I’ve been going to the moonlight for years, the food is without a doubt the best around, not once in all the years I’ve been going here have I had a bad meal, the service is the very best you will ever experience, the guys here are the real deal, the full package of what you should expect from a takeaway.

Just found our new go to Indian takeaway 😋. If like me you have never been to the moonlight tandoori. Do your self a favour and try it. You won't be disappointed.

Was recommended, the food was really nice but the naan bread really let the meal down, was really chewy and hard to eat, please make sure there nice and soft.

My first visit here was in May and the food and service was excellent! I returned again today with friends and was feeling the pressure after I'd built it up after the first time! I'm pleased to say that this experience was even better! This is the takeaway I've been looking for in Wigan and although it's a bit of a trek, it is well worth it. Lovely food, reasonably priced. My new favourite.

We ordered a takeaway from here on Good Friday and the food and service was excellent. As ever with our trips to the Borough of Wigan we were amazed at the friendliness and excellent value - both were excellent here. We will return!

Cannot fault this place. Amazingly tasty food, friendly staff and a few extra freebies thrown into a large order which were greatly appreciated. First time I tried this place but it will not be the last. Most likely to become our go to place for Indian food.

Ordered the Chicken Tikka Balti and OMG it was amazing. The nan bread was very soft and the Chicken was cooked to perfection. Service was great and the place was super clean.

We work away from home quite frequently and travel all over the UK. We keep a "little gem" list of all the best places to eat and Moonlight Tandoori made the list tonight, very good food.

Brilliant Indian. Has lots to offer and lots of gluten free options for my mrs. Samber is ace and the tarka daal to die for. Only thing they don't deliver so if you're local then picking up is no issue.

Had my first vegetarian curry and I went for a vegetable bhuna. Have to say I was a bit nervous of trying it because of the vast variety of vegetables inside it. However it was delicious!!! Cabbage, green beans, potatoes etc. So lovely!!!!! Topped off with garlic naan, chips, garlic rice and onion bhajis. Would definitely recommend and would eat here again. Staff are lovely and are willing to do any of the curries vegetarian option or even just the sauce with no meat for all you veggies out there. Get free onion bhajis, free poppadoms.

Brilliant service and great friendly staff who make sure all customers leave very happy. Clean inside. Nice waiting area with sofas. Food is delicious. If you order meals, you get free onion bhajis and sometimes poppadoms, we ended up with 14+ onion bhajis. Delicious and great for the whole family. We ordered a variety of curries. All hot, all very tasty and would definitely recommend. My favourite was the Bhuna and garlic rice. Will definitely be ordering from here again. This could be my new favourite Indian takeaway in Wigan. Great prices too.

I always praise this place but tonight I ordered a tandoori mix grill and the chicken wasn't cooked through. It is the first time I've found fault with my order .

Haven’t eaten a Indian for a while but the meal tonight was superb. I had tikka balti and my wife had the korma. Great food. 👌

Live this take away, once of the nicest places I’ve ever eaten from. Always fresh and tasty, extremely clean inside (you can watch the chefs prepare each dish in front of you) and friendly service. Highly recommend. I am vegetarian and the dishes on offer are plentiful.

Not my usual curry house, but decided to visit on a friend's recommendation. What can I say, absolutely loved it. The service was impeccable from the greeting to the goodbye. The food was full of flavour and was piping hot when I got home. They don't have a delivery service but food this good is definitely worth picking up. Plus a 5 star food hygiene rating. Will defo be back!

Had a lovely meal from here last night however, I don't agree them trying to charge their customer extra £1 just because they are paying with bank card. I doubt the banks are charging them for the transaction. if they are I'd be surprised. Although they let us off this time as my order was only £11.40. People beware they want you to spend a minimum of £15 if you want to pay with a bank card.

Superb Indian takeaway, my new favourite. I had been going to Sunrise in Wigan for years but recent price rises and a fall off in quality sent me back to Moonlight. A much lighter style of curry suits me better.

Been a customer with them for over 20 years, some of the staff have been there for over 10 years. Always liked watching them cook super fast in the open kitchen. They advertise high quality food and thats what you get, sometimes its a long wait if you have not pre ordered but thats because its so popular. There are a few other indian takeaways in the same street but they just don't get the quantity of customers.....Moonlight Tandoori is King.

Been coming her for over a decade now, never had a bad meal from these guys. A wide array of to dishes to choose from and a top class service from Kobir who has a good banter with his customers. I like the Garlic Chilli and the missus likes the Zal Masala!

Been going here for years always been good food, Unfortunately tonight was terrible, very bland and no flavour, won't be going again. Maybe different chef as we haven't been for a few weeks.

I like moonlight, staff are great and the Naga is as tasty as it should be but lamb needs to be better quality, too much gristle in it.

By far my favourite Indian takeaway in Wigan. The menu contains a really good selection of traditional curries as well as chefs specials, and if you like a certain dish but want it hotter or milder, you only have to ask. Staff are amazingly friendly, especially Kobir, who recognises you even when you phone!

