Moor Farm Beefeater in North Tyneside

Food was absolutely disgusting, Karen the manager was rude and disrespectful when questioned about the food. Son’s burger was not cooked properly, her reply was “she would have eaten it.” Absolutely shocking

This is quite possibly the worst restaurant experience we’ve had for many a long while. Shown to a table having pre booked for 6pm although we were 10 minutes early and were given two menus - set evening meal which finished at 5pm and the main menu. Had to go and ask for a drinks menu. At 6pm a waitress came and we ordered drinks and 8oz fillet steaks (one medium to well done and the other medium with pepper sauce) and triple cooked chips. The drinks arrived after 5 mins and the meals after 35 minutes! My wife asked for vinegar which never arrived! The meals were barely warm and the steaks weren’t cooked as ordered with the medium to well done pink in the middle even though it was butterflied. No one came to check if we were happy with our order until we were preparing to leave. Told the staff the meals were very disappointing and that we were pleased we weren’t paying the 2 x £21.99 full price as we had a 40% off main meals voucher. If you’re planning on going to Moor Farm Beefeater please think again!!!

Visited Wednesday 16th October. 5.30pm so mix up with staff on duty. Sat at table 82 in bar area. Waited 10 mins for menu , no one arrived at table. Bearing In mind the dining area had only a couple of dinners in. Went to the waiting to be seated sign , waitress walked passed carrying a plate I said “can I grab a menu please “ Grunted I’ll bring you one across, no problem Went and sat down , realises had to go to bar for drinks so after 5 mins went to bar to order drinks - the waitress was slouched over the counter drinking what look like a pint of milk , I said I asked for menus - and was abruptly told well I don’t no where your sitting , well if you sit on 82 table you are perfectly visible from where she was standing Horrible attitude. Continued through out our time at the beef eater. The gentleman who wears the mask will be able to tell you exactly how rude she was. Unacceptable. On this basis will not be returning As hospitality struggles to retain customers maybe a change in attitude is needed by this employee. I also told the younger waiter who was basic as passive as her. Very disappointed Shame as visit now and then but will by pass altogether now. I am happy to discuss this further, check the cctv in the establishment of how lazy and unprofessional the visit was Photo clearly shows we are visible

Visited here on a Saturday evening whilst staying at Premier Inn next door. We were greeted and served by the wonderfully friendly Karen and after she sorted out a minor meal-deal misunderstanding we enjoyed dinner from the extensive menu. Food was very good. Only thing that lets the place down is the decor and lighting in the restaurant makes it feel a bit soulless.

Steak and Ale pie was good. Could do with a little extra gravy. Fish and Chips were good. Fish a little dry. Chocolate brownie and ice cream was devoured quickly. Crumble and custard was good. Pool table was a good idea. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Really friendly staff who remembered us. There is a good selection of food at various prices and it is always presented well and of good quality. I enjoy going there for lunch it is unhurried and a relaxing place to eat.

We had never been in a beefeater before so we gave it a chance. The price was reasonable for steak. My wife had the sirloin steak and I opted for the steak sampler. The fillet was nice but the rump and sirloin was a bit tuff for me. Nice friendly staff and made to feel very welcome.

We used to use this place frequently and my wife has a Beefeater card. On this occasion, despite the place being quiet, we waited 10 minutes at the reception area before anyone noticed we were there. As we were shown to our table we could not help but notice the state of the carpets. They were filthy with massive stains and white areas where they had been bleached. The starters were good. However the main course was rather disappointing. I ordered a mixed grill and my wife a steak. When the meals arrived mine was not very hot. It had obviously been prepared at the same time as my wifes. She had asked for her steak well done which obviously would have took longer than my mixed grill, so mine would have stood a while. Before I started the meal I had to check it came with onion rings. I couldn't see them so asked the server where they were. She looked a little puzzled. Then I saw them. The worlds smallest onion rings. All 2 of them, which no word of a lie were the same size as polo mint. I found it quite amusing that the chef would actually bother to serve them. The server was so embarrassed she went back to the kitchen to ask the chef for more. She came back minutes later with another 2 the same size. Quite frankly I found this rather insulting, and the server said she wished she had never asked. Also the sausages were only chipolata size. I was expecting full size normal sausage. No apologies were given and no reduction on the bill or offer of a free drink or pudding. Apart from that the food was otherwise alright. To cap the night off, I received a nasty insect bite of my leg. Probably a flea from the dirty carpets. I did complain through the Beefeater website feedback page. 2 weeks on and had no response. Maybe they were too embarrassed to respond or had no explanation of how they had the tenacity to serve the worlds smallest onion rings. If their standards of food, customer service, and cleanliness have dropped that far, don't think we'll be returning soon.

