Lovely food and vast menu. This is our local curry house, often come here with friends and family and they have excellent service & staff, never had a bad experience. Such a great atmosphere!

This is mime and my girlfriends regular place to visit for a nice meal out. Food is always top quality and the staff make sure you are enjoying your night from the point you walk in to the point you leave. Can't recommend it enough!

We've been to the restaurant and had as a takeaway. Excellent every time, beautiful rich sauces with not too much heat. Always friendly and quick.

Had a lovely meal here over the weekend. The service was spot on, very welcoming and although the restaurant was starting to get busy our food arrived very quickly. Our meal was delicious couldn’t fault it. We have dined here on previous occasions and have never been disappointed.

The actual curry was nice, rice was way overcooked, and it was a luke warm to cold. Also, they forgot to send the chutneys with our order. Seemed mean to get them to drop it off, still. The delivery guy was friendly.

Food quality was alright, most the curry tasted the same, muttor paneer tasted sweet. For the price it was not exceptional but good, did not have salt or some lacked flavour. It was like it was cooked in a hurry

The food was cold and had to be reheated, we were one samosa short, which wasn’t worth phoning about as people had started eating. For the money we spent I expected much better. Overall very disappointing and won’t order from them again,

Normally so pleased but order was late (despite pre order at around 4pm) and then was delivered some kind of meat dish rather than the chicken Jalfrezi ordered.

Food was terrible Everything was cold and most of it went in the bin. Disappointed as I eat in the restaurant and the food is normally top quality.

I have to say I was looking forward to this meal as my first time ordering. However the Rogan Josh was simply tasteless. The masala however was nice and seasoned. I do take exception to £2.95 for one small onion Bhaji. Plus when ordering poppadoms 70p for one is extreme. The mains, sides and breads where amazingly priced, however they really have not got the potion sizes for the starters correct.

Very bad. Not re ordering ever again. Everything covered in a red sauce. Terrible everything tasted the same and like out of an oily jar.

One of the dishes was cold when delivered. Asked for tge ceylon to be less spicy but instead it was just bland and was akin to a korma so bit disappointed

Moonlight food is always good. However the order was very late. Ordered through Just Eat but couldn’t get any response from them to chase. So called Moonlight who delivered in 10 minutes but unfortunately the food was cold. Better to order direct as never had this problem with the restaurant itself- so avoid Just Eat!

Absolutely shocking! Food arrived 2 and a half hours after ordering! Stone cold, completely inedible! Definitely will not use again

The food was outstandingly good. We all enjoyed our meal. Due to having delivered early needed to be warmed in microwave when the guests arrived.

Ordered a takeaway this evening being a regular customer - fully appreciate the fact we love out of the delivery area - food arrived with no rice - called to tell them no rice was delivered to be told they’ve shut! Ive explained how can we eat an Indian without rice to be told to eat in with narn bread ! Rice was paid for and not recieved - the attitude of one of the staff members shouting in the background telling me they was closed was awful closed or not they’ve taken £40 of my hard earned money foe a meal I’ve not eaten ! To have to buy a kebab as other Indians was shut ! Be careful when paying unless you know you’ve revived your order !! My date night went from a romantic meal for two to a greasy kebab and dry chips !!!

Had a delivery that took one hour and ten minutes!! The food turned up cold so we had to reheat everything which we shouldn't have to do. The curries themselves were barely tasteless and disappointing.Overall seriously avoid and go elsewhere.I just wish we had gone to our regular Indian which is Tandoori Nights!!

Moonlight has been a Broadstone institution for years. We used it through the years but for the past 5 years it’s been the only curry shop we’ve used. Standard, quality & service is consistently high. The variety on the menu is good. The team will make recommendations to suit your taste if you need guidance. They’ll also suit existing dishes to your taste if you request. They’ve been great during lockdown. Just make sure you order early for takeaway. We won’t be going anywhere else anytime soon. Absolutely awful service & food Avoid

Unable to track order as the restaurant was continually engaged (left the phone off the hook?) When it was finally delivered the delivery guy grunted, said "ere yer are" and thrust the bag at me with no apology for the delay. Customer service at its very worse. Sadly not for the first time.

