I am a regular user of Monty's cafe usually salads due to expanding waistline but all the food I have had from there has been great. Try their dinner of the day, my personal favourite is faggots & peas but all of them are a low cost treat. Monty's do not buy cheapest catering food and you can tell they only use quality ingredients.

Food was all fried. Sausages where nice but bacon was fried not grilled. Toast came as part of the breakfast but was served before main meal arrived and was spread not butter. Tea was grey and not very nice. Like the idea of tinned tomatoes but have to say it isn’t anything special. Also forgot some extra items I ordered when questioned was told “I should of asked earlier” then some comment made like. What did that kid say.

A friendly little cafe behind the skip shop. Just nicely cooked food. Proper breakfasts. Lots of choice. Comfort food dinners like in the good old days. Also salads. Something for everone. Take outs too. I highly recommend.

There are very few 'old fashioned' type cafes around this area so this is very welcome. You can get a decent fry-up for a reasonable price served with a smile. Warm, comfy environment and great parking.

This restaurant was recommended to me by many of my colleagues and after eating there myself I can see why. I am sure I will go there again and strongly recommend it to anyone who loves home made food.

Staying at nearby Travelodge we looked online for somewhere for lunch and came across this fab little hidden gem of a cafe and truckstop. Freshly cooked food, great menu choices, lovely friendly service and tremendous value for money. What more could you want?

Great venue for local artists and makers. Usually demonstrations taking place. Fabulous cakes and drinks available. It's not a pub anymore! Don't rate it low just because it's not been updated on h

Easy walk up from the Canal (Bridge 102 15-20 mins). Second time we’ve been in and as good as the first. Brilliant well kept real ales - Goats Milk (CAMRA Champion Beer 2017) & Phipps IPA. Food is hom
