We visited with our little boy and Alex couldn't have been more friendly. Food and service was 10 out of 10. She made such a fuss of our son, it really made him feel so special and completely made the experience for us.

Considering how busy new yrs is these guys do everything they can to make sure you have a good night.

Spot on everytime, amber serving was nice and friendly. She went down to our sons level when speaking to him which is nice for him. Food always great same standard everytime.

Superb meal in a wonderful atmosphere attended by a fantastic server in Charlotte who was amazingly helpful and attentive.

From the start the service was amazing, and the food and cocktails were superb absolutely stunning, the restaurant was just immaculate

Our server Charlotte was excellent and so lovely, she was attentive and took time to talk to all her tables. All the staff were great, a really lovely atmosphere and that was all down to the lovely staff.

Really feel bad about leaving this review, as was so looking forward to my 1st visit to Miller and Carter North Shields. My friends and I were greeted by a very nice gent, showed us to our table. Drinks order was taken but this is when things started to downhill, I had a large G&T which was already poured when it came to the table. So I wasn't given the option to pour my own drink to the taste that was satisfactory which to be honest tasted very watery. (Certainly couldn't taste the gin). We all ordered steaks, mine was sirloin (med 2 raw) quite tough and the best thing on the plate were the 'thick chips' my dog enjoyed the steak once I returned home.... What made the visit enjoyable was the company and staff

First time for myself and my three friends. Lunchtime special, 3 courses. Fantastic. Food was amazing, service by Charlotte was excellent and the restaurant was immaculate. Well spaced out and very accessible for wheelchair users. Manager was very helpful with information on upcoming events. Absolutely 100% recommend a trip to this fabulous restaurant. Five of us attended recently at midday. Staff were attentive. Four of us ordered off fixed lunch menu which was a fantastic deal. Food was delicious especially the Chipotle Chicken starter.

5 star service last night. We had beautiful food. The waitress was very attentive and nothing was to much trouble, the steak was perfection. The wine was lovely, couldn't fault it. Will defo return.

From the minute I spoke to Dan on the phone I knew customer experience was paramount, and that came through at our visit from start to finish. Service was match by equally fantastic food u see guidance of head chef Geoff. We were a party of mixed ages with a very elderly and frail relative who had the most wonderful afternoon due to the attention too to detail provided across the board reinstate to finish. Thank you to the whole team, we’ll be back very soon.

Just had the lunch time menu at tynemouth and the food and service is miles better than the Sunderland restaurant. The steak sandwich was actually full of steak cooked correctly and toasted the ciabatta and the chips came in the proper sized chip bowl rather then the kids bowl at Sunderland. Only had 4 tiny bits of burnt steak at Sunderland so sent it back. Tynemouth is a for better experience and better portions.

Fresh looking and friendly staff. Not staffs fault but all our bills were wrong took going back to tills twice to sort it. The tills dont recognise if you've had one of the specials

This restaurant has a great atmosphere and is a good place to Celebrate birthdays and Anniversaries, the food is amazing, there are Vegetarian options too. He food is cooked to perfection,the staff are attentive and knowledgeable, they explain the food and recommend how to have it,there is on site parking and it’s wheelchair accessible, I highly recommend this restaurant for a lovely night out.

Visited on Sunday and had the Sunday Sharing Board for two. Absolutely excellent and something slightly different and extra special for a Sunday dinner. Highly recommended. Service was excellently provided Connor.

Have had good visits here before, but it was very poor on the last visit. Staff were nice, but the food was bad. Calamari was like rubber, ribeye was tough, lobster was undercooked and slimey, the main course was served without sides, which arrived 10 minutes later, wedge had way too much mustard and was inedible, and drink arrived just before we finished. For an expensive restaurant, very disappointing.

Rounded off beautifully by an apple pie and ice cream which in my book is a must after a steak!! The Tynemouth branch is a lovely lay out, smartly done and ideally located. Credit to the manager and most of all to Alex for making our visit so special today. Thanks very much guys!!!

I come quite often with my two small children as Miller and Carter is easily their favourite steakhouse. The food is always on point however its the service of the staff that I appreciate the most, especially Dan who is a credit to Miller and Carter, he always goes above and beyond in making each visit memorable. Great birthday lunch and was well looked after by the team as they made my birthday extra special. From the lunch menu we had steak and creme brulée with drinks. It was well prepared and delicious 😋 Thank you Alex and all the team.

The food at Miller and Carter is always delicious and this visit was no different! What really let our visit down was the service. We were one of 3 tables in as it was a very quiet day, but it still took a long time for someone to come take our drinks order, which we didn’t mind at first because the lady that served us was lovely. There was however then a long wait between the starters and main (we were there over 2 hours for two courses). During our visit we noticed all of the staff were stood together in a clump talking about ex employees, their upcoming holidays, how they owed each other money which they then stood on their phones to transfer money to each other. After dinner we were given a desert menu, and we made eye contact so many times with the staff who were still stood as a group. It got to the point where there was no staff around apart from in the group chatting. We got so frustrated and fed up that would couldn’t flag anyone down for dessert so we just got up and paid (we couldn’t flag anyone down for the bill so went to the bar). I appreciate customer service staff and the work they do, having done a lot of it myself - but the service was just wasn’t excusable at all, i’m assuming because it was a slow day but we should be treat the same as people who come in for dates or celebrations etc as that seems to be when theres good customer service reviews.

Me & my hubby came for a lunch date. We had the fixed price lunch & as our second time dining here, we again, were not disappointed. Food was incredible, our server Alex was wonderful, pleasant and she knew her stuff! Now to go home to nap in a food coma! We will be back again for sure!

Mediocre at best tonight. Watched a trainee barman pour 2 pints on Madri and the barman said tip some out and put a bigger head on it. Trainee poured some out and topped it up with Peronni. Starter and main courses were OK at best but the desserts were dreadful. Tiramisu was in a pool of coffee, which was the chefs recommendatiins, and the coulis on the cheesecake was clearly out of a shop bought bottle. How hard can it be to puree some fruit?? Standard appear to be dropping since a few weeks ago. Definitely not going back to this branch of Miller and Carter as the Newcastle Centre one is better by far. Please see reply from the Manager. They buy in their desserts as they don't have the time to make them. Absolutely gobsmacked they can make desserts.
