Lauren B was an amazing host, knowledgable, lovely, and just the right amount of chatty to make you feel at ease, homely and settled for a lush three course meal. Definitely coming back again

Staff are all very good but I would like to single out Danny. He is an excellent server. He is friendly, diligent and very professional. He ensured that we understood the new menu and what our choices meant for our meals. Food is always excellent at our Gosforth branch. A booth table was ready for us, as we as requested. Venue is well designed and comfortable.

I had a takeaway meal last Fri, my husband collected it ,it was absolutely gorgeous worth every penny it was the ribeye steak absolutely beautiful thank you

Our favourite place for special occasions as it never fails to deliver delicious, top quality food and exceptional service. Our server tonight was Sean and he continued to keep those high standards that we’ve grown to appreciate. Steaks were cooked to perfection and we left very content and full. Thank you!

Top notch food from the kitchen and excellent service from Danny. Only a couple of families with their kids using noisy iPads but Miller and Carter can’t help selfish people. Definitely be back!

We have enjoyed every one of our visits to Miller & Carter Gosforth. The staff are always polite, friendly and work to the highest of standards. Lauren was particularly attentive and helpful. Food is delicious. Menu is extensive which makes it hard to choose! Venue is tastefully decorated and easy to get to. Will be retuning soon we hope.

Fantastic meal. The staff couldn't do enough for you and were very attentive to your needs. The portion size was just right as we ordered off the special lunch menu. It was not too expensive either. The new lunch menu was really nice, and we were able to take away a pudding.

I’ve been ordering from here for quite a while now and have never been disappointed until tonight both ‘steaks’ were mainly fat, the chips (ordered fries but got chips) were inedible due to the unbelievable amount of salt can’t describe how disappointed I am!

All well and very attentive staff, gentleman who catered for us was Very good (Sean) a South African guy who was a credit to the brand, will be back

First time at Miller & Carter, my first impression was, this is like a fancy Witherspoon's or Hungry Horse. I soon realised M & C is very different from a, find a table and order at the bar job. The staff were excellent, from the greeting at the entrance to Liam the server. We both had the steak special and profiteroles, the steak was perfectly cooked and a very good cut ( zero fat or grissel ) and the dessert was excellent. Although the drinks were a bit pricey, we will be back soon, possibly for a more substantial evening meal.

My husband and I dined here on 12/3/25, for our anniversary. It was our first time here. We had a 3 course meal and it was absolutely beautiful, perfectly cooked. The restaurant was lovely and clean and the staff were lovely. We'd like to send compliments to all the staff including our waitress Rachael. She was exceptional and very chatty and couldn't do enough for us. She kept coming over to our table to ask if our meal was OK. Also compliments to the chef for a lovely meal. We will certainly be returning. Thankyou x

We booked a table at Miller & Carter for my Mother's birthday. The food was lovely and the atmosphere was relaxed, perfect for our celebration. Special mention in appreciation of our server Danny who was so helpful. One of our party was lactose intolerant and Danny was great at checking with the chefs and pointing out suitable items on the menu. Will definitely visit again.

Decent prices on fresh produce, you may find some things you can't get at the super market. The farm is bit run down with the engine on the pallet truck belching out clouds of toxic fumes. It needs servicing.

Lovely Monday afternoon lunch for my Dad’s birthday. The setting was lovely, bright and airy and the Atmosphere was buzzing, lots of people enjoying lunch. The food was delicious with a good price on the lunch special. However our experience was made all the more special by the friendly welcome by all staff but particularly the care, kindness and attention of our steak expert Caz. She knew it was my dad’s birthday and she made a real fuss of him, despite being busy she made the time to talk, listen and made him feel special. To top it all she brought him a complimentary dessert of a few small treats which he was delighted with. We had a lovely meal , would highly recommend and will definitely return. Thank you

Haven’t been here for a while but pleased to say it’s still has maintained its high standards. Food and service top quality. Not the cheapest but you can see why. Scotty our server was a top guy

Order was delivered on time but food was cold not sure if it was due to delivery or restaurant however the amount it cost from Miller & Carter if they can’t assure the food is hot when delivered they should not offer take away service

Sean stole the show! We went for a meal on the 3rd March @6pm. My girlfriend & I were celebrating our year anniversary and I was celebrating the successful launch of my business. I couldn't fault the night if I tried. We went for the 25 Oz butchers block for 2 and had the steaks the way Sean recommended. They were perfect! We almost couldn't finish them, a fantastic treat. Sean was very welcoming & helped with our choices & decisions as well as my diet I'd been working on. Even the manager before the meal had called me earlier to inform me about the request for dietary requirements I put in and explained everything in detail. To finish the night off as I asked for the bill, Sean said he had something for us. He brought us a lovely little desert plate & mentioned that I should be celebrating for something this special. Thank you Sean, I wish you the best in whatever you do. Miller & Carter, hands down couldn't think of a bad word to say about the experience. If you're celebrating something, this is the place to go.

Went for our wedding anniversary , we both had the cod which was a little overcooked for us but we do like our fish translucent so probably okay for most. Wasn’t too sure about the sauce but it was served separately so didn’t spoil the meal. Our server Lauren B was excellent really friendly and efficient . We were surprised by a pudding at the end of the meal.

Visited here yesterday with my girlfriend and daughter and was so glad I booked as it was really busy , I had the rump steak with beef dripping butter on it and it was probably one of the best steaks I’ve ever had and I usually have a fillet . Our server Liam was great and very attentive . We come here often and experiences like yesterday are the reason why ! Thanks

Sean was our ‘steak expert’ He was helpful and polite, when we requested to replace an item from the set Sunday menu there was no issue and it was sorted immediately.

I have been put off by steakhouses in the past. From experience the food isn't great or the service is poor, so my wife and I haven't been encouraged to try Miller and Carter through bad experiences. We truly shouldn't have worried. Firstly, the staff in a word, Professional. No other word for it. Secondly, The food, not just the steak. Was spectacular! Perfectly cooked, prepared and preferred. This was our first experience of Miller and Carter, but very definitely not the last.