Just had a stay at the Premier Inn Cramlington and used the Beefeater next door for evening meal and breakfast. The staff are wonderful. Friendly polite efficient and they work as a team . We'll done the team and a special mention to Kathleen who went out of her way to direct us to our next destination.

The best Beefeater we have ever been to. Regular premier inn guests up and down the country so have been in a lot of beefeaters and this tops the lot. A Trip Advisor Travellers Choice award speaks volumes so I knew it was going to be good … but not this good! James welcomed us (family party of 10) and we had drinks in the bar before moving to the Restaurant for evening meal. Nothing was too much trouble. Incredibly friendly and made our day. Margaret, Alex and Sam also brilliant. Cocktails amazing and the food was outstanding. Also the cleanest place ever, it’s huge and everywhere was absolutely spotless. Breakfast again was outstanding, thanks so much Kath and James. Cooked to order English breakfast, hot, highest quality and the kids ate free, as well as a massive continental buffet. Cannot recommend highly enough.

Enjoyed dinner here while staying at Premier Inn. Fair amount of choice on the menu, including vegetarian. Excellent service, very warm and welcoming. Special commendations for waiting staff Heather and James, who provided excellent service. Tasty food and great value for money.

Heather and Sam were absolutely brilliant top customer service I will be coming back, they took care of me and my family even though it was a busy night they were very attentive!

We stay at premier inns mainly because there is always a restaurant next to it. After a long drive from Scotland with two young kids we were happy to be eating at a Beefeater. Service was extremely friendly. Food was as always super tasty, it just too a while to get to us. Restaurant wasn't busy but took 30 mins to take a drinks order. 2hr after getting in the restaurant we decided that it was after 2 courses, it was not worth any further wait for desert on a night where the restaurant looked empty. Don't get me wrong food was tasty but just everything seemed to take ages without any obviously reason or explanation.

We had a lovely Christmas dinner at The Beefeater in Cramlington However none of us were told we required parking tickets and we now all received a parking fine as we were over the 3 hours. It was not clear that we required a ticket and feel the pub should have told us that it was not their car park - right outside their pub! We won our appeal as we had proof we were using the facilities. However i will never eat there again out of principle.

Went for the Xmas fayre meal,meal was terrible,spent a lot of money there was there for three hours, staff never told us that you have to register our car, si ended up with a parking ticket,rang the manager, was told that the parking wasn't anything to do with the restaurant, will not be going back

My partner and I have just returned from having Xmas dinner.where do I stat..20 minute wait for our first course and we were booked...40 minutes later what I think was ment to be the main course...this consisted of frozen peas... carrots and sprouts nearly broke our teeth trying to eat them..no broccoli or turnip or mash...2 tiny parsnips burnt to a crisp1 spoonful of brown water (gravy) 3 cold roasties and 1 tiny dollop of stuffing and prossesd turkey.This has been my worst experience of anywhere I have eaten especially a Xmas dinner.we left after 2 hours feeling robbed of our Christmas and our money. My advice is don't go here for Christmas in fact stay clear full stop...awful experience and waste of money.

