Good coffee shop with good range of coffee and food.

Always friendly staff, seating abit austere now, not much atmosphere, used to be better

Popped in for a coffee and just wanted to make Costa aware of something. Jasmine who served me today was incredibly polite, helpful and cheerful, employees like this are a credit to any business.

An enjoyable Coffee in a clean and well kept Shop, in no small part due to the friendly, smiling girl who conscientiously swept the floor and wiped down the tables.

Love the Costa on the Maldon high street, the pleasant staff and the lovely coffee as always. We are new to the area and will definitely make this Costa a regular.

The third Costa in a fortnight that I have visited, and the third that I was told the dishwasher is broken and had to have a takeaway cup. I didn't stay this time. I rather think it is down to staff costs rather than mechanical failure. Very disappointing for what once a premium brand.

After some shopping at Next, my friend and I excitedly went upstairs to the Costa to try the new seasonal drinks we have seen advertised everywhere. Very disheartened to be told they did not have any of the syrups so we could not have the drinks. No alternatives were offered and the young staff were unfriendly and clearly fed up to be there by their response to us so we sadly left

Enjoyable cup of coffee and cake. Not busy (Sunday early afternoon) so it was an opportunity for a quiet catch-up with my sister, comfy seats, no irritatingly noisy children and the chance to people-watch. Efficient service and pleasant staff. First visit to this branch, will definitely visit again.

Right in the middle of Maldon High Street this Costa is a nice cool oasis in this warm weather. Nice refurb of the interior. All the drinks you would expect, hot or cold and a good selection of cakes and snacks. Even when busy service is good. For me the best one in Maldon.

Definitely recommend the Toblerone or Terry's Orange Chocolate hot chocolates, they are both fantastic 👌🏻 Only available in winter for some reason. Not a fan of the best drinks only being available for a few months, very annoying. The normal year-round drinks are average so the only reason I ever go there is for the seasonal drinks, but only for 3 months at a time. A strange and unfortunate business tactic. Great place to sit and have a coffee, or grab it to go on the way to the bus stop. There are bathrooms in the back too.

Great service and polite staff. The coffee shop was clean and trays were cleared quickly. Majority of the seating was a bit kitchen chair type but there are a few comfy chairs and a banquette. Coffee was great and the toasties were tasty. Clearly the Internet connection was good judging by the number of laptops in use.

Usual Costa coffee shop offering drinks and snacks. Very clean. The only problem I always find with Costa is service always slow due to the way drinks are prepared. Quality of all products very good.

Good service and well placed in maldon town center

Quick service, gent making the drink almost knocked mine over (accidents happen), but then just poured the made drink into a new glass rather than make a new one. Bit odd, but ok.

I am new to enjoying coffee and I was intimidated to go into a coffee shop. A lovely gal with rainbow hair helped explain things to me and made me a frappe with only one shot to see how I went. I loved it. The staff have all been kind and patient with my fumbling orders and questions. There's a young man who's tall with glasses who was very helpful today also. ( I have poor eyesight so I can't read the name badges, apologies to the staff as they deserve recognition)there's a lovely atmosphere and the shop smells delicious too.

Yet again a great experience at Costa Coffee on the Blackwater Retail Park, Fullbridge, Maldon, Essex.. Good coffee, good food, very comfortable surroundings. And yet again I must pay credit to the young lady Alice for her brilliant smile and customer service. A definite candidate for a SERVICE EXCELLENCE AWARD

Visited as a stop through on journey to Potters Five Lakes. Friendly staff, toilets available, clean. Tea and cake a little treat.

Took one bite and didnt taste right. Opened and realised the bacon was almost raw. I had to take it out and cook it myself.....

It is the usual costa coffee shop but it is the staff that make this branch exceptional. They are always very helpful especially to the elderly and always friendly.

Typical Costa coffee - good service, usual prices. Food and drink good quality. Plenty of seating space. Clean toilets. Shame the tray wasn't as clean 😕

Hard working staff keeping queue moving, clean, tidy!

Not a particularly pleasant experience if I'm honest. 3 girls serving and trying to do their best but they were getting a little flustered at times and service was slow. But they were pleasant at all times. Also it was lunchtime and busy and very noisy. Shields were in place at the counters but most customers were not wearing masks or observing social distancing. Tables were wiped down after each customer left.

