Came here with my two teenagers for some lunch and what a great find !! Fresh bread sandwiches baked on the premises and pastries and cakes galore ! Also you can see the kitchen and the bakers in action !! A must if you visit Margate !! 10/10

We visit Margate 3 or 4 times a year and always have breakfast here. The best viennoiserie ever, massive sizes so we usually share one with a coffee. And then stock up on sourdough and other goodies to take home and keep us stocked up til we go again. We've never tried the sandwiches, but they look fab too. And the staff are always delightful. Do not miss.

They sell the best sourdough at the best price, and give the friendliest service. Always a pleasure to visit.

Best sourdough I have ever had and the pastries and cakes are amazing. All made on site and it makes such a difference. Quality of the ingredients is really high and it comes through in the taste. Not supermarket prices but worth every single penny! Staff are so friendly as well, definitely the place to go.

What a treat this place is! We're lucky to live near enough to walk down and pick up fresh bakes to take home for breakfast, but we have stayed for their coffee too, which is lovely. Reasonable prices for the best and biggest croissants I've ever had, and the range of cakes and other bakes on offer is delectable. Saw a sandwich being made up for the customer in front of me, looked fab with gorgeous think crusty bread and fresh fillings. Worth a visit, for sure.

I stopped buying sourdough for a while to try and cut down on my spends but i missed it so much that I went and bought a loaf today, also picked up some local Sausages and eggs wholst I was there. The sourdough is much better priced and larger than other establishments around so i shall be definitely be returning for more local loveliness 💖

Beautifully cooked croissants and pastries - melt in the mouth - generous size - limited selection but that's great because you know they are all freshly baked - hot chocolate and coffee great taste - friendly service - few groceries to buy: milk, fresh bread etc. I go there every time I'm in Margate and have never been disappointed.

I wondered past this place and decided to try it for breakfast. There is a lovely selection of breads, pastries and cakes, but it does get busy on the weekends. I had to queue at least 20mins on a Saturday morning at 8:20am. I tried a selection of croissants, cakes and the cruffin (which was quite nice). I found the croissants a tad salty for my liking, but otherwise they were quite large and very flaky with lots of layers.

I trecked up from the beach for a pastry, after reading other reviews but I was really disappointed. I'm not sure why the other reviews are so good when this was just not up to the standard of other bakeries in the area. I usually go to the place in the old Kent market, which is far superior. There are so many great places to buy bread and delicious sweet treats in Margate, this isn't one of them. Definitely not worth a visit.

Wow best bakers in the local area by far! Friendly and welcoming staff and owner. Really good size portions of cakes, breads and other items at a reasonable price. Definitely recommend. P. S- Where they are very popular try and get there first thing in morning

I walk every Friday from Westgate to Margate . Have a rest in one of the local cafés before heading back. Part of the trip is a detour to the Modern Provider to buy my sourdough bread (and the odd orange and cinnamon bun or other viennoiseries). You can see the boulanger/patissier beavering away in the back of the pristine shop. Just like being in France! NB: This sourdough bread should not be allowed, it's too yummy! (toasted is even better!)

Excellent coffee, best black americano in Margate. They do freshly baked bread and jams/ honey for sale. A gem in Margate, with lovely staff. Highly recommend.