Lovely food, it was just a shame it wasn't very warm. Had to heat everything up in the microwave and we only live 5 mins away so it didn't get cold on journey home! 😔

Unfortunately had to chase when delivery hadn’t arrived. Placed order at 5.30 it turned up 7.40 would have been quicker to turn up and eat in the actually restaurant

My food was quite nice, it unfortunately arrived very late. The back up service from Justeat was abysmal, i ended calling the restaurant myself to sort out why my order was so late.

Cracking curry and full of flavour. Piping hot and freshly cooked. Have tried a few other restaurants in the area but will always return to Moonlight now i’ve found it. Cheers.

Went for lunch with my son. Service was attentive without being overbearing.The food was superb. My son had lamb tikka and I had a chicken Malaya. Frustrating to see people moaning about August wait times. I don’t see how any business can be blamed for a government initiative that overbooked every restaurant in the county when they had no choice but to take every penny they could.Look beyond that and enjoy the food, well worth a try in my book.

Arrived on time, was still hot which is a big plus with takeaways as sometimes can be like warm. Good quality food would order again. One of the best Indians around the Poole area I reccomend

Deciding to take advantage of the Eat out to help out promotion, we booked a table of 4 for Monday 31st August. Arriving slightly early we were dismayed to see a queue out the front. The people in the queue had also booked ahead. We were let in about 15 minutes after our booking time and seated. Every table was occupied and quite close to other tables. The restaurant had not changed anything to take into account social distancing. We waited 20 minutes to be given a menu & take drinks order. 45 minutes to take food order & we had been in there 90 minutes before the food arrived. I have rated it two as the food quality was very good. The owners of this restaurant showed exceptional greed in cramming as many customers in as possible to maximise profit. With hindsight, I wish I had left within first few minutes & got a takeaway, but did not realise at the time just how long it would take. Will not be rushing back there.

Ordered at 4pm, still hasn’t arrived at 8:15pm. Great way to ruin a night...

Took 3 hours to be delivered, arrived with wrong dishes and they refused to even refund the wrong parts.

Wish you were in Manchester! Recommended to us by a local couple in a bar. We gave it a go , it was the most authentic curry I’ve tasted. The quality of the food and service was excellent

Went out for a meal with friends. Everywhere I have been so far, shops, cafes etc staff wear masks but not here, they were standing above us serving food with no masks, distancing between tables was not sufficient, cursory wipes of menus when taken away, it was a Monday evening and felt like a normal busy Saturday night. It’s put me off going out.

TAKEAWAY FOOD – TEPID – POOR EXPERIENCE TWICE!We have used The Moonlight Indian Restaurant from the very beginning, when it originally opened and operated from one smallish room. This I believe was in the early 80's. The restaurant has always been fairly good, unlike the takeaway / delivery food and service, which has been persistently poor.During June I ordered takeaway meals on two occasions and went for "Our Chef's Recommendations”, which are the most expensive dishes. Both times these dishes have arrived tepid, which has meant that I have had to re-heat them in my own oven - hardly the point of ordering takeaway food.On both occasions I have complained to the "order taker" when the meals arrived. The “order taker” has taken my number, apologised and advised that the manager will telephone me to discuss the matter. On both occasions the manager has not bothered to make contact. These dishes are not cheap at £8.95 / £9.95 each and the least I would expect is for them to turn up at a temperature that can be eat without warming up. The side dishes (rice etc) are always hot and ready to eat. The rice and side dishes are packaged in tin foil containers with foil / cardboard lids, the main / curry dishes are packaged in thin plastic containers with plastic lids; perhaps this is where the issue lies or perhaps it is the time taken from cooking to delivery; which always appear to border on 45 / 60 minutes from ordering.It would now appear that this the end of my relationship with this particular restaurant. If the manager (after being given two opportunities) cannot be bothered to discuss such matters with long-term customers; this particular long-term customer can no longer be bothered to order my food from this restaurant

All really nice food. The madras wasnt as spicy as I expected. But all very nice none the less!

The food came so quickly but you know why it did the food was rushed as the curry had chunks of garlic in not even just one or two but loads. The food was also luke warm. Makes me question about ordering from here again.

