Very nice restaurant, great service and food, looking forward to return

Great evening with my family, feels like a West End restaurant but just around the corner from my home in Sidcup

My first visit and hopefully not the last! The food was gorgeous and the service was outstanding!! The lovely staff couldn’t do enough for us. Came with my daughter while visiting her from Yorkshire. The staff were extremely friendly and courteous. Couldn’t fault the food either. We both had chicken masala with pilau rice and naan. Delicious! Can’t wait to come back on my next visit. Thank you to all the staff.

Superb restaurant. A fine menu, all the classic and a few unique options too. Service was impeccable and done with a smile. Staff are jovial and helpful. The restaurant (7pm on Sat) was full, but not too noisy. Plenty of bars in the area too should you want to continue your night.

Reserved a set menu for a small group at Moghul. The space was well laid out and the servers friendly and attentive. The food was prepared in a timely manner and was delicious. I am happy to recommend and look forward to visiting again.

Food was lovely. Our table was in a really noisy part of the restaurant made even louder by the cutlery cleaning at end of the evening. Totally understand it needs to be done but was so noisy.

One of the most beautiful places I've ever been. The atmosphere is amazing, but it would be nothing if the people weren't so good. Their service is excellent, very professional, and helpful.I had to request something to be removed if possible from my main course due to allergies, and they've made sure it was done. We felt so much spoiled and left so satisfied, happy, and relaxed.I would definitely recommend it. It's an amazing place for celebrations or for just a quiet special meal. Till next time.

We travelled over to Sidcup from St Albans to meet some relatives who lived locally plus two family members from America. I personally visit several Indian restaurants a year and can say that the Moghul is one of the best that I have eaten in. The staff were excellent and very attentive. The food was outstanding both in choice and quality plus the portions were enormous. At the conclusion of the evening the chef came out to meet us and was introduced to our American family members who were suitably impressed, they were both treated to an Indian sweet which they loved. Highly recommended.

Stunning! I called in by chance and asked for a chicken madras to be cooked in a specific way and it was way above my expectations. Further to this, the restaurant is clean, modern and very well presented. Lastly a big thanks to everyone who cooked and served me 👍

Huge let down for a birthday night out , waiters seemed to serve everyone else other than us . Had to keep trying to catch their attention . Bad service won’t be back

We were the only two in the restaurant on a Wednesday lunchtime which has a noon till 2pm lunch slot. People are missing out. We had attentive service and excellent food, nicely presented, which we both enjoyed enormously. Liked the restaurant and will return to sample more. Could not eat all of my meal so the staff bagged it up for me. Perhaps diners are put off by the restricted lunchtime hours as the menu is extensive and it was hard to choose. Perhaps a restricted lunchtime choice to make it quicker to choose would help with a meal deal price applied. Who knows what brings diners in. I loved it and will go again.

Had an excellent evening at the Moghul, hadn’t been there for probably 6 or 7 years. Decor is really nice, food is excellent and a great atmosphere although can be a little noisy when trying to chat round the table due to how busy it gets. My only criticism was the large Glenmorangie whisky I ordered did taste watered down. I really hope I am wrong about that but I do drink scotch and that definitely wasn’t quite right.

I had chicken shashlik it is a dry dish but not burnt too much as mine was naan and was completely burnt black under what happened to the sultanas in a peshwari naan no restaurant seems to add them in anymore

Moghul in our opinion is one of the best Indian food restaurants in the Sidcup area, the space and atmosphere are as always excellent. The only negative from my own personal point of view was the King Prawn piri piri was lacking Prawns and consistency. The 1st time I ordered this dish was a few months ago, each time I visit the dish seems to change. This time the Prawns were lacking and I had to dig deeper into the dish to find them, it's gone from a nice clean presentation with the Prawns on top to a dish were they were drowning in onions and other vegetables they were difficult to find. On the whole our large group enjoyed the food and drinks, just need to keep to the schedule .

Poor service, was constantly lent over the whole meal. Everything took so long. This meal was so expensive when in all honesty I wouldn’t have paid half of the money for it. Service charge was added when there was no useful service provided. Would definitely NOT recommend. Best part was the hand towel !

Great food again, as I have been before but the service was poor. At the end of the meal, we were offered some drinks on the house, but the waiter simply left the tray on our table for us to take the glasses off ourselves.

A very nice restaurant with attentive staff and a warm atmosphere. The staff treated my daughters with fantastic hospitality and as a first experience of dining at an Indian restaurant they were very impressed and look forward to returning. Food was lovely and presented well.

Food was good, but we felt cramped on our table. We were seated too close to people next to us. I did ask if we could move to a different table so that we would have a bit more space. Staff seemed reluctant but offered a different table, but that didn't look any better, it was still next to another table. Restaurant was not busy (only two other tables were occupied), as it was Sunday around 5pm.

