted in the mouth. The large selection of fresh vegetables was excellent. Unfortunately no room left for a dessert Staff were so friendly and helpful We will definitely be returning soon

Wow now that’s what I call a carvery, couldn’t fault it, there was plenty of vegetables to choose from and the meat was really tasty, friendly staff, couldn’t ask for more, I would go as far to say that this is the best place to get your Sunday carvery from, will be back very soon 👏🏻🙌🏻😋

Do not be put off by the outward appearance of this establishment. The food here was really good, excellent value for money, good portions. Gluten free options for lunch and dessert. I had the Gammon steak, not at all salty, well cooked and lovely and hot. I had Eton Mess for dessert, it was really delicious. Friendly staff.

Moorhayes is a place where local families and friends meet up to socialise, and we were expecting bog standard pub food. Its a pretty standard menu (all the usual favourites) but we've been three times now, and have been impressed every time. This time we had burgers, which were tasty and well presented, with fresh salad and coleslaw. The buns were fresh and didn't fall apart, which is a common burger 'fail'. The restaurant space is large and airy, with big glass doors onto a large outside seating area. Staff are friendly, and the service this time was good.

Poor service. Avoid. They cancelled our booking to hire the hall then refused to issue a refund of our payment. Despite numerous emails and messages to their Facebook page, requests for information have been mostly ignored or false promises of "we will look into it". We are still waiting for our refund nearly 2 months down the line and I very much doubt we will receive it.

I've been to this restaurant 3 times, & have enjoyed it each time. Twice I have had Sunday lunches, carveries, & once a weekday one of baked potatoes with prawns & salad. Each time the meal has been very good & very reasonable, the staff have been helpful, & the surroundings clean & tasteful.

We visited today for lunch and all 5 of us opted for the carvery. The meat was plentiful and really nicely cooked - I had beef which was lovely and pink. Vegetable dishes were great especially the cauliflower cheese! Excellent value and quality.

As a family we decided to enjoy a mid week meal at Moorhayes. Suffice to say, it will be the last for a long time. The wine we ordered was served in dirty glasses, lipstick around every single one. When this was highlighted, no apology, the wine was poured into another glass, great, love having wine impregnated with somebody else's lipstick. The meals were awful, the burgers were rock hard, when we made the staff aware, we were met with 'I suppose you want them replaced? ' No apology was offered, not quite a roll of the eyes, but it wasn't far off, especially when we pointed out the fish wasn't cooked all the way through either. The customers on the adjoining table weren't happy with their meals either. Things can be forgiven for stuff that goes wrong, however if the staff can't be bothered or even care to offer an apology, then it's somewhere we won't be returning to in a hurry.

The location of this place is a little odd, and (at the moment anyway) not the kind of place you'd probably find by yourself if visiting town. You're most likely to be brought here by a local resident (as I was) to even be made aware of it! It's a very pleasant bar/restaurant that occupies part of the local community centre building, nearby the small tesco local shop. The drinks and food are reasonably priced, the menu is very typical pub grub, but nicely cooked, tasty and generously portioned. In other words, good value for money. Our group had Ham, eggs and chips, Scampi and chips and a 20oz mixed grill (with chips). The 2 kids had a Burger and Fish goujons with chips&beans and some nachos. Cherry chocolate cheesecake was a winner for dessert too! Everyone enjoyed their food and left with a nicely full belly. What more could you want?! Well done to the chef who works here, and kudos to the friendly young lady working front of house, wearing multiple hats, serving as bartender, waitress and tidy-upperer, she does a great job!

Quick visit to meet up with an old mate. Lovely modern bar/restaurant, ideal for families. Decent outside ply area for kids and plenty of outside seating area, with covers if required, which we needed as it started to rain. £3.50 for a pint not overly excessive. Will be back again as good location and plenty of free parking

My family live near so it is great for a bite to eat and a beer or wine and no driving. Menu is varied, so something for everyone. The beer and wine selection is very good and they stock some nice Gins!! Nice atmosphere, although the lighting could be a little softer, but you get use to it. Friendly staff. I would say good value for money, it's not expensive, so don't expect Fine Dining. The steak has always been good.

what an awful experience. Half the menu was not available, we waited for ages for orders to be taken as the waitress was too busy chatting. The food took ages to come and when it did the steak was cremated , the chicken dish was so dry and the vegetarian parcel was all pastry and about a teaspoon of filling, there were no sauces to accompany the meals. Definitely wouldn't recommend this to anybody we were all totally disgusted with it.