Have been going to Moonlight Tandoori for years and they have always supplied us with superb food, again tonight the chicken tikka pathia is superb, onion bhaji's fab and never a bad chicken or lamb korma

ordered the food, waited for the order but did not come, orders came in after me the staff knew them, they got there food but only did not get ours till it went quieter, did not even apologise would not go again

I flirt around with other Indian take always in Wigan but always end up back here. The different cuisines are distinctive from one another and generally have the classic taste. The main meals contain a high quantity of good quality meat, and the sauce is never oily or greasy. The staff are always pleasant and food is always ready when they say it will be. My only minor criticism is that they don't deliver, but when the food is this good I am happy to collect.

Normalmente he tenido muy buenas experiencias con comida para llevar de esta, pero en los últimos tiempos he tenido más y más experiencias de mala calidad y de carne muy complicado (pollo o cordero) en los platos. La más reciente (finales de julio 2016) La mayoría de los trozos de pollo en un plato Tikka Massala-jeera eran tan difíciles y correoso, estaban completamente incomible y tuve que tirar de ellos.

The best place to eat in Manchester by far!! This is the only place I eat when I visit and will be the only place too. (The staff are very pleasant too)

Having just moved to the north side of Wigan this was our first take away from here. Had read lots of good reviews and this definitely lived up to the hype, super flavour full curries which both my wife and I loved. Will definitely be going back.

We have been going for a few years now and normally I don't have time to write reviews but Moonlight is just too good not to!On our last visit I mentioned my dads 50th and if they could do food for 80 people and they said it would be no trouble at all. Despite the quantity the food was heaven and everybody loved it including the fussy kids!! A huge success and mum and dad were very impressed!The staff are amazing, the food is amazing and you really wont go anywhere else once you try!!Thank you so much....Once again!!xx

Been going here for years best in Wigan!

I have been ordering from here since they opened. I have tried others but they simply do not compare. The food is fantastic and reasonably priced. I can recommend the Chicken Chicken Masala (hot), Balti Chicken Chat or the King Prawn Balti. The service is second to none from the chefs through to the owner.My Wife is gluten intolerant and they have really supported her with suitable choices from their extensive menu.I am lucky enough to live within walking distance but it is well worth the car journey. Give them a try, I defy you to find better....anywhere!

I have just had a fantastic takeaway from here My Vegetable Samosas and Chicken Tikka were very good indeed. My Chicken Vindaloo was wonderful.... Not too hot ♨ just the right amount of heat beautiful flavours and the Chicken was quality and melt in the mouth!!! My Onion Bhajis were very good too!!! The Owner and Staff were very helpful and friendly.... The open plan kitchen was spotlessly clean and a real passion for providing a high quality standard. I would be delighted to return again!!! One of the best in the town, plenty of customers so you know the food is good. Order 2 or 3 meals and you always get free extras in the bag.

Where do I start?I cant believe we've not written a review of this place before, its fantastic. We have been ordering from here since it opened and can honestly say we have never had a bad meal. What ever you order its delicious, freshly made to order and the flavour and tastes are out of this world, its addictive. They personally know all their customers tastes and likes and are able to make great recommendations if you would like to try something different, trust me nothing is too much trouble.You will never meet a nicer family who work so hard together to make this place as popular and successful as it is. If you're looking for the best indian takeout - come here! honestly it will not disappoint. Staff are so friendly, the place is always clean and the food is always on point. I've now made this my weekly Friday night takeout. I've tried many others and this is by far the best... not just in Wigan! Looking forward to coming here next week :)

Best Indian takeaway in Wigan , we've eaten here for several years, tried other takeaways but have found them wanting,recommend them anytime.

While this isn't actually a restaurant, it more accurately being a take away, it does serve the best Indian food in Wigan and it's customers are treated like valued customers every time. After trying so many other Indian food outlets here in my home town, i've always been disappointed that they don't deliver on the taste front when compared to other great takeaways and restaurants in Darwen, Blackburn and beyond. The day I tasted the food from here though was the day I knew that this would be the take away I would use for my weekly Indian meal, as this measures up to the best i've tasted anywhere. Nowhere else that i've tried in Wigan comes close and i've tried 2 new places that have opened since I found this place around 2 years ago and they've both been disappointing, like the very many other places.

We absolutely rate this place 100%. Food is top quality every time we have never had a bad meal. It's always the correct order and staff are lovely.

I've had food from some pretty poor Indian takeaways in Wigan over the years, in fact I gave up on Indian takeaways for a very long time until I came across this gem.The staff are always friendly and courteous and the food is great. Good hygiene rating (4) and for every two meals purchased together, they give you some onion bahjis to enjoy with your meals. Not overly salty, not swimming in fat, you also get decent meat portions in each meal.I regularly get food from here and I'm never disappointed.
