BINDI of Aspull in Wigan

Ordered a takeaway last weekend and the chicken shashlik was dry and inedible. The chilli chicken was dry and the sauce watery, Nothing tasted freshly cooked. I complained to the restaurant who apologised and offered us a free meal, which we had delivered this weekend. The whole experience was completely different, the food was fresh and the chicken in both dishes succulent and tasty. Customer service is obviously valued by this restaurant who went out of their way to rectify the issue. I have only given 3 stars due to the inconsistency, but we do plan on using them again.

Being in walking distance of home we use this restaurant on quite a regular basis and it is up there with the best. A great selection of vegetarian dishes as well some excellent meat feasts. Debi and Mansi are superb front of house staff and indeed all the staff are efficient and friendly. Although the main entrance has steps there is a wheelchair ramp at the side of the building but you will have to let them know in advance if you need it and there is no adapted toilet. That is the only negative I have for Bindi!

Would definitely not recommend - never been so ill from a takeaway. The Korma tasted rotten and gave me severe food poisoning - stay away

This is my second visit 1st time in the week and was not disappointed. Food is beautiful, service fantastic, would reccomend eating here through week or weekend. Staff are really special, my go to Indian by far

I’ve ordered takeaway from Bindi of Aspull countless times, and it has always been perfect. The food is consistently fresh, flavorful, and of the highest quality. Every order arrives hot, well-prepared, and exactly as expected. This is without a doubt one of the best takeaways around. Highly recommend! 💯

Bindi is local to us and we're grateful for that. We always enjoy our meals here either when we eat in, or grab a takeaway. When we eat in we are made to feel so welcome and as if we are part of the family. The service is amazing and the staff are always attentive even with our young child. Our food is always delicious and the portions are a good size too. Thank you to all who work there

Desde el momento en que reservamos nuestra mesa, ella fue más allá para que todo fuera perfecto. Ella nos mantuvo actualizados en cada paso del camino llamando para confirmar detalles, lo que hizo nuestro día mucho más fácil y libre de estrés. La comida era absolutamente increíble cada plato estaba lleno de sabor y bellamente presentado, haciendo nuestra comida de Navidad verdaderamente especial. El ambiente festivo y el servicio excepcional hicieron que el día fuera inolvidable. Normalmente no escribo reseñas que mi pareja suele hacer, pero para esto, ¡simplemente no pude detenerme! One of the best curries we have had this year! Arrived on time and arrived hot! The portions are a good size, even the kids size is a generous amount. Will be ordering again.

Food is delicious from here and worth the wait. I love that I can get a curry with tofu. I'd like to see a mild vegan curry with tofu one day

We’ve eaten at many Indian restaurants over the years and this is without any doubt one of the very best. We aren’t in Wigan very often but if we are we always try to fit in a visit

This is by far our favourite Indian restaurant to come too, we’ve been coming here for years now and are never disappointed. The food is absolutely delicious every time, we have never had a bad meal! They always go above and beyond, are so attentive and the service is amazing! We come in here with our 2 young children and they couldn’t be more accommodating and welcoming. We love it here as a family. Highly recommend to everyone :)

This is a very very poor restaurant. Tandoori Mix starter was completely cold. Staff very apologetic and said they would bring fresh. It was the same dish but microwaved, had exectly the same cut I made in it. Staff clearly embarrassed. Not recommended.

Ate in here tonight for the 1st time. It did not disappoint. Everything we ordered was superb, the portions were generous, the service was amazing and the atmosphere was spot on. I honestly couldn't fault any of it and will definitely be going back. Highly recommend 👌

Absolutely amazing. The food tasted fabulous, the service was amazing, they're so kind, everytime I visit. While celebrating my sister's birthday, they surprised us with a sticky toffee pudding (I believe that's what it's called). It tasted amazing, along with all the food they served us prior for starters and our main course. Would 100% recommend if you want to go somewhere for special events like birthdays. The people working there were efficient and kind, I love going there.

Went there for daughters 17th with the family, great service and great food, and what's more, its the same story every time we go, can't fault the place!!

Today we had a family meal for my husband 75th Birthday. Everything was perfect the food excellent the staff were amazing nothing was a trouble and there was 14 adults and 2 children well done to all the staff thank you for making his birthday perfect

Now I’m not going to lie when I say we are regulars we are regulars. Every other week. This is because the food is seriously out of this world and I’m surprised to see there’s no awards for the food. Amazing as always and we mean it. So we decided to have a different meal, purely because we know how good the food is anyway and wasn’t disappointed. I have the fish sizzler and my god it’s a must. Debbie (the senior waitress) god love her is a true gem and because of the excellent service we receive from her is the reason and because of the food we come as often as we do. Tikka masala tasted like tomato soup with spices was not what I expected

The food smelt lovely from outside front door before we even entered. Friendly, wholesome service from the young lady. I had the tandoori mixed grill and a few other bits and my friend had a balti - Both were delightful. Would dine again if in the area

When Bindi changed ownership we worried that our favourite Indian would go downhill, and for a while our concerns were justified but after a bit of a rocky start they seem to have got their act together. We go here regularly and the food is always good the menu and chef haven’t changed, there is a great variety of vegetarian and vegan dishes as well as fish and meat options. What did change was the hands on approach of the previous owners, this left a hole in both the personal welcome and the organisation of staff. However, the promotion of Debi to head waitress has rectified both of these issues, the welcome and service is once again as good as the food. So thankfully our favourite local Indian restaurant remains our No1.

