Moonlight Balti Express in Maldon

Very polite and fast service but the food was horrendous , tiny cubes of meat in a watery bland sauce , 2 different dishes arrived and looked and tasted the exact same no time or care had been put into any of these dishes ! ended up throwing the lot away , up there with the worst Indian Iv ever had , won’t be ordering again looks like they’ve given up

Ordered a take away for the first time in a long while. Tasted lovely was loads for me & i ate for 2 days. Staff member was friendly & food was ready on time for me to collect. Discounted price made it better than a supermarket meal. Will be treating myself more often.

A visit to the dentist would be needed if I chewed my way through the lamb. Over cooked is an understatement. Meat samosas were the opposite, under cooked and no meat in sight. I have used this restaurant a few times before and it was always good. Unfortunately this time I have to rate it as the worst Indian takeaway I have ever had.

Genuinely THE WORST Indian Takeaway meal I’ve ever had. Both my husbands food and mine tasted exactly the same… bland and water. Even though we both ordered different things, the sauce was so watery we needed a paddle to get through it. The chicken was chewy and I’ve never had a more vinegary ‘mint’ sauce. Only thing I ate was the poppadoms as you can’t really ruin them! Would give nil poi if I could!

Great service, great food... perfect spice and somehow even after delivery always tastes fresh. BEST IN TOWN

Came today with my parents for mt dads birthday and the food was amazing. I would highly recommend the chicken tikka starter it was the best we’ve ever had Thanks to the staff and the chefs we will definitely be back

PLEASE AVOID - had the worst food poisining - I'm sure it was the tandoori prawns if not its the processed chicken they use . Honestly a health hazard please avoid unless you want to be very ill.

Food is fabulous but their onion bhaji is tooooooooo hot! I git a mouthful of Chile!!!!

Excellent Indian takeaway. Proper old style curry none of this watery rubbish you get from other takeaways in town.

Was very disappointed with this meal today! Korma and rice was cold and Bhuna very chewy! The korma looked very dark in color also and wasn’t given any Poppadom’s or sauce to go with my meal! Will not be ordering here again!!!

Kids korma was very nice, tandori mixed grill and mint sauce was very very peppery, added milk to tone it down, first time ordered, not sure if I will again, many to try from in Maldon ..very disappointed unfortunately.

Rubbish customer service, after waiting 20 mins past predicted delivery time we received a order cancelled message. No attempt was made to contact me and I could not contact the restaurant as the line was constantly engaged. Voicemail box was full, probably with complaint messages. Will never attempt to use the restaurant in the furture or recommend it to anyone else 🤬

Have been ordering from MB for many years. Had a family get together yesterday (17 adults) and, rather than do all the cooking myself, we decided to do a MB takeaway. Absolutely top decision!! Food was all ready to collect when we arrived. 6 full bags had all the right items and as usual it was extremely tasty. Many thanks Moonlight Balti !!