Was very busy on Saturday night. Service was very attentive and quick but didn’t have much of a gap between our starter to our main. The food was delicious and plentiful

Always used this Indian When we lived in London. So staying with relatives was really excited to use it again . It’s so sad it has really gone down hill. I ordered a chicken madras that was greasy and lacking flavor also both mine and my husbands chicken was very tough,he had a Malayan which he said was very pasty. Such a shame as it was always our favorite but won’t be returning 😔

The food was delicious and the service was great. We were left alone quite a bit, which to be fair is a good thing because we weren’t being rushed, but we did have to call out as and when we needed anything.

The moghul… the food was superb. A lot of different dishes on the menu. Restaurant had a lovely atmosphere … would highly recommend we had a perfect evening.

Poor service recieved from the manager. His level of customer service was unsatisfactory he was rude and inattentive. I was sorely disappointed with my dining experience and I will definitely not be returning to this establishment.

Would not recommend at all. The food was cold when it arrived so it was reheated in the microwave. The service was shocking, no attention to people needing drinks had to keep asking The bill had £40 of extra drinks on it luckily I spotted this and it got corrected but not worth the money will never be going back. One of the worst curry houses I have ever been too a complete waste of money along with an automatic service charge on the bill which I wished I had asked to be removed.

Booked a table for 7 people & had to change booking time at short notice. Nothing was too much trouble prior to booking & that continued on the night we visited the restaurant. Good food for all & excellent service.

Always good service but more importantly great food. More expensive than most but always a very good meal

Food and service as usual was excellent however it was spoilt when we asked for an additional small bowl of tikka masala sauce. We were shocked when the bill came and we were charged £4.90 which with tips comes to c£5.50. Virtually half the cost of a full meal. We are regulars there so mistakenly thought they would just give it to us. Very disappointed.

It’s clear only the finest undgredience is used in the amazingly flavasome curries dishes you will have the pleasure of being presented with in sophisticated surrounding. We travel a well worth 45 minutes to this venue, already a repeat customer and looking forward to our next visit! A must try!

It was our 11yr wedding anniversary and we celebrated with a meal at the restaurant. The meal was delicious and the staff were very attentive to our needs. Will definitely be visiting the restaurant again

I have eaten here several times with friends and have always had a wonderful time - this time I came with my husband and it didn't disappoint. The service was exemplary and the food was as delicious as always. The staff are efficient and professional but also exceptionally warm and friendly. We had a great time and I shall definitely be back again soon.

Best curry house in all of London. Better than Dishoom (!!). All waiters are lovely and the vibe is fantastic. Curries are fabulous and no matter what you get you’re always impressed by the flavours. Masala Chai is also nice and spicy! Would recommend this to anyone but make sure you book in advance.

The food wasn’t good enough. You don’t get what you pay. Never again!!

Noisy , cramped , rushed service , food average but expensive. Got order Wrong twice and paid £7.50 for cobra ! I was shocked how expensive it was poppdoms broken into triangles ???? and a side salad which consisted of 1 slice of cucumber we won’t be coming again !!!

Have always loved this Indian restaurant. Their speciality dishes especially are delicious! And really enjoyed the creamy kulfi dessert. Considering it was a very busy Friday night, service was top notch. It is pricier than your normal curry house but worth it for the odd treat!

I was treated to a birthday meal at The Moghul by my sister and brother-in-law. We went early - about 6 p m and it was pretty quiet. The food was excellent as was the service. By the time we left at about 7.15 p m it was starting to get quite busy. The restaurant is clean and well set out and the expansion a few years ago made a big difference. The Manager said he has been there for a lot of years! Recommended. 🙂

Visited Monday evening with some work colleagues and had a superb meal. Really good service, great food and good value. Restaurant is spotlessly clean and smartly presented. Plenty of space and comfortable. They also do a Monday / Tuesday special that looked great value for £20 Thankyou Ajmol and team for looking after is so well

It's been a while since we've been to the Moghul, and as ever, the food and service were tip top.

Folks, I’d suggest avoiding the Lamb chops (well over cooked). Commend the zero wastage policy, good attempt to salvage. Peshwari nann was soft and cloudy, Chicken mains were very Good!!

I've been coming to The Moghul for years. It's a lovely restuarant, food and service always top notch. However, sadly we won't be visiting again any time soon. We all know there is a cost of living crisis but £18.90 for a main dish (chicken shaslik) is just beyond. I visited with a friend and we ordered boiled rice, sag paneer, bombay potatoes, onion bhaji and chicken shaslik which we shared. Diet coke and a red wine. We were shocked when the bill came in at over £70. We had been there a month before and only paid £55 for exactly the same meal. I queried the price as I thought that was extortionate for a main dish, but nope it was right, an increase of £15+ is ridiculous. Sadly I think they have outpriced themselves, for us.

Lovely restaurant would recommend everyone to try

Service was very poor. Sat for an hour then asked if we’d like our food. When it came 2 meals were totally wrong. So by the time the right meals came 3 of us had practically finished our food. Pure shambles. Drinks orders incorrect. Been many times before but not sure I’d go back again. £200 for a rubbish experience !