If you want a good flavoured cup of coffee then this is the place for you. The staff there are very friendly, they also can provide you with some very tasty treats to eat too.

Poor guy doing a grand job on his own at peak breakfast time, you need more staff at peak times if your charging a premium rate for coffee. Queue way too long.

Bit of a painful time in here today. In a queue with two lots of people causing issues. Service very slow. Staff pleasant enough and I can only assume they are worn down with 'coviditis'. Not something you want to encounter in your first visit in over a year.

I just popped in there for a cup of tea on Monday and was really pleased to see how well it was being run under lockdown as regards social distancing and hygiene. All measures have been taken to comply with the current necessary conditions - some tables blocked off, hand sanitiser available etc. The toilets were clean too. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. The tea is drinkable and they do some little gluten-free iced cherry bakewell tarts which are good. I just wish they would do more gluten-free food, then I would visit more often.

I'm sure the 'Baristas 'are trained to say, when they see your points total...Would you like to use some of your points Madam? Or similar... But she didn't. ..just shrugged her shoulders.. There should be a list for trainees on the till...1.Smile 2. Ask the Customer if they would like to use their points and not when they've paid the bill. ..

Coffee good, staff friendly, but almost no food options available. This is becoming increasingly common in Costa stores across Essex. Costa going to go bust if they don't sort this out very quickly.

Love Costa coffee but can be expensive ok if you can afford it

I have used this branch of the chain before and went there yesterday after a bad experience in another nearby independent coffee shop. I was served by a gem of a lady who was on her own due to staffing problems. Excellent coffee and pleasant atmosphere. I shall return.

If you are visiting the lovely old town of Maldon & fancy a good cup of coffee then you will find this coffee house half way down the High Street. It is a nice size & there are plenty of tables & chairs for you to relax in. They can provide you with a variety of coffees & they can also provide you with snacks & delicious cakes & all for a very reasonable price.

Clean and tidy. Staff were friendly and we were served quickly. Drinks were fine as expected from a large chain franchise.

Oh god. What a miserable place to work obviously. There is little to no enthusiam from anyone other than (cindy?) Your coffee isnt the best, its burnt and made in dirty double espresso cups that are reused from the 3 people infront of me, plus a dead extra espresso that you charged me for. The staff are rude and blunt and short and not one person smiled. The floor was fine but due to the lack of urgency the back tables could be forgotten about. The cinnamon bun was stale, there was little to no communication between anyone and i guess youre blessed by your prime position in town. I honestly dont think ill be going back! It was so loud and the atmsophere seemed stressed despite having three people working and never kore than 3 in the queue.

Good service but no vegan options

This is a very popular coffee cafeteria. People seem to like it and use it to meet up there. Mothers have room to get pushers in. Although when it's very busy perhaps this not so easy. Staff are courteous. Like all coffee chains service can seem slow when demand is high. Maybe due for a makeover.

While staff and cakes and sandwiches have remained adequate the coffee has gone from bad to worse. Seems Costa have introduced weaker blend.

We recently went to Maldon to get some Christmas shopping & after doing so went into costa for some refreshments. This is a nice spacious café with lots of good seating & tables. The staff there are friendly & can provide you with a great cup of coffee & a tasty cake & all for a very reasonable price.

Floor filthy.. Tables not cleared. . Toilets disgusting.. Toilet paper on the floors and urine on floor and on seat. The toilets are male and female. Lack of hygiene. On my last visit a member of staff was sitting on the floor cleaning the iron railings. She'd be more use if she had been sweeping the floors and clearing /cleaning the tables

This cafe has comfortable chairs and bar seating along the street side window. The coffee's good and the staff are excellent.

Great drive thru. Asked for a little cold water in my peppermint tea to avoid having a scalding hot drink to deal with when driving. They said fine, no problem but forgot to do it. Didn't realise until I'd driven off.

Surprisingly big for a costa coffee store. I just had a soft drink when I visited, but the hot drinks are probably the same and the food is also probably inedible (which is the case for both Costa and Starbucks).

Not a big fan of Costa lately due to a few probs locally. However we called in at the Maldon branch during the tremendous heatwave last week and absolutely revelled in the air con. On this occasion the refreshments and staff were great, even tho the barista lost our milk after asking which type we wanted... :D

Always clean and tidy. The building makes a great coffee shop and has excellent views of the high street and we'll situated for all the local carparks. An asset for Maldon.