Absolutely fantastic, sweetest staff, lovely atmosphere and the price is pretty good for what you get. Recommend the Crispy Duck all the way if you're not a big spicy food fan but there's more than enough spicy and non spicy options

Always enjoy coming to this restaurant. Best Indian in Wigan imo. We are a group of friends who walk to Bindi 4 times a year. The reward is a warm welcome, great service and great Indian food. The manageress is very efficient and knows how to cater for our needs (12 hungry & thirsty middle aged blokes). Highly recommended!

Bindi was recommended to us so as it was my husband’s 50th birthday we decided to book a party here and they had decorated the table and made it very special and very accommodating with young children (even bought out the cake singing happy birthday! Food was amazing all the family enjoyed it and will be booking here again for future party’s and date nights, Thank you Bindi x

Yesterday, I had the pleasure of visiting this restaurant with my friends. Absolutely fantastic experience. The food at this restaurant is superb with beautifully presented. They made us feel truly valued as guests. They are friendly and attentive. Can't wait to come back for more!!👍👍👍

Five of us went to Bindi and it’s By far the worst dining experience I have ever had. The service of this place is nothing short of appalling, we received our second courses whilst plates from our first course were left on the table throughout the meal. Two of our curries were brought out wrong, one was sent back and the curry came out wrong again. The food was very basic and lacked flavour. I would not recommend!

Never again, food arrived 10 mins ago and went straight in the bin. The tandoori mixed grill was shocking and the prawns were welded together. You could even tell what was what. The tikka masala was like Heinz tomato soup poured over some chicken. … tried it on a recommendation but will take it on the chin and move on.

Absolutely love Bindi, the pride of Aspull! Staff are always friendly and food is always top notch. Wanted to try something a little different this time round and was not disappointed with the slow cooked lamb shank bhuna. weirdly, there was something about the way this dish sat on the plate surrounded by a nice moat of sauce that I found really fun and satisfying to eat. As for my partner, she will only eat curry (korma) if it’s from Bindi, I find this very comical but is a testament to Bindis great quality. Cocktails were also great

I ordered a takeaway from here, the children pakora starter I probably won't order again. I like my chicken succulent and not dry with a crispy spicy batter. It wasn't the best pakora I've had but it was ok The mains I had chicken Rogan josh and it was lovely and tasty. I really enjoyed it. The rice was absolutely spot on. The chicken tikka masala did just taste like chicken with Heinz soup but I feel that happens with a lots of places, if they just mix tomato sauce and yogurt they are giving you what it says on the menu but I love chicken tikka masala and only few places get it right. The naan bread tasted good, although it was very thin like a wrap but it tasted good. Mix review some lovely some ok I would eat here again but be more selective on my choice. Thank you

Fancied an Indian so I’d seen the Bindi and some colleagues who live up here told me it was good- they were right.Ordered my meal, and agreed to collect it. Very pleasant young lady who got my order prepared, I was offered a drink, I was driving so I declined, she kindly gave me a bottle of beer to take back, and put in two poppadoms. The curry was a balti, hot, tasty and just enough to give you that really authentic taste, nice keema rice and Bombay potato side. All tasty and nicely seasoned. None left and a lovely treat on a wet night I will return and go to the restaurant which was spotless, light and looked welcoming Good job Bindi

Visited not long after they had opened so was the only one there intill another 2 workers came in and with the whole restaurant being empty they were sat on the table next to me! Service and staff where great but unfortunately I wasn't a great fan of the food, I ordered a chicken tikka masala paswari nan and rice, there was no creamy taste to the masala but more of a tomato puree flavour the the nan was waffer thin.

Regularly get take-away from Bindi, and am always very impressed. I have now tried most of the chefs special and signature dishes and find it hard choosing which one I will have because they are all so good. Staff and service as good as ever. Would definitely recommend.

We visited last weekend as a walk-in, four of us including my wife and myself, our son and daughter in law. We were warmly greeted and soon taken through to our table. Our son and daughter in law are both vegan and the manager clearly understands what is required to adhere to a vegan diet. He asked the chef to make a special recipe for the onion bhajis (no egg). Very good meal and service.

Tried a new place tonight, really glad we did! The vindaloo is amazing, but spice is on another level! Garlic Naan 12/10. Didn’t see an option for paneer curry but contacted to see if they could sub chicken for it and they were more than happy to accommodate! Amazing service and food!

Once again the staff at bindi were as always extremely good, very professional and went the extra mile to make my family comfortable and catered brilliantly to meet my families needs,thanks bindi. The food was again excellent. The venue was warm and inviting. Plenty of room for parking. In short, cracking food,in a lovely place, at the right price, wonderful staff.