We used to visit here regularly but have still been able to enjoy a few take outs during lock down and as usual, the quality of food is reliably good. Service is always friendly, welcoming and polite. We can recommend the king prawn jafrani and the Moonlight special biriyani. Collection or delivery are both options.

We had a takeaway. Our food was average/good. I had a rogan josh which had no spice at all, was as mild as a masla. And food could of been hotter. Other then that it was good.

We were visiting the area and they managed to find us a table. The menu is extensive and the staff attentive. The food was excellent and not over priced.

Have been going to Moonlight for many years, always excellent, but after the refurb, the portions have got smaller, prices have gone up, and the food is not always hot !! Planning to give them one more chance soon !!

We had a wonderful family meal two weeks ago and returned with friends one week later. Both times, the food was great and the service was excellent

We booked a couple weeks ago as was my birthday and heard it gets busy. That’s a understatement. Would not return here even though food was ok. Had poppadoms but no pickles for a while after. Drinks but no glasses for a while and main meal took hour and half to arrive. I never mind waiting as usually means food is fresh but good customer service should be to advise of a delay. We asked several times where our food was. Such a shame as had been recommended to go here.

We love coming to the Moonlight for a family meal out. Our 4 yr old daughter really looks forward to going. The staff are really friendly and service is fantastic. Food is very tasty and always served hot and fresh, I love the lamb tikka balti it is the best, so full of flavour. I definitely recommend for a relaxed meal out with the family.

We live locally so this place is very handy. Service is excellent. We were reprimanded a little because we hadn’t booked but it was early and not busy. Tandoori King Prawn met my needs but did not have much flavour. Partners current was good, papadums and pickles are very good. Food is average but service more than makes up for it for a quick meal.

I rarely complain, look at my reviews, but this place is terrible. I ate their last night with a friend and immediately when got home was feeling unwell. This lasted all night, not fun at all. I went here 1 time before about 2 months earlier and was also unwell but put it down to bad luck. I have since spoken to local friends and they all report bad experiences. Broad stone has several places to eat, don't make this one of them.

After going by recently a couple of times the restaurant seemed much busier than the last few years and had undergone a major refurbishment. The bar is also now at the front so all these changes were drawing us to try this place again after several years without a visit.

Group of eight...super meal, service great as always. If you fancy a curry locally, this is hard to beat and always value for money. Definetely recommend a visit.

We have been visiting this Indian for a long time now and it never fails to disappoint. The restaurant looks amazing now that it has been given that much needed refurbishment. The food is really tasty and flavoursome. The only criticism is that some of the curries could be spicier but on occasions we have asked for extra chillies and they have always accommodated this. I would most definitely recommend this place !

We have been very supportive of the moonlight over the years. Recently they have had a refit with 2 sittings now. If you are on the early sitting you are rushed if you are on the late sitting you have to wait so long to be served. The portions have been cut down and the curries are very hit and miss on flavour. We expecting great things unfortunately not so.

Moonlight was very busy tonight - New Years Eve - instead of enjoying and creating a party atmosphere they kept taking take away orders leaving people who had booked tables waiting for over an hour for food. Only when people started walking out did they start to bring their food. Portions were smaller than usual. We were served our acceptable starter and main in an hour so we were luckier than most. Imagine our surprise when instead of being offered the dessert menu we were given the bill. We said we wanted a dessert and coffee but were told we couldn’t have either as our table was booked out for 8.30 and we should have been told. We weren’t told and our table was only booked by us for 7pm. The bill for our food and drinks was £44.20. We were told if we left immediately we could have it reduced to £40. We said we would stay and finish our bottle of wine - we still had about 1/3 of it left. We were then moved to a side table and left alone for about 30 minutes. Then the Manager came and asked us to settle our bill. He said we had to pay in full as we had not left when they asked. We settled on £42. We have been regulars of Moonlight for years but will not be returning. They have forfeited regulars having good service for short term gain. #disappointing.

Fabulous ambience following recent refurbishment. Food was excellent and what made our evening was outstanding service. Probably the best we’ve ever received in an Indian restaurant.