The food here is always good but the one thing better then the food is the customer service and non more so then Heather. I have seen a review on here from someone throwing their toys out of the pram because they were ID'd and instead of taking it on the chin cried and called people out on a review site 😂. We come here at least once a month and the food is always up to standard and we always try to go when heather is working as she is chatty friendly and just a lovely person. Everytime we leave my wife comments "awww heather is lovely". If your local and you remember it having a bad reputation from years ago (around 20yrs ago it had a bad rep) then I assure you it's back up to a good standard, always clean and always try to go when heather is working.

we came to our local beefeater for our dinner walked in all staff very friendly spoke to the girls all said how lovely they looked in there Christmas outfits we loved Heather being dressed up as an elf in the spirit of Xmas we orderd Sunday dinners come well presented hot we asked for xtra gravy as you can never have to much gravy all was lovely nothing was a problem Heather was always there if we needed anything very polite staff very friendly couldn't ask for anything more off all the staff

We visited as we live locally. We opted for a mixed grill and ribeye with salad. The service in my opinion is better than any restaurant I have been to in a very long time. The Restaurant was very busy but Heather could not have been more helpful and attentive. The food was very good but the service certainly made our meal and other customers more enjoyable. What a lovely lady!

Booked a table for 7.30 shown to table quickly, waited over 10mins to be offered a drink ( restaurant and bar was very quiet) Had to ask two people if I could order food, ordered curry and advised no rice so changed the order. Waited over 40 mins for starter ( still quiet in bar and restaurant) chased up starter then arrived presented in a way a 2 year old would not have been proud of !!! Another 30 mins then had to ask where my mains were and arrived 10mins later As I put the last bit of chicken in my mouth the server asked if I would like my bill !!!! Most other customers around me were getting refunds or apologies 🤷‍♂️ Never asked how I enjoyed my meal at any time and will NOT be returning and one to avoid 😡😡😡 Poor show guys up your game plenty more restaurants nearby that would value your custom 😱😱😱

Truthfully the worst bar meal I’ve ever eaten, won’t be returning. Not cheap and extremely poor standard of food….chicken stack wasn’t even chicken breast and chicken melt didn’t even come with a bun. Cheap oven chips….even my sons pizza was dripping with grease. Awful!

We stayed at the premier inn next door for a Christening and dined a few times in the restaurant. Margaret serviced us at breakfast & and dinner she is absolutely fantastic. She really is the life and soul of the restaurant, she makes you feel at home and is very polite, kind and just so friendly you can tell she is an absolute natural and enjoys her job! (Great chat)!!! All staff are brilliant, smiley and very welcoming but Margaret really is top tier with customer service. The food is very tasty and good size of portions too. Thank you very much and we look forward to our next stay!

Waited an age to be seated in an most empty restaurant. Waited an eternity to be asked for order. Another eternity to get food, ( there were only 2 other people eating), and the food was almost cold when it eventually arrived.

We waited ages to be seated, in an almost empty restaurant on a Sunday time. 2 staff members saw us waiting but chose to continue what they were doing rather than help us. Should have left then. Finally seated in an almost empty room, ordered lime and soda, which had so little lime in it that it was tasteless. Then waited another age to be asked for our order. ( there were 4 people in the restaurant and two of them were finished).we ordered burgers, again, took an age to arrive, and the burgers and fries were luke warm at best. Dreadful from start to finish. First and last visit.

should have walked out when we were left standing for 10 mins waiting to be seated. then waited 20 mins for our order to be taken. a table of 4 contractors were seated beside us, the really bad language and them throwing food at each other all seemed to go unnoticed by the staff. when our steak came they were put in front of the wrong person - the waiter ( duty manager ) clearly had no clue they were 2 different steaks. the 40 % off voucher code only took 80p off the bill and when i asked why i was told that was all it gave me. wont ever go back again - should be closed down.

We didn’t stay here, we met here for breakfast and boy oh boy what an absolutely amazing again AMAZING breakfast it was!! Tons of choice, fresh and hot, continental was buffet style as expected well prepped, well stocked and quality!! Staff were accommodating and friendly. I’ve ran hotels in years gone by I know how difficult it is and these guys done a great job. We were stuffed and couldn’t recommend this place enough. Now you would expect to pay about £15.00 per head as I did, it was £10.00, I have no idea how they do it, but you know what it just added to the experiance. Guaranteed we will be back!!! I’ve never been so impressed and I’ve eaten all over the world!! If I could give 10 stars I would!!

Beefeaters have never given me reasons for complaints...always good. But this one, Moor Farm ,Cramlington certainly excelled its self. ALL the staff put their cutomers requests first, with a cheerful, polite and professional attitude. My main reason for this review (amongst others mentioned) was the food...wow.
