We visited this cafe for lunch on the last day of Sept when on holiday. Initially we were a bit taken aback by the c.£10 homemade sandwich price but ordered 2 different sandwiches plus 2 cream teas for 4 of us to share. This was a good move as the sandwiches were huge doorsteps! One was smoked salmon and cream cheese with loads of salmon, the other was cheese ploughman's with a great big wedge of cheese inside, each with salad and crisps on the side. We cut them up to share and Mum said they were the best sarnies ever! The scones were also wonderful with clotted cream and jam and a big teapot and we could switch the tea for other hot drinks if we wished. Really impressed. What a shame the cafe is closing down this month. Hope it gets another owner of the same calibre! A lovely peaceful spot too when exploring the church and it's tropical grounds.

We have been patronising this establishment for a number of years during our annual holiday to the area. This year we were disappointed, not particularly in irrespective of service or quality, but the extraordinary hike in the price of their cakes. Most of the offered cakes were tray bakes with a large swirl of cream on top, more akin to cup cakes but at £4.50 each, we decided to opt for the cream tea. Probably our last visit!

Beautiful surroundings, a welcome stop after a lovely walk. They were not able to offer a full menu due to staff shortage, however, offered to do something for our daughter who is Gluten and dairy free. We were really grateful. What a find!! This place is absolutely superb and I would advise anyone to go if you're in the area. We visited 3 days running and tried the Cornish breakfast one morning a poached pear, stilton and walnut salad for lunch the next day and of course the cream tea. All the food was delicious and beautifully presented and the staff were absolutely lovely and attentive. But I must mention Tom who is one of the kindest people we have ever met and a true asset to the team there. Thank you for everything and for looking after our 3 thirsty dogs with buckets of cold water!

Brilliant. Returned here after a chance visit last year, and travelled here intentionally. We had a cheese and chutney salad sandwich with cappuccino and bakewell tart to follow. Congratulations to Amy and team! Being in the same business ourselves in a different part of the country it was a delight to find somewhere that have polite, well trained staff who know how to waitress and converse, spotlessly clean premises and proper homemade food. We enjoyed every mouthful and will return. Great to have time to chat and share our experiences of running a business in these times. Be encouraged!

Been here before and it was lovely, this time mid January certainly not good at all, no welcome and a curt order taking by magda I believe her name was and we settled on the creamy mushrooms on toast, this time it arrived like a soup swimming around on the plate, undermining the sourdough which was soggy within seconds, not at all like the last time where the creamy mushroom concoction sat firmly on the bread, didn't complain as the aforesaid server I imagined would'nt have been very responsive and we were in a hurry

If you’re prepared to pay then this is a lovely little place to stop. Two of us stopped for lunch today but found it to be expensive. A coffee, a fruit juice, a ploughman’s and garlic mushrooms on toast came to £27. Don’t get me wrong, it was very tasty and nicely presented but £10 for one slice of sourdough toast, some mushrooms in a garlic sauce and a couple of pea shoots really is too much. The ploughman’s was £12 and was very nice. I also noticed the soup was over £7! If you want something nice to eat I’ll recommend it but if you want reasonable prices, don’t bother.

Love this place and great to be able to visit again, my only gripe would be that considering that they had been closed due to a COVID case, no staff (that we saw) were wearing masks when they reopened, that is a shame, as all the customers where when indoors. Cornwall does/did have a high case rate at the time, so it would have been sensible in my eyes at least. But, not to detract from the fact it is a fantastic place to visit.

Called here today 24/08/21 expecting coffee and cake. Sadly disappointed to find it completely closed due to Covid. Fully understand how dreadful it is for the hospitality industry and how so many businesses and staff have been impacted. All they needed to do was drop a note on their website, Facebook or Tripadvisor to say they are closed, this would save so many people having wasted journeys. I had already received an email from a restaurant yesterday which I had booked several weeks ago. They were cancelling because of closing due to Covid. However, they were thoughtful and contacted guests who had booked. I really appreciated their thoughtfulness and emailed them to say so. I understand this cafe is a different concept and cannot contact its customers directly in this way. However, a little consideration would not go amiss. Please put it out there if you need to close in future. I hope your team all return to good health very soon and you can re-open.

We stopped off for a walk and work up an appetite for a cream tea and it was lovely. Plenty of jam and cream and a large pot of tea. Staff were great and we couldn’t fault how quick the service was. We would definitely go again. Despite it being busy, we had no issues with social distancing and our tray was brought by a lady wearing a mask.

Lovely cream tea with the family but extremely dissapointed in the lack of acknowledgment by the staff in relation to covid 19. No PPE worn at all and two members of staff at our table at once showing no signs of respecting social distancing

We called in to the tea room while walking, and were very impressed. We tried many of the light lunch options and all were delicious. Cakes and cream teas were great too. Just what you need in the middle of a walk!

Welcome was so nice. We had a dog which was welcome to come in too and they provide a little treat for them. The cafe was very clean and bright there was a good selection of cakes, local teas and snacks. Well worth a visit if you are in the area. See you all again

My family and I visited st Just not expecting anywhere to be open and the quaint tea rooms were. Started with tea then cake and my wife had a cheesy pot. The taste was wonderful, as was the service, with delicate China table wear.Christmas Eve eve. Thank you ladies.

I brought friends to visit Amy’s tea room... called Miss V’s, to have a light lunch. We were greeted by friendly staff and served excellent food and drink. I had the Mushrooms on toast...omg it was delish! Thanks Amy and I think it was Nicky for being so hospitable. We will be back.

We went to find the famous church at St Just in Roseland and found this wonderful cafe as well! Telling us that the lovely new building was only opened in June this year, having been operating out of a “shed” , Miss V was enthusiastic and keen to share her story with us. Having had a delicious cream tea, it was heartening to hear that everything is home made on site, with an original menu, not huge but enough choice to keep people interested. We thought the prices were realistic, portions fair and we couldn’t leave without bringing a couple of cakes home with us! Good luck for the future Miss V, you deserve to succeed with your flair and hard work

We stopped by for a late lunch ( and cake of course). The mackerel pate was delicious, as was the coronation chicken salad. Just had to finish with one of Miss V's infamous cream teas- her scones are so light. As always, we left extremely full but very happy. Guaranteed a warm friendly welcome and delicious food and home made cakes each time.

Terrible value for money. We called in yesterday and ordered two coffees and two slices of Victoria sponge. We were charged £12.00, however when the coffee and cake arrived I could not believe the portion sizes. The Victoria sponge was cut so thinly that it hardly held together and the coffee cups were only filled half way up. I felt as though I had been well and truly ripped off.We would never call in there again. If you want coffee and cake my advice would be take a flask, call in to the supermarket and pick up your cake. The quality will be as good, the portion sizes will be fair and it will cost you a 1/5th of what you will pay at Miss V’s

Just returned from a very enjoyable visit to Miss V's at St Just. I can thoroughly recommend their delicious Frangipane. It was warm enough to sit outside and look at the lovely view of the trees that surround St. Just Church.

Came with my family for lunch in the summer as we’d followed them on Facebook and wanted to try them for ourselves. Such a sweet little place we sat outside which was so pretty. Beautiful flowers on the table and so peaceful. We had a ploughmans and some cake. The food was lovely. It did feel a little empty when we first got there inside. There was no music or anything to give it an atmosphere so it felt a little strange and awkward at first when we walked in. Plus a little menu would be nice to sit and read through. But apart from that it was so lovely, lovely ladies serving and spotlessly clean! Can’t wait to return for one of their lovely high teas one day soon