Met up at the Moorhayes Community Centre for a few drinks a some food. Once seated we were handed menus and were told of the specials which included paella which 3 of us went for and the others selected various dishes. All of us were very pleased with our choices and nobody had any complaints at all. The evening went by all too quick and were pleasantly surprised by the cost. I would recommend a visit for food however its also good ambiance for just a drink with mates.

Try to support Moorhayes Bar as a local establishment and can't fault the decor, layout and range of drinks on offer, the beer is especially good a local too! The food however does let this place down badly, the menu is somewhat limited which is fine for such a venue however it is quite basic and bland, there aren't any healthy options and most things are fried with chips or wedges. I ordered a homemade burger which was advertised as coming in a lightly toasted brioche bun with side salad and coleslaw, when it arrived the bun was a dry, un-toasted, sesame seeded bun (mass catering type) with no sauce, cheese, onion rings or anything to make it a 'pub burger'. The burger whilst homemade wasn't particularly tasty and a bit of a let down. My wife had the fish and chips which she said was very good. The kids menu, starter and dessert menus are very limited also and nothing very inspired on them either. I appreciate being a bar/ social club it is a balancing act in terms of food provision but I think it could do better having said that the place was certainly busy. I will continue to enjoy the beer and atmosphere but will be avoiding the food in future.

It's a really nice local place to eat, the staff are friendly and welcoming, and the food is great quality for a reasonable price! Went for breakfast as a treat for my Husband's Birthday . Have been several times myself for lunch and it's always been really good but never taken Husband before. However yesterday the food took ages to come out (it wasn't busy so that can't have been the reason), was lukewarm and my husband's sausages were undercooked yet my one was okay - not the best quality and a bit tasteless but okay. He had the larger breakfast I just had standard. Also noted that a couple who came in after us received their meal first. Really disappointing as they are normally good lunchtimes. Guess it must have been either too early or they were having an off day. Great shame though as my Husband can't understand why I have positively raved about Moorhayes in the past.

Made the huge error in going out for a carvery on Sunday, my next mistake was coming to Moorhayes. The quality was at best mediocre and at its worst inedible. Having paid for 4 carverys, it was with huge disappointment that there was so much food left on the plates when we had finished. Poor choice of vegetables, unusual meat cooking and just a major lack in the taste department, plus at £8.50 a head, it's by no means the cheapest out there. It is such a shame that so much effort is put into running the pub, but the food just does not come up to scratch time after time. Please can someone sort the food issue out!!!!!!

We went in on bank holiday Monday for tea, it was quiet. Our order and drinks acquired quickly and efficiently. The food was average to say the least the staff did not seem to know what was in dishes without constantly asking kitchen. The chicken pasta seemed like a dish with tin tomatoes chucked in and mixed with onion. The steak good, onion rings were terrible greasy and badly mad. The sizzling beef was cold we sent it back. Really disappointed - could have been lovely!

I am thrilled that you are getting back up and running. I've had so many relaxed and friendly hours in the cafe with friends that I am looking forward to more accompanied by a fab nut roast and side salads fit for a queen. Airy and plenty of space (unlike other cafes that cram as many in as they can) so it feels very Covid safe even without have to make big changes.

We heard The White Hart was under new ownership so we came along for midweek lunch - it was great! We were warmly greeted by a kind lady behind the bar which had lots of ale, lager & cider choices. We ordered the daily special with a drink which for £12 was great value. The Cod & Chips and Scampi were exactly what you’d expect from a country town pub grub - well worth the money. The desert of STP was also lush. We’d definitely recommend this pub for a great quality and great value midweek lunch. We’ll come back for Sunday Lunch soon.
