Stopped here enroute to Cornwall for lunch, which was absolutely spot on, staff were friendly and welcoming, and after our delicious lunch decided to have coffee and cake which was fantastic, but my favourite part of the visit was the beautiful Therapy dog the owner had, highly recommended this little gem of a place.

Excellent egg and homemade chips. Great service from lovely people. The place was busy at lunchtime which was a good sign. Lots of choice. Soup, sandwiches, all day breakfasts plus lots of things I didn't take much notice of cos I'm a vegetarian. Even my Earl Grey tea was delightful!

Lovely place with a lovely atmosphere and food. Staff and Locals were really welcoming and chatty. Twiggy (my little dachshund) loved it there. All the dogs were brilliant and very friendly especially Mol! Lovely little find! Would definitely pop back if we were in the area again or if we needed a serotonin boost! Thank you! 🖤

We visited while on holiday and had a fantastic early evening meal. The hosts were very attentive and looked after the children really well. Very warm atmosphere and great menu variety. Would highly recommend.

Only came across this hidden cafe with a community spirited hostess on our way back to South Wales & were smitten by how friendly and accommodating they were. If anyone in your group has a hidden need, for example avoiding cafes with a cabinet full of coca cola cans, Croes y Ceiliog at Llanwrda has the solution, making you feel like a family member. Their tasty home made food too = return visit a definite!

I do not cook at all when The Penny Black is open ! I feel really sorry for cafes and restaurants like this ! It's not their fault that they are unable to open up at the moment still ! The Post office is an integral part of the Burry Port community and as such will have struggled to retain their loyal clientele! Not everyone is,driven by price but as I intend to eat there 3 or 4 times a week , still, I'm very grateful that the prices are priced really realistically , as I'm single and only on my works pension, still ! Lol x Thanks for all the care the staff gave given me since moving to Burry Port/ Pembrey. South Wales. Th

Had a delicious meal here. Would particularly recommend the broccoli tempura, the roasted carrots with whipped feta and the chocolate stout cake.
